My one night stay here was amazing! I came down for the Chris Brown concert and it was great!!! They have a shuttle which helped me get around as well! The breakfast buffet was good , a little pricey but it was worth it and convenient. Overall a great stay!

Overall,I had a great experience. The restaurant and bar inside the hotel were very convenient. My children and myself were able to enjoy our individual entertainment without leaving each other. Not to forget my favorite part:) THE COOKIES!! lol I will definitely be booking again. Thanks for a great experience.

We were not able to use the pool, the water was cloudy and murky. We were told that there was a mechanical problem. The a/c unit in our room was not working properly. It was dripping water and had a peculiar odor. We were given another room, but had to transfer all our belongings ourselves. We even had to facilitate the key card transfers, resulting in multiple trips to the lobby. Given the price point for this hotel, we were underwhelmed by our experience.

The pool pump went out the day we arrived. So no pool fun. Kind of bummed about that. It was a decent average hotel. There was roaches in our room but that’s what I’m husband is for!:D it was a decent hotel I would recommend if you’re needing somewhere to stay for a short period of time.

The room was clean however we discovered a few huge yellow stains on our bedding. It was absolutely disgusting and so uncomfortable. That bedding should have never been there and someone should have known better than to allow it to remain on the bed. We didn’t even get a call from a manager or a discount of some sort for this disgusting situation. Very disappointing to say the least.

Horrible room experience. The description says close to downtown, you have to drive a good 10 mins still. You could pay the same amount to stay IN the river walk. Hotel does not include breakfast, you have to pay for parking every time you go in an out and the gate sometimes doesn’t open and you have to call a number to open it, which isn’t even part of double tree. You have to pay a separate company to park at double tree. The hotel rooms are very very outdated and dirty. The carpet is disgusting. I got there and there was blood in my sheets, the pillow cases smelled, and the whole room smelled like sweat and dirt. Not worth it. You can pay the same price for better service, a more updated and clean hotel, and possibly parking included.

The room restroom tile was so dirty, the floor tile and shower tile seemed very dingy and were black. The room curtains were also dirty and damages as well. The pillows looked dirty, as if they had not been washed.

This hotel needs to be updated asap. The carpet is run down. The elevators are painfully slow and the decor reminded me of one of those Vegas hotels from the 1970s. Also, it may be technically downtown, but it really is about a good mile from the downtown.

The tub in room 216 backs up water really bad leaving myself and my family to essentially take a shower while standing in dirty water that went above my ankles. Even 20 minutes after my shower, the tub still hadn't fully drained. The main light in the restroom was not a typicial bulb, it was a heat lamp giving off enough heat for my 6 foot self to feel as if my head was being burned while getting dressed after my shower. I should have read the description of the beds better, the mattresses are FULL SIZE, and not the typical queens in double bed rooms which did not allow for a comfortable sleep for my wife and I. I ended up sleeping on the floor to give my wife enough space to sleep comfortably. I unfortunately will not be choosing to stay at this location in the future.

My neighbor was using weed and blasting music. I had to call the front desk twice. The weed smell never left. Also, a train blasted its horn several times between 3 and 5 am. I usually LOVE this location, but this stay was horrible.

There is nothing special or unique about the hotel. Just your run of the mill run down hotel. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows had no support nor were your typical fluffy comfortable pillow so woke up with neck and body pains every day. Staff wasn’t helpful we didn’t get any instructions at check in regarding the shuttle or amenities of the hotel. Pool was really small and maintenance was not friendly. Housekeeping worked hard to keep the rooms clean and the hotel kept. Overall it was an okay stay but nothing above expectations. Wifi didn’t work had to use our other room login to get wifi.

I first got the room that wasn't as advertised. It was a stardard king in terrible condition. The bathroom sliding wooden door was off track, 2 of the sprinklers were damaged, there was hair in my shower and there were exposed wires. The hallway smelled tertible. When i asked Hilton directly for another room they blamed hotels.com and had a really bad attitude. The second room was better but still could use renovations. I will not be staying here ever again. Never had such a horrid experience at a doubletree. Highly unexpected.

The staff throughout the facility provided excellent customer service to us. This includes the front desk staff, restaurant and bar staff too. I would like to call out Helma in the restaurant - she took great care of us. She provided helpful information about your city and gave us really good ideas. Scottie at the bar was also phenomenal. Jose who drives the shuttle (evening shift) was like our own personal tour guide. He shared his knowledge of the city with us as he shuttled us back and forth. Oh, those Doubletree COOKIES!! My goodness! I felt like the Cookie monster from Sesame Street. Those are absolutely the BEST!! Not good for my diet, but soooo good for my soul!!! LOL - Thanks DoubleTree!

We planned a pleasure trip a few months ago no thinking that the temps in San Antonio would be in the 20’s and 30’s. The staff at the hotel made sure that we had a great stay. The front desk staff, Helma, Jose, Scotty and the other restaurant/ bar staff and the other shuttle driver were all amazing! Thanks for a great experience!!

The staff was very helpful. We got in late around 10:30 and found out that our room was taken by someone else with same last name. The staff quickly figured it out and set us up with another room. Thank you very much . Great staff.

Andrew at the desk was super rude. They sprayed our room with a "Deep Clean" carpet cleaner. It gave me and my family an instant headache. I then went to the front desk and asked if they could put me in a another room. They told me they could put me in a standard room even though I paid extra for a balcony room. We asked for a refund as we just checked in and they told me no. Called Hilton customer service and they even came back and said when they called the hotel Andrew was rude to them. Hilton corp then got a manager on the phone and she was much nicer. Now all the sudden there is a room that does not have the deep clean with a balcony. The hotel was okay but the front desk clerk made me never want to return.

Property was clean, staff was nice, and garage parking was easily accessible. Walkable distance to the farmers market which there is a restaurant there, Mi Tierra, that is open 24 hours and really good. Close to river walk. Would deff stay there again!

Front staff was very friendly, they explained everything from a to z including shuttle services etc, they had a restaurant area and a bar area, but the restaurant was close when we arrived and I ordered a pizza from uber eats, while I was enjoying margaritas with my wife my kid received the pizza and brought it to a restaurant table by the bar and we got told to leave the area because we weren’t supposed to have outside food, so why is that if they’re not offering food service at that time? The manager didn’t even want to come to us and sent another employee instead, very disappointed for not being professional at that time .

The location was fine as our event was at UTSA. I'd happily stay there again. The restaurant lunches were good. I never ate dinner there as both times we tried we had missed the time windows so keep that in mind. We Lyfted to Riverwalk and restaurants and then walked back (during day hours). The pool area was cute but the weather didn't cooperate. Beds/pillows were also good. Only complaint was the AC was really loud and on our side of the building you could hear a train quite well @ midnight and @8am (not sure if other times or if they were drowned out by the AC enough to keep sleeping.

I booked my boss (owner of several companies) at your hotel due to needed to meet with his team at 7:30 am via zoom and then follow with in person interviews My boss arrived at the restaurant at 7 am to have breakfast before his 7:30 meeting, the restaurant was not ready for guests although they were open. They got his order wrong making him eat late and late for his 7:30 am meeting He then had trouble finding a quiet place downstairs to meet w his team via zoom while waiting for his interviews.

What a wonderful getaway for a couple of days. The staff is always terrific , great bar & breakfast ! They serve fresh baked oatmeal cookies & chocolate chip cookies at check-in & checkout & if you are leaving the hotel to shop , etc. Great restaurants near the market place ..just minutes away from the hotel .. It was OK overall, but the breakfast was below everyone’s expectations. Especially, considering the price. The hotel offers hardly anything healthy and no milk alternative to cows milk. Breakfast is extremely sparse and guest are not even able to get their own tea or coffee and will have to chase down a waitress/waiter to get their morning drink.

The room was very comfortable with a refrigerator in room. Also, the beds were comfortable. The excercise room was awesome!!! The only thing that was a bit confusing was the parking with the different prices quoted. Overall this location is a hidden jewel.

Very comfortable and quite. My only complain is the hours of operation for the bar and Starbucks. Would be nice if Starbucks is also open on Sunday....some of us drink coffee everyday, even Sunday! As far as the bar, weekends are late nights and the bar closes before 11??????
