**Terrible Check-In Experience and Misleading Advertisement** I had a very disappointing experience. The check-in process was incredibly frustrating. While we didn't have to wait long, the staff was not at all customer-friendly. She was curt and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the swimming pool, as we wanted our kids to have an enjoyable time during our stay. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was under renovation and completely unusable. This was incredibly frustrating because there was no mention of this on the Expedia listing. If we had known, we would have chosen a different hotel. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families looking for a relaxing stay.

Friendly staff. Areas and room need to be updated. Several areas look unkept. TVs have no streaming services.

Property was good. Staff friendly. The only draw back was the wi-Fi it was nonexistent in the rooms. I had to get a SIM card with AT&T to do my work coming from Canada.

The hotel staff was very kind, the free breakfast was great, and the convenience of the location was perfect! An important note is that the hotel is up on a hill, and you can drop off your luggage at the door, but be aware that there's a set of large stairs to climb from the parking lot up to the hotel. We chose not to get housekeeping while there, and the staff was kind to give us extra toilet paper/bags when needed. The only strange thing about our stay was that an area of our carpet was wet when we arrived (we had a maintenance guy check it out, and there was no leak anywhere) so it must have been from the carpet cleaning, possibly? We're not sure. But it never fully dried during our stay, which was weird. Overall, our stay was good and we'd stay here again if in the area!

Hostess was sweet and did her job. The room I was assigned, the toilet was not connected to flange. Second room, felt unclean. Gym was missing all type of weights.

The ground floor reception area and breakfast area was decent, but that was it. Room dirty and very dated and worn as was most of the property. Very disappointing stay. Pool was closed and the whole area was disgusting. Never stayed in such a disappointing Hampton Inn.

The hotel is in need of a renovation. The lobby and eating area were fine. The rooms were not. In our room specifically, the window that at one point used to open, does not anymore and it was not closed 100%. It was closed near the bottom but not near the top. It would not budge as we tried to close it ourselves. There was a metal bar sticking out of the side of the bed frame that my son cut himself on. The wallpaper was slightly peeling in places, and it appeared it was painted near the ceiling to try and fix the peeling. Plus, the pool is not operational and hasn't been for a couple years! We did complain and the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. On a positive side, the bed was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. They did say they have been told by corporate they were on the list for a renovation, but it keeps getting pushed back. So, Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc. if you are reading this, I would not push back the renovation for this hotel any further if you don't want to continue receiving damaging reviews.

The room was dirty. The floors were very dirty, wore new white socks in the room for less then 5 minutes and the bottoms turned black from walking on the carpets as of i were walking on the road. There was no hair dryer. The food was subpar. The room was supposed to be a king study size room but it was a queen size room that we received. The room it self also smelled like mold.

Never been to such foul smelling room. Bathroom was old and mouldy. Awful room service. We had to check out much earlier than planned because of the smell! Would never stay at this location nor would recommend!

I’m a loyal Hilton customer and have stayed at many Hampton Inns, but this one was by far the worst. We arrived around 1 a.m. to find trash and crumbs in the elevator and hallways. Our room wasn’t vacuumed, and there was black mold in the shower. Exhausted, we went straight to bed, only to wake up with bug bites all over our legs and arms. My partner had the same issue. We also found black flea droppings in the bed. We decided to check out early, canceling our second night. At the front desk, another guest was complaining about the same issue. We were told to speak to the manager, who emailed us stating a refund would only be issued if fleas were found after an inspection. Despite multiple emails and calls over the next month and a half, we received no follow-up, no inspection, and no refund. I understand things can go wrong, but the lack of communication and accountability was frustrating. This experience was a huge disappointment, especially from a brand like Hilton.

Hi there, I am sorry to write this email as I generally love to write positive reviews and emails, but I am writing to provide feedback which will hopefully lead to fewer of these feelings from customers in the future. It also seems more constructive to write these things in an email than to post a negative review online. My family and I just arrived home after checking out early from your hotel, which we have never done before. Upon arrival, the first sight that greeted us as we opened our hotel room door was a dirty toilet that was open and the water kept running and running into it, as if their was either a leak or a clog. There were clean towels but after a quick glimpse of the shower, it was clear that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly for quite some time. There was hair in the drain, someone else's used soap in the shower, biofilm/soap scum on the shower head, toothpaste splatter on the handles of the drawers, etc. We informed the (lovely) front desk employee of this and she apologized profusely and offered to move our room, but as we had already gotten set-up, we told her that we would just like the bathroom cleaned while we were at dinner instead. This hotel was nothing like what was advertised online. The room had dirty carpeting and the bath tub was filthy, and there was stains on one of the towels. I will never stay at this property again, or recommend it to anyone. I am requesting a full refund.

Not a clean as one would hope. Dirty rags, dirty tub, flies and bugs.

The pool is closed. I don’t think it will ever be open. Matt at the desk was great as were all the other staff. Our room didn’t have a chair for the desk. There was only one tiny waste basket. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure.

My main complaint is the bathroom in the king room. The door is huge (for handicap access?) so it has to be open all the way or closed to do anything in the bathroom. There was no fan so had to leave the door open when showering. The toilet seat was so low that it was difficult to use. I’m 5’10” and had to use the countertop to help me up. Microwave was next to the ice machine in a vestibule by the elevator. Pillows were so shmooshy that I brought my own in. Horrible for side sleepers. Lamps needed to be replaced, somehow rusty? Staff was congenial, hot breakfast was mediocre, typical Hampton Inn fare. The hotel is built into the side of a steep hill so I don’t recommend it for people with disabilities or lots of luggage. There’s a long ramp up to the lobby if you’re looking for one, otherwise several steps up. Parking is on 4 levels of terraced lot and fills up. This was my 3rd Hampton Inn this week and my least favorite.

Rooms need major updating, beds were supposed to be double-beds but definitely were not standard, they were very small. Wall paper peeling off walls in room, bathroom was definitely not of the standard for price paid! Little details lacking…like walls needed paint in bathroom, furniture was old, no microwave & worst of all TV didn’t work.

I was unhappy with the stay at this hotel. The breakfast that was offered was very blah. Nothing ro get excited about. The rooms at this hotel need aome updating. There were no microwaves in the room, you had to go to the area where the ice machines were located. The hotel sits awkwardly on top of a hill.

Everything was fine. The only issue is the toilet is very low. A little difficult for someone with knee issues.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room could do with a refresh but was clean and comfortable. The noise from the roads outside was loud making sleep harder. The dog barking on one side and the constant arguing on the other side didn't help. More soundproofing would be nice. Breakfast and afternoon cookies were good! Fitness room was nice.

The room is just okay-the heater is very loud, the chair is stained, the table legs are loose, the walls are thin, the mattresses are lumpy & everything needs to be remodeled. The breakfast area was roomy, great selections of food & good coffee. Great that they have a ‘sweet shop’ with accessible microwave & the lobby area was super clean & smelled nice. Ok for a quick 1 night stay close to Sleepy Hallow.

We were early but they made accommodations for us until our room was ready. We enjoyed our breakfast and the clean towels we picked up every morning as we were there for business so would not be needing the housekeeping. Very agreeable staff.

When we arrived for check in, Amira was assisting me with the process. She advised me that the 3rd party that I originally booked thru did not provide a proper virtual credit card. She called orbitz to inform the problem. Representative told her to call back due to computer problems. Amira did so. Got another representative who basically did not help her (or me). Amira figured out that's Orbitz is an Expedia affiliate. Amira used Expedia's virtual card number, and the transaction went thru. She was so patient and accommodating!!!! I thanked her because I was already not having the greatest day for being my birthday. Her and her coworker wished me a happy birthday and thanked me for being patient. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area. Clean rooms. Variety of breakfast items for Continental breakfast.

I will never stay here again. I can’t believe how incompetent some of the staff are regarding charging issues. When I brought up my concerns, there was a complete lack of care and attention to resolve the problem. Furthermore, the breakfast is the worst I’ve experienced at any Hampton Inn. Do not waste your time at this property; look elsewhere.

Christina was amazing she single-handidly saved this reservation as it was a frustrating situation where Expedia changed thee date on our reservation causing a complication that led to over an hour delay to check in. If Christina at the front desk hadn't been so wonderful I would have given up and gone somewhere else.

It was comfortable and clean. Receptionist was nice but busy to handle all by herself. The staff during breakfast was the best very attentive to my needs. They even watched my special need chil while I went to the bathroom or get breakfast for my other 2 children. The janitor was nice and helped watching my child while I went to get my car on the lower level. They were all great. I really enjoyed the hotel. I traveled by myself with my 3 children. We had a happy and safe stay. The laundry in the basement was convenient too.

Only one person handling check-ins at busiest time 4-5:30. Also had a huge problem with check-in. Took over an hour to resolve. Had changed my reservation date and Expedia sent me a confirmation but the hotel had no such info.

The check in was quick and efficient. It was a very nice touch offering a selection of drinks and snacks! The room was clean abd comfortable. The bathroom is small but it is manageable. Breakfast offered many options which were readily available. Check out was also quick a d efficient. I would stay here again.

Overall the hotel is fine. You can only turn right into the hotel and the driveway is right after a light. The parking lot is strange. Lots of steps. It was fine for me staying one night, but I wouldn’t bring my family here. Too hard to get in and out. The staff members at the hotel were very nice and helpful. The hotel seemed clean, but it was a little dated. The weekend breakfast started at 6am which was very nice.

The Front Desk people were really kind and helpful. I reported to them that there was some water on the floor at the end of my bed (carpet) but I did not report it until the next day. It appears that the refrigerator may have been leaking and got the carpet wet which caused the room to smell a little. It was late and I was tired so I didn't change rooms or ask to change rooms. The front desk people said they would get the room taken care of after we checked out. Decent hotel. My only thought would be is that if you miss your turn coming into the hotel, you are going to end up in a parking lot which is slightly down the hill from the actual hotel and if you have a problem with stairs that would definitely be an issue. I came in at night and it was difficult to see that and suddenly I was at a very steep hill and a lower parking lot.

On the side of a hill, so parking is at an incline. Feels like a standard Hampton Inn. Front reception didn't list me as a Hilton Honors member though we discussed it. So I didn't have free wifi access.

Very convenient being close to the major highways. It was easy to get to several locations in the NYC metro area.

It was very conviently located at the entrance to the Cuomo Bridge and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast is terrible

Was a pleasant stay however only downside was the break feast. Only hot food was the oatmeal and if you want to consider the sponge egg a hot food. Other than that stay was nice.

The hotel feels a bit outdated for the price I paid. Breakfast was okay, but it could use more variety, and the coffee was served cold.

Hotel looks like it is having some work going on, so there were parking spots taken by construction trucks. Room provided what I needed, nothing special. Front desk person at check in Tuesday night was super sweet. One of the treadmills in gym wasn’t working and it looks like the machines haven’t been wiped down, bottles rings/drips on platform where you would leave your phone or keys. Nice morning breakfast selection and love how they have to go bags in the morning.
