Hyannis Plaza Hotel

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations (which I did not know when booking). Lots of building materials in the parking lot and dust everywhere. The hotel restaurant was also closed, undergoing renovations. The staff is very pleasant and professional.

Our room was clean. There was a specific smell in the room. You could smell it when you come back from outside. The first floor of the hotel smells like weed. The second floor smelled a little better. The swimming pool was dirty, it had a lot of dirt and debris swimming in it. Nobody was swimming. We stayed in the older part of the hotel in the regular hotel suite with 2 double beds. There was no food in the hotel, no restaurant, no bar. Make sure you buy some snacks and bagels for breakfast. There are many good restaurants and coffee shops near by. Plenty of parking. We came there with 2 cars. The hotel is very conveniently located but needs to be cleaner.

They were doing a remodel so there was no free breakfast. The pool had ducks swimming in the pool so there was duck feathers in the water.

Rough. Area around is pretty rough. People were standing around outside. The exit door was broken to the building so anyone could enter. Not a first or second choice, but works if you are in a tight spot and need somewhere to sleep.

The property advertised online that it had a Business center. It does not. The property advertised online that i had a pool. It does have a pool. The pool area was locked all three days of my stay. The property advertised online and on the sign at the entrance to the property that it offered breakfast at the onsite restaurant. No breakfast is offered at the onsite restaurant. And I had one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had at the onsite restaurant the first evening of my stay. The service was terrible.

Not designated parking for guests versus people parking there to go uptown, not safe if a female is alone trying to find a spot late at night then worrying if car would be there in morning.

Basically, the customer service was really poor. For the price, I was expecting more in comparison with other Hotel.com offers. The A/C was very poor. The back door to the parking lot was not working.

Upon arrival asked if they had an elevator, they do not. Was given a 2nd floor room, they did offer to switch to a first floor if we could wait an hour to hour and half. The room had a narrow shower, uncomfortable and no handrails or safety accessories. Also, apparently now anti-slip on the floor. I suffer a fall in the shower causing bruising and pain to my right hip and buttocks. Asked if they had a Handicap room, they do not, not one in the whole motel. Seems to plenty of room to enlarge the shower and add some safety rails or other safety/handicapped equipment. Also, the exterior doors, although had key access modules, did not lock.. leaving the interior of the hotel wide open to the general public, this does not give a sense of security. .. worse it does not provide any level of security to your room and therefore your family.

The bath tub had not been cleaned and the hot tub in the room looked like it was never cleaned once.

Dirty Room and everything was falling apart in the bathroom. There was a no smoking sign inside but the whole time the room reeked of whatever the next door person was smoking. Absolutely horrible experience and not worth the amount of money we spent.

Dirty hallway. Bugs in the ceiling light. Chocolate on the bed. Holes and stains on the bedsheets. Missing cover on the TV remote. Lack of outlets in the room. Terrible lighting by the sink. I’m sure I’m missing some things, but I ended up going to get a can of Lysol spray that’s how bad it was. Don’t recommend. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The room and hallways felt poorly maintained, with peeling paint and a dingy atmosphere that made the stay less inviting. We were especially disappointed to find the Jacuzzi dirty and the shower dispensers empty. Parking was also concerning, though signs warned unauthorized vehicles would be towed, we never received a parking pass, raising doubts about whether non-guests were taking up spaces. Considering the price, the overall experience felt average and underwhelming.

No live tv. It was all streaming. Cheap toilet paper and dispensers. You had to work to get even a few sheets together. Rooms were modern, pleasant and clean. Location was just beyond Main St shopping and restaurants. I prefer being closer to middle of Main St area. Good value if you don't mind extra walking.

Relatively large room. Slept well. Seemed like an older property which has been cobbled together into a large 2-story U-shaped hotel complex. Bummed that there were no elevators. The night we arrived, there were some strange people wandering around the parking lot; not sure if they were other guests or what, but none of them approached or bothered us. Two surprises on arrival: an $8.50 "resort fee" I had to pay onsite and hadn't expected (but I went back and found it was in the fine print and the total was still what I expected), and a busful of senior citizens that kind of temporarily took over the entrance of the building. In the morning, we were greeted by the sound of gulls of other shorebirds outside, but guess that's part of the Cape Cod charm. We picked this place for our first night at Cape Cod because our plane to Boston arrived relatively late and this hotel has 24/7 desk service - that worked out well.

Room was mostly clean. There was an issue with another room at about 5am and staff was knocking loudly on their door and having a very loud, angry conversation about some policy violations. Next evening, sounded like a herd of cattle running around above our room. Called desk and they took care of it. Close proximity to everything we were looking to do. Not a terrible spot. Price was right

Room was clean but we had to listen to very Loud gurgling noises every time someone emptied their hot tub…. 8am…12pm… the room next to us played their tv so loudly until midnight that we couldn’t fall asleep and there was a strong smell of weed coming through the bathroom vent😡 regret staying there was very disappointed by the hot tub, the jets barely worked… 2/10 experience

You can tell this hotel was once a great place to stay, however it’s been cheaply remodeled and is now just basic. Expedia pics make it look much better than it is. One night was ok here, but don't recommend a longer stay.

Excellent location. Restaurants and shopping on Main, convenient store next door, and 5 min. from the beach. The room was very spacious. More space than we even needed. Once they get the front restaurant up and going and get microwaves in the rooms, the place will go from good to excellent. But I'm sure it won't be as affordable when that happens.

I didn't like that someone painted over the jet adjusters for the jacuzzi. The switch in the tub to change to take a shower was broken it seemed wouldn't work properly. Also noticed tiles in the hallway were loose. TV reception was very spotty with limited channels. WiFi was also terrible, came in and out throughout my stay.

You can tell they were under renovations, and our room had recently been redone. Paint and other things. There was several different swipes of different paints and patch jobs that hadnt been covered with the same paint. The bathroom floor was uneven and the door barely shut. There was a 2 inch gap at the top of the bathroom door. The tub had obviously been painted but it was uneven and the jets were all discolored. The door to get in and out of the room was not sealed and showed light on all four sides. We could hear a critter on the back wall near the a/c unit but could not see it. The bed was comfortable and the water was nice and hot.

Wasnt terribly dirty, but definitely wasnt super clean. Both tvs in the room randomly didnt work the first night, and the phone in the room didnt work as well for me to let the front desk know they were not working as well. The amenities in the room were sufficient, just a lil beat up and worn for sure.

During our stay, there was a violent altercation from a guest staying and their domestic partner. It carried on for hours from midnight to after 3am. The staff didn't alert us nor acknowledged the violent event with police precence. There were blood on the hallway floor that weren't cleaned up until after 10am. In addition, the key card stopped working a number times requiring us to bring the card to the front desk for them to fix so we can enter our rooms.

Got to find out I had to pay an extra $8,50 for some sort of fee “that was included” on my booking through Expedia.

We had a recent unpleasant experience at the Hyannis Plaza Hotel in Cape Cod. My husband and I booked through Hotels.com a 4-night stay and used our credit card XX opting to pay in full at check-in. Upon arrival on 7/6/25, at 3:53 PM, I asked to change the payment method to card YY instead. The front desk staff acted annoyed, and charged the full amount to card YY + sec. deposit. On 7/7, I received a fraud alert email about unauthorized charges on card XX. On 7/8, 9AM, I went and met with Mgr Ms. Ruchi and expressed concerns about an attempted of full amount on credit card XX. She explained that the hotel charges for one night before check-in as part of their cancellation policy, and repeatedly stated that it was Experian’s Group policy. I stated that I’d gather more information and seek clarification. My credit card company confirmed a full + 2 other small amounts being attempted to card XX on 7/6, several hrs before my check-in, all made by the Hyannis Plaza Hotel. On 7/9, I met with Ms. Ruchi and Mr. Mark, where they insisted that all the charges were made per Experidian’s Group pre-charge policy. Ms. Ruchi then walked away and asked Mr. Mark to handle the checkout on the spot, stating they’d refund me for the last night of my stay and asked me to leave the hotel. This experience left my husband and me feeling frustrated and embarrassed, something we have never encountered after years booking with Hotels.com and 20 + years of visiting Cape Cod.

The pictures online were very deceiving. The room was very low budget. The supervisor of the building refused to unclog my toilet and excused me and my guest of placing a plastic bag inside the toilet. There’s no place to even get plastic bags. He then told me I needed to get the tissue out myself. Regardless of what’s in the toilet or what appears to be in the toilet.. the employees are responsible for the care of the guests. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. Very disappointing.

Horrible internet in which affects the tv also. Our room keys stopped working had to notify the front desk; no apology or anything. There was a knock at our door and someone said “room service” before my husband got up for the bed the door was already opened by this person…like really? Not the friendliness just had a great location to the town.

Nice rooms - close to everything downtown, outside was a little run-down and outdated, but the room was updated and comfy!

The staff there were pleasant but the rooms were not well kept. They were in the process of remodeling one side of the hotel. The first room provided to us did not look clean. They offered me a different room that was just remodeled which was better. The hotel is close to Main Street Hyannis so you can walk from the hotel on the strip to plenty of shops and restaurants, which was the plus side to this stay.

Convenient location to downtown and many restaurants. TV was sub par.

We went to the Hyannis Music Tent and they were in walking distance. The area had great shops and restaurant.

Last minute one night stay. So cheapest option. Check in staff nice. Definitely not ‘luxury hotel’. Large basic room and bathroom. One room had a wobbly toilet - told girl at checkout in morning and she said she already knew. Other room had a big dent in the wall where someone had kicked it. No breakfast only coffee and green tea at a not very clean counter. Large garbage can overflowing at 8am!!! Just lacked warmth and attention to detail overall. Fantastic Brazilian/Italian restaurant next door.

Property was run down needs alot of maintace. There were Holes in the walls,patches in walls broken title and counter tops in bathroom .the door was falling off and poorly mounted. The paint looked bad didnt match. The restaurant was under construction not opened .The pool was old looking with cracks and old patio furniture around .wish i knew ahead that this was the old cuddles and bubbles. I will neaver return here.

The stay here was quite nice. Clean room and wonderful walk-in shower. Very nice hot breakfast in the morning, too. A suggestion: I had no place by the bed to plug in my CPAP breathing machine. This is a big deal for those of us who rely on this device to get through the night. Had to get the mattress pulled down to access a plug behind it. Cord barely made it to the night stand. Nice, pleasant front desk people. Would stay here again.

Overall - it was fine. I would suggest for folks reserving with 3rd party vendors and thru their own online reservations they mention that 1 there is a $150.00 deposit and 2. During the winter breakfast is not served in the restaurant.
