This is a great hotel for the casual traveler. If you are traveling with kids, even better (I was not). Nice size clean rooms, great breakfast room with good food choices and best for me, 24 hour coffee availability. Workout center and a business center.

Unfortunately if you're on a lower floor you can hear EVERYTHING people above you are doing. If you happen to get lucky and have people up until 3AM walking around and slamming doors and drawers like me I'm sorry. I checked in at 1AM and there was no bell to ring so I stood around awhile until someone came to the front. There's no pool or hot tub and the breakfast sucks. The only hot food that have are waffles.

Wonderful hotel. Welcoming staff and they had warm chocolate chip cookies at check in, coffee and tea in the guest breakfast area 24/7. The room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Great value and I highly recommend if in Johnstown, NY

The place was clean, close to things, lots of parking, friendly staff. The shower was excellent, very good water pressure and nice even flow. The key card works every time, some hotels or motels I’ve stayed at, it’s hit or miss whether it works or not. I would stay here again although the price was on the high side. Breakfast was included although it was all carbs on the offering, no bacon and eggs. I opted out and went looking for a Denny’s, found one in Schenectady.

In our view, it appeared to be the best hotel in the area. Maybe not. Hotel room was small, but was comfortable and clean, and location was good in Johnstown, NY. Odor on the first afternoon was pretty bad on the 2nd floor hallway, but not in the room fortunately. Hotel staff sprayed air freshner but that only partially hid the odor. Breakfast was good, coffee was too strong, juice machine was not good the first day and out of order the second. Had to ask for spoons one day, no complimentary water, and the ice machines on 1st and 2nd floors were out of order. Staff were very busy but seemed to be nice enough and accomdating.

Everything was fine until I got up during the night. I am a 'night person'. The bathroom had small black bugs crawling around. I got rid of several but there were more when I went back again. Not a good feeling to have them there.

Had to wait at the front desk for almost 20 minutes to check in. I had to call from the lobby to get someone to come to the desk. Check out was the same way. Bedsheets were gritty from dirt. The tub faucet dripped all night and the tub was clogged so definitely don’t attempt to shower..

Furnishings were clean and new. Staff was friendly. From inside room I could hear voices of people in hall or other rooms, but that is almost always the case. Breakfast was pretty good - a little carb-heavy and fruit-light.

Conveniently located on Comrie Ave, walkable to local shops. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Small rooms for 3-4 people to share. Front Desk was friendly. Great spot while in town visiting relatives. Friday night crowd -hallway smell like weed and could smell it in our room through the closed door. We stayed 2 different weeks-didn't have this happen the first week. We didn't have any, but there's complimentary breakfast items included with the room as well. If you want a pool, try the Holiday Inn. Microtel is more economical.

It is a MicroTel and so efficiency is the name of the game - I get it. However. the bed absolutely dominated the room and made walking around difficult for my wife and I. I would have preferred lamps next to the bed instead of the recessed lighting and outlets to plug items into at bedside. There was only one outlet beside the bed and it was very hard to reach. The shower was roomy and I liked that the shower head was adjustable. Having a fridge was handy for water and juice. The hotel was generally very quiet for most of my stay - there was one night when my neighbors in the adjoining room argued loudly but that was it. The TV had an HDMI input but no option to allow my laptop to share the screen could be found on the remote. Parking in the back was super convenient - there were some people digging through the dumpster next to the building one night but that was the only time things were weird. Overall the property was quiet and safe. being right on Comrie Ave was super convenient for us to go to nearby Amsterdam, Gloversville and Route 29 to go towards Saratoga.

Arrived late around 1015pm and there was a man in front of me waiting to check in and we went in the lobby and to the counter and waited and waited. After 5 minutes we started caller for help and knocking on near by staff doors and we had to literally wait over 15 minutesuntil someone arrived and she appeared to potentially be high and she never apoligized to the man in front of me or to me for her being unavailable. Other than that it was a good stay

Tried to check in, we were a bit early, it was around 1:15 pm. We were not even greeted with a "hello" or a "good afternoon". When we went to the front desk to check in, I said that we reserved online and we here to check in, the response was, "you're way too early, your room isn't ready" without even looking us up in the system. We left, and came back to the hotel to check in at around 2:30, the room still wasn't ready as they were just cleaning it. Overall, the place just seemed unorganized and poorly run.

When I arrived to check in, I stated that I needed to extend my stay by a day (leave Thursday instead of Wednesday). They couldn't accomidate me in the same room, which I understood, and told me to check out of my first room Wednesday morning and into my second room at the same time. Instead of what I requested, the front staff booked me a second room for Tuesday night and then tried to charge me a no-show fee on Wednesday morning when I went to switch rooms. I had also requested a room of the same cost, which they said they could do, then placed me in a more expensive room and charged me fully for it. I had been in town for a funeral and was too exhausted to fight it when I noted. Overall the service seemed shady.

This was not a pleasure trip. My mother in law passed away and we needed a place to stay. John the manager went over and above to accommodate our needs. The staff was most helpful too.

It was conveniently located near the Fonda Fair grounds. Staff was friendly everything was modern and clean. Perfect for what we were looking for which was a place to crash after a long day at the Rodeo. We will be back in two weeks!

Bottom line, we were there for 2 nights...8/5 to 8/7 Our check-in was flawless, the desk clerk she was very kind, informative, and helpful... The hotel was very nice and very clean... The room was very clean and comfortable... The only think we found OK was the continental breakfast... The Coffee was great though... Overall we will be back in November and can't wait ... We will also refer the hotel to friends and family... Thank you!!!
