Red Roof Inn Binghamton - Johnson City

The property is very dated but adequate. When you are traveling with dogs you just can\'t expect to say in 5 star hotels. Besides I wouldn\'t want to pay the price for that. I think The grounds might stay a little cleaner if they put a container for cigarette butts containers and a few signs that read "Please clean up after your pet"

The room was not seviced after the first day. Towels were insuficient. Cleanliness was "acceptable" but the room decor and atmosphere was "cold". Parking was adequate but snow fell both nights and was not removed. The location. Near shopping was convenient. The need for a security deposi was a surprise... i will be waiting vigilantly for its return.

It was so warm and friendly. All the comforts of home . I traveled to Binghamton Red roof my first experience and I will definitely choose them again. I needed the handicap room and it was so helpful to park a few feet from the door of the room.

Ample parking Noisy at times from shared wall with room next door

Room was comfortable and reasonable for an economy hotel. There was some wear and tear that showed, especially in the bathroom. However, I would definitely stay here again and plan to on my next visit in a few weeks. I appreciate a facility that so easily accommodates my dog.

You had a couple of deer across the street which was really neat. Unfortunately the ice machine was broken, I could have really used that ice on my trip.

Quick trip to Binghamton for personal reasons, needed to extend my trip an extra night and staff was helpful. Nice to have a hotel where the dog can stay without hassle.

It was dirty and run down. Bedding was stained

Bugs in bed. Talked to other people staying there and they also had bed bugs. So I asked for a refund on the night instead because I checked out at 7pm since I refused to sleep in a bed with bed bugs. I was told that since it was 7pm and not 6pm they refused any compensation. I basically should’ve found the bed bugs sooner. Yes another room was offered, but if I along with other guests all had bed bugs I can assume the new room would too.

Unfortunately, wasn’t very clean. Hallways, stairs were dirty. Bed sheets were stained everywhere.

The room was run down and filthy. The bathroom was horrible. Fixtures falling off, dust and dirt build up in the heating and air conditioning unit. The room had a terrible smell.

While the room was somewhat clean, the bedding and towels were stained and ripped. Very sketchy people were hanging out in the parking lot, and one guy was changing the tires on two cars. We paid for two nights, but left after one.

Once we came in the room there was yellow stains on the sheets from both beds, towels weren’t clean, sink had no running water, the floors were extremely dirty, ROACHES inside the fridge, on the wall, & bath tub. There was a horrid smell coming from the room. Overall would not recommend unless you’re comfortable with spending the night in a cheap unsanitary place.

Quiet, clean room, close to everything

Very clean updated rooms with easy motel style outdoor access. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and very reasonable price.

We stayed in room 234. Very dirty. Bathroom was discusting!! Paint chipping off the tub. Dirtyshower and walls. A plunger on a piece of toilet paper on the floor. The whole floor in the room was stickyWOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO HELP ME GET A REFUND! Posting pictures below😡😡

ONLY the electricity and AC worked in this room. WiFi didn’t work, TV didn’t work, phone in room didn’t work and toilet ran every 20-30 minutes all night long! Front desk staff was nonchalant about problems. Manager was non-existent!

Beds were very uncomfortable in fact terrible to sleep in. They need new mattresses

There was no mini fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, only enough towels for 1 person to get a shower, the tub was painted and chipped all over, there was a leak between the toilet and the shower, there was free WiFi but it barely worked, couldn’t go into a Netflix account or anything on the tv, not many channels, people were getting high outside, heater was very loud and kept waking us up. For what I paid for the room it should have been a lot nicer.

My stay at Red Roof Inn Binghamton - Johnson City was pleasant overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with modern amenities. However, the WiFi signal was disappointingly weak, which was a drawback for staying connected. Despite this, the hotel's convenient location and friendly service make it a decent choice for a short stay.

No Wi-Fi

The place was a wreck especially the bathroom. It’s the only place in our 3 weeks of travel that didn’t have a microwave or little fridge. Wifi only worked outside.

Was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a mini fridge in the room, but I look at the hotel accommodations that closely.

The room, fridge, etc. were all very clean. I stayed for about 5 days. The mattress was awful. They said they were unable to switch. I had to buy a mattress pad. I have to mention the housekeeping staff. They were wonderful. They stopped every day, did I need towels, bags, soap. Always smiling. As a disabled traveler with a dog and mobility scooter, this was a big benefit to me. I do wish they would clean up all the garbage around their property. The front looks nice, but we walk our dogs around the whole property. The view from their back property is spectacular! You get the sunset, the highway, etc. I grew up here. They should promote it and that B.J.'s, Wegman's and Dunkin Donuts are all less than 1/4 mile from their property!

The chair was broken at the desk in my room, and the mattress was worn out was not firm at all

The room was clean. That was the good new. Here is what we had to contend with. 1. We could not get the TV remote to work. They replace the remote. We kept getting "Program not available." When my son came he was able to work it. Why make the tech so unfriendly. 2. No hair dryer. I had to go to the desk and get one, which worked. I returned right after I used it. 3. I made reservation for 3. We had towels for 2. Had to get more towels from the office, which they had. 4. Getting the room cleaned apparently not available. We spent the day painting a house. Came back to hotel and the room had not been cleaned. The next morning, I went to the desk to ask that the room be cleaned with new towel. I wanted 4 towels (one for my hair that I had to get the blow dryer for). Came back to the hotel after a full day of painting and the room had not been serviced! (I had a tip on the pillow if they did do the room) We came back after a long day of hard hot work to room not clean. 5. Coffee/tea only in the lobby, not in the room. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The room was clean. Front desk personal were pleasant. That was all it offered.

Always courteous and friendly. Room is clean and well maintained. Cleaning staff is always willing to do whatever is necessary to help. Management is great to communicate with before, during, and after the stay

Front Desk was very Friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice location close to highways and mall. Will be back!

Love this hotel and the staff

Very friendly staff at checking in, comfortable bed and clean room. This hotel was the best of three that we stayed at during our recent road trip.

It was horrible we asked for clean towels and wash clothes twice for 2 days...they never cleaned it took the garbage out of the room all weekend

Great customer service

First off, staff working was fine no issues there. Multiple times during our stay, we had to get issued new keys because our original ones would malfunction a lot, and it would be an inconvenience since other people staying made it uncomfortable or unsafe and the last thing we needed was our keys not working. Also needing to go to the lobby for my towels and items to use the showers, and being told to bring them back after we used them, was odd. Noticed blankets and sheets were not cleaned, holes in the bathroom and other parts of the room.

Front counter guy was very nice and helpful I believe he is the morning person.

This place is pretty bad. Sketchy long term people hanging out all around the parking lot. Only thing the FD staff said to me was if I want to smoke, smoke by the guardrail....which is right where the party was all night from the long terms. Dead beetles on the floor, dead bugs in bathroom. Toilet barely flushed. Cracked outer glass window. Blood looking splatter on the sheets. TV never worked. Had booked 2 nights and left after 1.If I had been travelling alone, I would have left and slept in my car.

Red roof inn? More like the caved roof inn. The bathroom door had visble patched holes in it, the floor boards were cracked and coming apart, the shower was absolutely horrid. There was hair, dirt and bugs in the shower that I had to clean out myself. There was barely any water pressure coming out of the shower head. Beds were not comfortable. Curtains were falling off the tracks and were very worn. The front desk was dissmissive and not helpful. My son left his lovey + stuffed animal behind and when I called they said "they didnt find it" after not calling back for 2 hours. (I had to call them again) and then they just hung up on me. Overall- I would not recommend unless you are desperate. I would much rather sleep in my car then to ever stay here again.

The staff was great and the room was clean. I love the view of the Pennsylvania mountains south of the hotel. Between the mall and Wegmans, everything I needed was right there, conveniently located right off 17.

I have stayed here a few times and it has always been clean and convenient. It is a quick 8 minute drive to Binghamton University. Very convenient and great price.

Such a pleasant surprise. Nice, quiet location near eateries and mall in nicer part of town. Excellent staff, fast wifi and ample parking. Clean and comfortable room. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money.

Awful. The corridors (which are outside) reek of marijuana smoke. Men were hanging out outside their rooms drinking. As a woman staying alone with my teenage son, I felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. And then at 5:00 AM we were woken up by loud music and ridiculously loud talking. So we just checked out and left. Stay somewhere else, this place is horrendous.

Conveniently located in a quiet place away from the noise despite being close to freeway and shopping places. Friendly staff that helped me carry my luggage to room. Good value for money. Will stay again.

We've stayed at the Red Roof Inn for one night at the way from Montreal, QC to Charlotte, NC. The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the highway. Pretty well maintained, looking good. The check in was fast and easy. In the room everything was pretty good, except the beds. We're four of us at two double beds. And it was pretty small for two people to sleep. Air conditioning with big under window unit was working. But the control of it was not easy, control panel has been damaged. And it was a bit noisy, periodically. At the morning we've asked for hair dryer at the office, and it was available. We've took some coffee in the office, took our breakfast and go further. By the price/quality it's 2-3 mark. If the price was lower, it could be perfect.

The faucet near the sink was loose and water was leaking all over the countertop so I could not turn it on full. Also, the coffee maker was missing the tray to make coffee so that started my day off on a bad note. Otherwise, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Great food and shopping options nearby.

I did not like the condition of the property. Although the rooms were decent yet small, the outside conditions were pretty poor and in dire need of an update. First impression made me uneasy. and the wooden stairs leading up to the 2nd floor rooms were rotting. But what really perplexed me was that there were no coffee pots in the rooms! I had to get dressed and walk to front desk, only to be told the coffee was not ready at 6:10 am and to come back. Also there were only 2 bath towels for a double room with a family of 3.

Disappointed: Bed mattress dirty, no continental breakfast, Bo fridge, no microwave and no coffee machine. Appreciated: rest room clean and awesome shower head.
