A very pleasant 2-night stay in McAllen, there in the famous Rio Grande Valley birding area. "Easy parking" because after the CHALLENGE of patiently driving through the road construction on the road fronting the property, there is plenty of parking around the motel, and we felt safe parking there. "Quiet" because despite the roadways, inside the facility and our rooms seemed calming, quiet to me. All staff in all areas were pleasant and helpful! Our original room was fine enough. Then as we prepared for bed the over-sink light fixture bulb burnt out, and we were promptly offered & pleasantly changed to an upgraded room. Only issue with that nice room was the few gnats that we believe were coming out of the sink overflow and drain. Beds and all were comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and the morning hostess was wonderfully pleasant.

It was an excellent option in Mcallen. All the staff is very kind, specially the ladies form the kitchen in the morning. They were very nice. The pool was great, clean and comfortable. I recomend this hotel.

Due to a large group of people staying at the hotel for a softball tournament, they left all the common areas dirty, the ice machines empty, and the trash bins overflowing. My son contracted conjunctivitis in the pool, and he is still experiencing discomfort.

The area is safe and the best part ...you can easlily go shopping walking to a different stores that are next to the hotel. The pool is also very clean and have a very good full breakfast on the frontdesk from 6:30- 10am. Rooms are very clean and the aircondition was also ok. We'll book in the futire for sure.

The breakfast was good Saturday it was chorizo and eggs or plain version, beans, waffles, cereals. Then Sunday we go in and no meat. If you are going to charge me over $80 a night for this old hotel then my breakfast should be worth not going to the best Western down the street or any other hotels that are a lot cheaper.

Really a very good choice, either for personal, business and/or familiar trips. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. The hotel is near the mall and you can walk a few steps to reach. I really recommend!

For an older building this hotels is well taken care of. The rooms are a little old school but definitely not worn down but well taken care of. The place is quite and A/C is great alomg with the beginning. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Didn’t realize it was a motel. I was responsible but 11 girls for a sporting event so I booked thinking it was a normal Best Wester Hotl, which I normally always love. Was just shocked upon arrival

Everything was going as planed buy at the time of leaving the hotel I was in a hurry and I forgot my Phone I noticed it right away but I check with another device and showed that it was at the hotel I went to do what I needed to do thinking that I was going to get it back I remember where I left it and everything but no they said that no one found anything I don’t like problems but I do report them and they where aggressive when I came back so I did not get my phone back

Check in and out was super easy and quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night, there was one noise problem in the shopping center at the back of the hotel, but the staff handled it quickly and we had a very peaceful night. The room was clean, breakfast was good, we will most definitely stay again.

Understaffed at the check in counter, at check in time, on a Saturday that kicks of a major holiday week, is not proper planning. This creates a bottle neck and unnecessarily long lines and disgruntled guests at the start of their stay. Could have been easily avoided. Breakfast was ok.

My reservation was arriving Friday and leaving on Sunday. I called on Friday (they say we were supposed to arrive) to tell the property I will be arriving until Saturday and asked to hold my reservation. I arrived on Saturday to try to check in and my room was no longer available. Front desk and management were kind to find us a room in another property but the experience was truly uncomfortable. Not what we expected from a trustworthy hotel chain as Best Western.

Check in and out was super easy and quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night, there was one noise problem in the shopping center at the back of the hotel, but the staff handled it quickly and we had a very peaceful night. The hotel is well located near every major store. The locations feel safe and is easily accessible. The bathroom is poorly light. The water faucet in the bathtub was faulty and didn't serve hot water. The staff in the breakfast area is not friendly at all The hotel could benefit from a gym or exercise area.
