Was a business/personal trip, in area for funeral. Had hoped to use the hottub to relax, but was informed it has been closed for a year and not expected to reopen for another year. Would have stayed at another hotel had we known. Not worth the extra money if not all services are able to be used. Should have been discounted and noted on hotel information that pool and hottub are NOT Open.

This hotel met our families' needs, the climate was comfortable, breakfast was available, crib in room and adjoining rooms which were all very helpful. And it was close enough to family activities that interested us - water park, Elk Neck, Plumpton Zoo. It is not an attractive venue and not convenient to family style restaurants. Staff upon check in seemed new and befuddled but more experienced personnel came by periodically to help out. One ice machine only on first floor. One elevator - used the stairs alot. Breakfast was predictable hotel fare. The pool was not open which should have been made clear at the time of the reservation for 3 rooms during the summertime.

I always stay here when I'm in the area. It's nice and staff are always friendly. However the pool is still closed.

Check in and greeting was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. No safety grab bar in shower, dangerous for seniors. High temperature hot water, almost at scalding lever. Dangerous for children. Very small single elevator for a four story property. Elevator went out of service on our departure day, thankfully we were only on the second floor.

I’d hate to kick people while they’re down but the meth addicts lurking the property kinda freaked us out. They did not tell us until after check in that the pool was not in service. They have a sign up that says they made accommodations with other hotels with pools in the area, but no one knew who. The ice machine wasn’t working apparently they were filling it with ice from the gas station across the street. So don’t put that in your drinks. They have a sign up that says they sell ice but throw a fit if you ask to buy ice. They say they accept dogs (max 2 dogs no larger than 25lbs each) but then a day or 2 after check in I get random charges on my credit card, I go to the desk and the person was clueless what they were for. Come to find out they dinged me $25 per day for my dog who is under 25lbs. Argued with the manager over the fees, she was completely irate. Expedia ended up refunding me even though Best Western dropped the ball. To top it off there’s sketchy people there with massive pit bulls. Black Mold on ceiling in both the main room and bathroom. I’ve stayed at tons of Best Westerns over the years with no issue including this location. The owner of this one has let this property go completely down the drain. What a shame, it’s a great location. Best Western should drop this one to save face.

The pool and hot tub were out of order for repairs, there wasn’t any air conditioning in the corridors. The room showed a lot of wear

We were disappointed that the pool was closed, but the rest of the facilities were great, and the breakfast was outstanding

Room was clean, quick check-in. Thin walls. We were next to the stairs, the door slammed every 5 minutes in the morning, it was so loud I couldn’t go back to sleep. Through the night there were kids playing in the halls but staff quickly handled that and apologized for the inconvenience. Pool was closed upon arrival for renovation which we didn’t know before hand. Overall, clean and comfortable stay, just loud slamming doors to the stairs.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The neighboring property made for unpleasant view. The fence was falling down and a lot of junk in yard. A new fence to hide this area might be helpful. It would have been helpful to know pool was closed for repairs before we booked.

This was to be a special almost 1st wedding anniversary getaway. Upon arrival at the desk there was an intoxicated guest being wheeled away in one of the luggage carts, an overwhelming smell of diesel & a large liquid mess on the floor where that guest was. We don’t have a pet & wasn’t asked at check-in if we had a pet but put in a pet room that was clearly not cleaned in awhile. There was loose dirt on one comforter, stains on the walls, cobwebs in corners, black goo near door knob, & a tacky floor. We stayed one night in that room. The pillows reeked of dog & linens not fresh smelling. Mattresses old & worn & beyond uncomfortable. Dogs barking in other rooms. The shower had mold in the tub & a hideous large brown stain on the inside shower curtain. Told assistant manager next day of issues & showed her pictures. She was nice & apologetic & moved us to a “better” room. The mattress had a huge brown stain & there were ants crawling around in the bed & on the nightstand. I slept in the chair & wife “slept” with one eye open for the ants & skeevy mattress . Expedia no help because they booked the room through a 4th party. Main manager didn’t seem to care about room issues & said there wasn’t anything she could do as it was booked through Expedia but did call them & said we had to call for a refund of $100. No apology from her for the awful unsanitary issues we endured & spending $788 for 3 nights! NOT acceptable!! Will never stay at a Best Western or use Expedia ever again.

The building is old (a bit of wear on the walls and furniture) but the rooms are spotless, the beds are all new, and all of the amenities work (especially the AC which you have full control over). The staff are wonderful and were able to help me with every question I brought them. The area it is in is very safe as its fairly secluded. It is well located so you can drive to most everything you need within 15 minutes. If you forget anything or get hungry they have a mini store filled with snacks and treats. If I'm ever in the area I would stay here again!

Very dirty. Clumps of dirt in lobby & hallways. Room smelled like Lysol.

There was hair left in the shower, the hotel common areas were not vacuumed, nor were the stairwells and some of the hallways. I told the rep at the front desk that there was hair in the restroom. Did not mention the common areas that need to be cleaned, and the parking lot could be cleaned up as well to help improve the look of the property. The hotel failed to list the pool was closed for repairs as I would have like to have known this ahead of time since I brought a suit and was looking forward to a swim. The check-in rep was great, and when I called the front desk as to how to operate the tv, she actually came up to the room and showed me how to operate it. She was really, really good - friendly, welcoming, and professional.

Dated place in need of an upgrade. Not too clean, but pleasant staff and only needed to sleep one night. Expected a little better.

Room was nice and breakfast was very good. Only issue is that local NBC, CBS and ABC channels were not working on the TV so that was a disappointment

King room is massive! Very high ceilings. Room did always seem poorly lit because the only lights other than table lamps are the ones above the jacuzzi tub. Not a big deal though

The property offered a peaceful and private setting, nicely tucked away from busy highways and streets. However, the furnishings were quite dated, and the mattress was unfortunately extremely uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep for 3 nights straight.

Elm bugs in the room, the room was hot and ac did not cool it, the bathroom was dark hard to get ready.

Stayed for 2 nights and it met my needs, but for the price, I was surprised that there were patches and scuff marks all over the walls of the room, the hairdryer in the bathroom did not work, the lighting in the bathroom was very dim, the WiFi was spotty, and it just seemed to be in a very odd location that felt unsafe. There was a sign at check-in stating the pool was temporarily closed, but I don't remember seeing anything noted about it online; it didn't phase me as I had no plans to use it, but important to note for anyone who did book the hotel with plans to utilize that amenity.

beautiful room but the window leaked when it rained an the carpet around the window was soaked. my only pair of dress socks got soaked. the pool and hot tub were closed.

The bed left much to be desired. Surely re the comfort factor … if a contest between an ironing board and the bed … the ironing board wins.

It obviously has some age on it, but they are making renovations. Any work that I noticed appeared to be well done, which is often not the case these days. But the big difference for me is the staff - they are super warm, super accommodating and actually seem to understand what the hospitality industry is supposed to be (and used to be) like. I observed multiple interactions between themselves and with guests and it is obvious that they are not just collecting a paycheck or going through the motions.

visiting for a funeral. First day smelled of marijuana in the hallway, did not have the best experience with service with evening staff. Checked out a day early and was charged for the entire stay.

We arrived in the evening and the desk clerk took 5 minutes to even acknowledge us ( there was nobody else around). She was just watching her computer screen and ignoring us. Again, there were no other guests and her attitude was off putting. The facility itself is fine, but our room smelled like a smoking room that had massive amounts Air freshener left to try to conceal it. We would have asked to change rooms but after the check-in experience, my daughter suggested we'd just have more heartburn from the desk clerk. The morning staff were much friendlier in general. Our only other complaint is that housekeeping started banging on doors at 830. We flew in from the west coast for a lax tournament and my daughter wanted to sleep in. Wasn't meant to be.

I was very tired and thankful that i booked a room in advance. Went to sleep at 12:30 and was awaken at 2:30 in the morning by someone outside yelling. Could not get back to sleep was up all night.went to the front desk to complain, the fella at the desk had headphones on did not hear the commotion outside the lobby.he wanted to give me a different room but they was none available.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Got a call after my stay that I left a belonging in the room — really appreciated it — I didn’t even realize I left it. Also, staff at breakfast went out if their way to be helpful.

This property is well maintained clean and would definitely come back 10x’s more. Perfect area and quiet.

I really didn't like anything. The location was very dark and there were no signs or light on the road coming in, to be honest as a woman driving alone late at night it was creepy. There was a dog in the room next to me barking loudly, the airconditioning unit was extremely loud when it kicked on, basically every 45-60 minutes all night. The shower had 2 bottles of conditioner and no shampoo. Breakfast the eggs were cold and old and the hot water for tea was initially lukewarm and never replaced when it ran out. When I complained about the above to the front desk they basically shrugged and said well you paid Expedia so there is nothing we can do. NEVER AGAIN!

Quiet and close to my business appointment

Very dreary decor breakfast was unappealing nothing worked and had a hard time finding it because of the overgrowth surrounding it.

The property was not what we expected based off photos. The property was in a very remote area, several people outside looking through cigarette bins & gravel for cigarettes. The pool was closed , which was the main reason we booked this room & nothing was mentioned prior to booking. Very disappointed.

Although clean the outside lights were not on and we arrived around 5pm. I could almost not see the building and it is tucked away! Other than that it was fine

Everything was clean and comfortable. The place is a little hidden, but i felt very safe. Free parking and a great breakfast!

On the positive side the room was nice, clean and spacious and the staff was very helpful. On the negative side the hotel was very difficult to find. I wasted more than an hour searching and needed two stops at the Highway patrol office to finally get written directions to find it. The breakfasts were very mediocre. It also appears that I paid Expedia $130 more for 4 nights than the hotel bill, which they would not refund.

I liked the parking lot was paved. ! I liked my room. It was very clean and quiet.. I liked the front desk people -very hospitable I’d like the breakfast selection and it was hot and healthy. Please invest in new dining room chairs with better decor

Everyone was friendly and it was very clean. The breakfast was amazing!

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning and were greeted by a friendly lady who got us checked in and on our way to sleep pretty quickly. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and we slept well. Breakfast the following morning was good, the space was tidy and the food tasty. Note to management: I love how clean the public space is especially the lobby but perhaps the vacuuming and mopping could wait until breakfast is over as that space adjoins the lobby.

The Facility did not smell clean The pool was out of service The Hot Tub was closed They did not have enough luggage carts to accommodate their guests The Breakfast was cold And I was not able to get a definitive answer on when my deposit would be returned I will Not stay there again However, “The Staff was good!” 👍👍 👍

It wasn’t terrible. Everything appeared to be clean. The mattress we had was lumpy and felt like it was 10 years old. Our room seemed to have an issue with humidity as all our clothes became damp after 2 nights. Breakfast was average and everything was disposable, but all the cups were wrapped in plastic like the ones that go in rooms. So much waste.
