Baymont by Wyndham West Plains

The hotel was pretty clean. We stayed in a pet room with our dog and appreciated the laminate flooring and the $15/night to stay vs. $75 at the other local dog-friendly hotel. The motel had wear and tear. The shower rod was hung incorrectly so it wouldn't close at all - it just covered a 3' area in the middle so the floor stayed wet. The pool and hot tub were shut down. The door closest to our room had a malfunctioning keypad so it kept getting propped open (including a bird getting caught inside). Breakfast was very minimal. Internet was non-existtant. The TV guide didn't show the show names and it was not a smart TV. All in all probably fine if you just need a place to stay for the night (especially if you have a pet), we wanted to have a place for the kids to decompress while visiting family and it didn't check that box between the pool, internet, and inability to easily find something to watch.

Our room was fine - on 1st floor. - BUT no hotel should be built without an operational elevator.

Everything was amazing ecept the pool has been closed now for 3 years. They dont tell you till you get there that its closed.

Property has a lot of deferred maintenance, no elevator, pool and hot tub were closed. Front desk attendant put breakfast out and once it was gone, it was gone. Both mornings the coffee was empty, first morning we went down 45 minutes before breakfast closed and there were scraps left. No attempt or intention of refilling anything. We checked in around 8:30 p.m. and all of the lights in the parking lot and all exterior lights were off. Almost hit two people walking because it was pitch dark. Lights were later turned on around 10 p.m. Very dangerous situation. Dark parking lots are breeding grounds for crime! Will not stay there again.

The front desk staff and house keepers were amazing and very nice. But nowhere on line does it mention that the pool and hot tub are both out of order until who knows and have been for over a year.. Not cool when you have children it's part of the reason for choosing a place to stay.

The lobby AC was out. Hotter than heck in lobby, breakfast area. Breakfast was pretty good. Room was clean but the vent fan in bath didnt work, very humid. Some door kept opening/closing which made our room door rattle several time throughout night.

The hotel service and staff were great. Only issue is that the pool heater wasn't working making it too cold for swimming. Fortunately the hot tub was fine and fairly large. Breakfast was well stocked and lots of seating.

Staff was nice, they were doing remodel which wasn’t listed on booking site. It smelled like paint so bad, and loud starting at 7am-7pm. Ask website said pool and hot tub was open. It was closed! Also, they had no elevator so carrying 5 bags of luggage upstairs was very disappointing.

So I thought I would give the review so others know what to expect. Some staff were very accommodating others not so much. The floor in the room was sticky as was the desk. The toilet bowl did not look clean and stained as well. The shower was nice but the tub filled up when you took a shower. We stayed from Monday to Saturday and the room was only cleaned in Friday. So we only got fresh towels when we went to ask for them. The breakfast place as very nice. Coffee with creamer available. Two types of juice. Scrambled eggs ( probably the kind that comes in a jug) they were well seasoned and tasted nice. Sausage patties. Biscuits and gravy, these things were available on a daily. They also had waffles to make and 4 types of cereal. Apples and bananas were sometimes available. There was also yogurt and muffins in the fridge. Toast and bagels were also available as were the toppings such as butter, Nutella and peanut butter. The pool was available but looked like it had not been cleaned in a week,bugs and debris floating around. Exercise room was clean and quiet and had a restroom of its own and a water fountain. The staff recommended nothing to do in the area which is fine they had a section by their vending machines with coupons and ideas of things to do,brochures and such. HBO was nice to have.

The bed was clean and comfortable. There was a cockroach in the bathroom when we turned on the light in the morning. The upholstery on the accent chair was filthy. We skipped the breakfast to get out of there faster.

Bathroom had a used bandage in it on the top of the shower there was hair in the tub when we first check in paint was falling off the ceiling the ceiling also looked like it had mold in it the floors in the room were sticky like it had not been mopped and there was old trash by the beds when we arrived

Bed kinda hard . Floors kinda dirty ( need a good mopping) there was a super dirty chair in the room .

First room smelled like smoke and had a cigarette in the drawer we transferred to a different room it was musty but not smoky

Bedding and towels actually smelled clean. Very comfortable beds and breakfast was great especially for my Mom; she loves a hearty breakfast

The covers were dirty and had stains on them. The soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. (Ifound that out after i was in the shower) On the second night i found some previous guests dirty clothes under the desk. Unless they upgrade their housekeeping i would suggest staying somewhere else. I expected more from a baymont.

Cockroaches crawling everywhere on the walls, tables, fridge & microwave. We ended up leaving a day early.

Bed was comfortable

Room was outdated for price. Tub/shower was gross with pealing finish coating. Freshly painted but sloppily done. Was nothing better than $70/night motel room.

Overall it was a decent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were limited and not great. Hallways were extremely cold which made the bathrooms in the rooms very cold even with the heat on in the rooms. Room was decent, small but did the job. The dish network they use for tv was garbage as well as their free WiFi, ended up having to use the hotspot on our phones to get any good internet because after the first day the internet didn’t really work anymore. Their pool was not open which was a bummer but their hot tub was.

This hotel is dated and dirty. No exhaust in the bathroom. Refrigerator in room so loud it had to be unplugged so we could sleep. Bed was comfortable but the room gave me the ick.

The fitted sheet kept coming undone, there was no remote in the room when I got there, and the internet would not connect

You get what you pay for. Sticky floor. Faucet in bathroom hard to turn on. Dogs barking at night (pet-friendly hotel). Breakfast area not very desirable. But beds were OK and sheets were clean. Probably would pay a little more for somewhere else next time we pass through.

The bed was fantastic! Very comfortable! Room was clean. Customer service was excellent.

When we first got there to check in they told us that they do not have any "Suites" available as I had booked a suite so we had the extra "livingroom" area as we had a bunch of family staying at the hotel also. Which fine, it is what it is, we got a 2 bed room which was pretty small and not a whole lot of room. There is also no elevator in the building, Ice machine on 2nd floor was broke, pool was freezing cold, and was very muggy and hot in the main areas of the hotel.

The hotel is great and the people are too. It’s the Internet that sucks. I had to find other accommodations because I needed reliable Internet to work on my computer.

The check-in clerk was extremely nice. When he asked about where we could get dinner (it was passed regular dinner hours) he made great recommendations.

Room, location and safety were very good. Individual at the desk had ZERO personality and left us feeling that we were a burden. She was either on her phone or outside smoking. When she was asked for more eggs…she rolled her eyes and continued to visit and finally got around to fixing them. Another guest remarked that she had done the same the morning before. Nice hotel with a poor vibe.

Staff always friendly and helpful from the moment. We check in until the moment we check out.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They also were very welcoming to dogs, which is very hard to find in a hotel. We stayed with four children and our dog. The hotel was very clean the pool was very nice! We will defiantly stay here again!

The property was easy to find . We arrived at 1:30pm just to check out things and make sure were everything was. The red headed staff member at the front desk was rude thinking we wanted to check in early. She appeared very unkept not what I expect from a staff member at the front desk. The lobby bathroom was not clean . When we returned at 3pm to check in the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful he deserved a raise he was outstanding. The room was itself was clean the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was temperamental in room 209. The bathroom I will say needed work although clean it needs repaired. The metal tissue cover was hanging off and rusted, the toilet paper holder was rusted, under the sink nozzle was rusted, the tub/shower needs a good scrub with some CLR and comet to remove the grim.

The lady at the front desk was very courteous, professional and helpful.

Cody is amazing as always! And Katie is absolutely a gem. We will always stay here when in town.

The hotel was very nice. Especially appreciated the man who handled check in. It was a little hard to find the hotel as the city’s street signs are not very good.

Everything was quiet, clean and well kept. The check in clerk was very professional but not pleasant.

Convenient and clean

Liked that the location was a safe & quiet area.

Everything was convenient! All the shops and stores were just around the corner along with gas stations and etc. We loved the location and since we were just off the main roads but easily accessible, it was quiet! The rooms were great, staff would bend over backwards to help, breakfast was full (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, good coffee, juice, milk, cereal etc...) The only negative was their WiFi was a little weak at times and we would have to reconnect. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay!

The gentleman in reception was very helpful. Our room was a nice and clean and a good size. The bathroom was very modern and had handrails which I liked. Breakfast was good. Although, I only had cereal and one slice of toast. My husband enjoyed his cooked breakfast. Parking was easy and convenient.

Rooms are ery nice, good location for shopping and events. Staff friendly and breakfast options are excellent

Beds were very comfortable. Found baby roaches (dead) inside the mini fridge and live baby roaches in the bathroom sink. At breakfast all hot food was was gone at 9am, had hard biscuits and a few cold scrambled eggs. No waffle batter left either. Very disappointing. Pool looked dirty. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

breakfast was filled all the food

Did not have enough electrical outlets for charging phones. So had to unplug lamp to use coffee maker, or unplug refrigerator to use microwave, or unplug clock/radio to charge phone. For two days in a row did not have trash emptied, clean towels provided, or bed made. They ran out of a variety of breakfast food and hot coffee. Had to wait 20 minutes to get coffee made. Was told it was under new management and that they were working to update property and services. In meantime, new owner/manager was understaffed and overworked, apparently.

The fresh baked Chocolate Chip Cookies were very nice. Breakfast was pretty plain.

Excellent Breakfast!! Staff was very polite and helpful! Will definitely stay again if in the area.
