I specifically booked and paid for a wheelchair-accessible room for my father, who is wheelchair-bound. The photos online clearly showed an accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower and proper accommodations. Even the confirmation email I received showed “roll-in shower” However, when we arrived, the room had a bathtub that was not wheelchair accessible, making it extremely difficult and unsafe for my father to use. I brought this up to the receptionist, and instead of offering a real solution, I was simply told that the room shown in the photos “wasn’t available.” That is unacceptable. Accessibility is not a luxury upgrade — it’s a necessity. Advertising accessible features and then failing to provide them puts disabled guests and their families in a terrible position after traveling and arriving exhausted. Very disappointing experience and poor handling of a serious accessibility issue. I would strongly caution anyone needing true ADA-compliant accommodations before booking here. Terrible mistake the did by not trying to contact me after multiple times I tried calling the manager. I’ll be reporting this hotel to the ADA.
