Lots of pools and access to beach

The waterslide, lazy river, and pools were all nice and plentiful. Pool side bar made a good drink. Super easy access to the beach was what I wanted and this place delivered. Got a bit sandy in the room but at least they provided a broom for the hard floors in the room.

Parking was a nightmare Hardly enough spaces for amount of rooms.

Loved everything except the elevators and the wait for them.

Great Beach Access

Loved that the beds were comfy, no sand and loved the variety of pools, lazy rivers, and hot tubs.

For the price point, people from all walks of life are able to come together and have an excellent beach vacation. Nothing overly fancy. But, everything worked. All 23, i think, pools, slides and lazy rivers were all working and packed full of folks enjoying themselves. Tons of activities.

It was a decent stay but it wasn't no parking so we had to park across the street in a second car garage and they were doing construction on the building so the fire alarm was going on

Easy beach access, two parking lots and the entertainment was AMAZING! My 11 year old loved it and they had fun for the whole family

Compass Cove is an older resort but well maintained. 2 parking garages available. Multiple pools but on the smaller side. Beach is always nice though. Live music in the afternoons was fun too.

This trip to Myrtle Beach was not the best experience this go round. The customer service was not great, the room was not cleaned, the furniture in the living room and dining room were horrible. We was supposed to have a sleeper sofa which as not one. The table and countertop was dirty, the chairs to the dining table was dirty and the carpet was stained, damaged and had play dough stuck in some areas.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and outside around pools areas were also kept clean!

The rooms were clean when entering.. you could smell the cleanliness. The facility and grounds were well kept and clean as well. The staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. Enjoyed the activities and events they had to offer during the day poolside. Realllly enjoyed the fact the use wristbands instead of room keys, much easier and didn’t have to keep track of the card. We will be planning next years trip here again!

My room was full of black mold. Kitchen sink leaked all over the floor. Refrigerator in kitchen was leaking what looked like nasty blood but we had no food inside of it.

Dirty room

The sheets were dirty and There was hair in the tub. Compass cove has went down a lot. Elevators slow and no ice available.

Dirty damp carpet, food stuck on dishes that's supposed to be clean.. a crab leg in between fidge & stove...I take my own cleaning supplies so I was able to clean. I requested extra sheets to put on the floor. Other than that. Our kid's enjoyed themselves

Compass Cove website highlights freshly renovated rooms. Which was the deciding factor for me to book there. But… I was bestowed a stale, outdated, dirty, damp room. The paint/wallpaper reminded me of The Bates hotel, the beds creaked with every movement, the A/C is beside the bed…literally, the carpet floors was ALWAYS damp to the touch (not walking barefoot on that) the bathroom smelled of urine (which I cleaned with Mr. Clean) the kitchenware had crusty food residue and the elevator guaranteed a 3 to 7 minute wait time per trip. It was a dump.

The room we were assigned to was in poor condition. The curtains were old and did not fit across the window. The room was not clean. Purchased our own cleaning products and cleaned. The linens were clean, but had a unpleasant odor. The pool tiles need to be scrubbed. Elevators need cleaning. Floors throughout were not clean. We always stayed at Compass Cove, first trip in 15 years. Definitely not what it used to be!

Amazing stay very impressed with the cleanliness of my room

Good room, nice view of ocean and updated . Restaurant however did away a breakfast buffet which was a disappointment.

Room was perfect for four people. View was absolutely amazing! Have stayed here before and will continue to stay in the future.

We booked one of the nice newly renovated suites. He arrived late because of our flight so we think they gave away our room. We were so shocked to enter the room. They gave us with it being nothing what we had reserved. The room was extremely old, decor was horrible and the bed was on stilts. We went back down immediately and told him this was not the room we had reserved and they basically said too bad. We have nothing else available. It was so incredibly upsetting and completely not worth what we paid. We went back down the next morning to speak with a manager and told her the situation and provided her photos with what we reserved. After a long day Of waiting for our new room, we were able to get the nice room that we had reserved. But a whole day and a half was wasted, and no special accommodations or credits were given highly disappointed and would not recommend. The HOA does not keep up with the maintenance whatsoever. The building, the paint, rails etc are so old and rusty. It’s almost embarrassing for the resort.

Unfortunately our room was right above the beach bar. While they did close at 10pm….guests stayed out and it was very bright. We were hoping for a quite oceanfront room….to hear the ocean not drunk people.

Overall the property was clean, staff was friendly, room was clean. However, the mattress was horrible. It felt like i was sleeping on 12 wire hangers. I did not sleep well at all...

We had a great time! Lots to do at the resort and close to everything. The beds and pillows were one of the best we’ve slept on! The queen deluxe room was beautifully renovated and had great city and ocean views!

The room was recently renovated and very modern and clean. The check-in needs work. We were told the room would not be ready for an hour and 15 minutes and to take a walk around the property and we would get a call when ready. We walked by the room and joked that oh maybe this is it cause clearly it is ready. We went back after the time we were told and it was still not ready- we did this twice. Checked the phone for calls- none, no emails or text messages, nothing. Finally back at the desk and I sent a message to the company… finally the room is ready… it was the same room we joked about 2 hours prior. Communication with the front desk and rooms being ready needs work. No one wants to spend 2 hours waiting for a room after driving over an hour. Thank you to Sierra for her patience with us and the complimentary breakfast. Also, this room was not exactly what we paid for. The pics and description are deceiving… change it from ocean front to ocean view cause we had to look past the loud bar and the seating area to see the beach. The beach was steps away but at night the adults go in and the teens come out and we could not fully enjoy the sounds of the beach at night from our room. I would stay again but would absolutely NOT book the Schooner room by the outside bar. As far as food, we only ate breakfast there. It was ok. As I said room was newly renovated so it was nice and the beds were comfortable… bathroom a lil small and water pressure was nonexistent.

I was a little disappointed as we had been here about 3 years ago and had a great time. It doesn't appear that there any been any upgrades since then though as everything is very dated. First impressions with rusted doors on all of the rooms isn't a good one. The shower doesn't have very much pressure and the temperature is also hard to adjust; either cold or scalding hot. The food is good from the Crow's Nest and the staff is friendly We had a corner room and enjoyed watching the cats at feeding time behind the tiki bar.

Room was updated and clean. The King Oceanview in Pinnacle was a nice layout with mini kitchen and necessary flatware and dishes and icemaker. All plusses. The room was great, AC cold and view was awesome. No complaints on this stay.

VIEW of the Atlantic from my room was fantastic, but the room is VERY dated and not maintained well.

Our stay was great from the time we checked in until we checked out. Anyone we made contact with was very courteous and helpful.

Everything was great. We wanted to stay an extra night. We even received an email regarding talking to the front desk people to get a great deal on an extra night. Then when I went to ask about it I was as going to have to check out at 11 and leave the motel then come back at 4 and check in for a different room. We were already there and that meant we would have 5 hours to do something with before we could check in. No one was willing to help us after we received the email.

Our view was great. Loved waking up to the ocean view. Only issue we had was when we called the front desk to get some stuff we had to call 3 times to get and the bed was not to comfy.

2.5 The resort property is great and family friendly with multiple pools and restaurants /bar. Location is great and opens up to beach. But service is not satisfactory. Called frontdesk multiple times but never got them in the room. No room cleaning despite asking for it, asked for toiletries and condiments and they weren't delivered despite reminders. Something needs to be done about it.

The check in line was horrible. Over an hour and half wait time. Then the room was wrong and where I had booked under hotels.com the property would t work with hotels .com to fix it. The communication between employees wasn’t great and everyone seemed rushed. Parking sucks. But overall the pools and easy access to the beach was great. Gift shop a little overpriced but not too bad and you have to request extra towels and to have your room serviced

The AC unit in our first room was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. I asked for a different room when we first realized and were told no other options. At 1am I spoke to the front desk Melissa and she was very accommodating. She gave me three different options with rooms (the first didn’t work because it was only one bed). She was the only positive thing that helped.

Convenience and proximity of oceanfront was great. Lots of luggage carts were available. We stood in line for an hour to check in. Not great. Overall very good.

I was very disappointed with the check-in experience. Although check-in was supposed to start at 4:00 PM, we didn’t get our room until after 6:00 PM. We had to wait in a long, crowded line, and the staff at the front desk were unhelpful and dismissive. I was traveling with my family and a small child after a long trip from another state, and this was not the welcome we expected. The poor communication, delay, and rude attitude from some of the staff made the start of our stay very stressful and frustrating. This experience needs to be addressed so future guests don’t go through the same.

My husband and I had a situation. Anna, the manager on staff, assisted us perfectly. I will not go into details as to what the situation was, but head management needs to be made aware that Anna really took care of us and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are thinking of coming back with our five-year-old. Anna and Brandy are amazing at their customer service duties.

Resort was clean with lots of amenities, lots of restaurant choices, good parking, and in a very convenient location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They really need to work on a better system for checking in. It took over an hour.

Right on the beach, and property offers multiple pools/hot tubs. Convenient location, close to grocery shopping and restaurants. The boardwalk is about a 10 min drive or hour walk. Room was clean.

I enjoyed my stay the 3 days I was there. Beautiful ocean front view and staff was very nice if I had questions.

I went by myself for a 5 day relaxation after losing my spouse a year ago. I had a king oceanfront room, all the food you want is right there on the 3 building properties. Most of my shopping was right there.

Property is outdated but loved that there are multiple pools and beach access. Many things to do on and off the property and close to the boardwalk.

The property is a bit dated. But annexes on the beach and close to everything you need while on vacation. Food, groceries, activities.

I enjoyed the beach front. It was beautiful and peaceful.

Really nice property on the south side of the beach so it’s on the quieter side. Pretty far in walking distance to the broad walk but 10 minutes drive so not bad. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The hotel was nice. Room was comfortable. Great view from the balcony. Parking was tight at times. There is a parking garage on site but VERY tight turns.( we have a midsize truck and needed to back up to turn up the ramp). There is a garage across the street that always had plenty of parking. They had 2 waterslides along with several pools and 2 lazy rivers. I wish they had a bigger outdoor pool. There were 2 restaurants on site and a coffee shop.

Quick access to the area. Nice beach

My husband and I went for 3 nights to have a getaway. The room was very nice. The bed was so comfortable and the view was nice that you could see from the bed. It was convenient to have Starbucks in hotel. We at from the restaurant and the wings were so good.

Loved the amenities and it has a tiki bar, DJ during day, water hoses to clean off from the beach, LOTS of pools, and renovated rooms. Only issuss were the rugs that are constantly dirty, wet and smell of mildew in the hallways, and the rust on all the doors.

The property needs devotion the house keepers not cleaning the place property, that's the only thing but the place is nice for vacation hopefully renovation finished by next year 2025 because i plan to go back next year. Myrtle beach is very nice to go on vacation. Breakfast was great, a lot to choose from.

The bar was on point

Had a great stay. Rooms are a little dated but the view was great from our Oceanfront room. Staffe is great. nice Tiki Bar and onsite restaurants are conveniant.

It was a great stay. There is a lot of amenities there. Such as lazy rivers, hot tubs, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, Starbucks and a shop among other amenities. Employee was helpful n for the most part friendly

The room was on the first floor right at the bar, it was loud all the time, ask to move , would have to check out and wait till 4 to come back, rediculous. We tried the buffet breakfast one morning,it was terrible, and over priced for what was there. The whole resrt needs attention, several levels of the parking deck were closed, so you never find a spot to park on your floor. Also checkin takes forever, stood in line from 4 till 445 to get checked in. We will not be back to this dump!!!!! It was one of our favorites for years, but not anymore.

Everything was great! So much to do and the restaurant all of them was so good. The only thing is its an older hotel and it could use some up dating. Very rusty and dusty and old but just from wrar and tear. But very great as far as close to water, grills, lazy rivers, eating places, really enjoyed the tiki bar. Theres so much to do you really dont have to leave.

The room was dirty. Carpet was dirty. Dust webs in corners. Pools were nice. Mixed drinks were high price. Food in restaurant was not good.
