Super 8 by Wyndham Mars/Cranberry/Pittsburgh Area

Checked in late, gentleman at front desk was friendly. Went to my room and I was surprised to see the bed was like 80% made and the skirt was on the chair in the corner. I had to look around to make sure it wasn't someone else's room... No problem, things happen. Notified front desk and was immediately assigned another room. Had a good nights sleep and a nice shower. When I was getting ready to leave, the elevator was broken or in an error state, not a huge issue but i was on the third floor and it could be for some. Tried to grab some breakfast and OJ was empty, coffee machine was broken. Basically fruit loops, a self cook waffle, and basic fruit were all the options. Overall, place smelled "different", strange vibe, but pretty cheap and it worked.

Free parking, great for a low cost hotel stay. Only thing the room was a little musty, but clean, showers were great. A/c unit worked but made a little noise, not too bad

Elevator not working, Seems like the hotel is falling apart . The hotel needs work .Had to pull up on the door to get it to lock . Now I will have to say the room was very clean . The free breakfast was just cereal bananas and some coffee and water .

We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. The desk clerk could not have been more considerate and helpful. Quiet, clean, and incredible shower. Breakfast was minimal but fresh. Absolutely thebest Super 8 experience ever!

Staff was indifferent at best. Room wasn't dirty but looked old. The elevator didn't work our entire stay. There is other hotels in the area for similar prices tnat

HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY! Elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs to the top door. Our first room smelled like bleach & had an “odor blocker” machine in it. It smelled like someone was covering up a murder. Second room was nothing but cigarette smoke. We didn’t stay, we ended up leaving. I’ll never stay at a super 8 again.

No refrigerator in room. I asked andcwas told the hotel was full. But parking was less than 25% capacity, & there were no other rooms with fridge available. Odors through out entire public areas. Cigarette smoking at entrance was abundant. Marijuana strong odor by picnic table. Slamming of doors so bad my wall shook woken up repeatedly by this. Preventing a nughts sleep. Property was in bad shape exterior. Room was extremely small. No place to store clothes. No dresser/drawers. Only 2 hooks to hang clothing. No hangers or close space at all. No rack or shelves. Had to put suitcase on floor. & clothes in front of tv. Had to ask fir toilet paper as only 1 used roll in room with no facial tissues. I trash can , 1 gallon size. No place to dispose of used feminine products Breakfast was terrible. Milk for cereal was warm. Only fake processed creamer for coffee. No tea. No pastries. Juice machine was empty.No cups in room. Had to use my habdcto rinse my mouth gen brushing my teeth. No soap dish fir bar soap. Not enough body wash /shampoo for 2 people. No hooks or rods to hang hand towel at sink. Place was for druggies. NOT for families. If I hadnt driven over 600 miles I would have left & stayed at another facility. Especially after not having a fridge in room & no place to put my clothing. Hallways, entrance way, exterior were unkept , rundown & dirty. Discription of property is not accurate at all. Prooerty is not walkable. No sidewalks at all.

Few things to improve : Breakfast - Very limited options.it would be great if bread, toaster and butter served. Elevator is under maintenance

A little dirty. Strong odor in the hallway. Room itself smelled "wet". Expedia app says this place had EV charging, it did not. Breakfast options basically non existent. Bed was fine and the Place was quiet. There are worse places to stay.

The place was very well maintained. I liked that the room was clean and quiet. I loved that my dog could be with me in this ground level room. Parking was great as we were pulling a trailer. There was a great Mexican restaurant within walking distance. I did not like the frayed carpet in room 124. I did not like that the rules limit dog size. Well behaved dogs of any size should be allowed.

The only time we saw a worker was st check in. Never saw one any day since. For check out there was a basket on the counter that said "check out here" and you leave your room card in it. There was a stain on the carpet in our room we didn't question it too bad though it was beside the bed against the wall in front of the night stand. The bed seemed comfortable until we got home and found BEDBUGS in our suitcases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the light in the gardent infront of the parking lot shines in the window all around the blinds, quite disruptive to our sleeps.

It was an easy check in, and the lady was nice. When we got into our room, it had a musty smell to it. There were spots of mold on the walls above the shower, and the fan in the bathroom was sooooo loud! The beds were very comfortable, so I was very thankful for that! My friend was going to go outside to smoke, and our room door wouldn’t lock behind him. It would only lock if I locked it from inside. I went to the desk to report it. She came to the door and hooked a machine to it, and of course it didn’t do anything. She asked if it locks from inside. I said yes. She’s like ok you’re fine then. I replied no we aren’t because we are leaving our room for a few hours, and there is no way to lock it while we are gone. She apologizes and tells me they are fully booked and can’t change us rooms, but said they have cameras. So we had to leave our room unlocked while we left for a few hours. Thankfully nothing was stolen while we were out.

Very efficient check in. The clerk was professional and friendly. Upon entering the room, the smell of mildew was heavy. The next morning I looked at a wooden chair and wiped the legs with a tissue to see if the white came off and it was disgusting. The mildew was so heavy all over the chair & the carpet felt damp and added to the odor.

We stayed for one night. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. There was a slight mold smell and the carpet was damp. Breakfast was nothing more than cold cereal. Would not stay here again.

The room was filthy. Was supposed to be a non-smoking room but had an overwhelming smell of smoke. They promoted as having breakfast but all it was was cereal, cheap granola bars, and a bowl of old apples. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Upon check in, it was noted that the pictures posted online were a misrepresentation of what the room actually looks like. When checking the sheets, a bed bug was crawling across the bed. We immediately left this property and stayed at a different hotel. The girl working the desk was nice, I will say that much.

When I brought this to the staff’s attention, I was moved to another room but even then, I wasn’t given a functioning key card. Every time I needed to enter my room, I had to ask the staff to open it for me, which was incredibly inconvenient and unacceptable. The condition of the room was far below expectations. There was no refrigerator or microwave, despite these being listed on the website. When I asked about it, I was told the hotel is under new management, but that doesn’t excuse not informing guests ahead of time or updating the advertised amenities. To make matters worse, the smell of smoke was present throughout the property, including the hallways, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. I also noticed visible mold on the windows, which is a serious health and cleanliness concern. Overall, the experience did not align with what was promised, and I would not recommend staying here.

This property smells disgusting. The whole building smells like Body odor. Furniture in rooms are damaged and disgusting. This should not be an option on Expedia

I don’t expect luxurious accommodations at a budget hotel, but I do expect the room to be clean and quiet. Unfortunately, this hotel smelled like stale smoke and the carpet was very worn and dirty. Didn’t have a fridge or microwave??? But it was on the price we paid for the night. Didn’t think it was the cleanest but it was fine for a one night stay

Be aware that there is only a sad excuse for breakfast- milk, cereal, coffee, apple juice, cheap cereal bars, and mealy apples. Horrendous! Also, the bedspreads were either dirty or old- even had some holes in them. And the hallway carpet was old and stained.

During check in we were asked if we preferred a room without a microwave or a room without a TV. We opted for no microwave. Once we got to the room, we found that while there was a TV, it had lines on the screen as if it had been knocked down. A minor issue we ran into was that the room was not cleaned well and while bathing our children, there was no tub stopper. We chose this hotel since it was pet friendly, however, there was no mention of any fees associated on the Expedia site. The front desk called our room, said we had to pay a $20 pet fee and then asked if we could pay cash. We went to the front desk to talk to them about it and they did end up just adding it to our card which was fine. The last straw for our trip is we have a 1 year old who goes to bed around 8pm. With it being an unfamiliar place, she was struggling to settle immediately. Within 1 minute of us trying to console her crying we received a noise complaint call and a resident started pounding on our door. We packed up and left without staying the night and drove the 4 hours home.

The Staff was very nice and it had only been reopened for a month (after renovations and new ownership). The room was clean enough and newer furnishings. The WiFi was down the entire time. The microwave and refrigerator were on a ditch by the door. We ended up, turning off the refrigerator by accident looking for the lights when we left one day. Lost a little food we had wanted to keep cold. The room was right of the lobby. Voices carried through clearly at night. On the positive side, it’s a convenient location and good parking. It was one of the least expensive items in the area.

This hotel appeared to be a one-man operation, a manager who lived on the premises. The front desk was not staffed. You had to pick up a phone to call for the manager to come. The breakfast was the worst, as there were only two sweetened cereals available plus apples... nothing else. The lobby was dirty and very noisy. The walls were thin.

If you are travelling to visit Pittsburgh, PA you are better off staying somewhere else close to the city. Pro: 1) Hotel was clean. 2) Right next to good shopping and food (McD, Arbys, Walmart, Costco, Gas Station etc.) all within a short distance. Cons: 1) Breakfast was cold or On-the-GO type. Items were terrible with absolutely no good options to choose from. 2) Service was the worst - No one at the reception desk at anytime, staffs not knowledgeable about the local area regarding places of interest or tourism. Some of them were not even able to talk in English. 3) TV - not enough channels to choose from. It was definitely not worth the money. Just for another few more dollars you could find better options with good hot food.

Was rejected when a reservation was made and money was pulled. Staff was rude and not accommodating. They do not care for their guests. It is who will pay the most money and bid against each other for the cheapest rooms. They've done nothing to help with the smells outside nor inside of their hotel. The linens on previous stay were stained and covered in what can only be suspected as urine stains and staff clearly does not care about the guests because if staff did this would not have occurred. If you want a better hotel go to the Clarion Inn or the Comfort Inn.

This was a typical stay with the family. Untill the following morning before check-out. I was exiting the shower and the bathroom to finish get ready to check out. Once I entered the room I turned on the lamp on the desk and noticed on the lamp shade there was a small clear bag with the top and side cuts dangling the shade. Manager was notified and laughed in my face. Then I said I would like to make a police report. He laughed and called the cops the officer arrived and had clarified that the bag was used for drugs but was empty. This was a best of a terrible situation. I have a seven year old if that bag was full and she got ahold of it she could of died or had to be hospitalized. This just proves the house keeping did not clean very well or even pay attention to detail. Very unhappy with the experience that morning. I asked for a refund for the night stay and the manager laughed again and said why. So we left the hotel.

This Super8 was a great value for the Hotels.com price. Staff were very friendly and everything is as advertised in the listing. Room and bed very comfortable, location convenient for our business trip. Would definitely stay there again

It is convenient to two interstates. Ther are many food places along U.S. 19 and two malls to buy any unexpected items. The staff was friendly and tries to be as cooperative as possible regarding the freezer situation. The only negative was that there was no freezer unit in the refridgerator.

Very good location, very clean rooms, beds new and comfortable, I had the nicest experience checking in. The nice young gentleman checking me in offered to help me carry my bags up to room (very kind gesture) everyone was nice and helpful. The price was also very good!!

Our stay here was fine. However it said it had breakfast and all that was out was 3 expired granola bars and some stale fruit loops. The juice machine did not work. If youre looking for a place to lay your head, it was fine.

This place was reasonable, no coffee in room and a breakfast with coffee and cereal. Not a bad stay.

The days I was there they didn't have breakfast, only juice and the machine doesn't work.

Room wasn't bad for the price but there was a bad smell in the hallways and the breakfast was just dry cereal or a granola bar.

I thought their "Breakfast" was way below par. Cold cereal and coffee. That is all they had.

Horrible breakfast options and coffee machine broken-had to wait half hour for staff to bring in a box of coffee from off site. Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes the only cereals offered. A low sugar option like cheerios would be smart. No pastries, no bread. All that was offered was waffles and granola bars, apples and bananas. Up hallway had bad smell as did room. AC/heat unit not functioning well. This place has gone downhill since we first started staying here 20+ years ago. Not sure if we will risk staying again even if it was just for one night. The only plus is there is a good restaurant within walking distance.

Their breakfast was Or is the worst I've ever experienced I sat down had some cereal Kellogg Corn flakes They must have been 10 to 12 weeks old they were extremely stale I mean if you're going to have a breakfast bar At least have something there to eat You had coffee apple juice and granola bar With some overripe bananas There was no decaf coffee or tea Come on really Like I said before I've never experienced anything quite like this ended up going to Mcdonald's Oh and the cereal choices was Fruit Loops and Frosted flakes
