Complimentary beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas on beach, indoor and ourdoor pools, well-equipped fitness center. This was our 5th time here, and the first time that we had good (warm and sunny) weather. Our only complaints: 1. Indoor pool needs a renovation to fix rust on the bottom and peeling walls; 2. It looks like the hotel is trying to be eco-friendly by not providing individual bottles of shampoo and conditioner. At the same time, they provide bottled wayer in the rooms. There is a disconnect here. Why not provide a bottle filling station?

Very impressed with the property. I was very unhappy with the required "bar bracelet" for the outside bar. I went to the pool bar and didn\'t need it, and didn\'t really understand why I would have to go through standing in line for another bracelet when I have one as a hotel guest. I felt the plastic bracelets were sub par for a hotel that boasts such luxury. Also, I had called the day before and was put in the system for an early check in. We arrived at 2:30 and our room wasn\'t ready. When we returned to check in at 4, our room wasn\'t ready then either. Marco was very nice, but we had early dinner reservations, and were late because we needed that extra time to get ready. The stay felt rushed and restrictive. The solo artist playing live music outside was amazing!!!

Jacuzzi wasn’t working! My wife has an allergy ocean water and sun the jacuzzi was the only place she supposed to use, I did reservation through the Expedia they never mentioned jacuzzi is out of order

Loved the indoor and outdoor pools, however, they are not heated in the off season. The hotel was beautiful and the staff in the restaurant for breakfast were absolutely outstanding. The room was very comfortable and modern and we wished we could have stayed longer. The area around is great for shops and restaurants and easily walkable along the beautiful boardwalk, with fun carnivals, etc on weekends.

This is our 6th or 7th stay and we always have a great time. First: It is just an hour and a half from the Upper East Side under normal (not rush hour) conditions. Second: It is right on the beach and the beach is very nice. Third: Long Branch is cool. There's the Pier Village you can very easily walk to from the resort and then there are a lot of good places to eat and snack just a short drive away. Pier Village is pricey and the quality is hiit or miss and you can get caught in long waits if you are not strategic. The Turning Point breakfast plave is solid and the only reaaonable eatery in the village. Rooney's is a good seafood place about 5 mins down the boardwalk in the other direction. Oh yeah, Nichola Creamery has killer ice cream and unique fllavors. Fourth: The hotel itself is fine. Elevators were quick. The room is clean and on the spacious side. Hot water is always good and so is the AC. Each room is pleasant and has a balcony with at least some view of the ocean if not spectacular. We brought our dog and got a room towards the back on the 4th floor overlooking the banquet hall roof and the view still managed to be pleasant. Parking was easy and things are fine. There is also pretty good chair & umbrella service on the beach and towel service at pool and ocean is decent---no complaints. Things are a little rough around the edges; the outside of the hotel could use a painting and so could the pool. It is pricey, but you are right on the beach!

Convenient property by pier village and direct access to the beach. Hotel is clean and parking is free. Gym is outdated and probably should not be next to the indoor pool (humidity). They charge early and late check in fee.

Gym and indoor pool was not very clean. Outdoor pool had food n bird poop all over and around the pool area, lounge chairs. I nearly slipped stepping on it going into the pool. Cocktails Drink cups with ants around it.

The bar was only open until 8 on a Friday night. We requested 4 different common cocktails and the bartender did not have ingredients for any. Sangria is listed on top on menu. He told us multiple times that he “didn’t know” if he had the mix before he finally went and got it. There were other guests running through the hall from 130 to 4 am and no one from security came to address issue. Our stay was very disappointing

This place was not worth the money. The rooms are out dated, USB chargers and plugs did not work, the sliding shades had holes in them and were obviously stained/dirty. Air conditioning in our room broke. The service was beyond disappointing (besides the front desk, they were GREAT!). Breakfast buffet was standard, but the waitress was rude/standoffish. Housekeeping forgot leftover food in the refrigerator from the previous occupant. Overall, would not return and definitely not worth the money per night.

I have never experienced so many problems in any hotel, not to mention in a high end hotel. The price I paid called for a perfect or very near perfect experience. Way over-priced and overrated. Some problems: filthy floors with sand and dirt fm previous patron’s. broken shower knob, 3 different coffee pots which did not work, no top sheet on bed, door left ajar by staff when we were out of the room (anyone walking by could have walked in), etc., etc., etc.

This is a good hotel. The inside is pretty clean. Rooms have some wear for example top of desk chair material is completely shredded.room garbage bins are so tiny two water bottles would fill it. I stayed on the 7th floor and elevator hallway smelled like dirty diapers to the point I had to go complain because the elevator wait time is never short and the smell while I waited was making me nauseous. Entrance lobby is very pretty and also clean inside the hotel all bathrooms are very clean but there outdoor beach bathrooms which you are told at check in are there for your use after the beach and for your convenience in case you’d like to stay after checkout to clean up are totally disgusting and are far worse than the beach public bathrooms. This is where I feel a huge improvement needs to be made for the the price that is being charged per night. Also tried to use gym treadmills and could not because they are so warn that they are to unstable to run on. Luckily the boardwalk is nice and long enough for a run which is what I opted for but if it was raining my run wouldn’t have happened. I feel they should remove those treadmills as they are hazardous. Outdoor pool had napkins floating in it and no one cleaning up things flying in. Outdoor hot tub was out of order and had a large black tarp over it which was a Bummer because I wanted to use at the end of the day and couldn’t. Besides these point’s everything else was good but as I mentioned for over $700 a night can do better!

Walls between rooms are pretty thin. Shower is amazing- pressure is great. In room fridge and closet room is great. Beds / pillows are comfy. Balconies are an afterthought lacking room to do anything other than stand. Grounds and common areas are clean and well kept. Private beach area is first class but lacks bar service. Tiki bar is great but takes a 20 minutes to order a drink. Restaurants are good, eggs Benedict is amazing for breakfast, breakfast buffet is not worth it, selection a step above continental at best. Very poor service when arriving with pet. Had to wait almost 2 hours for my room to be finished. Then the room was old and run down for the price. I was told on the property that I would be charged an additional 150 for my pet which was not told to me from the beginning. I left early and was not happy with the place. Would love to get some of my money back.

The hotel was not an extravagantly glamorous, and it definitely had a resort feel to it. Was looking a little outdated, but it have been suited to looked decent. Rooms were very basic in the amenities, rooms felt very simple, no refrigerator, or music of anything in the room. The views of the ocean were great, but it was not close enough to see more of the oceanfront due to the beachfront and boardwalk taking the space. It had a Tiki bar which was the highlight of the day, indoor dining, an outdoor DJ during the daytime, and ample parking space to park the vehicle. Overall, the price of the rooms were not worth, but expected for the area where the hotel is located. Everything close the beach is expensive to the oceanfront property.

Based on other reviews, speaking with friends who stayed at the hotel, and the cost we had high expectations. Unfortunately it was an almost complete disappointment. The rooms definitely did not have a beach feel to them and you can tell they had not been updated in a long time. Beds and pillows were terrible. The floor we stayed on also was nothing to write home about, ice makers were only available on two floors in the entire hotel. There was zero organization at the front desk as to where you should line up and when someone did assist there was no sense that they wanted to help you at all. It was similar to being assisted at the DMV. The hotel staff who assisted with bringing bags to the room and storage rooms were the friendliest part of the hotel. The floor we stayed on also was nothing to write home about, ice makers were only available on two floors in the entire hotel. There was zero organization at the front desk as to where you should line up and when someone did assist there was no sense that they wanted to help you at all. It was similar to being assisted at the DMV. The hotel staff who assisted with bringing bags to the room and storage rooms were the friendliest part of the hotel. This is our 6th or 7th stay and we always have a great time. First: It is just an hour and a half from the Upper East Side under normal (not rush hour) conditions. Second: It is right on the beach and the beach is very nice. Third: Long Branch is cool. There's the Pier Village you can very easily walk to from the resort and then there are a lot of good places to eat and snack just a short drive away. Pier Village is pricey and the quality is hiit or miss and you can get caught in long waits if you are not strategic. The Turning Point breakfast plave is solid and the only reaaonable eatery in the village. Rooney's is a good seafood place about 5 mins down the boardwalk in the other direction. Oh yeah, Nichola Creamery has killer ice cream and unique fllavors. Fourth: The hotel itself is fine. Elevators were quick. The room is clean and on the spacious side. Hot water is always good and so is the AC. Each room is pleasant and has a balcony with at least some view of the ocean if not spectacular. We brought our dog and got a room towards the back on the 4th floor overlooking the banquet hall roof and the view still managed to be pleasant. Parking was easy and things are fine. There is also pretty good chair & umbrella service on the beach and towel service at pool and ocean is decent---no complaints. Things are a little rough around the edges; the outside of the hotel could use a painting and so could the pool. It is pricey, but you are right on the beach!

February weekend getaway for two (Valentine's Day). Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with a friendly and very warm welcome by the staff for a very quick check in process. Cute beach-vibe room, very clean, good shower, nice bed sheets, plenty of closet/drawer space, small refrigerator. After settling into the room we noticed the tv remote was not working. We were able to retrieve a new remote within minutes of informing the front desk. Highly recommend the ocean front view, absolutely beautiful. Due to our visit being in the winter, we did not get to enjoy the outdoor pool or beach. But we did enjoy the hotel's indoor pool/jacuzzi, fitness center, bar and restaurant gave. There are also many highly reviewed restaurants in the area within walking distance. I am looking forward to booking a return trip in the summer time.

Beautiful facility but very poorly staffed. 4 incidents. 1. We were given a room that needed a hard key but not told until after we went to room and had to make a trip back downstairs. 2. Omelet chef had no idea what he was doing, breakfast was terrible. 3. We ordered a salad in the restaurant and after 2 long waits they brought the wrong salad both times and we left hungry. 4. Waited almost 1/2 hour to get our things back from bellman when we wanted to leave, no one could find him. Very poor service all around considering over $650.00 per night!.

It’s very disappointing that a place with these rates can provide little to no services. It appears to be understaffed and run by a lot of kids with probably not much experience at the level of hospitality that a place with these rates should have. At the moment of checking in, it felt like they were pressuring to up-sale just because we requested a king size bed. At the end they “gave us a deal” at an additional $50 a night, and they had started at $150! The Tiki Bar where you’re supposed to find friendly staff to make you feel like you’re on vacation, was another disaster. At one point there were more people behind the bar than customers but no one was paying attention and it took about 20 minutes to get a drink, only because I asked multiple time. The bartender answer was that he was very tired after a long day (it was just around 5pm) and he couldn’t wait to get off. Maybe he’s in the wrong business. There were at least 3 more of them and no one stepped in when we asked someone else. After we had our drinks it took another 15-20 minutes to get the check… The breakfast buffet was another joke… the food choice was very limited and ran out of food very quickly, no one really there to assist you with anything. The one waiter serving pretty much the whole restaurant was obviously overwhelmed and, although he did his best, he couldn’t keep up with everyone’s demand at the same time so there was a lot of wait even for a cup of coffee. Beach chairs taken at 5, pool closes at 6??

The location is wonderful. They have a beautiful beach and one can walk to many restaurants and shops. The extremely late check-in and check-out was off-putting for the price of the hotel. Also the ice machine on our floor was broken, as was the one on the mezzanine. We had to go down to the bar to get ice.

What everyone likes about this hotel is its location. It is right in the center of the Long Branch boardwalk, right next to Pier Village. You can just check in and you can just leave the car in the parking lot. One downside to this hotel is that it is very expensive, even in the off-season. If they would lower their room prices in May and September, I would come down more often.

This place is pure heaven! Right on the beach and boardwalk. It is walking distance from Pier Village and all the restaurants and shops. Your stay includes beach access, chairs and umbrellas. Parking is also included. You can have up to two guests that can enjoy all the amenities as well.

Walls between rooms are pretty thin. Shower is amazing- pressure is great. In room fridge and closet room is great. Beds / pillows are comfy. Balconies are an afterthought lacking room to do anything other than stand. Grounds and common areas are clean and well kept. Private beach area is first class but lacks bar service. Tiki bar is great but takes a 20 minutes to order a drink. Restaurants are good, eggs Benedict is amazing for breakfast, breakfast buffet is not worth it, selection a step above continental at best. Very nice resort. Enjoyed the pool, bar food was yummy and the dj made for a fun atmosphere. Nice to not have to go far to enjoy the beach , restaurants and shops. And the parking also was very easy and included.

This place was not worth the money. The rooms are out dated, USB chargers and plugs did not work, the sliding shades had holes in them and were obviously stained/dirty. Air conditioning in our room broke. The service was beyond disappointing (besides the front desk, they were GREAT!). Breakfast buffet was standard, but the waitress was rude/standoffish. Housekeeping forgot leftover food in the refrigerator from the previous occupant. Overall, would not return and definitely not worth the money per night.

I found that the breakfast buffet was overpriced at $25 per adult and the baked goods and bagels were stale . The coffee cup was dirty one morning and one evening the restaurant floor and window sills ( table next to window) were very dirty. Dinner was delicious but the uncleanliness if the restaurant overshadowed the quality of the food . Rooms were updated and very clean Pools were clean Spa was amazing

Ocean Place has a great location. That is what brings us back frequently. The dining options can be a bit better however what they do serve is good. The pools are great and the Tiki Bar is the star!! Love tyhat the property is pet & family friendly.

To be clear, we love the area, and we stay here every July. The convenience is incredible. With the private beach, and in the middle of the boardwalk/pier area, we honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else. With that said, it's overpriced, food is less than meh, the spa services are outrageous so I don't partake (and I'm a spa person!). Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is less expensive, lol. But you don't have to partake in any of that to stay here, so that's what makes it worth it. The area: so many food choices. You can get something good for cheap or expensive. I don't eat large quantities, but I'm still a foodie. The "fast food" is fun... lobster rolls, Asian fusion tacos, pancakes for dinner... there's everything. Finer fare can be found beachfront. Everything within walking distance. The beach has its own area for guests and chairs and umbrellas are gratis. Tip the kids working there. They make the experience even more enjoyable. We looooove walking the boardwalk, and then when it ends we walk around the residential area and dream that someday we can own one of them suckers, lol. Get a bagel widdashmeah at Call Your Bubbi. Given the area, you really need to. Like, really really. The room: Bed was too squishy, but maybe you like that kind of thing. It's generally very clean. The TV was the death of me because it was dim. But if you don't care, then whatevs, amiright? The beach is so clean. The surf is so fun. It ain't cheap, but the location is key, so it's worth it.

The beach os close and the chairs and umbrellas are set up and provided at no cost. The experience of sleeping in the hotel was one of the worst I have experienced. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the noise it made evrytime ypu moved was not up to par. There were kids running up and down the hall till 2am and wasn't immediately handled by staff. That being said I would ask for an updated room with new beds and mattress. Stay away from the rooms near the ice machines, you will be hearing that also all night long

Our ocean view room was worth every dollar!! Clean, roomy, had a nice beach feel. That’s why I hate to say anything negative but the king size bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Other than that, love the resort and will definitely be returning next year!
