Room was a great size and the kitchen area was amazing with kids. The room was loud though, with dogs barking outside at all hours. The room was cleaned nicely, but the pull out couch cushions were gross, with a brown stain on the bottom of one cushion and it was not a comfortable mattress. Luckily, the kids didn't seem to notice. Pool was small and cold and towels were not refilled during the day, with one evening us grabbing the last two towels available, when it was 7pm (so the pool was still open for awhile later). That said, the room was very well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Wish the soap and lotion weren't attached to the wall, so my kids could reach them. Nothing in the direct vicinity, but fine if you're just needing to be in the area. I would stay here again and overall, we had a good experience.

Older hotel but well kept and clean. Quiet location close to but off the main highway with plenty of parking. Decent breakfast/breakfast area with additional outdoor seating by the (I think heated) pool. Only movie complaint would be the bed was a bit hard, and the pillows too soft.

Perfect one night stop on our way to cruise from Port Liberty. Little more than an hour from port to arrive fresh and rested. Hotel very clean, large suites, plenty parking spaces. Very helpful staff. Nice inside court with pool and BBQ. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. All with decent prices. Will return there on our next cruise from NY.

Gross. Filthy. Sticky. Dirty. We had a 2 bedroom suite that was absolutely filthy. There was food on the floor, the refrigerator wasn’t cleaned from the last guests, there is mold in both showers, there is stuff running down the bathroom walls, the fans have layers of dust, there was a wire sticking out from the couch. Way too expensive to be this nasty.

Do not stay on the 1st floor. It is a pet friendly hotel, and the 1st floor carpet reeked of urine (at least in our section) so strongly that my family members had to hold their breath while moving to/from our room to the side exit door. The rooms are great, showers had great water pressure. Breakfast was standard hot/cold options. This hotel needs to remove all carpeting in the general areas and replace it with laminate flooring.

Property has a heavy cigarette odor, poor customer service, the room was filthy and dirty, stains on the sheets and hairs on the floor. The furniture was worn down and outdated, despite informing the staff about this, they stated they had no other rooms available and could not accommodate. I would not stay here again!

Design of the room was weird. There was a living room and bedroom, but you had to go through the bathroom in order to go to the bedroom. If someone was in the bathroom, you couldn't leave the bedroom

This is generally a nice place to stay. The breakfast is good (the gentleman who makes the breakfast during the week is super friendly and helpful). The desk staff is very friendly as well and helped me when my plans had to be adjusted mid-stay. The room are also very clean. The only problem with the hotel is that the rooms are really getting worn down and desparately need a refresh. The furniture has lots of wear and the kitchen cabinets seem old and worn out. The staff is clearly trying to do what they can with what they have, but the rooms could really use some renovation. But I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed with our two teenagers for a gymnastics competition. Room was very clean, nice to have a table and refrigerator. The odd thing about the suite was the entrance to the bedroom was through the bathroom, thereby trapping folks in the bedroom or living area while someone is using the bathroom. Just an odd and uncomfortable setup depending on your suite mates. Breakfast was typical, but hot and decent selection. Luckily we had to wake up early anyway, but we got 4 random wake up calls we didn't ask for starting at 5:13 am. If I wanted to sleep in I would have been annoyed. Overall clean and nice.

Let’s start with the good. Staff were very friendly and rooms are spacious with full kitchen amenities. Pretty much ends there. Massive amounts of damage to furniture and room components. We were shocked. Location is near the highway but not walkable to anything. Breakfast was real bad. We did a diner 2nd day even though we had paid for breakfast. Window was broken and did get fixed within 24 hrs. Light bulb broken and fixed quickly. Furniture looked terrible and the couch was extremely uncomfortable. Weird stains on walls, curtains, lamp shade. Bathroom door casing is separating from the wood. Would not stay here again and cannot believe it has an avg 8+ rating.

Loved the pool. The layout of the room was weird and inconvenient. If only there was a door closing off the toilet and tub from the rest of the bathroom, then people wouldn't have to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Also, the door between the bedroom and bathroom didn't lock. Would be a great place for 1 person to stay alone, but with more than 2 people it was awkward and appears to be a very simple modification would make a HUGE difference for guests. If the bathroom situation was different, I'd give it 4 stars instead of 3. Also, the pull out bed on the couch was horribly uncomfortable. Thankfully my friend lent me his inflatable air mattress.

The second night we were there the front desk worker was not very friendly and quite rude. I’m not sure why but she really was abrasive in her communication with us. We were traveling with a group of well-behaved teenagers and she was very short with me when I asked for a lost room key for one student and when another requested a fresh towel. She also felt the need to remind us it was “quiet hours” because we were sitting in the lobby having a conversation. It was pretty ridiculous and unwarranted

Polite. Friendly. Competent. Helpful. We arrived an hour before official check in time because our schedule changed. Monica called housekeeping and found our room already had been cleaned. As we approached our room, housekeeping staff working in adjacent rooms smiled and told us all was ready in our room. It was. No guarantee it would always be so, of course, but they made the effort to try and accommodate. Appreciated by two tired travelers. Took a nap. Went for a beautiful walk in a park a couple of miles away before dinner.

To compare with the previous night in Virginia, the guy for the check-in that greeted us was nice and he looked at you when you talk. Location was good, quiet area. Breakfast was good, I would just add bacon, but good overall. We liked it so much, I booked for next February.

We were told when checking in that breakfast ended at 10:00, but when we showed up at 9:00 the staff was taking everything down. I showed her my watch and mentioned that breakfast was supposed to go for another hour, she argued with me and continued to remove all food and drink from the station. She said that during holidays they closed at 9:30. I said, “ok, but it’s only 9:00”. At that point she grudgingly said she would make me some scrambled eggs. Very rude.

Rooms seem nice but furniture bathroom vanity chipped not in great shape. Short people can not reach shampoo conditioner in tub and almost fell in wet tub trying to get it. Breakfast...cold prepared eggs were gross. How about a refund???

First floor has a very musky smell, like mold and damp carpets made it very hard to breath for someone who has bad allergies. Had air blowers pushing the smell around. Toiletries had not been replenished upon our stay, found out the hardway, no conditioner, no body wash dishes in cabinets/ utensils not clean. Rooms were OK, floors felt really dirty. Was pretty noisy, could hear highway noise from the back of the building rooms. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special. Oatmeal was soup, which sucked. We're stay here pretty often, this time was definitely the worst.

Homewood Suites was the perfect place for our nearly weeklong stay. The suites were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning and the special night of free fingers foods and wine. Homewood Suites will be our "go to" whenever we are in Jersey again. Thank you Homewood Suites - perfect in every way. Highly recommend!!
