Everything was good but the toilet got clogged and that was my only issue. The area had lots of shopping options, free and spacious parking, restaurant that will deliver upstairs, great gym, great customer service, free coffee, utensils available in the front, mini store, they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. House keeping had plenty of staff which was nice. Room didn't come with a microwave but they sent someone immediately to get us one. I was happy with the stay.

The room was ready and one of the desk personnel helped us by suggesting connecting rooms with family. However, I requested the room be cleaned on june 16 and no one came. I went to retrieve my freezer packs from their freezer n they went missing. I asked for plastic bags for ice n housekeeping brought me coffee. Also there is no swimming pool n no shuttle to the airport. No microwave and no luggage racks in the rooms. No towel racks in bathroom. I would not stay at this motel again.

Only booked this room based on the pictures that looked like they had a swimming pool - there is no pool It’s just a piece of grass. Also the breakfast staff was rude and wanted us to pay for food that we were still eating when using the free voucher tickets.

They allowed us to check in early, at 10 am. We just came in on redeye for funeral and needed to freshen up. Staff is very friendly, restaurant had good choice for breakfast buffet style for reasonable price. Rooms were spotless but hallway could use new carpet. We would stay again

This hotel is in a great location. It’s five mins walk from Carle place train station. It’s also in very close walking proximity to a major shopping district. The room was large and very comfortable. On the downside, there is only one shareable microwave oven in the lobby area. So on entering the lobby guests could be seen dining almost adjacent to the check in counter.

Apart from the carpet needing a thorough cleaning, our stay was pretty good. The room did have a moldy sour smell that I only assume came from the carpet in the room. Some shampooing is definitely needed.

During my trip there was a moldy, damp, basement smell coming from my room,I was transferred to another moldy room that was less moldy smelling. The staff was polite,the food was good and the decor and ambience were nice. It seemed as if there was a leak on the entire floor and they still placed me in one of those rooms.

The hotel is very nice, updated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Very satisfied with the room and cleanliness. The fact that there were hard floors instead of carpeting was a plus. I would definitely stay again but would skip the included breakfast buffet…wasn’t very good. We noticed a very strong perfume-like smell throughout the lobby and elevator which we thought was quite strange and unpleasant, but nothing to prevent staying there again, we just wouldn’t hang out in the lobby!

Just average. Of course it is NY so you pay for location, but hotel is clearly old and they just do maintenance and fixing instead of remodeling. I was expecting a bit more for the price. Hallway carpet obviously needs replacement. Room has no shelves or dresser for clothes. Housekeeping did our bed and left us cleaned towels everyday. Conveniently located. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn’t stay more than a couple of days.

This was a quick, 48 hour business trip to Garden City. I was looking forward to the stay because I assumed it was going to be a really nice hotel based on the daily rate of $350/ night. I was greeted by very pleasant staff and felt welcome right away. From that point on it was downhill. Thin walls, underwhelming room space and reserved a "garden view" room but there was no garden to speak of in my view. Just a parking lot. I was at the end of the hall, by an entry door which kept me up as i heard everyone that entered and exited that door. Overall it got the job done, but value and quality for the price was disappointing.

The room had a vanity, but no light over the mirror so it couldn't be used to apply makeup. The extra $25 that we paid to include breakfast was not worth it. We were on the 2nd floor but could still hear people in the parking lot outside arguing early in the morning.

Although the property was clean and conveniently located and the staff were efficient, the bathroom was very poorly designed. Even though guests are encouraged to save the planet by reusing towels, there were no towel racks. There was no plug for the drain , so I wasted a lot of hot water while I shaved. There were hand soap and body wash dispensers, but no soap for faces. The hand soap dispenser was right over the toilet bowl, and there was no soundproofing between the bathroom and the beds. There was no microwave and only a miniscule fridge. There was no luggage rack for my suitcase and no light by the work table. Finally, the chair were inconveniently low relative to the height of the table.

Very impressed about the check in. We where checking in around 8pm due to travel and our room wasn’t ready. We waited for almost half an hour. We would have thought that our room would be ready since we were coming in late, we were exhausted and just wanted our room and had to wait. The room was very clean though, we did get free breakfast for the wait but still almost 350 dollars for 2 nights I would expect the room to be ready.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before. However, this time was the worse! Huge building is being demolished. Demo work starts at 8.30 AM!!! Can't sleep, can't relax, can't work.. It's a total mess. Not only that fire alarm was activated in the middle of the night. Even everyone were able to smell some burning smell, front desk kept saying it was a false alarm. Couldn't sleep after that all night anyway. So, never again....

Our daughter and I had an amazing experience here. The area was perfect! We were here for a concert at UBS and the location worked great for us being between Stony Brook and NYC. I only stayed overnight and I have no complaints. My room was clean and the beds are really comfortable. We woke up and proceeded the dinning area for the breakfast buffet. The hotel was decent overall. It was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated, but the rooms felt a bit dated. Unfortunately, our room was not ready when we arrived, even though it was already about an hour after check-in time. That was frustrating, although the staff did eventually get us settled. For a Holiday Inn Express, I understand it is not meant to be a luxury hotel, so my expectations were reasonable. However, at around $390 per night, I did not feel the value matched the price. At that rate, I would have expected a smoother check-in experience and a more updated room. One other issue was the breakfast policy. There was a letter in our room saying to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but we were told we needed tickets or passes. That made the breakfast feel selective and confusing rather than truly complimentary. Overall, it was an okay stay, but based on the price and experience, I most likely would not stay here again.

We chose this hotel for a special family trip with our young son, and the staff went completely above and beyond. From start to finish, the team was incredibly communicative, helpful, and kind. Though we only stayed for one night, we are already planning a longer return trip this summer. The Property: The hotel itself is wonderful—clean, comfortable, and highly accommodating. Our room was spacious and pristine, the amenities were excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The restaurant and courtyard are also beautiful, clean, and welcoming spaces. The Staff: It is rare to find a team with this much genuine heart. I especially want to thank Nailah from the front desk for taking such good care of us, as well as Nisary and Aldina from the management team for the incredibly thoughtful and generous surprise they organized for our son. We are so grateful for our stay and cannot recommend this property enough to anyone visiting the area!
