The soap dispenser was empty- had to ask for refill. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfy. Pillows seemed to be down feathers …. Paying $30 a DAY PLUS TAX to park is BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!! It’s not like downtown where space is premium! And you need your room key to get in and out of parking lot so don’t leave your keys in room and just leave.

We really liked the staff and the property but were very disappointed that they charged $30 for parking…in a lot that was less than 10% used in the dead of winter…in a suburban location. Seemed very much like a hidden fee.

Cobwebs in the upper corners of the windows near the elevators ! One elevator was out of service from Saturday to Wednesday ! They should have an Otis Elevator vendor on call for problems like this. Took 10-15 mins to get an elevator! Elevators were always full so had to odd by ! Weddings were taking place all weekend ! This should have been a priority !

Parking amount of $30 per day for overnight guests. This was a surprise and for properties in downtown areas where parking is a premium would make sense. In this case it’s in poor taste to not readily disclose the amount as part of any reservation. Paying a premium for a unique experience is fine, but the expectation is that at a high level you don’t undermine trust in the transaction.

A relatively modern convention center venue. Hardly posh, but certainly meets most needs. A cooperative and convenient site for weddings. Easy freeway access and some basic shopping nearby. Some rooms with a charming lake view. Staff helpful, but apparently no valet for luggage or parking, Nyet swimming pool. Lobby area with adequate seating and tables/workstation surfaces, coffee/tea/ H2O infusion. Open-style minimalist lobby bar with several large screen TV's. Rooms slightly smallish, but comfortable; ridiculously small closet, essentially filled by a half-dozed items. Area very secure. Five minute drive to Depot Town area. Bride and Groom were pleased by lake overlook for pic's--

We arrived at the hotel after a long trip, past midnight, and unfortunately found insects in the room. This made it very difficult for us to rest. The hotel staff were kind enough to grant us a late check-out, which we truly appreciated, but as we were unable to feel comfortable waiting, we decided to leave earlier than planned. I kindly ask that you share this feedback with the hotel management internally. My intention is not to cause any harm to the hotel’s reputation, but simply to highlight the issue so it can be addressed. A video is available if required. Overall a nice place to stay ….. housekeeping could be better in the general areas …. Lobby near the elevators had food scraps on the floor and the windows overlooking the lake have cobwebs in the corners …. Maybe they are getting ready for Halloween. ( LOL ) …. One of the two elevators was broken so a long wait when everyone is leaving and needs to get to the lobby !

four big ants in the bathroom scared the kids. one of bed sheet didn't look clean or changed from last guest. twice happened to my wife that her meals either forgot put in or delayed when rest of orders served. elevator needed service. room phone didn't work. Toilet wasn't working properly.

We like this property and have stayed a few times. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. This time though we were disappointed in housekeeping. We asked for daily service and returned to our room with no toilet paper, tissues and coffee area not refilled. It was not great service to have to call down for that. Also surprised no water bottles for the coffee

Probably, the worst Marriott property that I've stayed at in over 30 years of traveling. Heating/AC not well controlled-wall thermostat had no effect. Shower floor very slippery and a metal bar in the corner of shower which you could with your head if you fell (see photo). Hot water scalding at times, other time just warm (probably depended on usage in hotel). Closet was a joke just about 12" wide (see photo)

First night I was assigned to a room in which the air condition made this ticking noise all day long which refrained me from getting a good night sleep. Another thing was that the window in the room suppose to come with two shades, one opaque one translucent, but this one only comes with the translucent layer. The brightness in the morning also made the stay really unpleasant. Then the next day I was moved to another room in the 8th floor per my request, this time the air condition was operating normal, but the room was located adjacent to the elevator, so I was getting noise from moving elevator shaft and chiming sound, which also lasted all day long, not to mention the loud laughing and yelling from the guests coming out of the elevator.

The room was very clean, the view beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The staff was very nice. The toilet handle was broken however and the heater didn't heat properly. It smelled like burning dust when it came on and would blow cold air once it reached it's desired temperature. A shock to the system because it was 40 degrees outside and it's not very comfortable when your heating unit decides to blow cold air. Despite the heat function being selected in the wall. The knobs were also broken on the unit. The heater / AC units DEFINITELY need replacing. It's time.

This is a great place to stay, and I have been here twice since August. Both times there was a lot of activity with weddings, and I enjoy the bustle. The service is good and friendly! The rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms. My only complaint is that the walls seem quite thin, and it is a bit noisy. You can really hear the people in the rooms next to you, as well as those leaving and entering their rooms.

Kyle checked me in and he was so kind and inviting to the resort. Instead of going back to Ann Arbor to have dinner with my daughter, I brought her back tot he hotel to have dinner and drinks there because of the service. Dinner was amazing and our waitress so great as well.

The hotel is very clean, room is bright, parking is plenty, staffs are friendly, allowed early check-in if requested ahead of time, beautiful surroundings, great breakfast buffet (omelette station, ramen bar etc) with reasonable price, quiet except if your room has the door connecting to adjacent room that can be quite noisy as you can hear your neighbors through the connecting door very clearly.

Worst experience at a hotels.com associated property. Waited to check in for 5 hours. Check in was stated to be 3pm - then waited until 8pm as no rooms were available per hotel staff. After requesting an act of goodwill or compensation, was given a $25 gift card that wasn’t flexible or actually useable during our one night stay. It seems according to hotel staff this occurs occasionally when opposing UofM college football teams stay and the game is scheduled in the evening. We will not be staying here again.

Great property. Staff was very friendly and professional. I love the support they gave to the University of Michigan graduates… balloons, champagne, popcorn. We felt the celebration and excitement as soon as we arrived. The bartender was great, he put the Kings/Warriors game on for us, brought us appetizers… great service and food.

The stay was fine. We arrived close to midnight after a decent drive. There were 2 weddings ending and several police officers walking the lobby. I don’t know if this is normal for Friday nights, but it was kind of odd. We were greeted by Tony who was very kind and accommodating. At the desk, there was a nice young woman helping someone ahead of us. She asked Johnny if he could come help the next guest (which was us). Johnny looked at us and then continued doing what he was doing with no attempt to help us out. It was late and we were clearly tired, but Johnny couldn’t be bothered. We’ve been struggling with the Marriott brand and I think this just added to it. It was unnecessarily rude. He chose not to support his team. I felt bad for the woman who was on shift with him.

The property and area were beautiful. Seemed very safe and taken care of. Didn’t love paying $30 for parking as it was a pretty residential area. Parking wasn’t exactly scare so seemed like it could have been included in the rate. But I did know that going in and still booked. My husband complimented my hotel-choosing when we arrived :)

I liked that it was really close to Eastern Michigan University and Depot Town. Close to highway as well! I did not like that you could hear the conversation through the walls in next room, the light coming from under and above the door from hallway at night, the slamming of the doors in the morning and the price of the parking. Parking should be free if you are paying that much to stay there

Honestly the rooms are nice, but i feel like they could use an update just like there were giving the 2nd elevator, of not an updat ethen at least new beds. Also 21 dollars for the Breakfast buffet that is not drastically diffrent from a continental breakfast or the one i get at the hayett is a bit much.

Restaurant service and food quality were poor. Room had poor sound insulation. Climate control in room didnt work. Called front desk twice to be put on hold for exorbitant amounts of time. Never spoke to a person. I would never have expected to have to pay for parking at a hotel in the middle of a field. Paying for parking at a downtown Chicago or Manhattan hotel is understandable, Ypsilanti not so much.
