Vacation Village in the Berkshires

We had a great time. The rooms are nice. The kids had a blast swimming in the pool and spa, working out in the gym, and playing at the playground. We hope to come back next year. Absolutely beautiful views.

The property is lovely. It is clean, well kept. The amenities are wonderful. The indoor and outdoor pool areas are very nice. There are barbecue areasas well. The condo accommodations are simple but quite adequate. There is an EV charging station on site. That was greatly appreciated! I had a relaxed stay t in the Berkshire Mtns.

Very nice property. Rather old, but well kept. The grounds are very pretty and well manicured. The pools are both nice and very clean. The arcade is attractive, I am sure kids would like it. Overall very attractive location. Well worth the rental rates.

A rare, affordable place in the Berkshires! The scenery is stunning, and we loved the pools (both indoor and out) and fire pit. The staff was friendly, and our room was spacious but dated: the blinds were broken, the doors stuck, the walls were paper thin and our king-size mattress had clearly seen better days (so uncomfortable!) But we were glad to have enough space for three, plus a terrace overlooking the woods and close by the outdoor pool. Fully stocked kitchen as well. We will be back.

Excellent stay- wonderful indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. Next week I’m sure the huge outdoor pool and kiddie pool will be open. Also great kids playground, basketball court, volleyball and gym. No breakfast or food available but you have a fridge and ability to cook. Coffee maker in the room. Highly recommend

Liked the fact there are 2 pools, an indoor and an outdoor.

The pool was heated and had a ledge inside to sit and shallow enough for everyone to swim. Very comfortable and beautiful with the big windows all day and all night until 11 PM with access to full shower and locker room with a fire pit outside.

The Jacuzzi jets can be a little better but the pool is nice and the place is very nice

The kids mushroom pool was under construction again.

We have stayed here several times over the years and this is the first time we have been disappointed with our stay. The rooms were not cleaned very well, we found a chip on the chair, a red stain on the blanket, gum on the sofa and we were disgusted to see mouse poop all over the mattress of the pull out couch. We called the front desk and were put on hold and then were told they didn’t have any other rooms available, we were not ok with that so they put us on hold again and transferred us to someone else who seemed annoyed and then very reluctantly agreed to move us to another room. So at 9 pm we had to pack up our car with our two young children and move to a different building at the other side of the property. The new room was also not cleaned very well, but luckily did not have any mouse poop in it, at least not that we saw. We were not even offered a discount on our stay or even any help with moving so late at night. We will be looking for other options to stay next time we are in the area.

Our rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds and views are very pretty. This was the second time we stayed here and we would happily do so again, as we have family in the area and enjoy exploring the Berkshires.

This was our fourth stay at Vacation Village. We keep coming back because we like the peace & serenity of the surrounding area. Our room was clean (so we thought) and neat upon arrival, with anything we could need provided - dish soap, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, etc. Our room this time didn’t have an oven, which was fine as we didn’t have the need for one but definitely something to keep in mind! Pool was clean and warm, hot tub was great! Bed was comfy, bathroom is huge with a stand up shower and his & hers jetted tub. Great water pressure, and the tap water is delicious here :). However - while getting ready to leave we had to move a night stand to get to the outlet behind it unplug in our chargers. Once the night stand was moved, my fiancée stepped on a large shard of broken glass slicing his foot. There were pieces of broken glass all behind the nightstand and bed (which then made me question how well the room was actually cleaned). Luckily we didn’t have any kids with us which could have been a disaster. He did mention the cut/broken glass to the woman at the desk upon checkout but she was incredibly indifferent and unapologetic. Ultimately, I’m not sure if this will keep us away in the future, because we do like the property otherwise - but it definitely put a damper on our experience overall. Also - There aren’t a ton of options for food in the area unless you drive into Pittsfield but what is there is great. Olde Forge & Blueberry Hill Cafe are our standbys

Great location. Room smelled like stale smoke. Bed squeaked at the slightest movement. Otherwise comfortable and clean.

The property was well maintained and the room/apartment was clean and in excellent condition. We will be booking again!

Comfortable room for one night. Biggest complaint was the smell. Walking into building 5 yours hit with this horrible acrid smell that actually made me gag. Fortunately the room was okay but the hallways were gross. Otherwise it was good.

Clean, comfortable one bedroom condo with full size fridge, microwave, 2 burner hotplate and plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, and pans. Beautiful location with many resort features for the whole family. Staff is wonderful and quick to respond if you need help with anything in the condo.

It was a quick 1 night stay, but we would have stayed longer if we had the time! The basic suite was very large. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, wine glasses, etc. The front desk staff was perfectly polite and welcoming. I will say that it wasn't obvious when I booked that one has to do one's own dishes, take out the trash. Luckily I read reviews in advance (after booking) so it came as no surpise. Also I learned from other reviews that any restaurant is a healthy drive away, and no food is served on-site. So we knew going in to bring some snacks, and plan in time to drive to any restaurant. (This is just a minor convenience and I'm glad I read reviews before arriving so we weren't surprised.) We'd stay here again!

Beautiful view of the ski resort! Large room and perfect location for our trip! Can't wait to be back!

Beautiful setting and clean. Room was well equipped. Bed mattress was well worn and should be replaced.

Need better wifi

This facility is in a beautiful location. Check-in was easy and staff are very friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, here is where the positive aspects end. The following were the shortcomings. The walls are not sound proof, you can hear people walking and any running water whether from a shower, sink, toilet, or the laundry room. If you are a light sleeper, you may not get any rest. I found tiny bugs in the villa that we were assigned to. Not sure if they were gnats or what. The dishwasher leaked all over the floor. Though soap was provided, I was not aware that there was no shampoo or conditioner provided. Had to make a run to a store for this. The dining chairs had stains on them as did the sofa cushions. The ironing board kept collapsing while using, which was frustrating. The shower doors were installed backwards. Which can also leak all over the floor. Though the reviews from family were positive, I have a hard time wanting to actually return.

Beautiful location across from ski mountain. Pool w great view. In-room kitchen is convenient. Gas fireplace nice in winter. Private, quiet room. Wifi was out for a couple of days. Desk did not explain this until we asked. Luckily cell service was good. Helpful staff, quickly reachable by text.

The toilet needed to be plunged when we got there and there was only one roll of paper. Great location Not the best bed

The sofa bed was horrible. Very very old. They should replace it with a new sofa bed.

The first few nights were fine. It's quiet, comfortable, and clean. There's nothing nearby so you either have to bring your meals or pay extra to have food delivered. I can understand why some of the reviews complained about the furnishings being dated, but I couldn't care less about that, they're clean and comfortable. The "nature view" wasn't quite what I hoped for, and that was disappointing. However, my real issue was with the beetles that ended up in my bed the last two nights. I don't know where they came from, but I didn't sleep at all the last night after finding an insect crawling all over me. The VIP benefit wasn't honored and they didn't acknowledge my birthday (I wasn't looking for freebies, it's just nice to be seen). Overall, I give them a C+

Nice location in the Berkshires. Front desk was horrible. Sent us 2 emails certifying that are room would be ready by 4pm. Even did all the pre check in online to make things “quicker “. Room wasn’t ready until after 530 pm. I had to keep going up to the front desk to ask for updates because nobody would tell me anything. The attitude of the staff was like “oh,well”. I paid extra for a king suite with a balcony and mountain view. Our view was blocked by a giant tree. Nothing like the pictures on the website. No USB plugs in the rooms. Clean and quiet but very dated. Nice pool.

Excellent front desk person was very helpful on check-in. Slight snafu with my room, but she more than made up for it! Great room, great staff, great facilities and amenities! Would definitely stay here again...

Reception upon arrival was very slow. It took almost two hours to reach the checkin counter.

Check-in took over half-an-hour. When we used the ‘text to front desk feature they ignored me. I texted again (about not having any blankets for our kids sleeping on the pullout couch in a room with an occupancy of 4) and they told me to come to the front desk. Mind you, they sell this text the desk feature as a way to avoiding having to drive up to the front desk. Whatever. My wife goes to the front desk and they are apparently rationing the blankets. How do you not have enough blankets to cover occupancy? So bizarre. This place is just barely good enough.

Why have an on-line pre-check process if you have to wait in a long line when you arrive. Need to have separate line(s) for those who pre-check.

We loved this property. We extended our stay multiple times and Brad (property manager) is amazing and so accommodating. The pools and activities keep the kids busy and happy all day. We had a great stay!

Great access to Jiminy ski slopes.

Excellent apartment in a rural setting. Car is essential. The local area is stunning as a summer or winter resort.

Easy to get to, nice property. Lots of things to do and easy to communicate.

I loved the mountains all around, beautiful scenery.

Jiminy Peak is just a minute away. 👍

Beautiful property, booked room with Mountain View but got a parking lot view, very few conveniences nearby. Make sure you bring everything you need including food and drink. If you are looking for isolated, you his is the place for you

The driveways and parking areas are in mediocre condition. The furniture is ok but not as good as in other timeshares we have visited and the kitchenette is functional but as complete as is desirable. However, on the positive side, the property is quiet and surroundings are scenic. It is located in decent proximity to Berkshire attractions (Greylock Glen, Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, Jiminy Peak, The Clark and MASSMoCA, Hancock Shaker Village, Mt. Greylock).

I was a last minute call, but everything went good! Great location, clean and big room. Front desk was really nice. The resort has a really beautiful view of the Jiminy Peak mountain. The only disappointment was that the resort has no restaurant.

The property was very well maintained. Our room was very spacious and nice and clean. We did not receive any room service during our stay, We did end up running out of toilet paper and clean towels and had to walk all the way to the front desk which wasn’t attached to our building, a little inconvenient but not the worst thing ever(I’m sure if we had requested room service we could of gotten it). The pool was big and clean at a great temperature. The staff was very friendly. My only other complaint was when I booked the room on Expedia I filtered my stay to choose something that had breakfast included and this hotel popped up, and upon arrival they did not have breakfast. Our room did have a kitchen in it so we just went to the local market and got food to make at the room and there was many amazing food options around the hotel! Overall it was a great stay in a BEAUTIFUL location, we would definitely book again.

It was a vacation apartment, better than the usual hotel. It was 20 minutes outside of Pittsfield which meant plenty of dining options. There was no elevator that I saw but many rooms are level with parking or just one floor up or down. Looked like a great place for longer trips especially with children because of the full kitchen, swimming pools, game room, etc. I was just a solo traveler on a road trip and the price was right. It was perfect for me too

We had a nice stay - we only needed one night before visiting Williams college. The front desk staff upgraded us to be closer to the clubhouse which probably seemed a nice thing to do but had he asked, we’d have preferred to be with less people around and in the quiet - we were exhausted. Property could really benefit from an onsite pizza spot or cafe so don’t have to get everything in town if a short time stay or late check in. Very unfortunately I developed food poisoning- possibly from the local Mexican restaurant but could have been from someplace earlier and was sick all night. The bed was so creaky it was hard not to disturb my daughter every time I had to get up to be sick. We felt bad running dishwasher for the small number of dishes we had but didn’t want the cleaning penalty. All in all given the circumstances very nice play to stay, clean and comfortable and sans our marathon trip and illness we’d have taken advantage of all it has to offer more.

Oddly it had some of the best coffee we had on the drip for use with the in-room coffee machine!

Nice place. Pleasantly surprised how big the suite was. The whole place was very clean from the suite itself, the huge indoor pool and hot tub. The clerk that checked us in was very knowledgeable of the area and just a pleasant person. She is an older lady, I forget her name but she is a definite asset to this property! On the down side the path to the main office was not well lit but we used our flashlights. Also there isn't restaurants on site or groceries available. We had to travel 25 minutes to get a bite to eat.
