Super disappointing to see what new owners have done to this classic hotel. We have stayed here before when visiting family in the area, so we didn’t hesitate to book our rooms for this trip. The remodel doesn’t make sense, materials were poorly chosen and poorly installed, and because of more ongoing work, amenities were not available. No pool, no restaurant, no bar. Falling plaster, holes in the floor, and trash left behind the nightstand. . . We will look elsewhere on our next visit.

Perfect for our short stay with our pup. Free parking on site. Clean rooms. Just a bit noisy as we were near the elevator, ice machine, and housekeeping room so we frequently heard noise day and night. Would stay here again though! Just not in the same room.

This hotel has tons of potential but we do have a few problems. No pool no restaurant no bar it needs to be renovated and room prices need to go up!!!! This place is in summit downtown is flowing lots of people they need to put money into the hotel and have the locals eat and drinks at the hotel. And still get customers to sleep there

This is a beautiful landmark hotel in downtown Summit that is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The lobby and public rooms, however, are in need of updating. That said, my guest room was modern, clean and very comfortable. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. A note for management is that the entry into the porte cochere is poorly lit. Otherwise, it was nice to have ample free parking. I recommend this hotel if you are visiting Summit!

Zero Stars. It has delusions of grandeur claims to be 3 star but has NO AMENITIES. Seriously overpriced. Restaurant is Closed. Pool is Closed. No phone in rooms no way to contact the front desk staff who were unhelpful in person. Rooms are dated and basic. Bathroom steams up as there is no window or fan so steam gets into bedroom. They claim that renovations are underway but there is no evidence of that. It is the Only hotel in Summit but it no longer deserves to be called a hotel. It's a bad BnB. The only nice thing I can say is beds are comfortable and staff (other than front desk) were friendly.

We were there for four nights and did not have a change of sheets nor had the room cleaned. The waste baskets were overflowing and there were no glasses nor water.

The property was very nice. The air conditioning worked great, but was not cleaned in awhile. It blew out chunks of mold all over the floor around the conditioner. The refrigerator worked very well. However The room did not have a safe.

This is a tough one...according to other reviews the Sumitt Grand is in the middle of a reboot, so I guess we have to take that into consideration. Some complaints...the breakfast has much to be desired. For a hotel room that was $185, a good breakfast with a good variety is to be expected. But it was exactly the same every day, eggs , no bacon or sausage, bagels,etc. They inform you that they clean the rooms about every four days. Again for $185, not good. The refrig was not working and we had problems with the coffee pot. The lady at the front desk absolutly refused to smile. Now the pluses. Beautiful old quint hotel. Walking distance to the train station and Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts,etc. The town closed early around six, except for some bars, but there was some nice antiqey type stores. Till the hotel gets it's act together, they should lower the rates of the rooms

The free breakfast was not really worth the cost. Runny scrambled eggs (every day) although the weekend saw the addition of sausage. The room is quite small. Although the say you can get fresh linens if you leave the dirty on the floor, no-one cleaned the room for 4 days so it was up to me to get linens at the front desk. And to reiterate, the room was not cleaned.

Stayed here for a night while in town. Checked in at 10 pm and left by the morning. It served its purpose for me, my husband, and our toddler and I’d recommend it to others. Very clean.

Front desk upgraded me to a king but the room in the second floor was a bit noisy from the ac in the roof close to the window. The room is very small but the bed is comfy. The breakfast was ok nothing special. Fire department was there with three engines and I walked to my room and there was no water pressure till the morning.

Spent the Easter weekend here visiting family. The king deluxe room was perfect for my husband and I as well as entertaining some family as it had a lovely sitting area along with a sunroom furnished with a table and four upholstered chairs . We enjoyed dinner Friday night as well as Easter Brunch on Sunday at their restaurant

Nice room, walk in shower is always better than tub shower. Renovated bathroom was nice. TV had poor reception but I’m not there for the TV reception. Walking to town was only about 7 minutes which is nice. The town is pricey but nice area but very enjoyable to walk in. Many churches in surrounding area. I would definitely stay there again.

Check-in at 4 pm took 20 minutes. Finally, I was told that the suite I had prepaid was unavailable and I would have to take a regular room. I asked if I would be refunded the balance I paid for the suite and was told, "Come back later and I'll buy you a beer." Won't be staying here again.

I’ve been waiting for someone to get back to me since I left a message at checkout a week ago. We checked out very early (5:30am) and the front desk was unstaffed. Rang bell and called manager number posted (which just rang the front desk phone) and waited but no one appeared. We left our key cards in the check out bowl on the counter but with zero security/locks on front door it felt really odd. I emailed that day. Still no response. Otherwise, the location is great. Main hotel rooms are lovely. Back addition rooms not so much.

When I went to check in they said they didn’t have a room for me and this was only about 2 hours after I booked the room on Hotels.com. Luckily there was one cancellation which opened up a room. This had the makings of a vary bad experience.

The Albion is a walk through history. The building is incredible with architectural features, lobby restaurant, and really nice modern updates. It's a few blocks to downtown Summit and all of the restaurants and shopping. The staff were off the charts friendly and helpful. The cigar bar was a great touch as well.

I have been staying at the hotel property for many years. I love the renovation. I really enjoyed Felina. I found the staff to be professional and friendly. I particularly enjoyed meeting Stephanie at the bar. She was welcoming and helpful with the new food and drink menu. There was live entertainment which made the experience fun and enjoyable.

I like the convenient location. I did not like that there is no microwave in the room. You have to travel outside of your room and to another floor (Lower Level) to use the microwave. Very inconvenient! Also, no more in-house restaurant or inside dining.

Why don’t the owners explain to staff that their hotel was built in 1929 not in 1868? Comfortable, nicely furnished, extremely reasonable prices, very walkable to downtown, easy parking. Skip the breakfast in the gloomy bar.

Fantastic! Unique old world charm updated to the 21st century. Rooms a bit small, but no complaints. The staff are friendly and check in was quick and easy. Great location about 2 blocks from Summit center where food and shopping abound. I can't wait for my next trip to Summit and The Grand Summit Hotel.
