I liked that the parking was streamlined as far as you check in and pay for parking in the adjacent parking garage and don’t have to check in and then go find parking. You check in and it’s all done at one time, very convenient and easy to follow instructions. The staff was very nice and accommodating, especially Lauren. The room was nice, clean and updated.

The check in staff was not enough to accomodate the number of guests. Some rooms are facing Beale st, which means they are noisy. We stayed at the other side, not much noise but the windows doesn’t open, no fresh air just A/C. Smell of humidity in the room. The pool was dirty. Not enough equipment at the gym.

The property needs remodeling, elevators half time didn't work smoothly. The access to pool non-existent due to pool needed maintenance. Which was one of the main reasons I chose this property. The room floors were sticky and not just the tile area, the carpet too. The balcony had spider webs all over banisters, and needs repainted. Not a happy customer.

Perfect location for an overnight stay in Memphis if you wanna check out Beale Street. Self parking was 21$/night but that’s reasonable considering the location. Breakfast was just OK. Will stay there again if we’re in Memphis.

The hotel was very close to Beale St and parking was great. However, certaing things were in disrepair. The elevators were horrible. Only one of two was working and it was very untrustworthy! Same in the parking garage! Also, the front doors to the street were broken! We had to use a side door to get into and out of the building. A little attention to the maintenance of the property is in order I believe.

The whole reason we booked here was for the indoor pool for my 8 year old to have something to do on our long trip. At check in we asked how late the pool was open and they said 24 hours..cool! We thought-except for the fact the pool was closed and nobody knew. They said we could walk a couple of blocks to a sister hotel which we couldn’t find-ended up coming back to the hotel and the key card wouldn’t work and the handle fell off the door! One elevator was broken and out of commission…staff was rude and not willing to do anything to account for the fact we were not happy about them not telling us the pool was closed. The lady at the desk just said “we aren’t a motel 6” when we complained about the expensive room when things were broken or out of commission. She was very rude

Extremely clean hotel including the common areas. The bathroom was great. It had plenty of counter space and was clean. We were given free blues music entertainment until 11pm from a local venue. I would absolutely recommend this property.

The ease of getting into the hotel is nice. At first glance I thought it needed a little updating and some good deep cleaning. Once we got into the room it got worse. The carpet is gross. Bring flip flops. The shade to the one window in the room is broken and you cannot lift it to let light in. The map shades are all stained and broken. The floor in the bathroom was just disgusting. I would not walk barefoot on it. It was a handicap accessible bathroom I assume because there was no separation between shower and the rest of it and the entire floor was soaked after a shower. It just needs a good deep clean and some updating. For the price we paid we could’ve stayed at a nicer hotel and not been afraid to touch anything because it didn’t look clean. All of the employees we encountered were very nice, helpful and friendly. We told them about the room just because we wanted to make sure we weren’t held accountable for the broken window and lamp shades. They stated they knew about it. I would. It stay here again. Find somewhere else where you get what you pay for. You can stay at the Peabody for the price of the Hampton Inn.

Room was especially clean and large. The bed was comfortable. I booked a handicap accessible room because during booking I thought I was getting a balcony room. Unfortunately it was not, and had a view of the alley. Air conditioning was not cooling, but maintenance came up quickly and fixed it. Staff was efficient and the check in and check out process was quick. The tv was mounted in such a way if was not easily visible from the bed. An adjustable bracket would have easily alleviated this issue. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Hampton Inn on Beale is one of the best locations for easy access to Beale Street.

Great location! Very comfortable bed and nice room. However, the room carpet was filthy; a common issue with some hotels. My feet were black after a few hours in the room. Breakfast bar was ok. Sausage needed to be cooked more. Otherwise, all else was great and I will likely be back.

Everything at the hotel was good, and I would go back to it or other Hampton Inns, however our room looked out at Beale Street, and the music was loud until late at night. Ear plugs were provided, but they weren't all that good. So, if you want to stay here, walking distance from Beale Street, ask for a room on the side that is furthest from Beale Street!

Our room had a darkening shade that would not go up so we could not see the sun. It was broken and could not be fixed. Then late at night we discovered we had only lukewarm water in the shower. We had to request several times for them to try to fix it. Which also means we had to wait in the room and could not leave to go do anything. When they couldn't fix it the guy at the desk just shrugged his shoulders. I had to suggest another room. They did provide it and it was a step up ( it was a 2 room suite), however he acted like I was asking for a lot and seemed to be bothered by me. They said no one had ever complained about the room before, which I find unbelievable. It had no hot water. We had to move our stuff on our own without any help. We were lucky they had another room with a disabled bathroom for my husband. Our room was never cleaned while we were there and we had no new towels. Plus the air conditioner did not work well in the first room as well. I have stayed in Hampton Inn before and things were much better. The only thing good about this hotel was the location. You can walk to Beale street and other attractions

Rooms were clean with plenty of pillows and towels. Great service and excellent breakfast. Check in was a breeze. Even though we were downtown Memphis, we felt safe in the hotel and area and appreciated all the safety measures that were in place. Will definitely stay here again!

What a great hotel. Check in was easy and quick. Staff was all very nice and inviting. Helpful for anything you need including lists of restaurants and answers to question. Location cannot be beat. Walk out of the hotel and you have live music and food steps away. Breakfast was fantastic. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I come back. Also it seems to be about a 2 minute walk to grizzlies game. You can hear the live music outside but it didn’t bother me. They actually put sets of ear plugs on the nightstand! And the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Highly recommend!!!!!!

On 15 February, 2024, I booked a reservation for my parents at the Hampton Inn & Suites Memphis-Beale Street for 22-24 March, 2024. The reservation was paid in full at the time of booking and was non-refundable, per condition of the hotel. My parents arrived at the property shortly before 7 PM on Friday, 22 March, to check in for their reservation. They were told by the person working the desk that the hotel had overbooked and could not provide their reserved room. They were told they would be sent to another property for their reservation. They were told the hotel randomly selects guest rooms to relocate guests to a different property when they are overbooked. This was entirely unacceptable and grossly unprofessional, especially because this is a Hilton/Hampton Inn property. I reserved at this property due to its close proximity to the Orpheum where they had tickets for a show the next day. This experience caused unnecessary stress for what should have been a routine process. The hotel never contacted me or my parents prior to indicate any issue with the reservation. The person at the front desk later found a room at their hotel after someone left unexpectedly. My parents were told they would have to pay an upgrade fee because the room was a King Bedroom Suite vs the King Bedroom that was reserved and paid for. Again, this was highly discourteous and grossly unprofessional. They were charged an exorbitant fee over an error the hotel made.

The maintenance man/security man was drunk, and came to the room multiple times knocking on the door. I called down to inform the front desk and they could not get him to leave he came 3 times. It was scary. It was only women in the room. This was the worst stay I felt unsafe terrible experience!

A block away from Beale Street where all the bars & restaurants are. Also a block away from Fed Ex center for concerts & sporting events. Other sreets are scarce of people so the hotel is in an excellent location. Free breakfast gives you a good option of choices. Staff was not knowledgeable of city tours so you have to figure it out yourself. Uber is very reasonable and fast for the airport and tourist attractions. Room was large, beds were comfortable bathroom was adequate. No outside noise but my stay was Tues thru Thursday. Indoor pool and gym, neither was crowded. Other hotels you have to walk down isolated streets to get to Beale Street where all the action is & it becomes a bit scary.

This location is perfect if you are planning on enjoying all Beale Street has to offer or if you are going to the Orpheum Theatre. (It was less than a five minute walk.) I was worried about the lights/noise but we didn't notice them. The friendly and professional staff made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast attendant (I didn't catch her name) was the kindest lady. If I had to make a suggestion for an improvement it would be to please remind cleaning staff to refill shampoo/soap/lotion dispensers-ours were empty. Overall-great experience!

From check in to check out, this is hands down an excellent hotel!!! Aramis checked us in and was on duty both nights of our stay. He was engaging, knowledgeable and funny! Ashley made breakfast so much fun and even refilled our coffee and juice cups as well as throwing away our dishes when we finished. She was so engaging and service oriented it felt like we were eating at a family member's house!

Room Service was terrible, They did not informed us that the rooms are made every other day. Took 3 phone calls to front desk to get extra towels. The breakfast area is very small, there was not sitting available and they ran out of food and took forever for them to replenish. Location is very convenient.

Great spot for Beale Street activities. Walked to food, music and shopping. Also walked, 1/2 a mile, to the river for a dinner cruise. Plenty of light to walk back. Room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was good, the usual for Hampton Inn. Setting area was large and had private tables. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
