Everything was ok other than the pool being used for swimming classes and that wasent informed before booking also the hot tub is out of order and theres mold all around. The towels in the room smelled like vomit

The property itself is fine, but expedias listing has things wrong. There is no pool, no hot tub, and you have to take a shuttle to a bus to get across the bridge to manhattan. Again, the hotel itself is fine. No breakfast, no washing machine as well.

I booked this location because it said it had a pool and come to find out the pool is permanently closed. Then i had to keep calling the front desk to send someone to fix the ac because it kept shutting off so the room was extremely hot.

Updated rooms and very convenient to the George Washington bridge to NYC. Was a quick drive to the west side / Columbia campus. Staff is limited with no assistance with baggage or concierge provided. However, plenty of parking (Even forgot to provide us with the doubletree cookies) Hotel going thru renovation in common areas. Had one minor maintenance issue (warm room) but engineer was quick and fixed issue immediately.

The property’s areas outside our guest room were dirty and old. We had to ask the front desk to redo our room. The charges us extra for checking in early, yet the room carpet among other things was dirty. I don’t think that the janitors knew the hotel had a gym: it was also dirty. The pool was out of service.

I stayed at this hotel twice during a 12-day visit to New Jersey. During my first stay, air conditioner didn't work - it's early August, mind you - staff sent a maintenance man who supposedly fixed the issue and told me not to set the thermostat below 69. I followed his advice. AC went down again and I was forced to change rooms. Checked in for my second stay and had the same issue. Once again I was moved to a different room. AC didn't work in that room either. I wound up checking out three days early and stayed in a different hotel. Also ... No AC, no water and no towels in the health club. I registered a complaint with hotel management after checking out and waiting for a refund.

Stayed 8/2–8/4 and was shocked at the condition of my room. Mold on the shower curtain, rust on light fixtures, yellowed bed linens, gash in the main door, bathroom door falling apart, and holes in the wall above the bed. Even after asking for housekeeping, the room was never cleaned. This hotel is badly in need of repairs and upkeep. For over $500, this was completely unacceptable. They should be ashamed to present rooms like this to guests.

1. Outdoor covered parking area full of construction material and no light. 2. The bathroom and the around bed, not cleaned thoroughly. Saw trash from previous customers. Nasty. The bed sheet smelled. 3. Wifi tricks you into signing up for hilton honor membership 4. The phone in the room does not connect to the front desk. 5. No ice machine on every floor. 6. Charges 25 per person for breakfast which was not in good quality at all. Bestwestern breakfast buffet tast better than this. First time at Doubletree and very disappointed.

The property did not shovel snow on walkway, toilet did not work, hair ball in towel, broken tile, under construction so banging on wall in morning, no blanket, heater so loud had to turn off, front desk clerk rude, shower curtain too short so water everywhere, just awful!!!

Service was good. I stay at the hotel a few times a year. This visit, the bathroom had mold and the room had a humid/musty smell that emanated from the carpet. The tub stopper was also broken. Bed was comfortable. With a bit more attention, this hotel could be much better. The restaurant is very good.

Air conditioner was not working. Told the front desk and they said they would send someone up right away. We left to go into the city upon arriving back our room was still 80 degrees. We went to the front desk and they gave us a new room. However, same issue. So the room never dropped less than 80 degrees! I believe they either shut the air off throughout the building or they need a new system!

The temperature in the room was 80 degrees. The thermostat was set to 70 when we entered the room. I tried to turn the thermostat down and it would not go any lower. Very uncomfortable in the room when we were sleeping.

The dining room tables and chairs were worn. They were not up to the Hilton's standards. In addition, the dining room looked like a Denny's Restaurant. It lacked a positive ambiance. As a result, charging their guests $53 for a breakfast for two is outrageous. The lobby is average looking. Thus, it does not thrill you when you enter the hotel. Conversely, the hotel's rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. And, the bathroom was good.

The property and furniture is old and outdated! You can also hear all the traffic noise from the highway! The beds were extremely uncomfortable! The front desk staff were unfriendly. They were somewhat helpful but they were not friendly ands welcoming!!! I will not start there again. I will pay more and stay at the Hyatt Place which is right beside the Double Tree.

I coudnt sleep because of AC was not working at that moment. Tempurture was above 80, I was sweating. I called front desk and he said somebody will stop by to fix. I waited an hour, nobody came. I called front desk again and he said he will send somebody. I waited another hour, he called my room and said he will change another room. I got another room key, and when open the door, somebody was sleeping, we were sursprised and he yelled at me. I was so mad not only because he gave me an occupied room, but he’s attitude. He said it is not his fault,it is systems fault. Never said sorry.he said it could happened and ed for refund, but he give me refund because manager wasn’t there. He said manager will come 7:30am. I waited 7:30am manager wasn’t there. He said he will come at 9:00am. Therefore, I could’t sleep 9:00am, and hotels.com said I can’t get refund because manager Is not at hotel. This is so ridiculous. The front guy name is Hamilton.

The property was super clean and the staff was very nice. They did have problems with the water, but that wasn’t under their control, so I scratch that off. The restaurant kitchen opens late, which is a bummer. The gift shop, that has snacks and such, seemed to always be closed. Other than that, I would have given it 5 stars.

How I was greeted and the attitude of the clerk with me being early.I arrived at 3:00 PM.He told me that the hotel was overbooked. Essentially he said I could wait until the scheduled check-in time but he couldn't guarantee the room I wanted would still be available. This cost me a $60 early check-in fee since I couldn't take a chance to not be in by the appointed time. The rooom was available at that time anyway. The idea was bad enough but his attitude and his non-answer to my question about whether there would be any room available was abominable. Since this was a hotel group that I don't ordinarily use I found this attitude enough to make me not try them again unless desperate

It’s an excellent property and not the first time we’ve stayed here. The staff was fantastic! Everyone from the front desk at check in to check out and everyone in between! A special shout out to Dean at cafe Milano! Amazing service! The rooms are clean and stocked with some basic amenities. It’s also a reasonable distance to the city!

Property is located next to a busy bridge that is always backed up with traffic. It is not possible to walk to nearby restaurants or stores. Must have a vehicle to be able to go to surrounding areas even if they are close by. Hotel is loder in good condition, during our stay had to reset the air conditioning unit as it would only work for short period of time.

Overall it is a good hotel in terms of facilities and services. The bed is comfortable enough and washroom is clean. The receptionists are nice and helpful. However, the location is along the highway connecting to the busiest bridge. The traffic and the noise are inevitable annoying. There’s no sidewalk or safe space for walking or cycling to back streets. We had to mingle with the cars and trucks. It’s not safe at all.

I would stay here again. It’s very near a range of restaurants. The hotel food is delicious, believe or not. I recommend the mushroom risotto — and I’m not a vegetarian. The fat hamburger I ordered from room service was almost actually medium rare. When finally got the accessible room I requested, it was smooth sailing from then on — except for one glitch: a $300 was temporarily added to my room charge. I used $53 of it for room service. I only got $200 restored. And I had to ask for a receipt, and someone else’s name and address was on it. Beware.

Traveled here for a few nights with my son to see a Yankee game and a wonderful stay. Staff was always helpful, and we enjoyed the dining area to relax and have some good food! Access to the city and Yankee game was a breeze from here! Best stay we’ve had thus far!

The breakfast buffet was excellent and our table server went above and beyond. He made a great strong coffee and perfect hot chocolate at just the right temperature for the kids. Overall, he was arguably the best server I've had in years in a hotel...great personality too!
