Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh-Durham Airport

Have stayed here several times. Location is great and the price is right. Hotel is a little run down but the rooms are comfortable. There was only one elevator that was working and it was very slow.

The property was generally clean, pleasant, and about 5 minutes from RDU airport. Good for a stay when you need to be near the airport especially for an early morning flight. Our first room had an AC unit that squealed horribly. Maintenance was unable to resolve so we moved to a different room. The gym is small and had a strong musty/mildewy smell. It was bad enough I elected not to do my usual workout routine. The breakfast was the real disappointment, especially since it was $15 per person. Eggs were overcooked, tasteless and rubbery. The breakfast sausages were truly inedible. Oatmeal is usually a safe last option, but the cook forgot to make it. The only two bright spots were the fresh melon and the bagels. Certainly not worth the price.

We stayed a night during Galaxycon. The place was fully booked so parking wasn't the easiest, but that is to be expected with a huge convention in town. Check in was a breeze and our room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a great Property. 10.00 a day to park. Shuttle to air port.

Depsite the crowd the parking was still suprisingly always easy. Literally right next to the aiport with a 4am-midnight shuttle. Perfect.

There was no shuttle to or from the hotel. Cost us $40 round trip for a taxi.

The property is in poor condition. Don't know where to start... thermostat didn't work. Remote didn't work. Shower spray couldn't be adjusted. Stayed two nights and my room wasn't cleaned!! I pay for a clean room right??? Got stuck in the elevator.. went to first floor and door didn't open, back to 5th floor more people got on and back to first floor and door didn't open, loud sounds from elevator. 3rd time finally opened. Trash and food on elevator floor that was there the whole time. There was apparently a family party and they decided to set up a large grill in the parking lot taking up 4 parking spaces and went late night . Kids running everywhere and screaming. Hotel did nothing.

The pool has been down for several days which is extremely disappointing, as this is why I went with this hotel bc of the indoor pool. Friendly staff, clean and close to RDU airport.

Pool closed even though I called to verify this morning before we arrived. No way to plug the bathtub to fill it, fridge isn’t cold, telephone doesn’t work to call the front desk.

If only the hotel was as nice as the lobby. That is all that is updated. Room smelled awful, dirty bathtub and two bags of garbage were in the hallway the entirety of my stay. Also they have a park and fly. Literally NO PARKING was available for the guests, nor did they care

Everything was so clean! Nice to have a cafe and bar open for late arrivals Nice to have shuttle to airport Nice breakfast buffet Very pleasant stay and did not hear any airport noise.

Smelly hallways, dingy beat up furniture in room, trash left in hallways for hours. AC loud. Staff was great - but they work in a dump.

It was definitely dirty. There were multiple trash bags lined up in the hallways until late at night. The bed spread was worn in many places, as was the furniture. It was disappointing for a Hilton.

It’s in a great location, pretty close to most things. I knew the property was dated, and I don’t really have a huge issue with dated for this purpose what I didn’t expect was the fact that the room was so obviously dirty!!!! I mean years of dust piled on the office chair, I didn’t even want to touch it. I mean not wear and tear DIST untouched! The chair had several large stains! It’s like they never wiped anything down! The shower was actually clean, that’s it. We made it through one night, decided to check out early the next evening after our event, I was just uncomfortable. The bed was also super uncomfortable. I was very disappointed, especially as a Hilton property. The lobby and rest of the amenities looked fine

Front Desk and Restaurant Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our room had not been thoroughly cleaned - cigarette and ashes were on the window sill and the window was open - prior guest obviously smoked in the room. Room also is showing its wear. Ceiling areas in the restaurant need attention - some painting vent areas and ceiling tiles need to be changed (water damaged).

Sheets on one of two beds smelled like they had been slept in, so called front desk and they sent new sheets to the door. Entry of hotel was nice, newly updated but the room we were in was very out dated and not well kept.

Cleanliness was exceptional, staff was very courteous, and peaceful stay.

This hotel was beautiful upon check in for an overnight stay for an early flight out. We were given a room next to the elevator which was very noisy, i asked for another blanket and was given a bed cover, and the kicker was how the bathroom vent was caked with dust and missing a light cover. I'm suprised this Hilton was dissapointing. Hilton is my go to hotel but the standards here are only visible in the lobby.

The second floor smelled badly as soon as you walked out of the elevator. Dirty dishes in front of my room when I checked it. Looked like the room hadn't been serviced efficiently. Dirty cloth on the sink, and wrinkled pillows on one of the beds - it had clearly been slept in recently. The other bed looked great so I slept there. Also the keys weren't working so I had to go to the desk way too many times. Would not stay again.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! I chose this hotel because of the proximity to the airport with my early morning flights. I ended up in 3 different rooms due to the lack of cleanliness. The tub in the first room filled up in a little over a minute and the water didn’t subside for over 16 hours. I wasn’t able to shower. Maintenance did not fix it. There were also cobwebs and an active spider above the bed. Room 2 wasn’t clean either. Badly stained furniture, filthy keurig and rusted, dirty refrigerator (both of which are a part of what the hotel prides itself on providing by the way) and more cobwebs. Room 3 was the “cleanest” (and I use this term lightly), but the smell coming from the bathroom was terrible. I wore a mask the entire time. It’s obvious this hotel has had water damage. There are water stains on the ceilings and inside the picture frames hung in the bathrooms. Should someone intentionally brave these conditions, floors 5 and 6 are supposed yo be the best floors (I was on floor 6) also be prepared for the sour milk smell in the elevators because the carpet smells really bad (even if you’re wearing a mask) Needless to say, I requested a refund.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, very quiet.

Definitely needs an upgrade, was loud when other guest were in halls and opening and closing their doors. Other than that staff was super and the rooms were clean. For a last minute stay this property was a great choice.

Close to airport which was convenient for an early morning flight. Hotel room and hallway seemed a bit outdated and I would not want to stay at this hotel long term.

Overall, good room. Quiet and clean. AC unit in room made a loud noise; had to turn it off for sleeping. Refrigerator's freezer box was totally iced over (2-3 inches of frosty ice), and was unusable.

Hotel is on the older side. My room was out dated in style and furnishing. Bathroom missing towel hook. Entry door to my room looked banged up. Okay for the price.

The only thing that suck was the WiFi… and they want you to pay for the WiFi as an add on. SMH Ridiculous

Parking lot was full. Parked around the curved part the first night, second night I had to pull into “the overflow” parking lot where a man who was living in his car was staying, this made me feel insecure about my vehicle and prompted me to check on it throughout the night. Everything ended up fine as far as the vehicle was concerned but the walk was horrible after walking all day. There was hair in the tub. The “free wifi” was limited to around 500kbps which doesn’t allow much of anything. Since most of my work is online, I didn’t get anything done this weekend. Don’t bother trying to stream movies. However, they do have a decent HBO package included. The hotel is outdated and has wood pieces thrown together and painted over to make you believe it’s up to Hilton’s standards. If you’re afraid of elevators, both of them creek and stumble before moving. It takes about 5-10 seconds after the door closes for the elevator to move. You might want to take the stairs. The toilet paper is about 3-4 feet away from the toilet making it very difficult to remain seated while retrieving toilet paper. I didn’t get a chance to check out any amenities this trip. I have stayed here in the past and utilized the indoor pool. I also booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com / Expedia) and was made aware that digital key was not available even though I was a Hilton honors member.

The staff was absolutely amazing. I was there this weekend for a concert and I got stuck in traffic and could not check in exactly at 3 o’clock so I called in a panic and they said no worries. A lot of people were calling and worried about that. They told me they would put a note in my reservation to let them know that I would be late and when I got there, they absolutely made sure I was well taken care of.

Upon arrive the staff was very unhelpful and uninformative. As well as upon our return we could not get anyone to answer the phone to pick us up on the shuttle from the airport

Our first set of room keys did not work. We tried several times. Went back down to the front desk and the person there was not professional. He looked at me like I was an idiot when I told him they didn't work. Then

The front desk clerk at check in was awesome! His name was Carl and the hotel was simple and beautiful!

Got charged 3/16 for “Incidentals” and just got charged on 3/18 at 4 am again. Called up there now and first then I was told was “I was not checked out” then was told “I wasn’t the only one card charged tonight” all I asked was why am I being charged that again two days after check in? Was also told “one will fall off” no both need to come off . Was very rude to me a confused customer who has worked in the hotel industry and would NEVER speak to a guest that way no matter how frustrating.. very sketchy. Also at check in my ID and Debit card was scanned on paper and left on front desk. I will never visit here again and I will be calling corporate first thing.

The staff was excellent. Quick and professional.

We finally arrived at 3:00am, after driving a long 10 hours. My room that was already booked and paid for was cancelled by Roberto, an overnight front desk representative. After explaining to him that we drove 10 hours and very exhausted and would like a room, he told me there was nothing he can do because it’s company policy that they cancel after 2:00am. I never received a cancellation email nor a call from the front desk. I asked him for the policy in which it states that and then he responded with, “oh there is no policy.” He refused to help us and told me to take it up with his manager at 7:00am. We finally got it resolved and got a room after nearly an hour. Poor service and professional by this guy. Been there before after 3am and had no problems. He can go back and continue playing his Nintendo Switch games with his friends while he’s working. Also the 4th floor smelt like gas. Never coming back here again.

Took way too long to check in. Only 1 person checking people in and was about 6 people back in the line. Took 30 min ro check in. Inexcusable.

Very convenient to/from RDU Airport and to Raleigh and Durham.

This was a very nice hotel, not much around it, but the airport is very close. There is also a convenience store within walking distance with many foord options.

Literally five minutes to airport at ten miles per hour. I went to downtown in less than thirty and came back to property in 12 minutes.

What I liked about this property was the location. It was close to everything you needed. The airport, food, shopping and entertainment.

Great hotel! Would stay again. Had lovely dinner in the restaurant. Comfortable room. Beautiful bathroom. Shuttle to airport. All in all happy to give it a 5-star!

Bartender not very friendly also would not let us take our wine up to our room in wine glass. Who wants to drink wine from a plastic cup?

Check in was slow, the first set of room keys didn’t work, so had to go back and wait in line again to get new keys. The bar was closed at 11.00 PM which seemed early for a weekend night

Floors filthy in room. Paid for breakfast on hotels.com when booked room for breakfast. When we went and got breakfast(eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries) they were not included and found out after we got the food and ate it. They said the breakfast included is only cereal and yogurt. They have a good racket charging for a breakfast people think is included. Saw a few people after our encounter who had the same problem. Never stayed at a hotel where they charge that way.

Will definitely stay here again when travelling out of RDU. Convenient location and loved the service in the restaurant/bar. Bartender/Server made my daughter's soda fancy and she loved it! Room was spacious and clean.

Paid for the breakfast and a room for 3 and only got 1 breakfast voucher. The person on duty said they received no information that breakfast was paid for when going through hotels.com and when I showed him my receipt he said that it would still only cover 1 person. I don’t mind paying for it if it isn’t offered when booking, but booking a room for 3 and selecting the breakfast up charge you expect you are purchasing breakfast for all 3 in your party.

Front desk staff was so nice! Room was clean and spacious- a little dated, but that doesn’t bother us. We were next to the elevator shaft, and this hotel is so well insulated, we didn’t hear a thing all night! Checkout time is later than most Hilton hotels. Breakfast is not included at this franchise though. We did the buffet- food was good but they ran out of silverware. Overall we were very comfortable and pleased with the visit. We would stay there again!

Property was nice but staff other than manager Fatima was extremely rude and inept especially the dining staff! Although I paid for breakfast with my room my son was accused of running out on check and then charged. I came downstairs and showed itinerary which listed free breakfast and front desk clerk said I needed to wait for manager but I should go have my breakfast before it closed. When I went to order breakfast. I was told I needed to pay first before ordering by dining staff. i showed my receipt that included breakfast but was still treated very rudely by dining staff. By the time the manager came verifying I indeed should’ve been given vouchers for free breakfast. I was so frustrated that I no longer wanted to eat! The manager was very nice, but I should’ve been given the vouchers upon check in or someone should’ve been able to rectify situation before the manager came in!
