This is not a Ritz Carlton you expect. I would be hard pressed to give it even 4 stars. The hotel is past it's prime in a lot of ways. Lacklustre staff, average food and rooms are just ok.

We stayed club level on our wedding night. The room was beautiful but we were a bit disappointed - we had asked for rose petals to be dressed down in the room and this request was confirmed by the hotel. We however did not receive the rose petals which was disappointing. We did however enjoy our stay. The service was incredible and the food was great.

It was just "meh." The staff was nice. But the amenities were just really underwhelming. There was no pool. The New York City Ritz is the same price, and it offers way more amenities. It even offers champagne while you check in. I stayed at the Drury Plaza in the days following my St. Louis Ritz stay, and it was one-third the cost of the St. Louis Ritz but way better. It had a pool, free breakfast, free DINNER, and each adult received three complimentary alcoholic beverages with dinner a night. It was well worth the cost. Meanwhile, I left the St. Louis Ritz feeling a little disappointed.

We went on Memorial Day weekend which may have been why but there were so many weddings! (7) The car park was situated so that unless you walked outside and hiked the perimeter of the property you had to navigate through wedding guests to get to your car.
