Hotel Executive Suites

After many delayed flights we were finally able to find this hotel. Arrived, checked in with lots of luggage, put us on the 4th floor and then informed us the elevator was not working.

Over all it wasn't a terrible experience.However, I will say there is no restaurant or bar as advertised on hotel.com website or as advertised outside on the sign! We had driven quite a ways and no intent of having to leave the restaurant to get food or drinks. The manager told me the restaurant had been closed 3 yrs! Also I had called the hotel earlier that day to see about a late check out. I was told noon was the latest. When we arrived i wanted to make sure this had been noted but eas then told by same manager 11:30 was the latest!!

Clean and comfortable room. Fridge and microwave in the room was handy. The receptionist was slow and inexperienced. She sent the shuttle to the wrong pickup so i waited 45 min for pickup. They had trouble checking me in as well. Only vending machine food available.

The hotel was fine for one night. Room was clean and spacious although the bathroom needs to be updated. Although on the website and a huge sign outside indicated there was an in-house restaurant, the restaurant has been closed for 4 years so don’t go hungry. Not really much within walking distance.

There is no restaurant or bar in this place. It has been closed for three years. We were not able to get an extra blanket for our room were told they don’t have them other than that everything was OK.

ok i got to the hotel and the elevator wants working ,the fix it next day ,but i have to take my luggage to the 5th floor by the stair my self,the tv ,did not work ,there was no cable ,the air condition did not cool , they do not clean to room very well,they do not pick up all the garbage . the beds are very good and the bathrooms very nice ,the front of the hotel is dirty ,maintenance very bad

Pros: allowed early check in (1.5 hrs before 3) without a fee Cons: *parking lot had sections block off with cones because fencing and other things were taking space which became an issue with parking as only the far side spaces were available and even some of those were limited * rooms are tacky, dated, and questionable, the bathroom was gross there were stains on the toilet that weren’t cleaned off, the shower/tub was dingy and worn down, the tv was dusty, and remote felt a bit gross. the doors are noisy, and floors dusty too. the room looks updated but it’s as if the updates were done over the old instead of being properly done. Also the beds weren’t that comfortable and the mattress moves, pillows are pretty limp and flat. * better lighting at night for entrance would be helpful * elevators are terribly slow

Overall the hotel was good. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There were no dining options on site other than a small 'market' for snacks but since we were only there one night, that wasn't a huge deal. The staff were nice and our stay was fine.

Overall this place was a 3/5, it was good for one night but don’t feel like I need to come back. Online it said there was a restaurant/ bar but this was closed when we came.

Everything was excellent. But ,needed to be adjusted on Expedia that there is no shuttle bus service from Newark airport.

At least the guy from the front drsk is nice But the place looks like a very cheap motel than a hotel, Very dirty, smell like dogs , smoke, floor was dirty there was a hole in the wall, the sheets smell. I do not recommen at all. The worse place i ever stay.

Rooms are very clean but smell from reception area is not good.

Both rooms had mold in the bathroom and on curtains by the window it was hair in my tub and sink

Very clean but strong scented odor in common areas gave my husband a headache.

We checked in, went to the room and found the bed was soiled from the bedspread all the way down to the mattress with what looked like body fluids. Hair dryer was not working, bathroom sink was licking, pillows smell like feet.

The hotel looked like a good choice online but reality was not the same. The hotel is in an industrial part of New Jersey with not much nearby. Despite no smoking signs around, hallways and elevator smelled like smoke. Hallway looked a bit dismal and every time we walked down the hall, there was garbage on the ground (crumbs, crumpled papers, etc - like some guests were just dropping whatever).

Cleaning products smell hits you as soon as you walk in the front door. It’s obvious they’re covering up an odor.

The overall stay was good. We booked with this hotel because it was reasonably priced. No major complaints other than I probably wouldn’t book again just because of comfort. We stayed for 2 nights but the beds were horrible. Super hard so unless u like super firm I would stay somewhere else. Beds not suitable for long stays in my opinion. Whole family complained of Back hurting. Everything else was perfectly fine.

The room was clean & the sheets even smelt clean . The King size bed was very comfortable & I like that we had our room @ the end of the hall . 👍

The hotel appears to have had a few selective updates, but there were a few things that definitely need improvement. First and foremost - the door to the hotel room has quite a large gap underneath, which definitely did not make me feel secure. It also meant any noise in the hallway was amplified into the room and there was a LOT of light coming in from the hallway at night. Overall, everything was adequate. I hope the property finishes updating rooms (especially the bathrooms) as you can tell it has potential and was definitely convenient to the highway. Reception area was clean and bright. Be prepared for an additional security deposit on your check in - I was not aware I was going to need to make 2 separate payments on arrival (though the security deposit was released upon checkout)

Friendly staff, plenty of parking, nice lobby. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. But the noise from the turnpike is VERY loud, and interfered with my sleep. Perhaps the rooms on the other side of the hotel are quieter, but mine overlooked the highway and the trucks could be heard all night long.

Bad location!! Too close to interstate and consistent vibrations. Cant control thermostat in room. Frozen solid all night... has weird smell in the hallways and in the room.

Pros: The bed is very comfy. Room was clean and neat. Staff was polite and courteous. Cons: staircase had a chemical smell that was overwhelming only one entrance to facility, other entrances should be available with a keycard wifi was terrible. In the world of work from home, this really should be addressed. I would have extended my stay if the wifi was better I called the front desk for assistance, no answer and they never returned the call

Staff was very attentive and responsive

The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and everything was in perfect order, but the best part was the staff. If you are ever in Carteret, this is the place to stay, can't recommand it enough and would definitely return myself!!!

Front desk didn’t provide the promised room, no proper basic supplies like blankets and I was charged incorrect price for my stay.

Front desk staff on the night of March 28th/29th was the rudest most unhelpful lady ever. Just showing up annoyed her.. she looked pissed and don’t even greet us when we came in. Just pissed that I interrupted her show or whatever she was watching on her phone. Then when my name didn’t match exactly with one of the two room bookings I made, she made us change the reservation information to book us in (even though I did show her other id showing the second name on a government id) .. then checking my drivers licence id a second time.. incase I somehow changed my identity in the 20 minutes standing i front of her, in took to change the second room. Then instead of trying to help us, decided to chat with friends on the phone and watch more tic tocs or whatever. Not one smile or nicety the entire time. Then we got to the room, it smelt like mould, was a sauna, had a leak from the ac unit, blood or something smashed on the wall, broken shower faucet, the ceiling of the bathroom was damaged in multiple spots with holes. The carpet was not vacuumed, the second room had broken shelves, damaged/peeling ceilings, cigarette butts littered outside the window on the balcony. The hallways smelled horribly or smoke. We were terrified of bed bugs and had the worst sleep ever.

As I entered into my room and turned on the tv, of course there was no signal . I called the first desk to inform them of my tv dilemma. I was told someone will arrive to my room to fix the problem. Waited for a while, no one showed up. Finally, I retreated to the receptionist desk and told the staff no one showed to my room. The rep stated someone should be up to your room shortly. Waited once again, finally I just played with the tv and remote and the tv came on. So if you are looking for any technical assistance, don’t hold your breath, no one will come…especially when you have to pay $100 for an incidental fee while checking in.

My favorite place to stay and everything near by to Shop.

Perfect for an overnight passing through town. Clean and all the amenities. A little noisy due to highway right next to hotel but otherwise everything else checked out. No breakfast offered but if you go to Rahway there is an excellent coffee shop "The coffee box"...highly recommend.

Convenient location room was clean n comfortable

Location for this Hotel is in industrial area, no stores close with hotel . My room 220 was second floor over hotel restaurant . We pay ( Extra $$$$$) for one hour early . We needed to go out at 3;pm . Returned to our room after midnight. Immediately we discovered our room was full with smells from restaurant in first floor. Was impossible to sleep.

No breakfast!! They advertised it but none!! And the restaurant was not open, again it was advertised but not open. That,s called false advertisement !!!

Satisfactory for the price. Would have appreciate more of a selection of food, since there was nothing nearby. Cream for the coffee would be great! Comfortable room.

Everything was fine until breakfast. Breakfast is $15.99 per person! No complementary breakfast as publicized. Also there's a $100 deposit at check in. I guess I didn't read the fine print before booking the hotel.

Online the property shows that they have breakfast/dining included, but that isn’t true. The doors on the room do not shut all the way and you will have a hard time getting back into your room because the keys jam, as well as you have to make sure you have a deposit (you get that back) on top of the amount of your stay, which is not noted when you book as well.

Hot water took forever to heat up. No complimentary breakfast even though their book said it was provided.

I get back each time I travel at least twice in year from Montreal Canada. Always clean stuff very friendly....close to jersey Mills shopping mall and Newark airport. 30 min to time square Only this time after COVID. Breakfast not available. I think missing people to work in resto
