Memphis Riverline Hotel

We had a conference and it was at the Reagan’s Convention Center, which was connected to it by a bridge. There was a lovely restaurant. Our room was sizable and the rollaway that I used was unbelievably comfortable. Everyone was kind and friendly.

Check in was quick. Parking is by valet only and somewhat annoying. The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. The double room was a fantastic size as was the bathroom. The restaurant has much to be desired. Waited for a long time to have our drink order taken then our meal order. The food tasted frozen and undercooked and is definitely overpriced. The elevator smelled like weed.

Our room had electrical issues and the walls were chipping. Pool/Gym closed.

I like everything except for the fact that the swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool was closed and they did not tell us when I made reservations

One of the main things I was looking forward to, was the gym. The gym was out of order. Real bumper. My hotel stay was good. I would stay there again.

Upon arrival to the hotel the main amenities very nice had to wait quite a bit just to get checked in watch several employees just stand around doing nothing while I was being checked in by one person that would actually working after the four or five of us finally got checked in went up to my room that was very dated carpet had stains all over the place bathroom tub backed up every time we took a shower toilet backed up called maintenance they're supposed to fix it out of my entire stay never got fixed elevator doors make you feel like you're about to plummet to your death every time they open cuz they are so loud and screeching employees are not nice I met one older gentleman my entire time here who was very nice and considerate other than that everyone I talk to either just seem like they didn't care or we're just rude. Overnight parking on property is $32 a day so for almost $70 to stay there for 2 days I expected decent service for valet which did not happen every time I came back after work and every time I want to leave to go somewhere or go to work I had to chase somebody down to get keys to my car to be able to leave they were never after area to help people with their cars and if you're paying almost $70 and that does not include a tip and they expect to be tipped even though they have horrible service this place just is not worth it it is downtown the building itself is very nice from the outside but as soon as you step inside to your rooms not worth it don't go.

There is a skywalk from Sheraton to the Renasant center. Handy and safe for attending functions there. Staff was helpful and courteous always. I saw them escorting people off the property who were not staying at the hotel, so they do monitor. Sadly, There were lots of homeless people in this area. But I would stay here again in the future.

On top of room charge there was a 32 dollar fee to park. Or could park on other side of busy street.

Good location. Walking distance to Beal St. Bad: lots of homeless people hanging around. Was told by staff not it's not safe at night to walk. But Lift and Uber and Cabs are available. One of 6 elevators was not working the whole time. Then Saturday afternoon/ night all 4 stopped working. As well as the escalators. Didn't receive room service on Saturday. Asked multiple times for towels. Never received clean towels.

Mandatory valet parking is not acceptable.

Through Expedia, at a $110 for the night turned into an extra $50 due to a little extra early arrival rain was ready. Immediately. Then had to pay for parking $32 which is only valet and unsafe surroundings outside to park. Homeless people surrounding hotel, front street and all around the convention center. Most all the rain turned out as if it was cleaned, but the bed had 2 holes sunk in severely. They told it was Poo from the front end, never cleaned. The bathtub had a slight line in the back. Shampoo was broke off the wall with a piece of tape sitting on the soap rack. The floor was not swept normod. Due to spots and some grit and dust webs behind the toilet, no liners in the trash cans and the carpet had two areas of some type of piece of trash obviously was not vacuumed. Thank goodness I always bring my own cleaners. I have my own Cleaning business and this is not acceptable for the price of a high in hotel. I will never return or at least in Memphis tennessee, downtown. Anyone reading this? I recently stayed at Home2 It was perfect, so clean, I did not want to leave,safe and very nice parking. Available walmart, nearby and answers when questions needed.

The Valets were awesome! Front desk service was fine. The room was ok. Clean but the windows looking out were filthy and hard to see through. Neither of our phones worked in the room to call down. The food at the hotel was pretty good and the lobby was clean and quiet. Overall it was a good place to stay with easy access to tourist spots.

The hallway on our floor smelled like someone had been smoking weed. I said something at the front desk and they said no smoke alarms had gone off . It was strong and nasty smelling. The facet in the shower/tub also had a constant drip .

Bugs in room. Dirty shower that didn’t drain.

The hotel smelled of urine every where

Great hotel with very friendly staff in a very convenient location. Rooms were clean and tidy.

The carpet and chairs were dirty and there was a lizard in my room!

This is an older hotel, so there are visible signs of wear and tear and/or outdated decor in some areas. Despite this, the hotel is well maintained and clean. Our room was clean and bigger than we expected. Parking will be a challenge. It’s a pain to pay extra for parking but the valet staff and service made up for it. Overall, we had no issues with our stay.

The only problem i had was that the shower curtain was gross. There was snot on the shower curtain

The room was clean, and I slept so well. The halls were quiet, and I had a very peaceful stay.

The rooms are nice and large. Very comfortable beds.

Air conditioning not working. Then maintenance repair but room stay warm. Tempt did not go below 74. Difficult to sleep

HVAC was out in our room. Instead of offering another option. Engineer came up. Said it was working would take time to cool. We had been on the road all day and was exhausted. Fell asleep woke up to 75 degrees. Called front desk again. They said compressor was out we have to move your room. This was 1am. Unacceptable. This was handled so poorly. Guest was inconvenienced and perception from staff was that we were a bother. Your valets and that service was incredible

Absolutely no issue with the hotel. We had noisy neighbors who were slamming doors at 2am. Did not contact the desk. There would have been nothing they would have been able to do.

On the edge of downtown but within walking distance of everything. Nice upscale property with clean and spacious rooms. Stayed on the 18th floor in a corner suite and had a great view of the bridge and the pyramid. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Great property and will be my new place to stay when I return.

Was shocked that the double beds were full size instead of queen. I did not see that in any description. We had a room on the 5th floor whose window butted up to the lobby and the noise was quite loud until 11:30-midnight. Other than that, the staff was beyond exceptional, and the rooms were clean!

Loved the tenth-floor view. But the temperature in the room was hotter than it was outside!!! Maintenance even came and fixed it momentarily, but by the time I came back, it was the same. TOO HOT.

The air messed up multiple time while we were there. When we got to the hotel we had to leave it was so hot in the room. Came back and it was even hotter. They fixed it and it took all night to cool off. Checkout day I woke up middle of the night to it not working again. Every time I mentioned it to the desk the subject was avoided and nothing was done to remedy the inconveniences. So we left hours earlier than expected overall a very poor experience for what should be a great trip.

The rooms need newer tv’s. The tvs are old, you cannot log in to stream movies and the tv reception for the local channels is poor quality.

Our greeting was poor. The gentleman seemed almost put out that we booked through a 3rd party, or that he had to check us in at all. The tv doesn’t allow us to hook up the Roku AND it is not a smart tv so we could only watch basic tv. Even cheap hotels allow you to log in to your Netflix. The people never showed up for cleaning or to replenish anything like coffee. They only provide powder creamer which is disgusting. Offfer creamers please. I have no idea why we paid double our usual hotel price. There is no value other than being attached to the venue for the event. I will choose a different hotel next time.

We had a nice trip, we were in town for a concert. The hotel was clean, towels were fresh... valet and staff were amazing.

Valet personal was great every interaction, Richard the doorstop was great and a lot of help since I had my handicap mother with us. And the manager was extremely friendly and professional. Will stay here again when visiting!!

What I liked about the facility was I observed there was someone always watching the area when we walked in. What I didn't like was that our room was not cleaned or checked on the three days we were there, we ran out of body wash in the shower I spoke to someone at the desk who let the staff know that our room was not even checked on, we left went out shopping and come back still nothing had been done. I spoke with a young lady who was cleaning up down the hallway she gave us fresh towels and face cloths for the remainder of our stay. she was very helpful I'm so thankful for her, I understand how thing can fall through the crack just letting ya know what happened while we were there. I had a bad experience. I had several flight delays. I called ahead of time to share that I had a late check in. It was around 1am that I arrived and I was told by the front desk that I no longer had a room. I had already prepaid through Expedia. They said it wasn't their fault. The building manager came to the line of people and said there was nothing he could do. I sat down to try and cancel and refund my stay through Expedia. I was so tired and frustrated. About 15 minutes later the building manager came over and tapped my shoulder and said he "found" a room for me. None of this made sense but I was able to get a room to sleep in. This created an incredibly poor customer experience.

Double charged me, and is refusing to return my calls regarding the issues.

Staff were great for St. Jude marathon

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel. I was very happy with the service I received. They let me check in early, which was a great asset! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Very poor customer service.. Said rooms were not available because they were not cleaned... Not willing to do anything to accommodate a room that I paid for on Hotel.com... Paid for much more than what I got... Very poor service, indeed!!!

I had to kept asking for them to clean my room which wasn’t done and bring me soap for 2 days

Lots of homeless, downtown area not very clean, and the restaurants around the area were closed. No continental breakfast or coffee offered in the morning.

I was here for business and the hotel was located in downtown Memphis. Perfectly located for dining and my meeting.

Staff not friendly, not safe to walk around,

This location was perfect for walking to most things we wanted to see. We walked to Beale Street, Rock and Soul Museaum, Peabody Hotel, waterfront. We drove 15 min. to Graceland and 5 min. to the Civil Rights Museum. Our room had a view of the Mississippi River and bridges which light up at night with a colorful display.

Closeness to restaurants and events.

The hotel was very nice; but when a truck driver rolls down his window to warn us that the area was not safe, you need to be concerned and watch out.

Good location. Convenient for getting around town and access to the convention center. Memphis' trolley is not running and that is a problem for getting to Beale St and other points on the Main St Mall. That diminishes the score from a 5 to a 4.

Hotel was nice but the area was not the best. Should have known when we walked in and security was in the lobby. Had a gun pulled on us in the street. Left early after night one.

It was very frustrating that the only food option in the entire place was overly expensive with a very limited menu. As it isn't the very best area of town, it would be nice if there was a restaurant with more affordable options

Reservation said it includes buffet breakfast. There was no buffet and restaurant was closed. Only menu items for which I was charged. At front desk I said I should t have been charged as breakfast came with the room; they said they reversed it but still shown up on my credit card as a charge

The room was OK -- nothing super special. I was disappointed that there was no microwave in the room. Also, there was minimal drawer space. I was more disppointed there was no vending -- they forced me to purchase sodas at the mini-store by the front desk for $5 each. If there was an ice machine anywhere, I never saw it. The prices at the only available restaurant were also too high -- $24 for an ordinary burger and fries, for example. The convenience to the convention center was absolutely great, and this hotel has not joined the "no room service" trend of late. Good things.

The valet parking person was by far the nicest person on staff. We paid for a full breakfast which was not a full breakfast. It was grab n go breakfast sandwiches, of which you are allowed to get two items and two drinks per person.

Restaurant food and breakfast buffet are really good. All staff were very accomodating and friendly. Rooms are quiet. Elevators are convenient. Ice machines in the floors are great.

The dinning staff service in the lobby bar area was extremely slow. Guests were waiting well over 1hr 45 min for their meals to come to the table. Drink service was slow. There was a lot of dust in my room along with some tiny ants. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Maintenance was called to fix it the first night and it stopped working during the night . I was too tired to call front desk again after traveling 5 hr to get there.

I like this property, have stayed here a couple times before. My request with regard to the room was fulfilled—nice room. There were some signs of previous guests (long dark hair in bathroom, eye drop vial on floor by desk. Room service was a larger concern. Ordered two entrees (NY Steak, Ribs) plus dessert. Was surprised that the food was brought in a bag, $100 worth of food in boxes. I was expected to cut my steak with the world’s flimsiest plastic utensils. I couldn’t do it and had to call for real silverware. Why was the food not plated? We’re a few years past the pandemic folks. There were further deficiencies the next morning at breakfast in the dining room, which I won’t detail here. Food was good, but the dismal presentation of the room service orders was so disappointing. I have a number of instances of travel to this city in the coming months—have to weigh whether to return to this property.

Offered free breakfast at restaurant in hotel for becoming a Bonvoy member, it was closed next morning. Tried to buy glass of wine when got in late, bar was closed and not beer or wine sold in small store, told to walk a mile in downtown Memphis late at night

Love it for Cannon Center venues. Great breakfast.
