It was so close to coligny. It was in a great location. The pool was perfect. The staff was super friendly. Love the dumpster cats and raccoons. Brought the most peacefulness while sitting around the hotel.

The employees were all very nice and professionals. Our room was clean but the pillows were not good. We asked for more pillows but none were available. Our beds were comfortable but they need new pillows and more of them. The pool looked nice but it was closed, so not sure when it will open for the season. There is a free shuttle stop at the motel next door, so it is easily accessible to take the shuttle to most parts of the island. It is very nice for the price.

I appall the amazing staff at the front desk for having little to work with in a very busy holiday weekend. Apparently the hotel is short of housekeepers and the one they have is very overworked. The parking lot itself has major roadway damage and needs to b repaired. We checked in at 5 and was finally let into our room after 6. No room key was available for whatever reason. Our linens on the bed were dirty and management said they knew it and would have replaced but as of 10 pm still had not. I finally retrieved beach towels out of my vehicle and played on bed enough to get a few hours sleep. The bathroom was very clean as well as well stocked with clean linens. The air conditioning system was spot on. Would I stay here again absolutely because I know Joe worked hard and was trying his best.

For the price, the hotel was clean and nice. The amenities in the room were fine, but not great. I brought a boat with me and it was easy to park on the side of the parking lot. there is also putt putt and a diner really close which was nice. Overall a nice stay!

Parking lot was safe. Saw a police car in parking lot this morning driving thru. No issues. Some maintenance needed but room was clean and comfortable. Advised front desk of a few things. Very nice and receptive.

Additional fee for early check-in. No fridge, microwave, hair dryer or Kleenex in room. They do accept pets as we travel with a 12 pound miniature poodle. No extra charge! Only coffee in the lobby! Many tv channels to choose from! Room is small but works for two people. No elevator — have to use the steps for second floor! Deadbolt on door did not work!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. Extremely old and run down property. We were supposed to stay for 6 nights, we left after 1 because we didn't feel safe. Room wasn't clean when we checked in. TV didn't work, one of the lights over the bed didn't work. Toilet paper holder was broken, toilet paper was sitting on top of the toilet. The tub had been painted in an attempt to hide repairs

The entire room was filthy, smelled like mildew & dog. It was not sanitized. The "handicapped shower" had a massive, room length long rusted and clogged drain that smelled like sewage because I guess people go the bathroom in the shower there. It would chip off and little brown specks would happen about my feet during the shower. The bedsheets were the only clean thing in the room. I walked around and my socks/feet turned black. No fridge. No cleaning/room service. No breakfast. No nothing.

Front office was open and no one was in there for 35 minutes when I arrived at 10pm at night. Anyone could have had access to anything in the front office where peoples’ information cards were sitting. The phone rang twice. I seriously thought maybe I should have called 911 because I thought someone might have robbed the place or something. No towels were in the room and got supplied 2 for the 3 night stay with 3 people. The room had roaches in it and the floor made our socks turn black. Totally gross.

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly and the price was amazing for the great location and surrounding area. Sometimes when you stay at a discounted hotel, you're worried about safety, cleanliness, etc. Not so in this case. Cold AC, mini fridge, Very good water pressure, good range of tv channels, etc. I needed an affordable place to stay while looking for permanent housing so it fit my needs perfectlu

It was a cheap place to lay your head but there was a constant musty/sour smell in the room. A lady’s under garments were left on the bathroom door when we arrived. Needed a place to stay until we could get into our condo, unfortunately would not recommend and wouldn’t stay again.

I checked in at around 10:30 pm on a night the low temperature was to be around 20. The room was about 50 degrees or so and the only source of heat were "heat bars" with no forced air. I had to sleep fully clothed and the room did not reach a comfortable temperature for many hours after my check in.

Wi-Fi required no password, which is very dangerous and borderland criminal for allowing an unsecured connection for customers. Walls were paper thin and could hear people talking, dogs barking up to past midnight.

I had to renew my electric entry card 2 of the 3 days. The light was out over the sink. Only the hand-held shower worked. The door to the next room though closed, let in a lot of tv noise.

The staff was good. The place is definitely showing its age. They were having issues with TV channels while I was there and the phone in the room didn't work. It wouldn't be the first place I would book.

The room was super small (sardine can)but it was clean and the bed was comfy. Moisture has gotten to the doors. They were a little hard to shut. But I'd stay again.

The room itself was clean. I had a king bed and that was comfortable, but the pillows! Not only with a small for a king bed they were flat as pancakes. Very uncomfortable and not a good nights sleep. I did call the front desk and asked if I could replace them, and she said she would look, but she never came up to the room or even called.

When we arrived, their wifi was down (not their fault). They were able to check us in after a wait, but we’re unable to give us room keys… They opened the door for us to get into our room, and we noticed hair on the floor, mold in the shower, leftover food in fridge, and hair stuck to bedsheets. They were understanding when we requested a refund. But overall, I would not recommend. It’s possible we were unlucky and other guests don’t run into these issues..but we learned it’s best to pay more $$ than try to save and get disappointed.

My first stay at a Red Roof Inn was pleasant. The price was affordable and our 1 bedroom suite was large for our party of 4. Some updates are needed but if you just want to experience Hilton Head and your budget is tight consider staying here. There’s no bells and whistles. A few guests had large dogs, but they were quiet and no barking and leashed, Staff is very nice and helpful!

I stayed for 9 nights and never received housekeeping, despite multiple requests. Towel service was denied, and I was told to get them myself. The room was dirty and had roaches. I had to buy my own toilet paper and toiletries. The hotel also charged a safe use fee and only partially refunded my deposit. Poor service, unsanitary conditions—I do not recommend this hotel.

Good thing that this hotel is clean. Very bad is that they charge you additional money after checking out and never explain why. Neither they apologize or call back. 0 communication after my 3 calls and an email to them! When we discovered that our trash bin had a big crack, we immediately informed the manager. He said "ok". After we arrived home, we saw that the hotel took $10.68 from our card, nothing on what is this for. After I reached the Red Roof by phone, they either put me on endless hold or said they didn\'t know. The hotel representative told me that the manager would call back. This never happened. We stayed there 8 days. In the first room we were offered there was trash here and there and no linens at all. The manager apologized and gave us another room, this one was clean, yet without toiletries. During our stay the cleaning lady never showed up. When we wanted to get fresh towels, we succeeded only with the third attempt. First the lady at the front desk said that "there was no towels at the laundry" . She did not apologize for the inconvenience. When we brought our towels a few hours later, there was nobody at the lobby. Only in the late afternoon we finally got lucky. Though the hotel is described as smoke free, there were enough smokers and bad smell all over the property, in the pool area too. There was no fridge and microwave in the room. My recommendation is "don\'t stay in this in this hotel".

The 2nd shift office employee didnt show up for work. About 10 customers including myself had to wait 30 mins to check in. A housekeeping em ployee had to check us in. The first room smelled like clorox and mildew. The sheets had body hair on them and the pillow had a large grey stain. I requested different room and it was somewhat better. Body hairs in the sink, toenail clippings next to the bed and a old carton of take out food left overs were left in the fridge. Not enough parking spaces in the front so i had to park around back where construction/room remodeling was in process. Loitering in this same parking area until very late. Wasnt a safe and sanitary experience. I was traveling with my 6 year old son and 70 year old mother. Im aware this was the cheapest hotel in the area but wasnt worth the money i spent.

We have been coming to HHI way before it became known as a tourist attaction and have always stayed here so, If you want a Mid-Island location to stay this is it. The Staff (Mr. Mike and Ms. Jessica) where very professional and handled My Check in and Out like a breeze. The room itself served its purpose for the 4 nights we stayed. The Motel is across from some very good eateries including The Comedy Club and Nectar you can walk there it you want. Also The Dry Dock Restaurant and Bar (which we ate at our last night and will be back..very good) is in walking distance. The Inn was very quite and the Pool was refreshing. The Motel itself is a little outdated BUT very well maintain. Internet was on spot but the TV stations were a bit of a challenge to fine but really who needs a TV when you are at Hilton Head Island, right. We will be back soon and plan on staying again at The Red Roof Inn.

No parking spaces for people checking in, a lot of junk bicycles lay on the ground in back of building. They were out of coffee for the morning. The help was very nice and efficient.

Shocked to find that we had to upgrade in order to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. No iron or hair dryer, or coffee maker. Floor was filthy black. No breakfast and only coffee in the lobby until noon. The staff was nice and helpful though. The landscaping was very nice as was the pool area.
