Hampton Inn San Antonio Stone Oak

We have stayed here a lot and will not stay here again. Maybe they were short staffed but upon driving up, the garbage can had trash all over the place. Our room and many other's were not ready and we were pushing 5pm. I had requested a handicap accessible room for my disabled father but there was none available and the adjoining rooms that I also requested were a thing of fairy tales. There was no hand soap in either of our room and someone's laundry bag who I can only hope stayed in our room right before us was still in the closet. Breakfast was not fully stocked, the person working there was a ghost, and tables were dirty with ketchup and syrup. When my husband located syrup, it was from an actual syrup bottle but the cap wasnt even on, and there went his waffle. No more waffles could be made as the batter was gone, as were my hopes of giving this hotel a better review. Oh, and we took our kids so they could enjoy the pool but the pool could not be used because one story was that the pump didn't work and another that there was not enough chlorine. I am not sure why everything was so bad compared to previous trips but we will not be back. They have a "guarantee" that you will be happy but the employees did not seem to care about anyone's happiness as long as they could get to their smoke break. Do better. Be better.

We have stayed here a lot but this was our last stay at this hotel. Our room was not ready upon arrival, along with many other guests. I specifically requested adjoining rooms with one being accessible. We got neither. The lady at the front desk was able to put my parents in the first room though so I appreciated her consideration. Both of our rooms had no soap to wash our hands and our room still had the laundry bag from a previous guest hanging in the closet. The pool was out of order and we were given different reasons. My children and parents were less than pleased at this point by our choice of hotel. At breakfast, the choices were limited even though there was an hour left. The person in charge left to throw out the trash and NEVER came back. Maybe it was a ghost. The only syrup available came from the bottle so I guess they ran out. It happens and is totally okay, but when we went to pour from it, it went all over everything, including the phone! The lack of service and accommodations from start to finish was unacceptable. If you need an employee there, I suggest you look outside where they all hang out on their smoke breaks. We have always enjoyed our stays here and the young man which ran breakfast in the past was so on top of things. This place totally went down in every way.

I had my truck broken into at this hotel. No security guard outside to help patrol the area. Am not happy at all

The parking lot is very hard to get in and out of.

For the most the Hampton inn was ok. While staying there our vehicle was broke into along with 4 others. They didn’t seem to care and the cameras supposedly didn’t work. I won’t be staying there again because from what I understand it happens a lot there.

A couple of exterior doors which should have automatically locked in fact did not or would not fully close automatically

My car was broken into and I was not the only person to get their car broken into that night. Each weekend for past 2 weekends prior there were break ins. Police understand that it will happen and so does staff. The cameras are in a bad area, there is no night light, there is no 24 hour security. It’s a joke. Very unhappy with how often people this theft happens and how little help you can get when you get attacked.

Clean, neat. Breakfast offering excellent. Sad the treadmill wasn’t operational.

This was the worst stay I have ever experienced. When we arrived the hotel looked spooky high weeds, then another customer informed us there was 5 break ins, then my husband went down stairs and nothing was working during the time of breakfast and then our heater didn’t work and nothing was done. Wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone for the concern of safety and management didn’t do anything.

Everything was good but in my room the toilet was not clean at all. There was poo inside the toilet that means was not clean correctly. That was the only thing was disappointed, the was good. The person in the counter was very courteous.

The hotel is dated. The room was smelly and the carpet old and dirty. One of the beds had stained sheets. I would not stay again in this hotel. On the positive side the staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel sufficed. We only stayed one night. Check in was quick and easy-- we had a reservation. If you're particular about the cleanliness of a hotel you will likely not be satisfied. There was hair in my bed sheets and hair on the shower walls. Kinda seems like they may not be changing the bedsheets. Rest of the room was clean and the air conditioning worked feally well. It was ok.

Cockroaches on the floor , limited breakfast, poor conditions on bathroom

I had a roach visit me while I was shaving one morning. That was off putting.

The room was adequate but was stuffy and humid. But the biggest downfall was a lack of housekeeping. I was aware that they only cleaned every other day. However I stayed three nights and never had housekeeping visit.

The entire hotel needs an upgrade and deep cleaning. THe toilet seat was cracked and had to be replaced. This is something housekeeping should have done without the customer bring it to their attention. If they over look a hygiene and sanitation issue like that what else are they overlooking...?

It was extremely dirty, the carpet was disgusting and they didn't clean the room

When we arrived at 3:00 am, the front desk staff was kind and courteous. That, however, ends the positive points of this location. After checking in, my wife stayed in the car with the kids while I went in to set up the pack-and-play for our baby. Walking down the hallsX I saw extensive amounts of dust and dirt on the floors, and noticed the vents in the walls had dust in them. The elevator had a terrible musk to it. Whatever, just the hallway and elevator right? No. Upon entering the room, I turned on the A/C so it would begin to cool the room down by the time we got everything in and ready for bed. After setting up the pack-and-play, I went back down and out to the car where I noted to my wife how much my nasal sinus’ were burning and I wasn’t sure why. We then haul the kids upstairs and begin to change them into PJ’s when my baby begins to cough, seriously cough. I mention the dusty hallway vent to my wife. We then proceed to check the in-room vents and A/C units. Dust caked on there that looks like it gets wiped down once a year if it’s lucky. We then check the bathroom for mold and mildew, of which there was both (my wife is severely allergic to black mold). We then go down to the front desk who offers us another room but no refund because we’ve checked in already. We decline the additional room based on the appearance of the first and the hallways’ immense dirtiness. We were told to call the GM on Monday to talk about the situation. TL;DR— DO NOT STAY HERE—DIRTY!

The hot breakfast selection was excellent. You have a lot of options. The room was nice, clean, but for me, the bed was too firm, very little cushion on it, but I do have hip joint problems with nerve pain. But my roommate thought her bed was pretty comfortable.

No internet when I asked for help, they hung up on me. Pool was dirty.

Friendly staff, clean facility. There was a constant mechanical humming caused by either ventilation or other. seemed louder in the bathroom.

Good stay but the Mattress could be Softer. Bed was hard

Not many amenities for the price. And it was super noisy.

Convenient location, many stores and restaurants within 5 minutes, central place between SeaWorld, Natural Bridge Caverns, and Downtown which were all destinations we wanted to see. Our room was not great though, loud generator or something nearby kicked on every couple hours, room was "muggy" with a weird smell and dated.

The staff were great! The hotel itself needs to be updated.

I would not stay there again because the bed is so hard and uncomfortable.

It close to several stores. the breakfast is good. I didn't liked the Internet service wasn't available in the first day, the also didn't have my Hilton Honors number, therefore access to my high speed internet. Also they didn't make the room the second day.

There was some random noise on the roof, prolly the ac unit or something. It was too loud tho, had trouble sleeping.

The property charged me for a movie I never bought. When I reached out to front desk/customer service, they refused to help me to figure out what happened. Terrible experience

We have been staying at this property for 3yrs.Choosing this one over another in the area. They have always met or exceeded the standard of Hilton. Case in point we had a major issue arise on our last stay.I have always felt that you know how well a property is run when things arise out of the ordinary. Adora not only made things right,but also exceeded it to the Hilton Standard. This is why we choose this property 3 times a year.

The room was comfortable and spacious. But the real stars were the staff! The power went out during the last part of the stay and the staff were outstanding during this difficult situation. They were very friendly and offered complimentary bottles of water as the power outage affected the drinks machines for breakfast.

Worst customer service.

Lady at the front desk had a bad attitude.

The breakfast was good and well maintained by the employee. My daughter cannot have nuts and when we asked the employee, he provided us another option, which were chocolate muffins and we greatly appreciated him getting those for her.

This the third time I have stayed at this Hotel. It’s a Wonderful place to stay. The staff are very courteous and the morning breakfast is always fresh and amazing.

I stayed here during a recent vacation and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. The room was clean, and the amenities were well-maintained. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be choosing Hilton properties for my future travels.

Stay was EXCELLENT due to a number of people who were very kind and represented the hotel very well. Especially a man who worked in maintenance. He was always asking if there's anything I need please don't hesitate to ask him

Front desk associate was exceptionally nice and accommodating!

The hotel was a bit on the older side. It was spacious and in a safe area. It was also in a convenient area to all the amenities. Great stay for a great price.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in the perfect place to access everything I needed.

Location to Ice and Gold Center Northwood is beyond great and within walking distance.

The parking lot is very hard to get in and out of.

The. Rooms were nice and very clean. But the beds were not very comfortable. We were. All disappointed with the breakfast bar. The potatoes and the sausage were burnt. The juice machine didnt work. When the lady running the breakfast bar about it she smarted off about it . She said something about what do you expect me to do about it. Finally she put an out of order sign on it.

They didn’t have enough cocoa and you had to ask for it every time. They didn’t have enough bagels either. On Sunday they didn’t have waffle dough nor bagels. But the service was very good. The man was kind and friendly as well as the women at reception.

The property and staff were excellent. I gave it a 4 stars of 5 due to the breakfast that was horrible. They ran out of half the breakfast before we got there. We left due to get breakfast elsewhere.
