Baymont by Wyndham Grand Haven

The breakfast was advertised as continental but presented as a full breakfast bar with delicious eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes with trimmings and many other items. We were surprised that they actually charged us up front the security deposit saying it would be refunded in 3-10 business days. The hotel was not full and yet they placed people in rooms around us enough that we heard tv until 1am, water running, footsteps, conversation and even someone's cough. That made it hard to sleep even with ear plugs. The pool is nice, hot tub indeed hot, the beds comfortable. The lady who runs the breakfast bar was especially nice as well as the young lady working the desk in the am. The desk clerk at check in at 9pm was grumpy. The artwork, some created by the staff makes it homey.

The hotel was very rundown and the lobby was dirty. The parking look looked like it had not been maintained. Check-in was good. Our room was nothing impressive. The bathroom and bedding were clean, but the floor had not been vacuumed. At 5:50 AM the next morning there was a dog in the next room barking for over an hour. Hotel Staff did try to contact the owner, but we’re unable to. We asked for a refund for our second night.

Nice one-night stay here. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options and was excellent. Pool and hot tub were nice. We especially liked the lobby, which had a drink station and books and games for kids.

The pool and hot tub were great, the breakfast offerings were exceptional, the room was very comfortable!
