I loved, loved, loved the unobstructed view from not only the balcony but the bed!!! The balcony was spacious and clean. I enjoyed not being able to see my neighbors that were right beside me while we both were on the balcony. I loved the four pools. You had options and they were never full.

We stayed at this resort in the second week of September. We picked a king room with a partial view of the ocean. Our room also had a full kitchen and living room area. It also had a balcony that provided a decent view of the ocean. The room was in good shape and fairly clean. The floor was really the only dirty part. It could have used a good wet mop cleaning. The bottom area of the hotel features all the pools, two lazy rivers, a kids play area, and two spas. There is also a nice outdoor bar that is open in the evenings. It's a short walk from the pool area out to the beach. During the week, the resort was nice and not crowded. At the beginning of the weekend though, it fills up and then you have to wait for the elevators or a spot in the spas.

Pros. The resort is really nice. I enjoy the hot tubs and the pool and I love the fact that it is the oceanfront right off the beach area. The staff seems to be very friendly as well. Cons. The parking garage is across the street. Our room was very humid and left our towels and bedding feeling very moist. I did not like that.

This hotel is great for families, not so great for couples. It's incredibly noisy, from screaming children to non-stop loud music. Don't stay here if you're looking for a quiet getaway or an adult romantic vacation, that's not what Sea Crest is. Kids love it and their parents probably do, too. It's not what we were looking for.

So much potential. This property is great for families. They offer so much to do, including multiple pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers, and a huge interactive splashpad, a tiki style bar, and also a little cafe which is located close to the main street. It has a great location right on the beach and a 5-7 minute drive to the airport. The room sizes are wonderful with a full size fridge & oven in their kitchens and great views of the ocean from almost every room. A few things that weren't ideal- there is NO insulation between the walls of the rooms, the restroom in the room needs a major updating - it was borderline gross, and their entrance parking lot is on a hill, so checking in etc. was difficult with roller bags, then you had to proceed across the busy street to their parking garage. They've done the best they could with that situation, but people should still be aware that it could be complicated for anyone with mobility issues.

We liked the variety of swimming areas especially for kids. We did not like that the designated smoking area was a little too close the main kids splash area so the smoke smell would waft over to the kids area.

The hotel is in a great spot, with easy access to a beautiful beach where the water was warm and calm—perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy. The location is also close to lots of dining options and Broadway at the Beach. However, the hotel itself had a few downsides: the main floor was often wet and slippery from people coming in and out of the pool and beach, the room had mold, and the bed linens were thin and worn. The towels were a letdown—thin, small, and they left lint on the skin, which wasn’t great. Definitely could be upgraded for a more comfortable stay. Carpets were old and dirty, the elevator was hot, smelly, and had water on the floor. Needs better maintenance, but the beach and location made up for a lot!

Front desk staff is kind of a mess. Needs more training and more help! The parking situation is pretty bad, be prepared to drive for about 20 min in circles to unload. The room was clean, very clean! But stunk like cigarettes, thank goodness for the balcony being open all the time. The carpet by the elevator, someone needs to change those out because it smells like a public restroom. But other than that suit yourself! Loved that it was right in front of the beach and that it had a kitchenette where I made pancakes and eggs and had the whole view of the ocean! Can’t beat that!

I paid for rooms with ocean views with kitchen.. due we were with my whole family with children... and they gave me separate, dirty rooms that even had cockroaches... we were disappointed.

I ended up with bedbugs from the property and because my booking was non refundable I have no been able to get my money back!! Do not book here. I was also told before booking the water park was open, I would not have even booked this place had the water park been closed. Because it was spring break week everything else was booked so I ended up having to stay here and I now have ended up with bedbugs and a 2,000 bill to treat my house for them and the hotel has been completely incorporating refunding my money for staying at this place and coming home with bedbugs think twice before booking with them.

Kids were excited for the indoor pools/lazy rivers and the outdoor little water park area. That was all nice. Our room, not so much. Our microwave was broken, which we didn’t find out until the morning we were checking out when we went to grab quick breakfast at the upstairs cafe and took it back to the room to warm the breakfast sandwhich up. Had to go back upstairs for them to warm it. Our bathroom was nasty, long black hairs ALLL over the place. What looked to be either small bits of pasta or small bites of pizza on the floor next to the tv/fridge. The beds were terrible. Like wake up with your back feeling like it’s thrown out. Which made for an uncomfortable vaca. Our tv, the screen was blue. No matter if trying to self adjust colors or using the presets. Within a few min, the tv would turn back blue. I thought I got a pic of the tv and food on the floor, but I guess not

The only thing we enjoyed was the heated indoor pools for my grandchildren. The worst part was that we were on the top (15th) floor and within our first 45 minutes of being in the room, I had killed 4 roaches. At one point my grandson thought there were "ants" in the bathroom, however they were baby roaches. Again, this was the TOP floor. I would hate to know how bad the lower floors were. I did not complain because I would have been shocked if the staff was not already aware of the problem and we were only there a couple of nights. The bed sheets were extremely clean and so I just made sure no one left anything on the floor and we had some chips and cookies that we kept in the refrigerator. I would never stay here again.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean. We had a nice view of the pool and the ocean and a wonderful breeze. This was our first time here but we will definitely be back-it’s our favorite hotel at Myrtle beach now. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

But other than that suit yourself! Loved that it was right in front of the beach and that it had a kitchenette where I made pancakes and eggs and had the whole view of the ocean! Can’t beat that!

Bathrooms and elevators are so small. There were 3 elevators and 1 broke down so the wait was very long. It was always hot in the room at night which made it very difficult to get a good night rest.

Hats off to staff at the front desk. Checking in was fast and easy. I have nothing to complain about! Everything was great! Being able to view the ocean in the morning is amazon. My girls and I enjoyed cooking all our meals and sitting on the balcony.We are plaining to return in November.

It was a little late in the season and you could see some wear and tear on the building, although there had been some remodelling since we stayed there two years ago. Property was a bargain for what it offered. Toilet was broken and would not flush without putting the flapper down manually. Beds were very firm but not necessarily uncomfortable. Housekeeping staff seemed to be friendly and hardworking. Staff at check in were unhelpful and would not let me insert the apple card I reserved the reservation on into their machine for the deposit. They told me the card had to have a number visible on it. Anyone familiar with new debit/credit cards should know that a printed or embossed number are not on some of these new cards and they rely on the chip and the virtual number through the account. Despite having used this same card to reserve this hotel and having used this same card on dozens of hotels and overseas, I was at a loss. I was forced to use another card I thankfully brought with me. Upon presentation of this new card, they didn’t even check to see if it had a visible number on it and let me insert it into the machine so the chip could be read (you know the very thing the Apple/mastercard could have done). The experience soured the whole experience for me really. Petty of me perhaps to get upset by such a ridiculous thing but the coldness and lack of understanding from the staff on this issue of technology ignorance really made me to never want to consider this place again.

The hotel (resort) was fine but I had a few concerns. There was never ice in any of the ice machines (maybe add more, one on each floor). We had 3 rooms on three different floors, only the 4th floor room ever had the trash emptied or towels offered. I did like the fact that there was a broom and dust pan in the rooms to keep up with the sand and I loved the fact that the beach was so close which made it easy to get all of our things there and back nice! Also, check in was quick!

I do believe that there customer services needs improvement. My room was never clean while I was there. I went to the front office to ask for a cooking pot at bigger than the one in the room. The rude front desk man. Told me I should go and buy one. I was very tired a I choose the 15th the key doesn't work had to come down couple of times. Finally I saw a maintenance guy I asked him to help me. I will never forget my experience and will not recommend the hotel to any of my friends and family members.

Booked a room with ocean view (not partial) and while ocean was off in the distance, our balcony was directly above the kiddie pool area (quite tacky and loud) so view was terrible. Hotel is old, dingy and in need of remodel / paint. Room appeared to be clean but when barefoot on floors they were sticky. Bathtub / shower had previous guest hair throughout tub. Gross. Absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed at in Myrtle Beach and I am from the Carolinas and have been visiting this beach for decades. Would never stay there again.

Perfect location, however the room was not as clean as it should have been, the elevators needs to be serviced, and the over all customer service was not good. I got stuck on one of the elevators, had a panic attack in the midst of it, and got off the elevator to the lady at the desk laughing. Trust and believe me I will not be going back and I definitely will not advise anyone to go there.

Hotel was nice over all, right on the beach so a great location. The staff was great and so friendly the entire time. The area was not bad but it did put me out of my comfort zone a bit as it was really loud outside. When you’re on the beach you don’t hear as much of the chaos and noise but walking the streets to shop and explore the town it was a little too much for me.

Even thoguth my floght was delayed my checking was easy in the morning and was updated to a suite just to make me forget a horrible moment my family and i had at Newark Airport. The hotel is very clean. We loved the view's of the ocean and all the swimming pools! Upon arrival our bathroom light kept flickering which they fixed promptly. The staff is friendly 🙂 The only downside of this hotel is no breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Myrtle Beach ⛱️

The first people we met upon arrival have a lot to learn about customer service. We traveled from Illinois to Myrtle Beach,SC. The evening shift staff were not at all welcoming. I travel a lot and usually when I am checking in the staff has always been informative of the hotel/ resort they tell you about the restaurant, the pools and any other information that they feel will allow you to enjoy your stay, not here they just wanted you to check in and if you didn’t read about the resort the young lady at the desk would say it was on the website when you made your reservation but most impressive was her failure to say simply stuff, such as your room key activates the elevator. No one told us about the bar or the bar hours and I had to call the front desk to inquire about the laundry room for guests. But note that Mr. Daniel on the graveyard shift was accommodating as well as understanding of my negative experience upon check in and Amber on the morning shift was friendly as well as approachable and allowed me to explain my check in experience with her as well as how the two people at the front desk made me feel. I didn’t exactly meet the housekeeper but she made sure we had fresh towels. Some people are just better at customer service than others. Other than the negative experience with the evening shift I enjoyed my time with my family. But I also felt like I was in a sauna every time I had to used the elevator.

There was roach eggs in the Cabinets and I had to kill a few roaches in the room. Make sure u bring your own towels for swimming because they don't feel the towels but early morning outside so if you dont get one early you miss out. Couldn't figure out how to sign into the television. The pools were clean and the kids enjoyed swimming.
