Hilton St. Louis Frontenac

The hotel staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The fitness facility was very nice, clean and had great updated equipment. The suana was a bonus. The rooms were clean and my sister and I felt safe.

Hotel transportation to and from the airport

Right off the interstate. Free parking. Few restaurants close by. Smaller rooms than typical Hilton property. Decent pool. Seems popular with families as well. In some suburban area so safe and close to some large shopping areas

First and hopefully only stay at this property. VERY dated. First night was in other building w no phone or fridge and outlets that did not work. Rest of stay was in main building. Lobby is nice and smells great. Everything else is super dated. Elevator damaged. Room outdated, damaged bathroom door, faucet that didn’t work and not reported by staff. Really disappointing for a Hilton property. Absolutely worst parking situation ever. Upgrading several lots and garage at same time. Hope to not be back at this property.

Stayed here several times, but this time was the worse. I had no hot water for 2 of the 6 days. When I went to the desk about it, the man said to me that it happens even at the Ritz Carlton! My son's room had no air because he plugged in a cell phone and computer and it tripped the circuit so the air went off. The room phone did not work. Our friends stayed there too and arrived to find sheets with big yellow stains. Last night, my friends and son were all awake from a smoke alarm that went off at 4 am. No one from the front desk came up even after being called twice. On Friday, i went down to the restaurant for a cup of coffee and both big carafes were empty. The girl took one in thw back and never returned. Lastly no ones key on hilton honors app would work to the pool. Just not a good experience for any of us.

This hotel was wonderfully beautiful nestled in a stunning neighborhood that felt safe for my family. Located just a short drive from downtown St. Louis. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Pool was loud due to being directly next to a heavily traveled intersection. Beds were just a touch too firm for us but that’s just personal preference. Once inside your room the world was blocked out. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had a storm roll through when we were there and we had no idea that it had happened. Very sound proof. Parking was free and on site. We will definitely stay here again next time to St. Louis.

I wanted to call out some of the employees for special recognition, but there were too many! From the clerks making reservation changes, to the bar & grill staff, or the breakfast crew-- they were all just great. The hotel is beautiful in every respect. Swimming pool area is awesome. Parking, access, & location was wonderful! Great restaurants & shopping in the area also. This was our 1st stay, but it won't be the last!

Breakfast buffet was great, fitness center was clean and convenient, and the pool was lovely. Our family really enjoyed our stay.

It was nice to have the hotel shuttle for airport transfers and local restaurants.

Staff was very attentive. I liked the text communication and got immediate response when I texted but the hotel was older and not well taken care of. There were drink glasses left in common areas for several days and there were ants in the bathroom.

The rooms are extremely dated and dingy. They have a musty smell. The rooms have very old dirty carpet and furnishings and very little to no lighting.

The Hotel is very clean and smells amazing. I was very surprised that I had to killed a Roach in the bathroom on our second night. The room next to us had the same Food Trays from Room Service outside of their room for over 36 hours. I called the Front Desk and informed them and the Trays weren’t removed until the morning we checked out.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and I appreciated the double sink. The staff was very friendly.

Our only concern was the traces of mold in the shower. Seems like the shower floor tray needs to be refurbished or replaced.

It smelled very bad!

The room did not meet the standards of what I think the Hilton should be. It was not thoroughly cleaned. There were long strands of hair in the tub and the tiled floor did not look clean. Not worth the price.

Not a bad experience but certainly not what I had expected from a Hilton! Our room was tiny!! The bathroom door barely missed the toilet! The room door almost hit the bed. The bed was not uncomfortable but pillows lacked any firmness whatsoever! It was an adequate stay all in all! The front desk explained the room was small due to the historic significance. Shower was nice and hot with pretty good pressure especially for a hotel! I probably wouldn’t stay again based on the value of the price I paid versus what I experienced! I have paid way less and had better accommodations!

I am from STL and my brother had his wedding at the Frontenac Breckenridge, so when I came to visit and stayed at the Frontenac Hilton, I expected it to be a great experience. However, the hotel wasn’t updated at all. We had a windowless room and nothing seemed to have been touched in 30 years. It felt creepy and old, not the classy hotel I remembered. Disappointing because it’s a great location.

The exterior of the hotel looks grand and so does the lobby. This is a huge place with several exterior buildings which possibly has some very nice rooms. However, our room was quite dated with dingy carpeting and decor so boring it verged on depressing. Beige, brown and maroon everything. The heat didn’t work in our first room and the front deck very kindly moved us to a similar one. It had a very small sink and only half a closet so they moved us again. We stayed there for the two nights. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Comfortable enough, just pretty blah.

Beautiful property- I had to work before breakfast so I wasn’t able to partake-it would be nice if they could have a bag breakfast for people who have to leave before the kitchen is open. The shower was lukewarm which was very unfortunate with a blizzard outside. It was very cold and a hot shower would’ve been nice. The bed was very firm so if you like firm mattresses, you will love it. I however, had a backache all night. Very nice and professional staff.

Convenient location, nice staff! It’s an old charming complex with multiple buildings but they need to remodel this old room. They have brand new TV’s great bedding but the rooms need a major freshen up. Old carpet and wall paper, feels like it’s the 80’s again

The property was really nice and clean. The area was great! The inky thing I didn’t like was that the room had no windows for outside viewing--- but would definitely recommend and would stay there again! It was a beautiful property

Room was large. Didn’t feel closed in.

It’s a stylish building a little bit old. Rooms are good with quiet AV, quick hot water, a bit small bathroom. Plenty of parkings.

I assumed with the location that this hotel would live up to high standards. The lobby was nice, but the further back you walked, the more disappointing everything became. The rest of the property was dingy, outdated, had a terrible musty odor and was overall unsettling. Our rooms were in a back building that was covered in construction. The overall feeling throughout the entire property felt like the abandoned set of a soap opera. The service at the restaurant bar was appalling and we left after waiting at the bar for quite awhile and being ignored by the staff who clearly saw us. The pool, however, was lovely and large and felt luxurious - definitely the best part of the hotel. We travel to St. Louis several times a year but definitely will not be returning to this establishment.

Everything was great, but the staff are a collection of angels and miracle workers. Best service I've ever experienced.

Room had trash in trash can and trash under open sink on floor in bathroom. Bartenders need to bartend. Not wait on 10 tops. Poor slow service

Overall not impressed. Choose my room and waited for digital key that never came, concierge was very friendly however she changed my room without confirming it with me. I paid for a king deluxe and I definitely didn't get that. The room overall apprearance wise was fair, very old part of the building, until you got close to the bathroom that reeked of sewage or a smell I could describe as strong as a perm solution.The bathtub surround looked like it had black mold that was just painted over, some fixtures were rusted. Worst was sitting in the toilet and being able to rest your leg against the bathtub, it was very tight. No microwave but there was a fridge. When I attempted to chat in the app and i got no response to if/ when breakfast would be served.

The outside of the property was breathtaking. I arrived early, so my room wasn't ready yet. The front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming. I went to the restaurant for lunch where I was greeted by some of the friendliest staff I've ever met. She was very welcoming. The food was decently priced and delicious. Once I was able to check into my room, I discovered that I had to walk through a very large section of the hotel that was under construction in order to get to my room. It was very dirty and smelled bad, but it was manageable. I came back to my room later that night and it smelled like something was burning. I called the front desk who switched me to another room. Upon arriving at the room, I noticed a room service tray outside the door, I could hear voices inside, and when I went to open the door it opened just enough to hit the metal flap lock they had fortunately put in place. So, I didn't completely walk in on anyone. I went back to the front desk where they apologized and comped buffet breakfasts for me and the four others I was traveling with. The new room was decent. The shower took a good five minutes to warm up and then it got scalding hot. I turned it down as low as I could without turning it off and it was barely tolerable. The shower pressure was great, though! Check out was easy, staff was friendly, food was good.

I have an issue with this not being handicap friendly. We were out in a building far from a microwave and lobby. Some things in our room like the chair was not clean nor behind the couch was clean. The bar in the refrigerator was broken as well as the kitchen sink was kind of clogging. The young lady at the front desk when I checked in was not so nice. I asked about an upgrade and she told me it cost more. I asked her how much she said those are just more. She would never give me the amount. So I walked away and came back later and talked to someone else. She told me I could get a free upgrade because I am a gold member but they were sold out.

Good price in a nice area of St. Louis that’s convenient to any part of the area.

This property on Lindbergh has Plaza Frontenac across the street, easy drives to STL, Forest Park, etc. I always stay here when I'm in Saint Louis

The property is much larger than I thought it would be, but very easy to navigate. Room and hallways were clean in the North Villa (where we stayed) and the hotel is near lots of food and shopping options and just a quick 15-20 minute drive to downtown St. Louis.

Great location. Easy access to downtown as well as west county. It’s an older hotel but they have done a good job maintaining its appearance. Has a very elegant feel walking into lobby.

Very large property (several buildings). Overall very nice property. Exceptions: hot water was come-and-go in the shower; breakfast service seemed under-staffed -- very slow service

Check in was great, quick and explained just about everything at that time. Spent 3 nights, said houskeeping will be there everyday, which they were. I asked front desk prior to housekeepings 1st visit if I can get extra creamer for the morning. They said they would let housekeeping know. Never recieved extra creamer, lids for coffee cups or 2 bottles of water as was told by concierge when checking in. Providence food was really good our first night there, second night we ordered room service and one dinner had no fries as ordered and the french dip beef was WAY OVERCOOKED, not a pleasant sandwich. It was more than 20 hrs before anyone picked up tray left in hall. They said theres a TV guide on the menu of the TV but no information of what was on any channels. Also, I think if you're staying a few days they could put a small fridge in the room and possibly microwave in the room or somewhere centrally located to use. Friday morning looking for coffee, I asked a waitress and she did get me a cup of coffee. I asked if I could go in the dining room to get cream and sugar, she said "No, its closed but you didn't ask me for any otherwise I would have grabbed it. She never asked if I needed any, I thought she would have directed me somewhere for coffee, before I could ask she walked in the back and brought me luke warm coffee. Epic failure... also the paeking lot should have designated areas for those staying and different areas for those there for the Murder Mystery dinner.

Very nice hotel. Spacious room and bathroom! The room was rather dark in décor/ambiance but other than that I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel restaurant is convenient but I feel pricy for the quality of food you receive. The staff was all very friendly.

This hotel is in need of a major renovation Every aspect of the hotel is old and outdated The buffet brunch was awful. The only nice thing in my room was the bed. The shower was pathetic. Cold water for at least 5 min. Everything was rusty. Carpet in hallways was thread bare. Expensive for the state of the hotel. I’m surprised Hilton wouldn’t have improved it they took it over.

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel and room clean and comfortable with attentive and friendly staff. Restaurant and lounge great! All they need is an in house coffee shop and it would be complete!
