Fairfield Inn & Suites Waco South

Lots of crickets, but all of Waco was that way. Staff was friendly. Pillows went flat as soon as my head touched it. Liked the pool both ends were 3 ft and the middle was 4 ft. So nothing too deep if you have little ones.

It was ok. Great welcome and good breakfast but room was worn, no comfortable chair, and pool was ice cold.

The swimming pool has warm water. But I was disappointed that the pool is not accessible for older people. There are no chairs in the room with the pool. There is no place for an adult to sit while watching children swim. There are no steps built into the pool. The pool can be entered only by a metal ladder on the side of the pool. Getting in and especially out of the pool would be very difficult, if not impossible, for many seniors.

No trailer parking No insulation or care for guests. The neighbors got locked out of their room at 2:07 am and banked, knocked, called and screamed for 20 min and the I’ll called the front desk and they finally did something to help them. They woke up our whole floor. The bathroom countertop is peeling off so they just put 2 inches of silicon to try to keep it together it is a HUGE safety issue. The room smelled both days we were there.

Check in staff was friendly and lobby was very clean. Room was very clean well equipped, bed/ pillows were very comfortable. Overall a very good stay.

Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Stay Far Away If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I found cockroaches in the room — not just one or two, but enough to make your skin crawl. The final straw? I actually woke up to one crawling on me while I was sleeping. Completely unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. To make matters worse, the refrigerator in my room was broken for four days, despite reporting it immediately. I was told maintenance would handle it, but no one ever showed up. The air conditioning unit leaked all over the floor, creating a soggy, unsafe mess that also went ignored for days. I had to lay towels down just to avoid slipping. Still not fixed by the time I checked out. And let’s talk about the building — practically every window in the hotel has broken thermal panes. It looks run-down and neglected from the outside, and it’s even worse inside. This place clearly hasn’t seen proper maintenance in years. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This place is unsanitary, poorly maintained, and downright unsafe.

The property is in need of a renovation. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor are not ok for Fairfield standards. Cleanliness the same. Plus is definetely the breakfast.

I already left a bad review cockroaches, broken AC, broken fridge. Never staying here again or booking through Hotels.com

Room for as filthy, bathroom was disgusting, had a roach on my bathroom sink, bug bites from bed…place was disgusting…never had maid service….didn’t receive the room I originally booked and paid for…AWFUL!!!

Everything was just great. Very clean facility thru and thru. Staff was awesome and the breakfast was the best I have ever experienced.

Older property. Upgrades def needed. Shower curtain was dirty. It even had mold spots on it. Glad i only stayed one night.

Ceiling water damage, walls, carpets,cricket in the room. Breakfast area super underwhelming!! No choc milk, orange juice, missing condiments. No cereal choices, 3 choices of tea without hot water. Coffee blah. Front desk said they couldn’t give me a receipt!!

We booked our rooms here last minute for a funeral. I have to say from the outside it’s a little older but the property itself is kept up well. There wasn’t any trash or anything like that on the grounds. It’s close to restaurants and the mall. You walk in and the lobby was very clean. The staff was very nic, professional and accommodating. Breakfast was good and lots of options. They are very quick in response to any Issues or concerns. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I especially love the king suite. It’s very spacious and we could sit and enjoy our night sitting on the couch like we would at home. My only suggestion is to have brighter lights in the bathroom. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will book here again on our next visit.

DID NOT HAVE A KEY TO THE ROOM, NO USB PORT FOR ELECTRONICS

I reserved a room witth 2 double beds and paid at time of reservation. But when I arrived they only had a room with a king bed and a couch. I was traveling with a friend and they expected us to share a bed which was not appropriate. My buddy is 6'4" and the couch was to shoet for him, so I slept on the couch which was very uncomfortable. I will most likely never stay in Fairfield Inn again. When I reserved the room, there were 5 double bed rooms available. I should have gotten what i reserved and paid for.

The bed seemed abit hard and ac wouldn’t seem to be cold enough. Wish they had ceiling fans

TV was not working even after being reset.

I check in room 301 we could not sleep the motor of the refrigerators outside made loud noise, in the morning I told front desk and they said they would do something about it. I went to front desk second day and they said she was going to check with the manager to see if they could do something almost 10 pm waiting for the call, later young lady came to the door and said phone was not working and the plugs to charge our phones were not working. They move us to a one bed room when I paid for a 2 bed room. Bad experience .

The room is outdated. This hotel room was very noisy and the hotel smells like someone smoked in it.

Excellent night front desk staff. Made me feel welcome, and remember a prior stay of mine.

The staff was really nice and knowledgeable and check in was quick and easy.

The location is terrific. Suzanne, the Clerk was extremely accommodating & made sure things are just right. She was very friendly which a must in the hotel industry. The breakfast was excellent. Way above the most hotels that say they serve breakfast, which is a joke. I stay in a lot of hotels and I know what is excellent and right down below average. I would totally recommend this hotel for multiple reasons. As a side note, the carpet has recently been replaced.

The ac didn’t work - it would turn on a short while then off. Never cooled the room even with the fan on constant. We were exhausted from spending the day at the hospital with our parent or we would have called to change rooms even in the middle of the night. When I told the clerk the next morning she was not interested.

While the hotel itself was nice, the surrounding property did not feel adequately secure. The breakfast was nice as were the complimentary cookies. The TV could accept 3rd-party inputs via an HDMI input port, which is great. I personally did not experience any assault or other security problem. All around, it was a pleasant experience.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and lots of breakfast choices. Unfortunate that although it was close to some restaurants, you have to cross a busy highway to get to them.

Property was very accessible. Easy and fast check in. I would have loved to have some additional lighting.

Great service and a great breakfast. Very clean and quiet place. Very fast check in.

The property needs some maintenance done. We had a badly cracked window, the bathtub faucet almost came off in my hand, the exhaust fan didn’t work, the shower curtain wasn’t wide enough and it couldn’t close all the way when showering. On the other hand, the free breakfast was very good with a wide variety of foods including gluten free muffins. If they added cook your own waffles, it would be outstanding.

Breakfast was a disappointment. Only "bold" coffee with its high acidity and no regular creamer of any kind, powder or otherwise. No biscuits, no gravy, so the sausage patty has to play by itself! The sausage, bacon, and eggs were done to perfection.
