The staff was excellent, the room nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey but the the food was delicious.

The Hilton Capital Center in Baton Rouge is now in my top 3 hotels! The hotel and everything about it are wonderful. I had a great stay on a Monday night for Bob Dylan and bought drinks for some friends at the downstairs bar after the show. Bar staff were great as were all I met. I could hardly get myself to go to bed while enjoying the balcony off my room. Don’t raise the rates (which are nice considering what you get).

It's The in a perfect location. Everything is in walking distance. There's a pool on 3rd floor with large seating area where you xan watch the Mississippi river go by. However, the hotel needs to be updated. The rooms look run down and mattress i slept on was a very old spring mattress. I felt spring popping up. Not comfortable at all. Be prepared to pay for parking. There's NO FREE parking. The valet parking is much cheaper than the paid lots. Valet was i believe 37 per day. The paid lots are over 100 for 24h. Overall I was satisfied but expecting more.

Arriving at the property from the outside was okay got inside at about 5:30 p.m. and had to wait to hear back from housekeeping for about 20 minutes and then just get basically handed a key and had nothing explain to me and my wife regarding the property any amenities breakfast dinner drink nothing. The room we booked was supposed to be a sweet which did did cost a pretty penny and when we walked into the suite it was so outdated and made no sense the way it was set up with an itty bitty 32-in TV in the middle of the room with a sectional couch all the way to the left of the room and the bed all the way to the right and a TV right in the middle to where you couldn't see it from any seated position in the room unless you moved the furniture around. So I moved the furniture around to be able to sit down and watch TV that was horrible like I would think that hotel where you're spending almost $500 a night would have at least a halfway decent TV and couch but the couch was full of stains and when I moved the couch it looked like it hadn't been moved in years there was so much dust and dirt and cobwebs and dead spiders underneath the couch and on the floor that whoever is head of housekeeping obviously does not understand deep cleaning and that these rooms need to be deep cleaned every so often. The only positive thing about this hotel was the food. I would compare this hotel to Holiday inn DoubleTree home2go not a 4 star Hilton. We will never stay here again.
