What a great find! The variety of seating areas to have a drink or meal by the Deschutes River were so relaxing, lovely lanscaping, and not crowded feeling. A small thing, but the lavender local Bend soap was a nice treat too! We didn’t take advantage of the sauna or nice pool area, but we did enjoy drinks and several rounds of shuffleboard! Loved the board games and common area provided. Bed was very comfortable, and room temp great.

The room was great, clean and quiet. We enjoyed the pool. Only issue was when checking out they had my room at a higher price then quoted on Expedia. Luckily I had my receipt so they lowered the price for two of my nights, but not my third because I had added the third room later. Plus pay for parking. A resort fee everyday. Which increased everyday. So ended up costing way more than planned.

My biggest recommendation is to create adult hours for the pool and hot tub. It was impossible to use as the kids over took it and their supervising adults let them without any regard to other guests. Adult hours from 6-8 am and 10 pm - midnight would be great.

Overall, it was a great property. Only small issues. Facilities weren't connected, making it a cold walk back to the room from the hot tub. Also, there was construction happening on the property that we weren't made aware of. It wasn't a big deal, but it would be nice to have known.

We’ve stayed at multiple hotels on our road trip and this one was by far the best. As a family of 5, we loved it. The pools and hot tub were great. There was lawn games for the whole family. The fitness facilities had many options. And you can’t beat that it is right on the river.

The Riverhouse Lodge was a good base camp for our Bend adventures. The good: Pools were awesome - big, heated and well kept with fun pool toys and plenty of towels. Cute games by the pool as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Coffee and tea options were tasty and appreciated. The microwave and ice machine were a short walk away. Security is great. Employees were warm and kind. When we asked for extra amenities and new towels, they brought a good amount to get us through our stay. We were right across from the pool - loved that. Quiet at night, which we appreciated. Shopping and eating options close by. Improvements: Replace the beds - some lumps and dips. Update the popcorn ceilings. The toilet seat kept slipping to one side. The air conditioner worked wonderfully but froze the person sleeping next to it because it is aimed right at the bed by the wall. Reconfiguration? One of the two pools or hot tub were often closed. While we were there, the glass door in the unit beside us was shattered and two screens were off the doors so a bit of an eyesore. Lastly, we didn't realize we were in a pet-friendly building. Would have preferred non-pet. The good things would certainly bring us back to the Riverhouse Lodge. Thank you for a nice place to stay.

We spontaneously booked this hotel for a night get away and were NOT disappointed!! The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left! They have an indoor & outdoor pool that we got great use out of as well as a on site restaurant that offers great food & even outdoor seating overlooking the water!! totally recommend this place!!!

Really pretty place with amazing views from the bridge but there was so much black and pink mold in the bathroom, very dirty. The room smelt like animal urine and there was a huge bush right in front of our “river view” so we couldn’t see the river from our room/patio. Really disappointed all around. Would have been great if clean and had an actual view of what we paid for.

I really didn’t like that we were there 3 nights and our room was not cleaned or restocked. On the second day we asked the housekeeper if we could get towels and the soap in the bathroom restocked. She said she would do when she came to our room. Well it never happened. It was quite disappointing.

Beautiful property. Highly recommend staying in a river view room. One complaint, the floors had not been cleaned and the furniture had not been dusted. There was dog hair everywhere. We contacted the office and they took care of it immediately.

Great location BUT…upon arrival we noticed 2 piles of dog food on the carpet, likely from previous guests. Sad part of it, the cleaning between guests isn’t great which made us question the bedding. The floor in the bath tub was stained yellow which also meant taking a bath was out of the picture. The shower curtain rod was rusted. Upon entry, the room had a strong musty smell. And finally, the phone in the room didn’t work which prevented us from calling the front desk regarding the dog food on the carpet. Overall, the room cleanliness needs to be addressed but the female front desk employee who checked us in and out was pleasant and apologized for the room.

Clean room. Very comfortable. Nice fridge. Tea and coffee were good. Used iron. Liked the fact that we were offered housekeeping but not needed. Great location in Bend near family. Excellent Christmas dinner! Great service. We are definitely returning for our next visit. Price was reasonable. Thanks!

Room was generally clean but we were surprised that housekeeping has to be scheduled so came back the 1st day to find we had no towels, no coffee, and no body wash in the shower. Staff were generally friendly but took forever to check in. Big line and only one person running the desk. Quiet area, no noise from other rooms or traffic. Overall the property is dated, but they've done a good job upgrading the room decor. Never got to eat at the restaurant because we were unable to get in for breakfast due to a convention. Did have a drink in the bar/outside deck, which was nice.

I decided to write my first review while trying to fall asleep but can't since the floor above has been squeaking going on 2 hours and then when the A/C shuts down it makes with big chunky sound... so I am pretty disappointed with the amount of money this hotel cost at $530.00 a night so I paid $1060 for 2 nights... I wanted to have a nice place to stay since my son had to come to Bend for a surgery so I thought I would splurge a bit and boy did I get fooled.. don't waste your money... this place is sooooo over priced for what you get which is a dirty old smelling room, old bathroom, the shampoo containers in the dirty bathtub didn't even work, no lotion, etc.. then to top it off after we left all day to be at the hospital we came back to a still dirty room with no beds made, no fresh towels, etc... I was shocked to say the least... I would have had no problem with paying what I paid but this is pure price gouging and don't be fooled by the pictures... Super disappointing..

Spotless room. Beautiful area. View over pool was nice and staff found us a first floor so we didn’t have to carry luggage upstairs. However, AC was broken and the bed needed to go back to 1969. Inner springs were poking thru and the mattress was very hard. It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring mattress. Ended up sleeping on top of all the blankets, since the room was too hot anyway.

First thing is that this place has a beautiful view of the river and our room was very spacious. Also very convenient for shopping and dinning at walking distant. Only issues that we had was that there was no microwave in our unit. Maybe it’s nothing for others. But we reheat our take out. They did have a microwave but had to go out and use the one that was available in the ice vending machine room. Depending on what room you are in it could a decent walk to get to. Other minor thing was we needed to turn on the fridge manually every 2 hours in order to keep our food cold. Other thing was the internet was mediocre. Again these are minor inconvenience for us and made it work. Other than that this place is a really nice stay for anyone visiting bend, and most likely would stay here again for that beautiful river view.

This was a second stay for me… I came back because of our first, and even though they have clearly put a lot into the physical updates to the property as a whole, we had several technical difficulties from check in to check out; some were beyond the control of the staff but still made for a less-than-ideal stay for the cost. Specifically-issues with check in with their computer systems (no one’s fault but resulted in my having to spend a lot of extra time making sure my multiple credit cards hadn’t been compromised when it was their issue), an old AC unit that was loud and worked sporadically despite all of the other updates to the property and rooms (not the end of the world, but the room definitely got stale/stuffy and the intermittent noise of the on/off caused a lot of sleep disturbance), request for more than one caffeinated coffee pod when there were multiple people staying in the room was met with an enthusiastic “we’ll bring them right up” with no follow up… again wasted time and something that isn’t ultimately a huge issue but when you’re spending $300+ per night for a room, it’s disappointing. These are things that can be remedied easily, and I won’t rule out another stay, but I will probably check out another place to stay next time given the cost per night. The “river view” was also extremely obstructed by trees, so I’d just go with a different room and pay far less. The service at Currents was mediocre as the waitress was clearly stretched too thin.

We found the only blank we can use for my kid had hairs on it. We called the front desk. The lady answered the phone apologized and agreed to bring clean blankets right away. We waited for one hour and nothing showed up. My kid fell to sleep with just clean towels on him. The hotel is pretty empty. I don’t think they are busy at all. Not sure how much they care. Will not go back again.

Room was great, we loved the river view. On site restaurant was also nice. Only negative was check-in: we were approved for early check in, so 2:00pm instead of 4:00pm (I had an online job interview so REALLY need to get into the room early). At the desk the took my info and would text me when the room is ready…2:00pm not ready and no idea when it would be clean, I checked every 30min. I did my job interview in the lobby while construction was going on the background so that went terrible. Got the text at 3:56pm room was ready—-oh boy 4min earlier than regular time. The fact had no ability to prioritize what rooms are cleaned and zero communication or awareness of housekeeping is doing is failure of management. Wasn’t worth ranting about since the front desk gave me a blank stare when I brought it up so got my keys and moved on. As for the room it was beautiful and comfortable.

When we arrived, we were told that house keeping was behind, and check-in was going to be late by over an hour. That was frustrating, since we were meeting people for dinner at their Currents restaurant, and would not have time to freshen up or change clothes after our long day of travel. Then, we were told that the type of room we had reserved was not available. Really? What is the purpose of a reservation if the room is not RESERVED? Disappointed, I then asked if we could reserve a table by the river for the dinner that we were now going to be late for. We were told that was not at all possible as guests were seated on a first come, first serve basis only. I requested that given the inconvenience of late check in, and the mistake of not having the reserved class of room, could they possibly be able to make an exception and hold us a table by the river? Nope....not possible. Hannah the manager tried to make it right, and she upgraded us without additional charge, but it never really worked out. The check-in process was quite painful, chaotic, and frustrating. The dinner (NOT at a table by the river) was delicious though. The ribs were some of the best that I have ever had. But, in fairness, I must say that every staff with whom I had an encounter were very polite and professional. From the restaurant workers, to the front desk, to the maid staff, each individual was wonderful. I would return though and hope that the checkin and room process is improved.

Should have stayed somewhere else. The girl who checked us in was very short and rude, didn’t explain anything. Had to pay for parking where there is no valet, had to pay for the amenities such as WiFi. No breakfast!! Our room smelled like smoke and you could smell the smoke from people next door. The shower had no cover for the drain. Room smelled weird. When I checked out no one asked how we enjoyed our stay. Overall not worth the money. Could have stayed at super 8 or motel 6 and got better service. Oh and the a/c only blew between the curtain and was loud and didn’t cool well.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean, easy to find. The staff was nice, the room was wonderful. The balcony was nice. The hotel had an outdoor and indoor pool, sauna, and “yard games”. Next door is a great restaurant for burgers, seafood, and ice cream. The area (Bend,OR) is bustling with people. We had no complaints, not even when the super loud “BOOM” woke us up at 5:30am! It was a blown transformer or something near by. It shook the whole town!

It is a beautiful property, with wonderful and attentive staff. We did not realize it was right in town when we booked. That did make it convenient to walk to nearby shopping and dining, however, it also added to the noise level at the property.

Great stay. Very spacious, clean room and enjoyed the river view. The microwave is located next to the ice machine. The gym is a bit musty smelling, but there is a great walking/biking trail you can walk to (the Deschutes River Trail). The only downside…no elevator to the second floor.

There’s a big difference in experience between rooms on the river and all others. Otherwise it’s just a tired motel. Rooms need updating. Balconies need cleaning and the screen doors replaced. Good restaurant on site.

We ate at Currents, and although our waiter was excellent, the service was very, very slow. We waited for well over an hour. We were there for 2 and 1/2 hours. With an anxious 11-year-old. It appeared they were understaffed.
