Hilton Garden Inn Nanuet

The jacuzzi was not hot. I reported from the pool on the red phone and no one came. I then asked for towels but they were in drier so I had to go to the room wet. That was second day. The housekeeper never knocked on door to collect or do any clean up the entire stay. On Monday the jacuzzi worked again on Monday? After another patron asked for help with the jacuzzi. I come here all the time and was shocked to see that the staff were not as courteous and the jacuzzi is my favorite spot while the kids play in the pool. After a lot of personal struggles all I wanted was that jacuzzi!!!!

the room itself wasn't beautiful or anything- but it was nice enough. the staff were attentive, friendly and kind. the pool was nice ( hot tub out of commish, but thankfully the pool was warm enough to go in) it was a great stay- thank you!

The staff at the HGI was nice, but it could not mask the deterioration of the area around the hotel and the broken elevator and pool. HGI is doing its best in a challenging environment and we applaud them for that.

The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. The pool we wouldn’t swim in because there were huge rust spots in several areas. There was no parking. We had to park away and walk in the dark to get to it. There was a dog in a few rooms over that kept barking.

Everything was ok toilet was broken keep running all night and jacuzzi was dirty

Great Hotel, kind staff, very clean. Fitness center was lacking quite a lot. Only had elliptical, bike and treadmill and the stationary bike did not work. Pool and hot tub were great. Elevators did not work during our stay. The room was nice, only issue was poor lighting, all ese was great.

The pool water was extremely cold

The staff was excellent but the pool was a disappointment. Looked so much bigger in the pictures online.

I like the parking lot. The gym is too small. Toilet door in 208 need to be fixed.

I thought the hotel was adequate for a night stay. The room was adequately clean. Hallways and elevator could use a deep cleaning or carpet replacement. One elevator was out of service. Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our room when they were over sold. Overall a good stay.

We needed a place to sleep for the night we were not expecting luxury at all but a minimum of cleanliness and a minimum of service ...the hotel is old and looks really depressing..the room was "fine " not nore than that ..the batbroom was not clean hair on the floor very rundown but the worst part is the smell ..smelled like weed the whole time all night it was really nasty The elevator and hallway smelle of weed and cigarettes the whole hotel is just not deserving of any rating its just not nice and definitely not a place i would recommend to anyone and definitely not a place i would return to

Smelled like powder and cleaning supplies. Almost like they were trying to cover up something. The room was very run down. The bathroom was a disaster. I had to wear flip flops in the shower. It was disgusting and falling apart. The bathroom floor was cracked and dirty looking. The walls were crumbling in the entire room and the carpet smelled like something happened in there and it was being covered up with powder. Very hard to sleep with the smells!! I actually can’t believe this was a Hilton

Room was extremely dirty. Floor was covered in water from the mini fridge. Room smelled like a shoe box. Definitely the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at

Room was not cleaned properly, we found hair strands in the tub and a cigarette butt in the bed under side of mattress. The breakfast they serve is not worth the money they charge. The staff we encounter were all nice.

Fairly convenient location. Staff greeted us, was polite and helpful. Lobby was nice but hallways and rooms are dingy and dated. The carpeting was stained and old looking. Staff vacuumed the hallways on our floor at 8:30 pm when we were trying to sleep. Bed was okay (too soft for my preference). Road and train noise was noticeable, but once we turned on the fan, it drowned the outside noise out. In room Keurig coffee was appreciated. Plenty of on-site parking at no additional charge.

The curtains were very thin. Lights from the parking lot next door were terrible. When the sun rose all the light came as well. Otherwise a pretty normal hotel experience....not bad

Staff was professional and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean! Well stocked, toiletries good and smell nice :). Location is very convenient, next to highway exit. My only constructive criticism is they need to change the carpets throughout. Hallways and elevators look old because of this. The rest of the hotel is clean, looks updated. I would stay there again :)

It was sort of convenient. Upon arrival when we entered our room the toilet wasn't working. We asked for another room and they wanted to send a maintenance person and we told them no we wanted another room. I had to call the desk 3 times because the wifi wouldn't work. I ended up going down to the desk so they could connect it. The shower had only the shower to be turned on. There was no way to regulate it before entering.

Hour wait to get into room not accommodation very disappointed

We booked a suite through Expedia, when checking in, we were told there are no suites. With a family of 3, and a family of 2(a separate booking) we had to split rooms with kids. We were never notified prior to arrival of this information. This was not very good service or communication.

Group had a huge party on the first floor and we could hear music all night. Then about 3 am they went to their rooms on our floor (2nd) and carried on until 5 am,Screaming, hollering, just being loud. We called the front desk but they seemed to show little interest in having them quiet down. Very long night, with little to no sleep

Front desk people are great very helpful and very polite! Been there 3 times and booked again for November business trip.

Staff wasn’t very friendly when we arrived

Was supposed to have complimentary breakfast with my package. Day one I was told no by Dorothy. Then once breakfast was over I was told that I did. Then the following day I spoke with Dorothy again. She never offered me an apology for her mistake but still told me no. Once I reminded her that Expedia confirmed with her the previous day that I had free breakfast she decided to use my choice if words against me. Said they don’t offer complimentary breakfast but they do offer free breakfast with some reservations. Is that not the same thing? Then on my last day of stay, my toilet was clogged. I called the desk and was asked if I wanted to come and get a plunger? Really?! I absolutely was not coming to get a community plunger to plunge their bathroom toilet. Anyway the room smelled. Found hair throughout the room that didn’t belong to me. It’s very outdated. If you have an option between this property and the Hampton Inn which is located right in front of this property, do not choose this one‼️

The fire alarm went off at 12am. The manager had no idea what to do! When the fire dept was still onsite, a guest told the manager the elevators needed a key to be reset and the manager said nothing to the fire department before they left, didn't know where the key was, just kept pushing elevator buttons. 15 minutes later on the phone with someone and still couldn't figure it out. By 1am my elderly mother had to walk up 4 flights of stairs in pain. The manager should know protocol for specific events. No explanation, no apology, no free breakfast and no decent night sleep!

Great location

Nice hotel, but a little tricky to find from the highway. You need to go in via a Hampton Inn and wend your way. It's not the end of the world.But a more prominent sign from the street would be helpful.

Hotel is all the way in the back. Hard to find and area is not very friendly for pedestrians. Have some food around but nothing good.

Hard to find off of Rte 59, small driveway. I missed the turn several times.

Even though it's right next to a major highway which makes it very easy to get to, it's still a very quiet location.

Great and convenient location, just off the main highway and great restaurants in the area, but best of all you have an the amazing Rockland bakery 5 minutes away!!!

The hotel advertises a restaurant with bar. We planned to stay after a long days ride so we wouldnt have to go out to eat. The desk said the restaurant/bar was closed on Sundays….no notice at reservation or website. Disappointed in this HGInn

I had a great three night four day stay , the staff was amazing I have to point out one particular person Amelia who made my stay very pleasant she always went the extra mile for her customers and that speaks volumes in customer service. The food is delicious nice options for non meat eaters, I had a dish called grilled veggie primavera that was to die for it was so good 😊.

Maybe the worse continental breakfast I have ever had at a hotel

Front desk, check in and room were excellent. We have previously enjoyed staying here since the Dining room and bar WERE great. This bar/dining room visit was not up to past standards. We were first and only guests. We asked for a martini: were told by Hostess that the hotel didnt provide her with olives; I asked for a Manhattan and was told she didnt have bitters. We asked what do you have? She said these bottles a d pointed to about 8 liquor bottles. My spouse asked for a Gin & Tonic, received it in a plastic glass. I saw a bourbon bottle, asked for it straight up- it came in a stemless wine glass. RE menu, my husband needs gluten free. Hostess promptly stated that they don't do gluten free. We checked menu details: spouse ordered a caesar salad, no croutons; cheesesteak without the wheat bun. One person arrived at Bar ( now 3 guests] .I ordered the grilled salmon in a quinoa bowl. Dish came with grilled salmon on buttered rice, no quinoa. (A 4th person joined the Bar= 4 customers) My husband left for room. I awaited the check and waved to hostess. She waved me to come to bar to pay. I asked for her to come to me. She didnt, said she had customers (2 who were served and eating) i went to bar, paid bill, left minimum tip. I then went to front desk person &relayed our experience. Hostess arrived before I finished speaking, interrupted me and asked whats wrong. I ignored her and continued- she left Bar, with 2 guests, to chase me /argue.hostess & training was deplorable.

Charged for breakfast buffet but they didn’t have . Coffee that was out very cold. Charged extra for snack bar that wasn’t in the room.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating dinner and having drinks at the bar. Christina was awesome, great service and great conversation. Kevin made us great burgers! Second time there and will go back in the Spring during our travels to and from Florida and Cape Cod. Can’t forget Flavia’s professionalism as well.

I didn’t like the breakfast ! It wasn’t free and they all taste old
