Ramkota Watertown

Pool is under lock and key and you have to ask to use it. Hot tub jets didnt work and the pool was ice cold. The entire hotel is dark and dated. Beds are comfortable. The ice machine was completely disgusting. Got some ice and it was covered in black specs so that should be addressed promptly.. this property definitely needs some tlc and some updates. Probably wont be back until thats done especially when paying almost 300$ for the weekend.

Very difficult time finding entry to the pool area. Hot tub was gross and in very poor condition, jets did not work and bottom/sitting area was rough cement. Room was clean and up to date. Friendly staff and decent continental breakfast.

Lounge / Restaurant was closed which was the reasons we picked that hotel. This should be mentioned when you look at the amenities. We were not told they were temporarily closed.

It was good minus the hot tub smelt really bad like urine

In facility restaurant was very good Mexican food. Property is older and has undergone some much needed improvements. The parking lot is in rough shape.

The room was good and the staff was very friendly. Sadly the pool was full of hair.

Absolutely filthy dirty hallways and room horrible smell, beds with pubic hairs , stains on all 3 beds , sketchy neighborhood, dark outside ….. didn’t even stay. Abandoned the room and found a new lace to stay . Went to Ramada down street and that front desk person said it happens a lot people come there after checking into their rooms . Do not stay or book here !!!!!!

Nice facility, super clean room, so many beautiful seating areas around the building to hang out with friends and family!

Property smelled, wallpaper peeling in room. Musty smell in halls, lobby and stairwells. Horrible odor in lobby as well.

The ceiling in the bathroom was literally falling off. The room was terribly musty. Nothing matched the pictures. The doors were heavy and stuck. I only saw two employees and they were both outside the front doors smoking next to a no smoking sign.

My husband and I have a recent history of mold toxicity. This in turn makes us both hypersensitive to mold spores. So, the room smelled horrible as soon as we entered. It smelled very musty and like old urine. The towels & washclothes are about 5 years past retirement. The bed was like sleeping on the floor. We came to Watertown to visit family. We decided to make the best of it but the night before our departure I had to take my husband to the ER for a mold sensitivity reaction. He was treated and then we returned to sleep and leave in the morning for home. Overnight he began to become violently ill again and I noticed an active leak from the toilet. I saw black mold up under the back of the toilet. Tons of moisture in the room. When we left I alerted the front desk of the leak and her response was that the water lines sweat and this always happens in the warmer months. Essentially a breading ground for mold spores. To be fair there is a lot of flooding in the Midwest currently so there are more mold spores in the air, but in combination with what is going on in that room, really put his immune system into overdrive. Wierd how as soon as I got him to the car, he immediately started feeling better. My suggestion is to keep looking for a different hotel like the Holiday Inn Express. Ramkota is way over priced for a Red Roof Inn experience.

On the end of town I needed it to be. A little outdated in my room, had to switch rooms in the middle of the stay.

Rooms are a little small and outdated for the price.

We could NOT get WIFI in our room. Multiple times we went to the front desk. It would work in the lobby, but NOT in our room. Very disappointing! That is a pretty standard & basic amenity. So there is NO excuse for it not working in the room.

Our door knob to our room was broken and the air conditioner was extremely loud to run. We chose being hot over listening to that racket.

The door to the room would not open. I tired 3 or 4 times then as I walked towards the front desk I heard it unlock and was able to get it. The door handle was very loose and rickety.

The hotel was just okay. The room was incredibly small with windows that looked it a random hallway. No windows to the outside. The bed was very firm. Breakfast was meh. Not a lot of options.

Bed was very firm and not comfortable for me. Allows pets so expect to hear barking throughout your stay, was woken up multiple times. Breakfast was disappointing, nothing prepared fresh. Highlight was breakfast sandwich from fridge I microwaved, they did have grated cheese sitting out to put on sandwich...? Not even slices, lol. Juice in boxes had off taste.

The property is older but it was clean. The cellular service inside the building was really bad and the WIFI did not work.

They were very accommodating in getting me a room that was near an exit. However, I was unaware that some of the rooms were interior only (a window to a hallway/sitting space), but no exterior window. The room was very dark with inadequate lighting. During our stay there was a baseball tournament & our wing was very noisy. I did contact the staff who handled the players running around & spilling ice from the ice maker promptly, however, there was continual noise as teams left/returned from games. The air conditioner worked (we had air), but the controls did not work so no way to regulate & it made a lot of mechanical noise. We ended up unplugging it in the middle of night.

The hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and professional.

Nice older place. The check on was easy and the lady that checked me in was wonderful. Big place big clean rooms. Will stay again.

Check in was extremely unfriendly. The whole property is in need of updating. The rooms are dark and dingy and in obvious need of repair. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms and sitting area outside.

The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The pillows were quite uncomfortable and for whatever reason, when you watch TV what people were saying and when their lips were moving was not syncing up. I'd say the very best part of the trip was that AMAZING restaurant. SUCH GOOD FOOD! I will definitely stay here again because it's close to my Mom's, but PLEASE get some better pillows so your guests can be more comfortable. Thank you!

Woman at check-in was gruff. Door to room was challenging and she made me feel like I was an idiot for struggling with it. Door glass was filthy. Place needs an upgrade. No elevator. Hope I don’t ever have to stay there again!

The pool was nice. The kids had fun until some other guests came and took over the room. There was construction in the restaurant but they had a complimentary breakfast with a lot of options. The food was good. The room was clean amd comfortable. They tried to charge my card twice for my stay. There were loud noises in the halls at 10 at night. They do have a party room and separate area away from the rooms but there were people running up and down the halls screaming and waking up my kids.

The room was not real clean, there were several plastic totes on the second floor half full of water, guessing from a leaky roof. Somehow they got my name wrong, double charged me for my room. I cannot recommend staying there.

Very dated, no elevator, breakfast was very limited, ac unit was very loud, and the restaurant was not open. They are living on their reputation not the current standards for comfortable pleasant night stay.

Nice clean motel, staff was super friendly. The beds aren't the best, they were pretty lumpy and springy. Nice pool and hot tub. The breakfast during the week was minimal, but on the weekend they have a couple of hot items. Overall, I would stay here again.
