The hotel was lovely. Staff very attentive and nice. What I didn’t like was that the option of the Executive King River View Room as an option when the Executive floor bar/balcony is not even open or a thing for over a year now. Unhappy that I paid more for something when I could’ve paid less for exactly the same rooms that we got.

The only problem I had was. We took the shuttle to the center. They told us to call the hotel to come pick us up when we are ready. I did that. We waited where they drop us off. They never showed up. We had to walk back to the hotel in the rain.

Valet was horrible, took. Over an hour to get vehicle each time. App for valet didn’t work. Valet didn’t put parking slip in windshield in turn vehicle had a boot put on. Took 3 hours to get it off. Only positive was the manager provided free breakfast which was nice.

We chose this location because it was close to the Convention Center for Nationals. Its location was convenient for walking around and had a few restaurants nearby. Valet was amazing and fast and helped with directions getting around. The front staff was nice when needed. The room was small but nice and cozy until the A/C went out in the middle of the night and wasnt back on for several hours which made it uncomfortable and difficult to get ready for our day. The bathroom was nice but no fan to help with circulation while showering. The beds were comfortable. We did enjoy the pool and the restaurant/bar which served up local brews and great cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating!

The parking attendants and van drivers were excellent. The bar tenders were ok, but did shut off the tv’s on a Saturday night at 11pm. There was no other common area to go to. The mirrors behind the bar were filthy the whole time we were there. The room was ok however the furniture was stained and had to use towels on the chair in the room due to the condition. The pool very cloudy. The corn hole was a nice option.

The room smelled like urine , and so did the whole 9th floor. We started sneezing the moment we got in . The shower had someone else's hair and the paint was coming off. There was a piece of the wall missing. Only reason why we didn't ask to be moved it's because we were exhausted.

My bathroom was so dirty. Ring around toilet, stains on sink counter, bathtub was dirty and rusty. We asked to be moved to another room and unfortunately, it had the same issues. The staff was very accommodating with moving us and checking on us, but we didn't want to keep changing rooms if they were all the same.

The property itself is nice to look at & situated by the beautiful river and walking paths. The price to park or have valet service is ridiculous, rooms were not cleaned or replenished, checked into a dirty bathroom other people’s hair everywhere, mold in the toilet.empty shampoo & conditioner, no complimentary coffee refilled not once! Valet was a gong show~ could not find keys as zone guests handed keys with no tickets - double charged for valet parking when only used it 1 night for an 8 block cc was charged 47.00 USD twice!

We just left Capital Hilton this afternoon. Worst hotel experience… dirty (room), old seedy cracked leather furniture, only one of the two room cards worked, defective TV requiring a maintenance visit, water bugs near pool and on the deck, no ice available two nights on our floor, no housekeeping visit… one visit out of five nights - garbage, unmade beds, no fresh glasses… had to personally approach a cart to get fresh towels, staff at front door (3 people at all times) talked amongst themselves and were on their phones - not once was a door opened, not once were we greeted, upon check in, not a luggage cart was offered for our bags ( 2 rooms family of 5), only one out of 2 card keys worked, one person behind the desk with a half hour wait for our turn to check in - she was unbelievably unfriendly… one of the room doors required a maintenance visit AND restaurant closed on a Saturday night - only food available had to be ordered and eaten in the bar - all of the tables were dirty and needed to be bussed. We have stayed at the Watermark up the block many times and have had a wonderful experience. Only reason we went to the Hilton was due to traveling with children and the Watermark does not have a pool.. The Hilton pool has a tremendous deck with a pool the size of an average kiddie pool. Pool in need of repair as a screw was sticking out for a light in the pool.. dangerous. Stay elsewhere

We had a 3:00 check in, issue in the hotel did not allow us to check in until 5:30!!! Room was dirty, found a pair of dirty socks on the floor, hallway smelled like urine! Noise in room when air came on and went off, knocking noises! It would be nice to receive a refund. I would never want to stay here again!!!

The property is very worn and dated. The gold elevators are tarnished. The room was super dusty, the tile in the foyer area waa dirty, the seating waa stained, and the furniture was old and worn out. The gift shop lacked many common amenities found in other hotels and my husband had to retrieve our own car with paid valet service.

Overall the room was not as nice as we expected- lots of wear on furniture, large rust stain in tub, only 1 glass in room( un- wrapped), no microwave!!. I’ve been to lesser rated hotels where we got complimentary water too( and fresh cookies). No comfortable chair to sit in. A rubber mat in the tub would have helped as it did get slippery when soapy. We were happy to get upgraded to river view instead of city view. The beds were comfortable.

We had a great time with impeccable service. A couple things to be aware of. Out of 5 floors only one ice machine was working another is the particle board furniture was deteriorating so much so that the drawers to the dresser would not stay shut and kept sliding open all night and the last thing was the roof top area closes at 10pm. I understand there’s a liability issue with there now being a pool but for those that want to enjoy that beautiful view maybe they could just close off/ lock the pool area and leave a place for the rest of us? We used to have so much fun going up there before it was renovated.

Check-in was for 3:00 PM. I got there about 3:30 PM, checked in, but no room available. Was available about 6:00 PM. Not the fault of the three desk clerks as they were dealt a bad hand, but they had to deal with the public. Other than that, the whole stay was enjoyable, the staff was professional, and it was a nice stay other than the delay in getting my room.

The Hotel was OK, but we did not have a great experience. W went to check in a little early (about 2:30) but our room was not ready. That was fine - we stowed our luggage and went out. Came back at 7:00 pm and out room was still not ready. They upgraded us to a junior suite with a pull out bed. There was no bedding for the pullout, so we called housekeeping to make up the bed while we were out. We came back after midnight and the pull out bed was not made up. Called housekeeping, but nobody was there. Front desk said they would see what they could do. Finally someone came up and made the bed. I expect a little better for a brand like Hilton.

Unfortunately check in wasn’t pleasant we arrived at the hotel around 4pm. Check in is at 3pm the room was not ready until 5pm the staff said they would call when the room was ready they never called I had to keep checking. The room smelled of mold or chemicals. The hot water in our room didn’t work.

Having a special weekend planned, the staff was incredibly helpful. From Ethan driving the shuttle and helping bring flower arrangements to the room, to Adonis at the desk checking in and helping with my special arrangements. Then Sonnisha assisting with our special requests. The valets were great as well. Overall, the staff played a very helpful role in helping make this weekend an incredible success!!

Hotel was overbooked. Gave countless excuses. Booked King bed room with city view. Received 2 queen beds. Hair all over the shower walls. Went to desk for explanation. Said they didn’t have king room available. Offered me free parking and a drink but didn’t explain the free drink is only beer or house wine. At Check out I end up getting charged for parking.

I booked a room with a River View because it was my wife’s birthday. This hotel location is fantastic. We attended a comedy show at the Manship Theatre which was less than a five minute walk from the hotel. We ate a Lloyd’s poor boy, Jolie Pearl and Little Village restaurants which all were in walking distance.

This grand old classic is well worth the money. Recently upgraded, the service is amazing and the rooms are wonderful. You are right on the Mississippi and near the Old Capitol. Also to far from the LSU campus. Great for walking. Loved our stay!

Clean room ,good staff,great breakfast. Perfect place and nice surrounding things to do. Nice Pool area but Pool could be a little bigger. Overall experience VERY GOOD !WOULD RECOMMEND AND COME BACK VERY SOON!
