Unfortunately, my stay coincided with a storm so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach. However, for a luxury hotel, it did not feel very luxurious. There were cracked tiles in the lobby, parking was $55 and there was even tax on top of that - that was a ridiculous fee on top of an already expensive stay. The website implies a large gym but it was a very small gym with a very limited number of machines. The staff was courteous but I didn’t feel like anyone went out of their way. I asked for water and was told it would be brought to my room and it never came. Overall, the experience was fine but for the price of this hotel, I expected much more than ‘fine’.

This "resort" was a modern hotel with comfortable rooms and beds situated right on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean. The price quoted by Expedia was not accurate as we were charged a "resort fee" of $50 per night and for parking, also $50 per day. What makes no sense is that because it was off season, all the outdoor areas as well as the pool were closed off so there was no reason for that fee. The discounted attractions at Pier Village were also closed. We would have opted out of valet parking, but the only other option was a parking garage nearby that would have charged a similar amount. What really surprised me for a seaside hotel was that there was no way to open a window to the terrace, only the door leading to it. So in the warmer months, unless you keep the door open, the room is sealed shut. I can't imagine why anyone would like that. Though the staff were very nice and helpful, we felt ripped off by the excessive costs. We were told that in the summer, the rates are doubled. I appreciate the proximity to NYC and convenience, but it does not warrant those prices.

The checkin process was easy, with friendly staff. Room was very clean and spacious, the furniture looked worn and could use a facelift. We had an ocean front room, but no furniture on the deck due it being early May. Limited amenities for a resort style hotel. Additional daily cost ($55) for valet parking located across from the property on a dirt lot. Overall it’s a nice resort.

Wave resort & pier village were lovely. The room was very spacious, especially the shower & the balcony, beautiful! The bed was incredibly comfortable. I enjoyed the in room Nespresso. The pool over looking the ocean & staff were so nice. Negatives, I'm appalled at the parking rates ($55 per night) in addition to room costs, guest parking should be validated, only got room service 1 day despite putting sign out, and the 6th floor is an event room that you can hear music at night while sleeping on 5th floor.

Didn’t believe the rave reviews before I booked but decided to try it anyway. It’s all true!!!! We are so happy to have found this luxurious hotel just an hour from home on the Jersey Shore. The Wave had everything we needed. A beautiful and relaxing decor, greeted with a glass of champagne, lunch outside on the board walk lounge, an exhilarating spa treatment (Ingrid was absolutely the best), drinks by the fire pits at night, great food, heated outdoor swimming pool that was still open in October and the beach just steps away….not to mention all of the restaurants and shops within steps as well. No need for our car. Easy self-parking in the public garage across the street for $30 per night. I HIGHLY recommend The Wave Resort in Long Branch!!!!

The bed is awful. It tilts when you sleep on it, and it makes you feel half of the body is sunken into the cushion. The pillow was stiff and uncomfortable too. The facility has almost no gym but it still charged expansive resort fee. There were no room services after noon time, and no staff picked up the phone. The charge of parking was 60-80 a night. Really did not expect that an over $700 resort to be this bad.

Pool staff was not friendly, and seemed annoyed when I asked for an umbrella. Told me to get up and move my wheelchair that was not in the way. Everything else was outstanding!

Our stay at the Wave Resort was great. It felt like we were in Miami but with a more family-friendly atmosphere, which was perfect since we were traveling with a baby. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The pool was warm enough for us to enjoy with the baby, even though it was a chilly and windy day. While the beach chairs and umbrella service were convenient, we were disappointed by the lack of privacy. Other people, not associated with the Wave Resort, were sitting in the designated area, blasting music, and setting up their own umbrellas. If this is not allowed, it should be more strictly enforced. Additionally, on the day of checkout, none of the valet attendants knew how to drive a manual transmission car, so my husband had to retrieve the car himself. We stayed in room 413 which they knew was a problem with the bathroom. If you take a shower, it doesn’t go down the drain it floods the entire bathroom. I was standing in ankle deep water when I came out. I complained to the desk they already knew this was a problem room and still gave it to me. I stayed there for two days. I was very unhappy that I had to get out mop up the bathroom floor so I could get to the hairdryer leave the bathroom to dry my hair outside. I had to use every towel in the place to mop the floor up. I saw the general manager the next day. She told me they were gonna call an engineer to see what could be done and she’s lying because that hotel was built in 2019 and they know that room is a problem and still have not taken care of it. I came down there because I am under cancer treatments and didn’t need any stress in my life and I had it every time I took a shower. I did see the manager before I left. She gave me compensation on my resort fee, but I can guarantee you the room is not fixed since they haven’t fixed it since 2019 and will not fix it and anytime soon. Be prepared to have a flood in your bathroom every time you take a shower. Also had trouble getting into the room. The door would not open. Had to go downstairs three times finally got into the room could not get out of the room. They had to call a young man to come and get me out. The phone in the room did not work. Love the hotel, but they really are not keeping up with it and it is not cheap

The worst cleaning chemical smell int he room. We had to open the balcony room for 5 hours to get the smell out. I would recommend. One the front desk person told me to go to Bungalow next time because the room is bigger. Thanks for that tip.

Room was not what it was in the pictures. We complained about the room and we got a lesser room than what we paid for and were not refunded the difference. Pool was dirty and the pool bar was closed or bartender was too busy texting to help anyone. Restaurant down stairs had all dirty tables. Cleaning staff was very loud and banging around every morning making tons of noise starting very earlier and there were weddings and the music was soo loud we couldn't sleep. Balcony chairs were also wire chairs that were cute but very uncomfortable. not worth the $1000 a night price tag. Ocean palace down the street is quieter, nicer, more comfortable and a lot cheaper. Lots of fee were add to the bill too, making it even more expensive.

We had a very nice, mid-September post-season stay. The hotel and the local area were fairly quiet, even on Saturday morning. Room was nice, however I will say the property is quite expensive. It was not near capacity so the rate felt excessive. For the price, everything should be working and maintained just a little better - only 1 of 2 TVs turned on, the Chromecast would not work/spotty wifi, and the balcony door was very difficult to lock, clearly needing to be repaired. We called about the door, but it wasn't repaired, we just learned how to jiggle the handle to eventually get it into a locking position. You are paying for a beautiful view and convenience, but I have stayed at high-end luxury resorts in the Carribbean for less. It is the Jersey shore after all, even if it is a little elevated for the area. But if you go, you will likely have a great time.

Right next to the beach, quiet area in the off season. Probably lounder during the summer months. The downside was definitely the price gouging involved with this hotel. 50$ for valet parking to go 10 feet away to a dirt lot. 25$ a day to borrow a microwave that should be included at a "resort" . When we pulled out the sofa couch my son complained of sand eveywhere . Overall it is next to many shops (½ not open during winter/spring for more than a few hours during the day), clean, nice area to be in for a quick getaway.

When we arrived, outside the temperature was about 30 degrees. The room was cold, so we raised the thermostat to 72. 1.5 hours later the room was about 67 degrees. I asked the front desk to change rooms, she said no as it will only take a few minutes for the temperature to rise, the engineer will take care of it. By the time we left the next morning, the temperature in the room was 68 degrees.

It’s a nice boutique style hotel. But not worth the price. be aware they charge you daily for a microwave. Our room was a king bed with a Terrace which had no chairs or table on the terrace & when I asked for chairs they sent two tiny old rusty chairs. The room was very clean but very small ; walls are thin and I can hear the neighbors; the bathroom was very clean. No iron available in the room. Just small inconveniences. All in all if you have the money ; go for it. But it wasn’t worth the $$$

Absolutely not worth the almost $400 a night without the crazy resort fee on top of that. No reference to a valet parking so I parked in the overnight lot next door and was charged an additional $40. Staff was friendly. Had a room straight across from the elevator and heard to elevator my whole stay along with the slamming of the employee closet located next door to me from 6am on. Sink handles leaked every time they turned on and shower handle almost fell off. These things should not happen in a luxury room. Also there is a bizarre rectangle hole in the wall with what looks like black folders shoved inside. At first I thought it was where the air conditioning came out but there was another vent for that. Wonderful location but overall was not absolutely not worth it. Would not stay again and would not recommend

This is a nice hotel right next door to pier village. Plenty of restaurants and shops right next door. The hotel itself is nice, but the service (especially at the front desk) is lacking. A few things to keep in mind for anyone considering staying there: - In the high season this area is very busy. Half of the hotel rooms overlook the pool area which would be very loud and busy all day long. I recommend the other side of the hotel but beware, there is a huge empty lot on this side (meaning construction is very likely to take place there in the near future). - Before my stay I tied calling the hotel 9 different times and nobody picked up the phone (Voicemail box is full as well). During our stay the cable did not work for over 24 hours, we were staying there primarily to do "nothing" so having no TV was a big inconvenience. Front desk was rude about it, offered no help or solutions. One night we ordered take out and nobody from the front desk could be bothered to call us and let us know to come down. Three employees were staring at the bags when we went downstairs - The high tier rooms in this hotel go for $550+ per night in the high season. I expect much better service for that price range. You don't even get water bottles replenished. - The resort fee of $55 per day is charged even in the off season when there is no pool access, no beach chairs or towels etc. I have no idea what this fee is for. There is a tiny gym with two treadmills and an elliptical on site, nothing else.

The hotel is a great location and the rooms are excellent and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean, stunning. The service was mediocre and we had to take the luggage to our rooms ourselves. They didn’t have a breakfast on premises other than bagels, which seems silly to me. They recommend a breakfast place that took over and hour wait. Sometimes there was no one at the front desk. Housekeeping was nice but unprofessional. There was no do not disturb signs in the room and housekeeping knocked loudly at 9am. We asked them to come later. After 2 reminders directly with the staff, someone came at 4:15. Small things overall but I expected better. I’d probably stay at a more full service hotel next time.

When we arrived on site at 10:00am the staff was juggling phones, calming down upset guests and tried to be attentive about allowing us to store luggage and use facilities while we waited for our room in a “que.” They asked us to provide a phone number and instructed us not to come back until we received a text our room was ready. Approaching 5:30pm there was still no text and when we went to the front desk, still no room available. We asked to cancel, and we left to stay at another hotel nearby. We never saw or stepped foot in the room and we’re charged the full price of the overnight stay. Again, no room available at 5:30pm is absolutely inexcusable. I can’t comprehend how understaffed a hotel has to be to have no rooms ready at that time.

We've stayed at this property a few times now and enjoy the convenience of being able to park our car and walk to the beach, shopping and dining. We were a bit disappointed in the new parking fee @$55/day. A bit steep, in our opinion.

Super convenient as this is on the boardwalk in Pier Village. Includes beach lounges, umbrella and towels so no need to bring your own. Pool area is a bit small, but very pretty. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. From John and Steve who parked our car, Ivan and Justice who handled our bags, to Chloe and Taylor who checked us in and out. The people were amazing and made our long weekend really special. The food at Salt and Soya, the two restaurants on site or next door were fabulous. Anyone looking for a high-class kosher experience, this is the place to go!

The hotel was ok, but needed a lot of refinements as far as the finer points are concerned. The room furniture and walls were a bit worn. The front desk service was mediocre. The valet parking service was excellent. The $55 per day resort and parking fees were each very over priced, especially during the off season. The spa was excellent, as was the Maya restaurant. The location is superb, which is the big draw for the hotel.

A misleading hotel. A hotel that offers restaurants but when you get there you find out that they have 0 restaurants available ( they are upgrading one that may be ready later) and in its place they direct you to one connecting place that sells bagels and the like. This place however closes at 4 and that does not work on Saturday because of the sabbath. I have nothing against properties that follow specific religious guidelines but then I expect full disclosure so I know if I want to adhere to them or look for another venue. I was very disappointed in that regards. Having said that, I found the place well located, rooms are decent, beds comfortable, showers great and the people we did encounter nice.

The hotel is nice but it shouldn’t be called a resort since the amenities are not available after October 1st. Most restaurants were closed. No pool bar. No beach loungers or umbrellas. Tod this was mentioned on the website I would’ve gone to Asbury Park instead. I give this place 2.5 ⭐️

Beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. However, you seem to cater specifically to the orthodox Jewish population and wedding guests leaving not as comfortable a stay for those not in the former two categories. For example, the in house bagel store was a nightmare - so crowded with a poor way to pay and get service. There was no breakfast place available one morning because you had closed the room for an event - there aren’t many other places to get breakfast. As a “resort” with a hefty resort fee and very expensive rooms, this is not my idea of a relaxing time.

We arrived at 2 pm and our room was ready.Keep in mind that parking is not included and valet parking is $55 per night.Pool area is nice and also have bar and food options to pick from. Downstairs is a restaurant as well and a bar at the lobby but for some reason drinks there a very expensive. I was charged $31 for vodka and club soda drink.The location of the property is the best , it’s right on the beach and has boardwalk right outside with a lot of food and shops options.
