Best Western Dartmouth-New Bedford

I stayed for the first time at this Best Western on a Saturday night in the basic king room. I usually like BW's when traveling and this one was one of the better ones! On arrival, I had booked about 15 minutes earlier, and staff already had my key card ready, the woman was friendly, and quickly checked me in. I had room 101, I did request top floor in my reservation, but perhaps she didn't see that. That and the pool being closed were the only issues. They did email me after booking stating pool was out of order. The room was close to lobby, but relatively quiet, as I believe we had neighbors, and only noise was in morning from staff in hallway, or on other side of wall, the breakfast area kitchen, although it wasn't obnoxious. Breakfast, til 10am on weekends, was excellent, one of the better ones I have had at BW, eggs and sausage were good, lots of toppings for waffles, and even chocolate milk and 4 juices. Attendant was friendly too and kept everything stocked. They did require a voucher, so others don't sneak in, although we weren't asked to show ours. Never have seen that before! Staff all around were polite, I asked for 11:30 check out which was granted, although after 10am, could not get back in with room key, and it was fixed quickly. The room was fine, TV a bit small, but newly renovated, great condition, clean, great cold fridge, hot water and good pressure in shower, bed was comfortable, but the desk chair had a hole/piece missing. I would stay again!

Parking is a distance away

This is my second time choosing this hotel, is very convenient for us. It has a 24 hour front desk, the staff is very friendly. I like it cause Walmart is about 5 minutes away, making it very convenient to get groceries during our stay. Also I was able to visit friends near by. Hotel is near highways, restaurants and shopping malls.

First of all we received excellent service from Gabby at the Front Desk. The room was clean and neat. Breakfast was excellent. The only complaint was the noise. We had someone in the room above us that we could hear walking around at 5:30 AM. I also wish there was a little more equipment in the Fitness Room.

The property was convenient for our needs, however the room was tired, the bathroom fan didn't do anything, the room was stuffy (maybe HVAC issue), the pool was not open, the breakfast was below par in quality with some equipment broken, and they charge to park in an empty parking lot. I would not stay at this property again.

I had requested and was given a top floor room. The room was in great condition. Only issue was one of the bedside lamps didn't turn on and I later realized it was unplugged. The room was clean, bed comfortable, AC worked well, as did the fridge, and the TV in this room was bigger than what I remember from first room. I did have an issue in the morning, as around 10:45 there was no hot water in the shower, and the pressure briefly varied, but after about 10 minutes the water warmed up luckily. The toilet also flushes rather violently as the floor shakes! I could sometimes lightly hear neighbors, including their TV's, but by time I went to sleep it was quiet. Breakfast was great, the breakfast attendant is friendly, although she asks somewhat intrusive questions at times. I LOVED their new yogurt machine, it tasted great, and I have never seen that before! I used the waffle toppings to make a delicious yogurt cup! There is a great selection including waffles, omelettes with cheese, tasty sausage (I am usually picky about that), juices, Chocolate Milk (!), and pastries. I didn't care for the potatoes which had a frozen taste. BW was a great value, for a Friday night too! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, it is clean and renovated! Pool still broken though...

I found a snake in my room!!!! As well, the room was musty and smelled terrible. The sheets did not look clean and in general the carpets are pretty gross. We had to leave, given the snake factor in our room and they had no other rooms for us. Last minute family of 5 hotel finding at 11 o'clock at night is not fun or easy in Dartmouth. Never got to try the breakfast and NEVER staying at a Best Western again.

Room had stains on carpet. Stains on walls.

Towels in rooms dingy and had stains on them. Pillowcases had stains too. Carpets need to be replaced.

The staff were very friendly! Breakfast was good and the hotel was very clean!!

Carpets were dirty, sink in bathroom was backed up and small bugs crawling in sink. Asked for extra pillows and they only had one left to give. Only stayed one night. Room was very expensive for what it was.

Overall good - clean, good amenities, good staff, etc. But bring earplugs. The walls are extremely thin, and you'll hear anyone talking out in the hallway or the room next door as if they're standing next to you.

We were comfortable, and the hotel room was clean. Our complaint is that the walls are thin and we could hear knocking fairly far down the halfway and conversations in adjacent rooms.

The room was clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower had good pressure. It was convenient to have a refrigerator and a microwave in addition to the coffee maker. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

I loved the kitchen room , and the Space was great .

All of the walls are incredibly thin, so you can hear everything happening in the hotel rooms as you walk down the hallway, and then you can hear your neighbors 2 rooms in all directions. Even with earplugs, I could not sleep.

Great property. Everything is clean and modern. Front desk staff was great. And a big shout out to the hard working lady who did the complimentary breakfast. She was really nice to everyone, and she was zooming around working really hard. I'd definitely reccomend this place and will stay there again the next time were in New Bedford!

The staff, check in, the room were all great. I would like to see the breakfast food have healthier choices.

The staff in the property are above and beyond! They were very helpful when I had to change my reservation and they made the process as seamless as possible. The staff are also so warm and welcoming!

All the staff at the front desk where professional and had excellent customer service for the dates we spent in the hotel 04/28 to 04/30 the housekeeper on those dates where very professional and courteous and did an excellent cleaning job

The room rate that I paid for this hotel is too high. I can pay this fee for four or five star hotel. Also the front desk people need more training as how to treat and welcome guests. I felt so unwelcome when the lady who checked me told me that I can’t use the ladies room before I check in. I travel all over the world and stay at several hotels, however this is the first time that I heard that you can’t use the bathroom before you check in to the hotel.

The front desk clerk, Gabby, was extremely helpful. There was a mixup in reservations at another hotel in the area. By the time I got to Best Western it was late and I was frustrated. She quickly got us checked in and gave us a quiet room.

Check in was very easy and the personnel behind the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly.

We asked to be moved from our original room as folks upstairs were loud.. receptionist move us to 2nd floor, but again under someone directly above us . . I would think with the hotel having only 12 - 18 guests that it would be very easy to space them out accordingly . . . and why would the receptionist put us in a room under someone after we just asked to move from that circumstance? Love the location of the BW, and rooms are v-good, but staff needs to be more attentive . .

The hotel is slightly above average. They had a decent breakfast. It was extremely expensive, but didn't want to go searching for something else. There is also a great BBQ joint nearby. Access to the hotel is difficult from the highway.

Nice place for the price, was very clean, staff was friendly, close to everything. Only downside is being next toor to the Capri hotel which is known for drugs and trouble.

Easy access and good breakfast

14 min. drive to downtown but good and clean room, plus breakfast. Overall for the price!

Not much going on around hotel, limited places to eat or things to do/see. Admittedly, we arrived late and left early the next morning so mot much of a sample size. Best thing I can say is that the room was clean although smelled a bit musty.

Breakfast was subpar Walls are very thin, subject to outside noise Room is directly across from the service laundry, which was always loud, bright light outside. The window was not blocked by the shades at night.

Great clerk for check in, clean room, poor choice at breakfast-literally 2 slices of bread, 1/2 English muffin, 2 small honey buns, and 1 blueberry muffin and 1 chocolate muffin. The hot items were just okay
