Room was clean. Beds very comfortable. Laminate flooring instead of carpeting. Staff was accommodating to open door when wanting access to break room for microwave use. No fridge or microwave in room. Facility currently under construction for modernization (older building). Very limited parking. Only 4 free parking spaces otherwise $16 daily for the remaining few.

The good: location. The not so great: parking is $20 per day. There is no fitness room, and no solution with a nearby gym. The bathroom has no vent or fan. The TV in our room didn't work, and none of us (including smart teenage techies) could get it working. The fire alarm (LOUD) went off at 0900 on Sunday morning for about 20 seconds, then went off with no explanation. The person at the front desk was the only employee we saw for much of our visit. That person was friendly, but we couldn't get extra towels, or valet key, or other asks in a timely manner, if they were busy - or not there (on a break?). We still haven't received our final bill, and we checked out 5 hours ago. None of this is awful, but I paid almost $1000 for two nights, and one would hope for a better experience.

I liked that the hotel s right across from the train station. I did not like the fact that there is a 15$ dollar valwt parking charge with only 10 spaces and if you choose to Park yourself its metered parking on the street in front of the hotel.

Elevator was not working we had to carry our luggage on steps. Elevator and hallways where dirty and the Terrace was dirty and it was stains of coffee or Liquors all over the balcony which could have been easily cleaned up with water but the staff refused to do that. The location was good for us.

The advertisement about parking is deceptive at best. They advertise “valet” but even if you park the care yourself, they want to charge you $19.00 per day. Valet parking…$19.00 per day. There is plenty of street parking (metered) and you receive 30 min per quarter. But, guess what, the front desk and valet refuse to give you quarters for the meters. So, bring plenty of quarters and don’t bother paying for parking. It’s not worth it. In terms of the rooms, overpriced and need serious modernization. For the price they are charging, you should expect better services whether quality towels or toiletries. They advertise a “restaurant on-site.” We arrived at 6pm on Friday and the restaurant had closed at 5:30. Very disappointing. The toilet in a room was small, more for children than adults. We stayed in room #202 which was at one end of the floor. It smelled musty and some of the light builds in the 5-6 lamps were not working. On a good note, the complimentary breakfast was good and the staff who served breakfast were kind and very nice. Otherwise, be careful, this hotel is across the street from the local rail station. This hotel is prob a 5 out of 10 with the price tag and lack of modern amenities/room as the worse problems.

It was terrible. It smelled horrible and the room was infested with bedbugs… cleaning crew were yelling at each other in the hallways like they were in the market. Horrible place. Do not stay there !

The staff were very friendly and polite. I’d give a 5 star review if it was just on staff. Unfortunately the hotel was very dirty. When I checked in at 6pm, housekeeping was still mopping the floors in the building with what smelled like a dirty mop!!! The elevator was FILTY!! The carpet looked as though it hadn’t ever been vacuumed. You could literally see the dust from the carpet in the air. I tried to take the stairs, but that was worse. The room I stayed in needed spackling and paint in the worst way. The bathroom was small so if you’re larger person or a tall man… don’t stay here as the door barley cleared the toilet when opening. The area around the hotel was nice, very accessible to many things you may need. Lastly, when I booked the room, it indicated a fridge and microwave in the room…. Not true. My stay was very disappointing, to say the least. I will not be rebooking at The Andrew.

I usually dont write negative comments, but this time is an exception. Firstly, there was multiple long hairs the bee spread and pillow. Dust all over the desk and coffee machine. Then I walk on the bathroom and there is hair in the bathtub Been trying to despute, and a manager was ,"not available". This is UNACCEPTABLE. The only good things about the hotel is the Persian restaurant next door Otherwise, I will not visit this hotel again.

Extremely loud! Can hear every sound in the hallway. The room was dirty, obvious multiple hairs from previous guests all over the bathroom. The restaurant they advertised only opens when they feel like it, there’s no lounge/bar. The foundation under the mattress is also loud if you move in bed. The duvet edges were stained (looked like makeup from never being washed). It was just really gross! Can’t say anything good about this place, except, location, if you need to be in Great Neck. Will never stay there again.

Bad first impression when hotel elevator door opened and the carpet on the elevator looks like it hasn’t been replaced since 1920. Dirty, worn, coming apart. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Not even the standard hotel breakfast. We called asking for items to the room two nights in a row (pillows, towels, etc) and nothing ever came, even after calling to check in. Will not return.

I expected more from this hotel. It started with getting a room where the heat wasn’t working, so we had to change rooms. The place is very noisy — you can hear everything going on outside on the street. The elevator clearly hadn’t been vacuumed; the same dirt that was there on the first day was still there six days later when we left. Overall, I won’t be coming back.

If you’re looking for somewhere relatively clean to lay your head without the bells and whistles, then this hotel does the job. The room was clean, but I kept sliding on the floors. There was no mini fridge, or safe. I spent one night there, woke up and had no hot water in the morning. I heard the shower running in another room, so I don’t know if that had any to do with it. The free breakfast was such a let down, I left without it. In one corner was a pile of about 10 empty pizza boxes, and several half drunk 2 liter soda bottles. They had 3 yogurts in the mini fridge and some juice in glass ewers. Tons of bagels. I paid $19 for valet parking. My vehicle was LITERALLY right in front of the hotel entrance. The staff was very polite and helpful, though.

Would not stay here again. Location was good, but didn't realize how outdated the property was when I booked it. You can't control the temperature and the heater was blasting all night, and I kept getting up to open the window and then closing it due to the sound of the train across the street. I usually like it very warm, so for me feel bothered, it has to be 1000x worse for others. The bathroom also had popcorn ceiling that had brown/black spots all over, and the vanity looked like it was 30 years old. The floors felt grimy as well, and I was glad it was only one night I had to stay there visiting a funeral from out of town. Only good thing was the location.

Room and bathroom was clean but paper thin walls. I could hear the entire conversation from the guest next door. Noise from bus depot across the street was annoying all hours of the night. For my 1 night stay it was ok.

First off, will say the location is amazing as it's across the street from LIRR. Hotel looks very promising on the outside, but the extremely bright 'discount store' overhead lights was a turn off, not very welcoming. The room size was great, simple and ok, however was a little tattered + bathroom small + dated. It was fine to crash for a night, but most likely will not return

1-waited 10 minutes at counter to check in. Could hear clerk in back room talking, once he came out, could see through the door that he was playing video games and was ignoring us. 2-after entering the room, no lights worked and telephone was unplugged. The guy in service at the front desk on the night shift, was unfriendly and lazy. He was always staying in the back and coming out, yawning, only when he had to and making me wait for several minutes. Not to mention he was laughing on the phone with some girl the first night. I asked for an extra towel as there were only two despite the fact we were 3 people checking in. His answer was: there are no towels. You can request them tomorrow after 9:00am. Only because he did not want to go and get one. The night before, the manager brought me one to the room. He also never mentioned anything about WiFi and especially told us the wrong room number! (He told us 310 instead of 406 so we had to go back to the front desk just for him to repeat the same unwelcoming behavior). Furthermore, the sink was not draining. Light bulbs not working. But, most of all, the included breakfast was extremely disappointing. The first day I went there, around 8:30am, there was nothing. Not even coffee! I had to request some and they made a fresh pot and brought some low quality croissant. The stay was not cheap and the hotel is overrated. It shows 3 stars but I would rate it 2 or 2.5 stars max! Will not go there again!

During our stay, we had asked for towels on three different occasions. We never got them from the staff. A storage room was open, and we got them there. Also during our stay, a front desk employee gave a room key to an another guest. A half hearted apology was received. The apology from the employee seemed to mean “please don’t escalate this situation and get me trouble.” The staff tried to push us out before our scheduled checkout due to other guests arriving. The condition of the room was also subpar. The shower drain was clogged and after a 5 minute shower, you were standing in ankle deep water. The location is awesome though. That is the only upside to this hotel. Definitely not worth the price we paid for the room.

Would not stay here again. Location was good, but didn't realize how outdated the property was when I booked it. You can't control the temperature and the heater was blasting all night, and I kept getting up to open the window and then closing it due to the sound of the train across the street. I usually like it very warm, so for me feel bothered, it has to be 1000x worse for others. The bathroom also had popcorn ceiling that had brown/black spots all over, and the vanity looked like it was 30 years old. The floors felt grimy as well, and I was glad it was only one night I had to stay there visiting a funeral from out of town. Only good thing was the location.

The hotel is very convenient to catch the train into NYC. Willy (parking attendant) is very friendly. I wish there were a few more breakfast options with regards to protein- even peanut butter to spread on bagels would be good. I would definitely stay there again.

First off, will say the location is amazing as it's across the street from LIRR. Hotel looks very promising on the outside, but the extremely bright 'discount store' overhead lights was a turn off, not very welcoming. The room size was great, simple and ok, however was a little tattered + bathroom small + dated. It was fine to crash for a night, but most likely will not return

The breakfast is only on the weekend and after seeing the small room it's in. I can understand why. After sightseeing all day, we arrived to the room after 5:30 and the room was still not cleaned. After the 2nd time, we just asked for clean towels. Interesting enough. Our room was ready when we arrived for our stay. Lots of great restaurants and stores in the area. The train station is across the street. Only half an hour from Laguardia airport.

TV didn't work, but fix was on schedule of the desk clerk who was only person to fix the inoperable elevator. Meanwhile, the attached restaurant was an ongoing festival of Persian high-jinks that included a fashion show, teenage indifference and an overburdened staff. Restaurant bar? No way in the frenzy. Back in the room, took three days for my cat to chill, versus 2 hours at a Marriott the next day. I'm sure the Andrew has good intentions but lack of investment in the infrastructure and staffing makes it ungodly tired and just depressing.

Parking was a bit of a nightmare tbh. Not many food options in the vicinity. Next time I will definitely spend a little more and stay at a different hotel.

The breakfast was disappointing, all carbs, no eggs, fruit, or yoghurt. They had bagels, some non-descript pastries, cereal and instant oatmeal. A pancake machine, but no pancake batter. I skipped the breakfast even though I was looking forward to it. The room for breakfast was all folding chairs. The bed initially was comfortable, it had a topper on it. But after lying on it, it became crumpled. The sheets were very clean and smelled like bleech as did the shower curtain. The main room was nice. The bathroom looked like it needed a refresh. The grout looked unsealed and you could see how it became lighter under the sink area. Tub / shower area had a bit of mildrew on the tile groat, and you could see how the grout was lighter by the ceiling compared to lower. Half an inch of rust around the counter sink nobs. The bathroom door looked wornout chips and stuff. They gave you a small bottle of shampoo but no conditioner. I didn't know the place was pet friendly until there was a barking dog or dogs for a while. I was only there for 1 night. One of the workers held a door for me but before I could get out my thank you, he was like very aggressively saying to me "your welcome" as if I wouldn't say thank you which I always do.

Naomi and Michael were terrific. The train is a three minute walk. Citifield is about 5 stops and Penn Station is about 40 minutes. The neighborhood is comfortable with tons of restaurants.

Noise was awful people standing outside below our room smoking till 245 am very loud. Then at 630am garbage truck came and emptied out 7 or 8 dumpsters taking a half hour. So nice sleep from 3am till 630am . Sucked !
