Super 8 by Wyndham Erwin, I-26 Exit 37

Convenient location. Half of the lamps did not work, and the TV had to be moved out from the wall to be plugged in. Grumpy lady night clerk should learn to greet her customers and look at them when they talk to her.

The property is in dire need of a major update. The people running it are living there. They advertise continental breakfast but there was nothing but coffee and some stale looking donuts. The carpet is very worn and needs replaced. The entire motel needs a complete remodel. At present it is being let go and has for a while. The owners are only interested in collecting money from overnight room fees and not putting anything back into maintaining the facility. Would not stay there again.

The night we arrived the power was out to the whole area including the hotel, though no fault of their own, and they had generator power, the air conditioning was not working on generator power. The hotel itself looked like it was going through some sort of minor renovation on the first floor hallway and that was kind of an eyesore. The room itself was outdated and the wallpaper was peeling. The facility just needs improvement for the price we paid. They clearly jacked up the price because of a special event in the general area and it was not worth what we paid.

We needed a room for one night and though the hotel was supposed to be smoke free the room hand bad smoke odor. The property is need to a remodel. The air conditioner was awesome though.

Owner supplied more towels and pillow upon asking. Bathtub stopper broken. Very few breakfast options - 2 bland cereals, bagels, and glazed doughnuts; no cream cheese for bagels just butter packets. Whole milk was sour but owner replaced upon asking. Owner threw birdseed out in parking lot that we had to walk through to get to our car.

In my experience , this Super 8 doesn't deserve the poor reviews. For my stay, everything was fine. The room and bathroom were clean, everything worked, and it was very quiet. Bonus for guest laundry facilities. The breakfast was minimal as other reviews have noted, but overall it's just what you wold expect from a Super 8

The hotel is bad even for a slightly cheaper price. The entire property is falling apart. The chairs were too filthy to touch. The bathroom tissue was stained. At least one bug crawled out from under the bed. This should have been a $40 hotel. I would never stay here again.

i should have looked for another hotel when i pulled up and saw a car not 6 feet away from the door that had i think the catalyitic converter exhaust system laying on the ground and , my guess was the son of the hotel manager actively working on it . it got worse after that The room had mold and mildew in the shower , and water damage marks spanning the whole room ceiling area. The electrical outlets blew our phone chargers stating detection moisture phone will not charge, since they new bought chargers worked in the car it was coming from the electrical outlets itself. Combined with the water damage ceiling area i can deduce the electrical outlets are at fault.My best recommendation is stay away from this hotel there are better ones around that you do not have to go to sleep worrying about what you are breathing in or what is going to spark from the electrcal problem.

This facility could use a little TLC in many areas. The bathroom vanity was non-existent and really needed one. The shower curtain needed to be replaced........growing black mold.

Smell was horrible, cockroach was in my bathroom.

Dirty room, AC Filters black and dirty,AC leaks on floor,chairs stained and unstable, til request envelope in room, door keys not operational. Left a day early as room was inadequate.

No one is ever at the front desk . I believe the owners live there , you dial O on house phone and maybe someone will come out . No maid service the next day . Would not come to desk at check out the woman on phone said just leave the key so I did not get a receipt . I was asked at check in if I would take a room with one bed . I asked if it were less expensive than the 2 bed room I paid for and was told no . Empty shampoo bottle from previous guest still in the shower . Took shower at 5:00 am when most are sleeping but hot water had to be turned to full hot . Stop being so cheap and turn the thermostat up . Corn flakes in breakfast area were simi fresh . Totally true , there was a dead pigeon on the sidewalk not far from the entrance . These owners were not spending a penny but we’re doing everything to maximize profit . Then they will sell and go to a new location and start over .

It was completely filthy and smelled like mold. And there was mold and in shower tube/ceiling

Pros- My room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked, tv had good channels Cons- quite a few but my main issue was this *BEWARE* I was charged an additional $10 fee plus tax beyond expedia for my 16 year old son traveling with my husband even though we asked for no extra keys,towels and only one person ate "breakfast." When initially questioned at check in was told age 10 and over counts as a 3rd person and I did not check that on my reservation. I chalked it up to my error until just for giggles I tried to book a room the same night via expedia and the room price difference wasone penny. When I brought it up to the other front desk employee (owner?) he said it didnt matter, expedia prices aren't right. We were tired and just needed a place to lay our heads (bring pillows because each full bed only has 2 pillows) so it was ok for 1 night. When we arrived in the room, the fridge was being defrosted and no one knew if the fridge was working however the owner addressed that quickly. Breakfast was bare minimum. Overall the hotel was what we needed and we felt pretty safe but if planning a more than 1 night crash with more than 2 people (or kids over 10) this is not the place for you.

Wonderful. The only disappointment was that my request for a bottom level floor could not be met. Hopefully on my next visit. I will be back. The family that runs the property are all lovely people. ❤️

There terrible they accused me of smoking in the room and I don’t even smoke they kicked me out then refused to give me my money back, so I had to call the authorities I don’t recommend anyone staying there they’re not even from this country

It is very clean and convenient to anything. And they have a hiker culture here if you happen to stop by leave an item in the hiker box for thru hikers to use.
