Cons: hotel parking is across the street. Wasn’t aware of the boat taxi when we checked in. Found out on our last night. Pool was really filthy and hazy. Restaurant in hotel is not open all hours. They shut down during the day. The hotel isn’t near the bustling part of Downtown San Antonio so the boat taxi ride is kinda long. Pros: friendly staff. Beautiful view of river. Housekeeping was quick.

Very nice hotel on the riverwalk and great service. Only thing I was disappointed in was the unexpected parking fee of 45 a night per car. Cost us 270 just for parking.

The hotel room was wonderful. Very clean, spacious and up to date. Beds we’re very comfy. The biggest catch for us was that the ONLY parking they offer is $49/day valet. I saw zero communication about this up front, so it caught us off guard when we arrived at 10pm in downtown SA. There are other cheaper lots close by, but nothing is free, so plan accordingly.

I liked the property. The room was really nice. The staff was okay , it seemed like you had to look like you had some money or they wouldn't pay attention to you. Also didn't know there was no parking it was all valet parking and the valets were snooty.The only real reason i would stay somewhere else.

This is a great hotel. My family of 4 enjoyed our stay of 4 days while we toured San antonio. The service was top notch. The room was nice. Overall I'd give it an 8/10. The parking is unfortunate. You should account an additional $35 a night for parking but it is convenient. The pool is nice but could use some mosquito treatments. We got bit several times throughout our stay. One thing to note is that the river is right out the back but you are a mile or so away from the main part of the river walk. It's a nice walk but don't think that you are right next to all the restaurants and shops.

The first day we got there one of the elevators was out. We went to dinner and by the time we got back the other elevator was out. My family and I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. I have 2 bad knees so that didn’t help. In the morning my husband and I had to walk down 3 flights of stairs because they were working on them. We went out for the afternoon came back to the hotel and one of the elevators was still out. The telephone in our room didn’t work except for the operator when you pressed zero. They put the heat on because of weather turning cold but didn’t tell us. We were sleeping and when they turned on the heat we thought there was a fire in our room. We didn’t know that we had to buy a package for breakfast. I called the hotel twice and was told that I would get two vouchers for breakfast. This was a bad experience for me and my family. One thing I could say about this hotel is that the cleaning staff are very good.

Loved the pool and the hotel as a whole. Prepaid for parking which is in a private lot across the street from the main entrance. Not enough parking spots by far and approaching the front desk we were told to seek public parking and they would reimburse us! We have already paid for parking once then they wanted us to pay again! Other than that the property is awesome along the River Walk

We enjoyed our stayed. The staff was very helpful whenever we needed anything. The hotel is beautiful and located perfectly on the Riverwalk. The main room we clean and cute decor, I loved the bathroom mirror. My only complaint is that the shower was gross. It looked like the tile had a buildup of soap scum or hard water stains. There were several areas of the shower tiles that looked as though they were being prepared. It was an atrocious attempt and concerning that mildew & mold were beginning to grow, esp in the corners.

An empty box of condoms from the previous guests in the drawer and stayed there for two more days even though I reported it to reception. Cleaning consists of changing garbage bag, making the bed with the same sheets and changing towels. They don’t sweep or clean the badroom.

Took a surprise Mother’s Day trip from Houston. The hotel valet is a NIGHTMARE…there was only one valet running back and forth blocks away for everyone that was waiting. I was not able to use my code to have my vehicle pulled and had to wait behind others and I have a pick up truck and each time they had to move cars just to get my truck back and forth because it couldn’t fit. The hotel itself needs a remodel, the luggage carts are falling apart, the elevator floor boards were coming up and overall didn’t look very clean ANYWHERE. My room was supposed to be a river view needless to say you could only see the patio where guests were smoking and a staircase . The room smelled like OLD WATER as if something was soaked and was sitting there but I could not find where the smell was coming from. The shower in the room looked nasty in fact we did not shower for that reason. And the last thing my vehicle came on the day of check out COVERED in bird poop , I’m not sure where they parked it but RIDICULOUS to have my new pick up truck just detailed come back in that condition

I liked the location being on the north end of the river, not smack dab in all the hustle, but close enough to walk to a lot of what downtown SA has to offer. The room was nice and very clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. However, our room bordered the service entrance and we heard every truck that backed up there during the night. Also, the only window was a frosted window so we had no view whatsoever. We spoke to the front desk about switching rooms but was told they were all booked up and not possible.

I enjoyed my overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. I stayed in the king bed suite with a balcony! The view was amazing to wake up to and enjoy your breakfast and coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for future visits and for my family and friends to stay in!

We were extremely disappointed by our stay. 1st night room's AC wasn't working. We got to room late so went to bed and reported it the next morning. We were told it was fixed and it was not! Our room was HOT! It was late, they moved us to a new room. Toilet chain was broken in new room and we had to put our hand in tank to pull chain to flush. Then we were woken at 7:15 by a garbage truck outside of our window picking up trash from dumpster (on Sunday?). While in the elevator we saw fun coffees and drinks on wall. Went to get a latte and we were told they didn't make those kind of coffees. Just black coffee and creamer. We had valet take our car and when we picked it up, it had bird poop ALL OVER it. Not just a little...ALL over it. We were very disappointed by our stay and Sarahi said to contact you and they will request a refund. Marco Anderson 713-203-6345

The only thing we did not like was the view…it was a view to the wall of the building next door. Was hoping a nicer view since we were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary there.

I wish I could review our stay, but I can\'t because they couldn\'t help us get our room after they canceled it for a "no show". We had a sick baby and couldn\'t show up the first night, but I didn\'t realize the details of their no show policy. Instead of listening to us and working with us, they told us we\'d have to pay for our whole original stay AND book a new room, which they couldn\'t get us into for early check in so we could allow our baby to nap. They were completely unwilling to help us so we went to the Thompson next door. The manager at the Thompson was able to get us in a room right away and gave us a discount so we could stay at a much nicer hotel for the same price... since we had already lost our money at the Indigo. For this reason, I would NEVER attempt to stay at the Indigo again.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo on the San Antonio Riverwalk! The location couldn’t have been better—just steps away from the beautiful riverwalk yet still peaceful and relaxing. The staff was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile or suggestion for places to visit nearby. My room was spacious and well-kept, with a great view and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. When we arrived it was busy, we were behind a couple waiting to check in, in the right stood a representative who was just watching us however never said anything, I asked her am I able to check in and she said yes, her name is Briana, not inviting or pleasant at all. She checked us into a handicap unit, the air did not work and just wasn’t a great experience. I paid for breakfast with my room and went to ask the front how the breakfast works in the morning because we did not get any information from Briana at arrival. I cannot remember the night representatives name but she was absolutely amazing, did explain the breakfast and gave us our vouchers. Breakfast was great. I unfortunately will not go back to Hotel Indigo the experience was just upsetting. I am an IHG member which I did not realize that the hotel was an IGH and I am upset at the experience from this hotel.

Spacious rooms, friendly staff, but disorganized, and shorthanded at the valet service at the time, so I had to wait for the vehicle for a while; and the entrance area, while well very ornate and historical looking, was tight because of all the cars left there and so had trouble getting my tundra out. The hotel was gracious enough though to make up for valet difficulties by treating us to a free breakfast. I would stay there again though, definitely

The staff was efficient and friendly. Facility was clean and quiet. Easy access to the quieter northern end of the Riverwalk. Most restaurants and attractions downtown were about a 15 min walk via the Riverwalk or surface streets. The self parking option did not include the actual Hotel parking lot which was filled by the valet service. Street parking is otherwise a poor option. We did use the valet service and they were friendly and responsive, but the service was expensive. Our room was oddly spacious like it was a small meeting room converted into a guest room. Not bad, but odd. It would have been a good room for and extra bed or someone needing wheelchair access. Overall a pleasant Hotel away from the noisier areas of the Riverwalk but within comfortable walking distance of the many restaurants and attractions of downtown.

It is in a perfect spot on the river walk not too loud and crazy. River is beautiful and it is a lovely walk. The Indigo has a really cool vibe. Places like the elevator could use a cleaning. Our room was very clean. I got a balcony room on the corner. It looks onto a service barn, a concerning parking lot and closed building. So my view was odd given you pay additional for the balcony.

I felt the area was quiet, walking distance to the nightlife is about 18 minutes out, traveling with kiddos we didn’t walk much. Overall it was clean, safe, staff was friendly. I will say the breakfast was way overpriced. I was unhappy of being charged $4.95 per small coffee and when asked for a refill charged another $4.95! That’s Starbucks pricing and not worth it. We paid closed to $80 for a very generic breakfast and I immediately had regrets after seeing the other dining reviews. I will say it was clean and our room was nicely decorated. I would recommend to traveling families. Note the valet parking was an extra $49/day which is priced high but it was also prompt service and helpful staff. As a family we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Wasn’t happy that no one offered us water or cookies on check in like they did the other guests. Mess up with our room they was ultimately fixed. The restaurant closed at 9:45 pm on a Friday night. The dessert offered instead of a meal was not good.

I drove up and was asked to pay $52 per night for parking. That set the tone for the stay! When I got into the bed, the comforter had a hair ball on it. The room was quaint but overall not that much different than a chain hotel that is cheaper. The location is advantageous if you are spending a lot of time on the Riverwalk. It is still a 20 minute trek to most things. The staff are helpful. The alcoholic drinks are good and the bartenders are really nice and helpful. It has a nice patio if you do not mind sharing with smokers. Bottom line: you are paying for location. I did not see anything above average in this location.

Everything was good. Bar and dining was also enjoyable. Weather was perfect to sit outside and relax. On the riverwalk but not thr busy part so it was nice and quite. Only thing is valet is $50 a night since there isnt any available hotel parking. I recommend parking on the richmond st side if you dont want to pay.

Smooth check/in. Neat and clean. Room decently appointed. Big observation: lackadaisical service at breakfast. Three bowls of oat mill and an egg order took probably more than 30 minutes. And, an item was left off which we had to get removed from the bill. Personnel were nice; just seemed inexperienced.
