Extended Stay America Suites - White Plains - Elmsford

The bathroom had a small sink and poor lighting. The refrigerator and bathroom fans made a lot of noise all night long. The gym was very small with only 2 pieces of equipment and 5 individual free weights. The coffee was weak. I checked out after 1 night stay and the front desk clerk didn’t even care why i was checking out early. In fact i was charged a penalty for leaving. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! For the same price the Hampton Inn next door was a much nicer hotel with better amenities.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel smelled like weed everywhere, and the rooms also had a smell (not sure if it was weed or something else). Parking lot and stairs to the hotel from the parking lot also smelled like weed. The room itself was fine, but seems overpriced for what it is. There was no housekeeping while staying, only before and after your stay.

Overall good. Amenities and facilities need updating, maintenance and refurbishing. Fitness room equipment doesn’t work, microwave didn’t work, iron and tv work sometimes. Perhaps when cleaning rooms these things should be checked out on a checklist. Internet didn’t work with laptop to get on a work related Zoom meeting. No one could assist me. When calling front desk at night for help the young man didn’t know what to do and told me I was on my own!

The Oarking lot was scary! Verydark and felt unsafe, especially if you're a female!! Need more lighting. The Hotel is old and needs to be renovated. For example the Fridge was rusty and hard to open.. The bright side was the young man working at the reception desk! Very patient and cordial! Kudos to him..

Service great! The floor in the room was not clean, something spilled on it. Construction guess was in the garage one urinating others drinking on the upper level bottles left in parking area trash and that’s all the tribute to the guest for some company that was staying there!

The staff were friendly and helpful, but this place is a dump. You have to park in a sketchy parking garage with a stairwell that smells like people have been using it as a urinal for generations. I’m so unpicky about most things.. I was ok with the no frills room.. the badly stained floor mat in the bathroom wasn’t great, but I flipped it over.. just to reveal much worse stains on the other side. Had to inspect each towel carefully before using, and while brushing my teeth, a bug ran up the wall next to my face. If I had booked a $60 a night motel I’d have expected this, but this was over $200. There were a number of “characters” around the parking lot. I’d suggest 1) ideally, don’t stay here or 2) don’t arrive late at night

The elevators in the parking garage were broken at night when I came in and again in the morning. Had to haul my bags up and down three parking levels. They should have been paying me

Staff was wonderful. Parking garage felt unsafe and smelled of urine and mold. Cleanliness of room was poor, light switches were dirty, hair from previous people under bed and in bathroom. Outside of fridge dirty.

The representative at the front desk was very kind and professional, but unfortunately, the hotel itself was extremely disappointing. The property was filthy, run-down, and had an overwhelming odor that varied from animal waste to marijuana to just general funk. It was honestly one of the dirtiest places I’ve ever stayed. The bed didn’t even have a proper box spring — just a mattress placed on a low platform with only three pillows. Nothing in the hotel felt clean or well-maintained. The gym area was cluttered and grimy, and my room looked and felt like something out of a rundown motel, not a proper hotel. The only reason I didn’t leave was because every other place in town was fully booked due to the Tarrytown Halloween Parade. Otherwise, I would have checked out immediately. Outside, there was a pile of dog waste near the parking area that sat there untouched for all three days of my stay. The same unpleasant smell in the elevator when I arrived was still there when I left — no sign of cleaning or upkeep. Overall, the place was not just old and neglected, but completely unkempt. It felt more like a long-term housing facility than a hotel for travelers. I would never return — it was honestly that bad.

Pleaae do not ignore the comments. Upon my arrival i checked my room. As i always do. Everyrhing was fine until i saw the tub. It was disgusting. Ive never seen a tub look like that in my life. Whenninreported it to frontndesk he informed me becuz i pulled the sheets back. - which i always do to inspect the bed. He denied me an upgrade. I said are u kidding me. Everyone inspects the bed sheets, mattress, everyrhing. I did not sit down nor did i lay down in the bed. I told him u can tell when someone lays down in the bed. I will never stay there again. The app is not allowing me to upload the photo. But i have it. And i will contact the manager today.

Infested with cockroaches crawling around the room, called front desk and was told they’ll let management know.

The bathtub is very dirty. It hasn't been cleaned in a long time.

Terrible stay. Cockroaches everywhere and then I notified management. They moved me to a new room which looked like it had a leak in it, and the paint was falling off from the ceiling. Then they moved to me to another room and that didn’t help at all I asked for a partial refund and they said to call someone. absolutely disgusting.

I didn’t like that the entire hotel smells like disinfectant and cannabis!!! The sheets were stained and the towels felt like sandpaper. A lot of unhoused folks around the property. No worth the $$ We couldn’t find any where else in the vicinity to stay.

There was a roach in the room

Great room quality, very quiet. Reservations, extended twice, went smoothly. Diner nearby & walkable; coffee & oatmeal in lobby convenient.

The hotel is located near interstate 87 and just past the Mario Cuomo Bridge, which is convenient. The hotel itself, particularly the customers aren't the typical customers one would find at a hotel. The rooms themselves are not attractive. The rooms have no warmth whatsoever.

A somewhat shabby hotel, room was clean but mattress extremely saggy, noisy location. Kitchenette is useless: it has a stove, microwave and small stove but doesn’t have a way to boil water (not even a pot), make tea or coffee, or serve reheated food: there are no utensils or plates or bowls. Some kind of construction was underway on the third and seventh floors, so noisy from 8am to 5pm. Closest restaurants and bars are a mile or so away...

I love the fact that each room is like a little studio apartment and you have a big refrigerator with the convenience of a sink and stove if you need it. The rooms are very spacious. They could use a little help with their cleaning, especially the floors.

The TV did not work hotel staff was unable to fix until the next day and they said they could not give me a discount because I used Hotels.com - I guess I should not use Hotels.com Will Hotels.com give me a discount?

Clean room. Need to improve internet. Very spotty or unavailable. Not good for working conditions on business trips.

Its great to have a kitchenette. Room was a good size and clean. Quiet area plus it had laundry room in The lobby. Checking in was smooth and front desk was very helpful.Will definitely recommended and come stay again.

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay! We stayed here to attend Undiscovered Relam Comic Con at the Westchester County Center (7 minute drive). We didn't end up using the kitchenette, but it was really nice to have the large fridge for our drinks. The biggest perk was being walking distance from Eldorado Diner. Its open 24 hours and the food was really good! Huge menu, breakfast served all day, and very quick service. We got dinner here both nights. Caution, if walking you do need to cross multi-lane road. Also, right beside gas station with market and Dunkin. Overall, our room was cozy and we had a nice stay!

Quick and efficient check-in from a helpful and polite employee. Room was spacious and clean. Everything worked. But..... free wifi was 1990s speeds, feel free to upgrade for $1.99/hour. Want a coffee maker? Feel free to rent... Extended stay? Expecting a couple dishes and maybe a pot or pan? Feel free to rent..... The room came with ONE disposable plastic cup. Breakfast in the morning? Ha! Coffee you could see the bottom of the cup through along with a selection of blueberry or chocolate chip muffins. Servicing your room? Go down to the desk and beg for fresh towels. IF they provided the basics - without addon charges, this would be a good place to stay. As is, pay the other guys a little more up front and make your stay livable.

I didn't actually get to stay at the property, because they had themselves so horrendously overbooked on multiple 3rd party websites, listing rooms they didn't actually have available, that they were not able to honor my reservation. And then when they called they just told me to go figure it out myself. That alone demonstrates such a degree of gross negligence that I would never consider attempting to rebook there again. What else are they forgetting about? Basic Housekeeping? Laundering Bedsheets? Sorry, I won't stick around to find out.

There were 4 big roaches in my room. I went down twice to see if I could get a room change. Staff was kind but unhelpful. They were fully booked so there was no where else for me to go. I was staying there one night and spent in my my car in the parking garage. When I asked about a refund the staff members mentioned the night before while checking out the next day, lady at reception was upset I asked and curtly told me to call Expedia and figure it out myself. I also had hives and allergies act up from all of the dust due to their renovation. They should fix those conditions before allegedly completely booking up the whole hotel.

The front desk people last night and this am were just terrific helpful and so nice. The cleaning staff was lovely. Just a great place. Quiet and safe and clean

This hotel was great for our overnight trip. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was quiet and we had a peaceful night's sleep. Would highly recommend! Special thanks to Jon, who made check in an easy process!

Excellent, friendly staff at this hotel.

Every single staff member we met was above and beyond friendly and helpful. We were between apartments for a couple of days with our cats. The property looks old, but is clean. The staff is why I would recommend this hotel.

Tried to check in after a long day and the woman at the front desk didn't know how to check me in and had the nerve to tell me there's no funds on my card. After being frustrated just left to pay a higher rate at a different location.

Staff at check in were very professional, friendly and informative and helpful. They were the best!

What I did not like about this hotel was my room smelled like cat pee and your front desk “Erica” was disgustingly rude with zero customer service experience. Continued to hang up with me for asking a question and conducts herself very poorly for your business. I will never stay with you guys again thanks to Erica’s (front desk lady) out bursts and horrible customer service.

Easy to get in/out

I was a little bit skeptical at first because of all the bad reviews the hotel got in the past but I have to say it was clean. It was quiet. The staff were very pleasant and besides not having a pool I would go there again when I want to be in Zen mode and just do me and relax cuz it's definitely a good environment for that. I give him five stars

Nice location right near highway! Mobile gas station right next door to buy water snacks. Stop & shop accross the street.

Room was clean. Parking deck was a little smelly and people smoke out back there so tobacco and marijuana smoke drifted up to room air conditioner. No ice machine, refrigerator compressor in room was old and noisy, screens in window were ripped. Grab and go breafast was just packaged muffins that I dont like. Coffee was good.

Basic non luxurious accommodations. Kitchen in suite but have to ask for plates and utensils. Very minimal breakfast - coffee and a wrapped muffin, nothing else. Diner across the street.

We were satisfied with the overall stay, we were very disappointed that they advertised breakfast, and there was no such thing. Breakfast consisted of coffee or tea and muffins.

Bare bones. Bathroom sink and tub were clogged and never fixed. No wifi. Breakfast was just coffee on 1st morning and nothing at all available the 2nd day.

Hotel was fine but advertised as having free breakfast. After booking room received notice that breakfast was grab and go. Breakfast was 6 to9, at 8:20, only 1 granola bar and 2 envelopes of instant oat meal available, no coffee. Will never stay at extended stay again. Breakfast near by cost $60 for the 3 of us with tax and tip besides costing us 45 minutes in travel time

It was okay, not great. No shampoo, conditioner in the hotel. Also it smells even though non smoking. Breakfast just coffee and muffins. No hot breakfast. Room was okay. I do not think i will stay again here.

The property was good. Need to work on breakfast. No cereal, milk or juice. Only coffee and tea. Love the fact they there was plenty of parking. Will definitely come back.

Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, good price, highly recommended for a shorter stay. Breakfast is just coffee, oatmeal, and some prepackaged muffins but there is local breakfast options.
