They were doing renovations to the property as we checked in, so the pool and hottub were closed. The breakfast was in a storage room, there were no ice machines working, no coffee in rooms. The coffee was in front of the front desk. I know it wasnt the staffs fault but if your going to renovate a property then maybe you should tell the person acquiring a room that the amenities that you went there for are closed, then you could go somewhere else.

This is a really nice picture lace to stay while visiting Wauseon. However, there are a few things that after staying on and on every few weeks I have noticed some things aren’t being maintained. Treadmill has been out of order for about 3 or 4 months. Pancake machine had been out of order for about two months and one of the stairwells has bern blocked for about a month due to a water leak or something. These are things that don’t make for inconveniences but make me wonder what else isn’t being maintained that I don’t see.

The room was very dirty. Stains on the walls, mold in the shower and on the walls. Lipstick lip prints on the sheets on the bed. Very disappointed - on the upside upon checking out and saying something they did give us a discount of 50%

They say truck/rv/bus parking but then show up and they don’t actually have parking for pickup truck and trailer. Trash everywhere outside and then hallways were dirty and room was musty smelling and falling apart

The carpet and the upholstered furniture was stained and filthy. The bed had human fluid stains along the side. There were spiderwebs on the picture frames, and weird stains on the walls. The phone was broken, the security lock on the door was broken, the hot tub by the pool was broken, the pancake machine at breakfast was broken, our mini fridge didn’t work, and the jetted tub in our room was broken too. The room stunk like mold and mildew like dirty old sweaty shoes. We ended our vacation early and left as soon as we could!

The cost was really fair for the property. The room itself was nice, although it had some shoddy repairs. It had everything we needed, and it was nice to have the shampoo/wash already in the shower. It was clean and mostly comfortable, with the hotel offering a pair of firmer and softer pillows. The only issue we had was how hard the mattress was. We both woke up with stiff backs after only 6 hours of sleep.

We liked the room it was spacious and clean however the bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way. The Ice maker on the 3rd floor was not working and nothing could be fixed until Tuesday (january 2nd). The hot breakfast was not very hot due to the utensils resting in the pans instead of having small plates to lay them on. Although small the refrigerator in our room kept our drinks very cold.

Toilet was broken, had to open the tank to flush it, shower would not drain (very very slow), wasn’t gross or anything but also not that clean by regular hotel standards. I have stayed at similar properties for the same price or less and not had these issues. Rooms are pretty dated but that’s not really an issue for me.

Room was nice wanted a jetted tub/hot tub suite. 2am went to sit in hot tub to find that it didn't work. Just a giant tub in the room. When checking out said something to clerk who didn't seem to care at all. Won't be back

The woman that checked us in on Saturday night (8/17) was wonderful! Room was ok. When we were leaving the next morning I was going through the layers of bedding to make sure nothing was left behind and an earwig was in the bed! We then went down to breakfast where there was only enough pancake batter for one pancake & no hot water for tea. This was about 7:00 am, how could these things be out already? I stopped by the front desk to let them know about the earwig and that lady seemed to care less. I said just do your cleaning crew know to look for it and kill it so the next guest doesn’t find it. All she did was thank me for telling her, no apology or anything.

room 111 not clean, a pet friendly room with dog/cat hair in corners, bottle cap under bed... staff was friendly and accommodating there was construction closure at the exits off of i 80 that took us far away into unknown and unmarked detour. staff at hotel and a kind Wauseon native guided us in... would have been good to know ahead of time, the end a long journey is not a good time for surprises.

The HI Express was perfect for our purpose. We were driving to NJ from Chicago and needed a good night sleep. The check-in was easy and the room was comfortable. We might have appreciated another lamp in the room, but we made do. The breakfast was perfect.

The hotel was still in renovation work. The room was renovated and was comfortable and clean. Checkin warned us of things not avail due to the renovation. Breakfast was great with large selection of cold and hot food.
