Super 8 by Wyndham Johnstown/Gloversville

I think the parking area was just fine.

The place was easy to find with ample parking. Decent price. Room was small but clean. The chain lock on the door was broken and they didn't have another room to move us to. We were very close to the front desk and there is a good bolt lock on the door so we didn't worry about the missing chain lock. Staff was friendly

Not at all what I expected. A hand towel in bathroom was dirty. No closet or bureau. Flying bugs in the bathroom. Breakfast: the plastic knife provided would not split a bagel or english muffin....bent and broke...and was too flimsy to even spread the butter. The friends i met there from other states had requested assessible rooms as they have mobility issues, but were given rooms on the 3rd floor. No elevator or carts to bring luggage in was not good.

Room was clean - parking was convenient

The bed was comfortable, there is no elevator we are older so was very hard carrying suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, the check in guy told me to go down the hall and up he didn’t say no elevator, he sent me to the opposite end of where my room was , breakfast was literally bagels, toast and some cake donuts, coffee

Very old and under kept. Exterior lighting all went off for the day at 545am. It was very dark and dangerous without lighting. HVAC stinks like mold/mildew. No screens in some windows. Apparently most rooms stink cause many windows were open. Skimpy continental breakfast with poor choices. I wouldn’t recommend.

Good variety of restaurants in the area to choose from to eat. The best part was the service, the gentleman at the front desk made us feel welcomed and appreciated. He happily did his best to accommodate any requests and clarifications we had.

Nice hotel. Easy parking and in and out.

Parking lot and walkways were all ice. Spoke to attendant and he said the people that took care of that did not show.my question is why attendant could not jys put ice melt done for more tfan 20 feet fr door if that. Room above us were noisy all night not able to sleep at all.

The room itself was clean but the air conditioner was very dirty. Upon turning it on, it blew dark debris on the bed. When shutting off, the front panel fell off and I could see how dirty the inside was. I reported it to the front desk and he told me that the air conditioners had just been cleaned. I work in building operations for my job and based on the work that they completed, if it was done, you need to hire somebody else to clean your air conditioners. They did not do a good job. It was a humid weekend and the air conditioner was not able to be used. Front desk staff members were pleasant.

Wasn't expecting a lot. Chunks of lint on the carpet and a lot of dust on things.

The place is a dump. Lost power for hours. Ac spewed mold

I have stayed at this Super 8 motel in Johnstown several times on my way down to visit my cousin in Connecticut. The room is always extremely clean and staff very friendly. I highly recommend it. Great value for money.

Room and bathroom were spotless and very clean and it was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable had a great night sleep. Complimentary breakfast was decent.

Smoke alarm was hanging from wires in the ceiling. Bathrooms need grab ba r s since no treads in tub. Was a quiet place but needs some basic updates.

Good value. Beds adequate but not great. A few problems were that the refrigerator compressor was very noisy and kept waking us up, even when turned down to lowest setting. Bathroom light was overly dim. Room light dim. TV offerings for children not adequate- could have at least offered PBS Kids.

I don’t know where to start. I had booked online a room with 2 queen sized beds. My plane was delayed, so they wouldn't let my sister in law check in before me at 3:00. She had the credit card no I used and the confirmation no. So she went to dinner and came back and another clerk let her check in. What they gave us was a tiny cramped room right next to the noisy lobby with 1 double bed. The room was very dark. No closet, just a rack next to the bed. There was only one small desk lamp on the desk and that was it. No lamps on bedstands, not even an overhead light. No mirrors, except for bathroom. The bathroom was quite large, clean and bright. Only problem was the large mold spots on ceiling over shower. There was asmall window that led in very little light. Plus, the chain lock on the door was broken, leaving us feeling vulnerable. When we complained, they said that was the only room available. Unfortunately, we had a funeral the next day, so were stuck there since nothing else around was available. Imagine 2 women trying to get ready in the morning with no lights and no mirrors. Maybe other Super 8 motels are better, but I would never recommend this one.

The shower and the TV were broken. Other than that the stay was all right and served its purpose for my weekend. The breakfast in the morning is very basic starch and coffee.

The place is very clean, and although there's no place to sit at breakfast, there was coffee and bagels. However, in the rooms, there's no closet, nor drawers on night stands. The only mirror is the one by the faucet. It didn't provide an iron. While we only went there to sleep, it would've been nice to have these other amenities. Overall, in the future if we find other options, we'll take them.

Noisy air conditioner

This is an older hotel in a small town. It was clean and the staff was very nice. The beds were comfortable, but the room was small. there wasn't a security latch on our door and we forgot to put do not disturb sign out. Maid started to walk in.

The HVAC in the room was so loud that it was impossible to hear the TV at normal sound levels. Also, the hotel was very overpriced for the quality of the room. I will never stay at Super 8 again.

Parking was easy and apparently secure since I did not have a break in. Room was bare bones. No place to hang clothes. No drawers. Bathroom was nearly half the room. As the first room past the front desk it was noisy until late into the night. I could hear the people above me. There wasn't an ice bucket nor a coffee maker in the room which was disappointing. Breakfast was sparse. No jam or jelly for the muffins only butter. Coffee was drinkable. Staff was friendly. If I return to Johnstown I will stay at a different motel.

The property is safe, quiet and clean.The reception is cordial.

Very convenient I wish the staff was able to work with me as I traveled with my toddler they didn’t let me do late check out on a rainy cold day and my train didn’t arrive for hours later .. that sucked

A pretty quiet area with several dining places and shops. Liked the town very much. What we didn't like was the mice in the room and the room next door.

The hotel was just what I needed and was close to a historic home I had never visited, so on the spur of the moment i went there.

Late-night check-in staff was very friendly and funny. The room left a lot to be desired: positives: linens were clean, and furniture has been recently upgraded. Negatives: room smelled of a "previously a smoking room". Walls are so thin, could hear the neighbour snoring most of the night. Also heard a mouse squeaking and chewing on something, not sure if it was in the walls or the room itself. Strange gross stain on the ceiling. Bathroom tub didn't drain well. Bathroom walls had brown streaks and peeling paint. "Breakfast" is basically a coffee bar. We needed a bed for the night, so we stayed, but will definitely not go back again.

Hotel was clean. Room is basic with frig, micro, office desk and chair. Dunkin and grocery store within 1/4 mile. Breakfast was spartan with just muffins and bagels, orange juice and coffee from a machine. Staff was pleasant.

The people were nice but the hotel did not provide much. There is no elevator so there is no way to get up people in wheelchair or rollator. The toaster is not working well. There is no breakfast it is just bagels and english muffins so it is misleading. Also I am pretty sure the Queen was a full size bed. I have a queen at home and it is bigger than the bed in our room.
