Room was very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of parking. Quiet area.

Easy to find and park. Solid breakfast. Pool was nice, but not very big. Room was spacious, but fold out couch bed had a large stain. Normal bed mattresses were okay.

Good parking, comfortable beds, adjustable room temperature. Room smelled clean & looked clean.

We stayed for one night on a cross country trip. The fitness room was great and open 24/7 which allowed us a late check in and do a workout to get the kinks out before getting an awesome night's sleep. Easy on and off the interstate! Everything was clean and breakfast was hot and ready in the morning. Thank you!

They ran out of toilet paper and tissues on our 3rd day there. The pool was listed as opened it was not. Breakfast foods coffee etc always out of 3 to 4 items. If you needed anything you had to go locate front desk staff because they were never there. I feel bad for all the complaints I never do however it was not a Holiday Inn experience we are used to.

If I could give 10 Stars about my experience at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Memphis Southwind, I would! The front desk staff members were very accommodating, friendly, and professional. They went out of their way to ensure that I enjoyed a comfortable stay. The amenities and rooms were exceptionally clean and equipped with modern appliances and furniture. The rooms were exactly as shown on the website. The housekeepers were very available daily, and they did an excellent job with making sure that I had plenty of linens and toiletries. Hot and freshly cooked breakfast was available every morning, along with complimentary coffee and tea. The food was delicious! There were plenty of breakfast options to choose from. I also enjoyed spending time in the gym, as well as relaxing in the pool. Both allowed 24 hour access, which was an added bonus! I highly recommend the Southwind location. Whenever I’m in Memphis, this property will be my first choice for a hotel stay!

Private location on side street but road is rough. Elevator broke on second day and I had to walk up three flights of stairs. I don’t do stairs well at my age. Breakfast was okay but limited. Key cards didn’t work on third day. Adequate stay

Vending options were limited. Washing Machine was broken. Juice Machine was not working and seldom had juice in refrigerator.

The elevator was down the entire trip. Having to go up and down flights of stairs especially with luggage is a huge inconvenience

Every staff member I came in contact with was very friendly and helpful! Overall the hotel is clean. Elevator is very slow. Breakfast was not that great. The eggs were watery and the biscuits were not soft or fluffy. We ended up eating breakfast out due to the food quality on the other mornings.

No breakfast and no towels. Mold and vents dirty

I found lot of bugs and cleanness was not on the top.

Had a roach pop out of behind our pillow while we were in bed and then about 5 minutes later had one come from underneath the air conditioner and try to get in our shoes.

Overall the hotel was clean and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. I liked that the bathroom had Dove products, hand soap and lotion which was located on the wall by the bathroom sink and shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the shower wall. We were not pleased that we left for an outing and came back and the room had not been cleaned. Went to the front desk to make them aware and requested that we want the room cleaned the next day. Meantime in order to get fresh towels we had to bring the used towels to the front desk in order to get fresh towels. The next day noticed the cleaning woman at a room down the hall working her way in the opposite direction of our room. I approached her and she could not her me as she had earplugs in and a man from the cleaning staff had to get her attention in Spanish. The woman did not speak any English. Upon trying to speak to her she radioed another woman who spoke little English but enough to understand what I was trying to convey. She went on to say that our room was not on the list to be cleaned. Went down to the front desk and spoke again to person at desk and they stated the room was in fact on the list to be cleaned. Upon our exit from the room a woman was in the hall and kept saying “I am going to clean your room.” We said “thank you and left for the day. When we came back we could see linen had been changed and new towels were there. The pictures are showing how she replaced towels and how sloppy bed was made.

Yes, nice staff and clean rooms

The first room they put us in the air conditioner, wouldn’t work, but whenever I pulled out the hidebed there was food under it and a lid that goes to a Slurpee cup so I asked them to move us to another room, which was a little bit more of an improvement, but the hideaway bed had no sheets and the sheet that was on the bed look old and used -

Located near major roadways. Very convenient to the soccer sports complex. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Simple breakfast, but very convenient. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The only issue we had was with noise from the rooms above.

Went to visit family. Was greeted by staff upon arrival and was checked in quickly. The room was nice and spacious. The bathroom is nice and clean as well. Beds are super comfy. It was like we were sleeping on a cloud. Duvets should be clipped by the corners though, the duvet kept moving around clumping in the cover, but it’s manageable. It’s a hotel and they’re constantly changing and washing so it’s understandable. Your stay comes with breakfast but it was unavailable when I stayed so I’m unsure what they offer. Parking loops around the building and I loved it. I was able to see our vehicle from our window. The area was pretty safe though. Sheriffs would be outside at night patrolling sometimes also. Overall experience was excellent. Room and staff was good. I will definitely book this hotel again the next time i need to visit Memphis.

The water pressure in the showers are very low.

The ac didn’t work and the room was very muggy. The roller leaked and floor was wet in bathroom and entry the whole time. They offered to move us but we were both working 10 hour days so we were always just too exhausted.

This hotel is fine. Bed was comfortable.

The room we were in siiye was way larger than we expected copared to other hotel suites we stayed in wound stay there again in Memphis.

Large room with king bed and a chaise-bed comfortable, clean. Good sized bathroom w walk in shower-could have better water pressure but was adequate. Staff was pleasant and processed check in quickly even changing me from 2nd floor to first as I requested. Pool and gym looked clean and nice although I didn’t get to use either. Parking at night tricky to get spot near entry doors, well lit. Hotel a little isolated between another hotel and the interstate exit-but location by 385hwy made for easy access to all parts of city. Will use this hotel again.

Our original room had a moisture feel to the air, the bed was damp, and so were the toilet paper rolls. When I asked the front desk about it, the front desk clerk was awesome enough to let me check out another room to see if we would like to switch. She let us switch with no issues and we were right down the hall on the same floor so less distance to move our luggage.

The card keys were down the whole stay, someone had to manually let us in every time, hardly any breakfast options. Juice was out, milk was out. Charged me more than what hotels.com stated, had to fight to get a refund. Not a good place.

Room was not available as booked, they moved me to a different hotel without notifying me.

When we checked in we were informed that we would not have keys to our room and staff would have to let us in each time. I inly had breakfast once the last day of our stay. The cook was very standoff and not replenishing things we didn't have plates, coffee stirs, the bacon was delicious. Room as great until I used the microwave it was dirty. I would have expected a refund as to the inconvenience of being locked out. Top it all off no keys had been Goin on for over a week. I should've been notified about this prior to check-in. But I guess they didn't want to loose business and like their staff to work super hard. Leaving roim doors unlocked is not safe practice.

Staff was not friendly especially the lady that prepared breakfast. She never smiled or said one word even when e guest tried to engage her in conversation. The options were bare minimum and they did not have juice the entire 3 mornings we were there. They did not have bowls our last day, which was incredibly frustrating considering cereal was probably the best option to eat. I come to the area several times a year for sports events, I think this will be my last time staying here.

Review would be better, but the room key system was not working, and staff said it had not been working for 2 weeks. Front desk staff had to run up and down stairs to unlock the room door every time we needed to go in. We should have been given a reduced rate

Arrived during a snowstorm and car wouldn’t start the next morning. Staff offered their own vehicles to jump battery. Very accommodating. Held luggage in secure location. Great breakfast, nice room, friendly staff.

Clean Rooms, close to everything

I like that the hotel is in a nice area and shopping and restaurants is walking distance.

Conveniently off the highway, but tucked away off of the main rains. It was clean & perfect for a one night stay while traveling through.

have stayed in this hotel many times for business and have consistently been impressed with the cleanliness, the comfort, friendliness of employees, quality of the breakfast offered. It's location gives easy access to interstate and areas of shopping and restaurants nearby (but not walking distance really)

The property is family friendly. Just by the interstate. Easy to find and lots of parking space. Safety is definitely not an issue. Very polite staff and helpful staff. Has a decent breakfast buffet.

Cold, clean rooms. Well-maintained facilities. Courteous staff. Good breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuit, cinnamon rolls, cereal, juice). Area seemed safe. One side of the hotel faces a busy highway so if you need quiet, you might want to request a room on the other side. Worth the money spent. Would recommend.

The staff is pleasant, room was clean. We were here for a family reunion and the only thing I regret is that we didn’t get a hotel closer to downtown Memphis/ Beale Street area.

It is consistent with other H.I. Express properties. They are always top notch. This property did not disappoint. The layout/flow of the breakfast bar was awesome. The eggs I especially enjoyed. The cinnamon roll is my favorite.

Clean rooms but don't come for the breakfast! Saturday morning served cold eggs, sausage and nothing else. No pancakes, no pastries, no oatmeal, no yogurt, only a couple apples, watered down juice. Very disappointed. All of these items were advertised and space was provided for them, they were just not out. 2 workers said they ran out or did not arrive on the delivery truck and that this typically happens. We appreciate the clean room but we also booked this place based on the advertisement of a good hot breakfast. The pictures are very misleading.

It was a 5 minute check in at the most and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

The room was nice. The breakfast needed help. Juice machine was broken and waffle machine didn't work. They were out of a lot of things. And we were there around 8 in the morning.

Didn’t like the low water pressure in the shower. Pancake maker and juice machine not working. Scrambled eggs were delicious!

Check in was quick, they had our key ready for us. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. However, if you're expecting breakfast get down there very early. Hours are from 6:30-9:30... We went down at 9 and they were out of everything... Including milk for cereal! No juice...no nothing....1 apple lol...so, if you're looking for a comfortable room this is a great place if you can skip the free breakfast.
