After greeting the person at the front desk in a friendly manner, he simply asked for my drivers license and credit card, and couldn't bother to get off his fat ass. What's happened to Hilton?? Why would they put someone at the front desk who acts like he's working at an auto parts store? The room was fine, except they had the dishwasher running for our first two hours (we checked in at 5:30, so had to endure the loud noise of it until 7:30). Tried the pool: in addition to being super cold, they have some crazy policy where you have to go to the front desk, sign a waiver, and then you can't even access it from the courtyard. So, forget the poolside BBQ experience. Overall, this place is not worth it.

Amazing hotel with great amenities!! Staff was so polite and helpful, the hotel was super clean and modern. Breakfast was great and everyday during the week they offer free beer, wine and snacks for the guests. If you forgot anything out need a snack you don’t have to go far because there’s a little shop right in the lobby. Hilton never disappoints!!

Beautiful well appointed room .. busy area surrounding hotel but everything is within a quick 5 minute drive ! Nice pool and exercise room also. Breakfast has a lot of options for everyone !!

First impressions are everything and when I entered the hotel I felt like I was bothering the person to do their job. We were not greeted, we were not given a response after saying thank you. I searched for a hotel with free parking and when I arrived I was told I had to pay for parking. I had to ask for the price of water before being given a "welcome" bag with 2 bottles of water. Once again I said thank you and no reply. The pictures of the room on the website were beautiful, unfortunately the room was not, the dishwasher had better days, the cabinets had seen better days. The cleaners should be written up or given bleach for the mildew in the shower. Never again will I stay at this hotel. Kayla was trying to make it right but unfortunately she was off when I was available.

There was dirt in the corners. The floor was sticky. There was a large broken piece of wood under the vanity that was dangling under and there was dirt and chunks of wood in the corners there. The sheets had stains and the pillows were worn out

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and always appreciate the convenience of the location. The rooms are large and spacious. Unfortunately, our room this stay had a lot of fruit flies in it which was disappointing. When we told the front desk, they said they would tell the house keeping staff for their next scheduled cleaning. I also had booked a room with two queen beds and upon arrival I was told we were moved to a room with one king bed and a pull out sofa. When I said that I wish I had been notified of the change in advance, the front desk staff said they couldn’t notify me because I booked through a third-party site. Like I said, I have stayed here a few times and this stay was just good/okay when it is usually excellent.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve had. After staying one night the roaches started coming out. After complaining to the front desk, they reassured us that we would be moved to another room. I advised I would be out for the day and they again assured us that the other room would be available for us when we returned. When we returned the room was booked to someone else and they did not have anything that would accommodate my elderly parents, kids and dogs. The manager did not hold the room for us leaving us to scramble to move to another hotel. I’ve been waiting since Tuesday to hear back from a manager. No one has reached out. Expedia is trying to reach out so that we get a refund and they are getting the run around. I will be emailing corporate as well as disputing the charges on my credit card. Deplorable service and cleanliness.

If you like someone's old Chinese takeout food left in your room, leaking water from the floor above, having to move rooms in the middle of the night, the water turned off and no access to water in your room for a day or able to flush the toilet and German Roaches then this is the hotel for you. I must add that the GM Paul is a Gem. Never again will I stay here.

Stay was decent. It was quiet and convenient, which were our main priorities. However, the room was not very clean. Upon entry into our room, we were hit was a strong musty / mildew odor. The cabinets, corners of grout and other nooks and crannies all had some sort of dirtiness. There were a couple stray body hairs, a Bobby pin, mold, chipping of wood / peeling of veneers, etc. The surfaces, bed, linens, common areas and frequently touched surfaces were all clean. I do not think the “average person” would notice as much as I did, only because I’m self-admittedly a germ-a-phoebe. Another complaint is the mattress. It was a sagging spring mattress that was difficult to get comfortable on. It seemed like it needed to be replaced. Other than the mattress and minor dirtiness in the room, it was a decent stay. The breakfast was good, staff was friendly, building was nice, and so on. I would stay again in hopes of a cleaner (and not as moisture affected) room.

Not so great. The water temperature in the room fluctuated between ice cold and Luke warm. So after a day out in the cold weather, we would come back to the hotel and have a Luke warm/ice cold shower. The hotel could give us no explanation or solution. Instead, they gave us a refund for 4 days.

Nothing to write home about at this place. Clean bed, clean shower, and pretty spacious. That’s about all it had going for it. Had a 2 bedroom suite on the 2nd floor, and you could literally hear the conversations from the guests above us. You can hear every step, every flush of the toilet, can even hear when they turn on the shower. Super poor sound barriers between the floors. Also, the hotel I believe was recently renovated by the looks of the pictures, but it REALLY needs a lot of TLC. For a newly renovated hotel, the bathroom vanity looked 20 years old, along with kitchen cabinets. Paint chipping everywhere, just cosmetic things. Add those to the noise you hear from your upstairs neighbor, and I’d be looking to stay elsewhere.

The room floors were so thin. I could hear every movement from the guests above me. Some of the furniture had done wear to it. Mattress was pretty stiff and the pillows were thin. Breakfast was decent with options.

Fantastic stay at Homewood Suites! luxurious room, and great amenities. The staff was attentive, and the location was perfect. Arrived almost 30 minutes earlier than check-in time, but the fromt office arranged the check-in immediately! Check-out was also smooth & fast! Highly recommend—will definitely return!

If you are considering this hotel and you have anywhere to be on a schedule or expect to check in early, on time, or within hours of on time, rethink your choice. Guaranteed check-in is 3pm. We called multiple times to inquire about an early check-in which we knew was not guaranteed. However, we were traveling from out of state with an infant and small child and had a wedding to get to. I was told to call the morning of to check availability. Morning of we called as instructed and were told we would be able to check in at 2. On arrival, we were told the earliest the room would be ready would be 3:30. Again, guaranteed check in is at 3. I mentioned this was not going to work as we had to leave for a wedding. We were repetitively told the room would be ready in 20 minutes over and over again. At 5:45pm, there still was no room available. Room was finally available at 6pm. An absolute nightmare for a family with two young children to be stuck waiting in an unclean hotel lobby for 4 hours. At the very least, honest communication would have been appreciated as clearly the room was not being cleaned when we were told it was at 2:15 or multiple times thereafter. General manager is not reachable on weekends so be forewarned.

I requested well in advance for two things only one was granted , no connecting rooms but I asked not to be near an elevator but I was in a room near an elevator and laundry room. I forgot to put on my door knob Do Not Disturb and I received a few Knocks at my Door at 8:15 am when checking out is at 11am , I complained to The General Manager he said it was my fault for not putting the do not disturb sign and I have stayed at Many Hotels in my Life and no one has ever knocked at my door and he said in His Thirty years as a Hotel Manager he has Always Done This in order to clean the rooms. He needs to show a little bit of sympathy with his Guests and he could had apologized and still said what he needed to say. His tone was Not Professional!

Very disappointed. I’ve been coming to this property for several years. I will say that it is still very clean and up to date. However, customer service and breakfast are lacking. Was put in the wrong room to start- not a big deal- was moved immediately. Both Friday night and Saturday night there was a large event happening on the 3rd floor directly below my room until after 10pm- extremely loud music with a dj and everything. I called the front desk and they would ignore me, hang up on me or not answer at all. The music was so loud it was shaking and thumping in my room. The breakfast options were very slim and not very good. I doubt I will return which is a shame- it’s a great location and a clean hotel.

We were travel weary after a long flight for SoCal to attend a funeral. Kaylah (sp?) went above and beyond to help us get access to, and settled into, our immaculate and comfortable suite, so that we could get some much needed rest. The property was very clean, and the receptionists were excellent and very friendly. They engaged in conversations and offered directions and solutions to common issues. I felt that they went far beyond what is expected. Warm greeting upon first entering the hotel.

I could not go last minute so when my wife and kids tried to check in, they wouldn't let them because their name was not on the reservation. I went on Hotels.com and changed it to my wife's name immediately and the rude "manager" said she didn't see it updated. I sent my wife the new email with her name as well as pictures showing her name and the manager still wouldn't let them check in! She put me on hold and came back to say she spoke with the "highest authority" and they said no. I then asked if I could speak with that "authority" and she turns around and says that she is the manager and there is no higher authority. My wife said she saw the lady put me on hold and do nothing for 5 minutes before coming back to me. I then asked her if she could refresh her browser to see if the name shows and she kept interrupting before I could finish a sentence saying there's nothing else she can do. I then asked her if she was enjoying being so rude and having this "power" and she hung up on me. She then told my wife to leave the hotel because "your husband was being abusive" !!! Then Hotels.com agents were trying to call her and she kept hanging up on them! I have the screenshots of the chart with hotels.com. Hilton Honors talked to her and she lied saying my wife was being abusive! My wife is not that type of person. This whole thing was extremely frustrating and now Hotels.com is still trying to charge me even though we didn't stay there! My wife had to find another hotel!

From check in to check out, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The location is 2 lights away from the Roosevelt mall which is a beautiful mall. Dining and shopping around the corner from the hotel also very nice. This is my second time staying at this hotel and it’s awesome!

Room was excellent, check-in was quick and painless and the hotel has a very reasonable incidentals deposit. Convenient location for commuting to my work site, parking lot was a bit crowded but driving around the building you can definitely find something. Exterior was well lit at night and felt safe enough to walk to my vehicle without having to check over my shoulder.

20 minute walk to the LIRR. Walking distance from fast food and grocery. Our first visit to New york was a great experience, great hotel choice! Would stay with them again!

Breakfast each morning was terrible and needed to keep asking if there was more coming out as other guests were taking Togo containers full of food after eating depleating all of served food. Help stated there was no more food to be brought out or smaller portions being brought out. We have 3 children and travel with no problems and look forward to the breakfast at the hotel and family time. This was impacted as my kids and were not able to eat a meal due to this. We don’t care about us eating but only the kids. This really impacted the stay and made it harder in us as we are on vacation to give them the best experiences ☹️😞

Please note that there is no hot tub, although this is specified in several descriptions of the hotel. Additionally, the buffet breakfast is disappointing - food was not kept warm, and seemed to be lacking in selection. For example, on a Saturday morning, the waffle machine was not available, although had been set up previously for Thursday & Friday. Finally, a staff member at Check In was very unengaged, and made me feel that I was encroaching on their time. Perhaps having a bad day, but it was very obvious that they were not interested in being customer-friendly.

We have stayed here for extended vacations - with our grandchildren - numerous times and have always had a great experience. The kids refer to this place as “our hotel”. The hotel is very clean, quiet, the employees are friendly, has a great breakfast (something for everyone….and that coming from someone who eats low carb), great location - with ALL the stores you would ever need close by. The pool is great (huge bonus for the kids & papa). The kitchenette with a full size fridge and stove is a huge money saver while vacationing with children. The kids love being able to grab a healthy snack or freeze pop from the fridge or cabinets. I love being able to cook dinners and prepare lunch for a day at the beach.

The room staff was good. The Hotel had no internet service on Friday 8/924 and 8/10/ 24 only came on 8/11/24, Lights were flickering. Breakfast was terrible and limited, the oranges looked as if they were not fit for human consumption. First time at this brand would not recommend.
