Southern charm all over the place, probably the best hotel in Memphis near two streets off of Beale.

I was hoping for more, with the Peabody being recognized as a more elegant hotel. Although the lobby and restaurants were nice. The room was not. It was humid, the beds were only full size not queen as with most hotels. Obviously the view was not great as the windows had been covered with some type of clear film that blurred the outside. I would rather have seen the alley or whatever was out there. The bathroom was dimly lit and had mold on the shower head and walls. The worst part was the noise! The first night someone was yelling and cursing loudly, I tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room was not functioning I did notify the front desk the next morning and the phone was fixed. It was a good thing because the next night I had people across the hall partying, when I called to the front I was put on hold for 20minutes before someone picked up. For the price I would rather have stayed at Bass Pro or The Guesthouse. Needless to say the Peabody was a one and done experience for me.
