It was loud in the room—could hear the highway and people in the hallway. The shower was terrible. Pool and workout rooms were good. Although the pool was pretty small.

Great place to stay in SA for a layover or quick getaway. They do have a bar on the first floor and a courtyard where there is partying going on but it shuts down early enough for your typical guest to not be bothered by the noise.

As you enter lobby of this iconic hotel, its architecture makes you feel as if you are in a colonial part of Mexico and immediately you have a craving for a margarita. I am glad that the rooms have been remodeled. The staff was great. Also, the free shuttle service to and from the airport is a big plus. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Best price for the value.

We used to love this hotel, service and amenities however, each of our last 2 stays, we had our vehicle broken into. Their parking lot is just not secure and the security guard is ineffective. Avoid and find a hotel with a secure lot.

The architecture and design was lovely. And the front desk and restaurant servers were kind and courteous! The cleanliness was not good in the bathroom-floors and shower were dirty.

Check in was easy. Location is good. Room was not serviced, we had to call for towels. The carpet had residual dirt & human hair -yuck. AC was good and bed was comfortable. Shower was hot and water pressure was good

We stayed in the courtyard. The smell when walking in was that of mold and dampness. The vent had mold spots. The paint was chipping from the walls. The water pressure from the shower was so faint, not good with thick hair. The sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. Worst of all, the AC would not maintain temp, it was so hot at night. Plus- the pool water temp was very cold! This hotel was so nice on the outside I was dissatisfied that it wasn’t as nice inside.

The building was beautiful a the pool ares was beautiful. It had an old spanish vibe witch was awesome. The lobby and bar ares was nice. The rooms were not great. I would have to compare them with a motel room with cleaner beds. The rooms are very small and the entry way to the room barely had enough room for the baggage cart to fit. There was no lock on the bathroom door. When i went to order room sevice ( which i found out they do not have) the phone line was not attached to the phone. I had to move the table that the phone was on and lean it forward to get the phone cord that was caught underneath. While i was grabbing the phone cord i saw a bunch of dust on the floor and nase board. It looked like that area hadn't been dusted in at least a year. The room over all, was ok. But it wasn't worth anything near what i paid. When i checked in the lady added $100 charge for incidentals and told me i would get it back when i checked out unless there was damage to the room or something had been taken. But when i checked out that extra $100 was charged as all kinds of taxes. So i didn't get any of it back. Also, The room looked nothing like the pictures on the website.

Can stay again in a pinch but it does have very thin walls. On the first night we had terrible sleep because we could hear the guy next door snoring the whole night. We got a new room the next day for two reasons, the snoring and trouble with the toilet. There was no plunger available until facilities came in the following day.

We stayed here because it was close to the airport. It's large, with a big lobby. Our room was on the first floor, close enough to the lobby that we got some unwelcome lobby noise. Also, our ground floor room looked right out into the parking lot, forcing us to keep our curtains closed for privacy. The room was clean, though, and a lot of dining options were nearby. Stay in one of the upstairs rooms if you stay here.

The hotel was really nice and our room was spacious and clean. The only thing I would say is that there were a lot of events the weekend we stayed. The first night seemed like a business holiday party the music was bumping through the walls and we could hear grown men screaming and yelling throughout from the courtyard. The second night the music was even louder. Luckily that music ended earlier than the night before. Even though that was a bit annoying we’d still stay here again because the experience outside of that was great.

Unfortunately we picked a weekend where the hotel had events going on.. So it was real noisy when me and my kids were trying to sleep. Besides the insufficient sleep we all got. It was still a real nice hotel

The staff are professional and polite. I used the gym and the lady cleaning the gym noticed the water dispenser was empty and immediately left to bring a full bottle. She then poured a cup and brought it to me. What an amazing gesture! Some staff, however, are unattentive to their surroundings. For example, the weather was hot and ice water was offered in the lobby by the elevator for guests. Once the ice water dispenser was empty it was never refilled. Late the following morning, it was still empty. That shows lack of care and poor upper management. The morning servers are outstanding, hardworking, cool, calm and collected. LOVE Monica! Our breakfasts were very nicely prepared. Thank you chefs! The night bar tenders were not amicable at all, so we didn't return. Perhaps it was an off night. All in all, it was a good stay. The place is nice but we could tell management was disjointed. Your star acheivers are saving the day!

Overall good experience. The staff was not very friendly. They stated they couldn’t guarantee our reservation because we were getting in town so late. We called to let them know what time we would be there. The corporate office for Hilton stated our information was incorrect because they couldn’t verify the telephone number. (Apparently Expedia uses one of their numbers). The staff was not helpful until we contacted Expedia who had then called them and confirmed our reservation. The front desk lady was very short and not friendly when we checked in. She was also rude to another customer who was asking for additional pillows. Once we got checked in.. it got better. Rooms were as advertised. They were clean and spacious as well as really large tv’s. If you stay in the main hotel, it can get loud as the middle of the hotel is open.

Caitlyn at the front desk went above and beyond to help me find the best room for my needs away from the busy street. The hotel renovated rooms are really worth it and made me feel like I was staying in a beautiful home. The mix of the beautiful paned windows, brick walls, gorgeous tile and marble bathrooms...it all felt like being at my house. Everyone was amazing, the lobby is gorgeous and as well as the pool/atrium area. I can't thank Caitlyn enough for her amazing customer service and quick thinking to help me out. I would absolutely stay again! This is definitely one of the top hotels so close to the airport.

Me and my husband have stayed at this location at least ten times on various occasions. This last one made me feel like Estancia de Norte fell short. When we checked in and went up to the room the hallway was extremely warm and the room key didn’t work. We went back down and got it reprogrammed and when we entered the room there was another family already in that room. We then went back down let the clerk know the issue she gave us a different room number but and I had to ASK for compensation for this inconvenience which they had no disagreement about and we got two free drinks for the bar. Slight inconveniences, it's not the end of the world but was a slip up non the less.

I arrived at 9:40 pm and my room still wasn't ready. AC struggled to keep the room cool throughout my stay. My room keys had to be rekeyed both days of my stay. The last day I was locked out of my room because the batteries died and engineering said that the lock system also needed to be cleaned once I leave. I am Hilton rewards member and they did give me points for the inconvenience which I appreciate but it was such a hassle.

Disappointing....the staff was very rude especially Bianca at the front desk, who told me i could not switch rooms cause nothing was available and later the tv in my room went out I let the front desk know and like magic there was availability and they moved us right away. That room unfortunately had food crumbs in the bed. For breakfast I was yelled at(by Monica)because I didn't know the front desk was suppose to give me my breakfast vouchers(which they did not) when I returned to the bar she ignored my family and I and served everyone around us. Such a shame that at a hotel by HILTON would tolerate such TERRIBLE customer service!👎 We were grateful for 1 young lady's hospitality, Makela P. thank you for acknowledging my family and I and for your wonderful customer service skills.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel - staff was VERY friendly and accomadated a room change request due to freeway traffic noise to a interior room. I visited the bar and the bartenders were very nice and made friendly conversation. I will definitely stay here again on any future visits to San Antonio.

Clean, friendly staff. Quick check in. Big rooms and comfy beds. Service in bar for food is slow. Love the gym, a nice size with everything you need and not crammed in. I always stay here when I am visiting family.

The hotel its self was beautiful and comfortable only two issues my husband and I ate at the restaurant the chicken wings were not cooked properly they were still very bloody & the other issue was that housekeeping came banging on the door right at 10am waking us up we weren’t due to check out until noon

I loved the Spanish decor, pool (which I never had time to use), friendly staff like Angel and gabrielle and Javier, the free shuttle service which was really helpful, quiet and clean room. You have to try the truffle fries and the blackened fish tacos in the restaurant. The staff was always helpful and friendly. My youngest son made some great vacation memories. We will be back!

This hotel is in general handsome, but it’s definitely behind the times. There’s no comfortable place to sit in the hotel room, either a nice chair or sofa. So when is consigned to the lobby when it comes to sitting comfortably. Also, they offer complementary coffee up until 6:30 AM. After then it cost five dollars a cup. This is highly unusual in my experience. Finally, there are very few outlets for plugging in electronic devices, and none of them convenient. this is definitely not up to the standard of modern hotels, especially those those they cater to business travelers.
