Days Inn by Wyndham Farmville

The parking lot needed pothole and drainage repairs. One parking area was directly adjacent (1-2ft.) to large propane tanks making it very dangerous for any parker near them.

The pool was not usable, nor has it been for several years by the height of the tree growing there. The door to my room did not shut tight or seal and so bugs could fly in and out (and boy did they). I didn't expect a fancy hotel for the price I paid, but this was below even my expectations. The one redeeming grace was the friendly staff who were helpful and cheerful at every turn.

The pool was closed, even though that wasnt noted online. The pool at another of their properties was gross, had things like candy wrappers floating in it, and their garbsge & dumpster was there & smelled

Good thing I didn’t want the advertised pool, it looks permanently closed. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but ok. Some floorboards coming loose already so wear sandals everywhere if you don’t want a splinter.

This is a two-story old hotel with no elevator to the second floor. Even if your room is in the middle of the hotel you have to walk to one of the end of the building or the other and go up the stairs every time you go back to your room. In my room wall electrical outlets did not work and the shower curtain rod was hanging by one screw at each end And the curtain would come to the middle and flood the floor when you were taking a shower. The building is old the nighttime check in clerk what is passive and Disinterested

Remodeled room all modern look . A lot of noise in hallway …doors closed really loud to go outside building .

Parking was a little difficult-Paralel parking in line in front of rooms on side of building made it difficult to be in front of your room. Lines need to be repainted. Very good location close to shops and food. would recommend

The add said they had a pool and a bar. The pool was there but not swimmable, it had black/green algae in it. The bar is not even on the property. The place had just been painted and it smelled like paint thinner. We won't be going back and I hope the other hotels on this site are better or at least truthful in what they post about the hotel.

While the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was a let down. The second floor hallway smelled like stinky weed and the keycards took forever to open the hallway and room doors. The pool was closed too, which my kids would have liked to use. Will probably stay at another hotel if I’m in Farmville again.

This hotel was very convenient for what we had planned in Farmville. It was less than 15 minutes away from the 3 destinations we visited during our trip, and there was a Walmart and a ton of restaurants within walking distance of the property. The hotel also provided a great continental breakfast with an array of options. The only issue we had was that our room was filthy! The tables were greasy and sticky like someone had just eaten fried chicken on them, the floors were dirty with foot prints, the refrigerator had an awful smell, the microwave was filthy, and the bath tub was splattered with streaks. When we brought it to the attention of the employee that was cleaning rooms on our floor, he let us know that it was probably an employee that just started that left the room that way. Regarding the bath tub, he let us know that was the cleanest the tub could get, but as he said this, he began scrubbing the tub in front of us, in a way to make us see what he meant, and the stains started to come off. Overall, the property was decent for the occasion, and the staff was very helpful and kind about our room issue.

Sheets were clean, floors turned our socks black, dirty bathroom walls more than scuffs, roach in the bathroom.

Clean place to stay for 1 night. Liked the large fridge in the room. All white bedding which was nice.

Stayed there before and thought it was good. This time not so much. The surfaces in the room were sticky and we had to clean them. You could not have more than 1 towel (that had stains etc. on it) at a time. I used my dogs towel from home, which was cleaner. Second night the sheets felt dirty. Not the best stay. towel from

Metal in bathtub peeling up and full of spiders and roaches in bathroom. No toilet paper and bedding had brown stains. Gross!

This place was absolutely disgusting. My family and I stayed there because of the good reviews, but quickly realized we had been duped. The “renovation” quality is highly questionable — fixtures falling off the walls, television remotes that half worked, cheap bed frames that were broken, squeaky and banged against the floor at the slightest move. We initially checked into one room that was filthy— food spills on the night stand, no towels, apparent DNA stains on the bed spreads, dirty floors, hairs on the bathroom floor. We would have left the hotel, but there were no other vacancies in the local area. The staff reluctantly moved us to another room after diplomacy on my behalf did not work. The second room was slightly better. Although the floors did not appear dirty, the bottoms of our white socks became brown with dirt. Just gross! Needless to say, after a thorough mattress inspection revealed no bugs, we still kept all of our bags, clothes, shoes elevated from the floor to minimize bed bugs. Did I mention that in the middle of the night a car parked in front of the hotel with the stereo bass thumping for two hours? Do not stay here. Listen to me now and hear me later: you’ll be happier sleeping in your car or in the woods…on a pile of rocks.

The room was abysmal . . . security latch missing, multiple holes in flooring planks creating safety hazard, dust accumulation on toilet tank and trash behind furniture clearly indicative of rushed/poor housekeeping. Phone call to front desk ineffective. Booking agent able to secure refund. Beware: If it looks too good to be true, it probably it!!

There were coffee stains on the desk we had to clean. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned.

The room was clean, except the lonely popcorn kernel ;) and the TV options were good. Did not feel safe outside at night, but I was fine in my room. It was nice that the hallway was keyed as well as the room; however, we got locked out of our room two days in a row. It seems they reset all the keys each morning. The motel has recently been renovated. The bathtub had been painted and was flaking. We figured out that the fridge had been plugged into a light switch outlet that was "off" so we moved the plug. There was only a light around the sink in the bathroom and not overhead so it was dark, but I loved the light that was there. The bed was on a spring platform, made noise and was not the most comfortable. Not a terrible place. Actually a pretty clean and put together place for a motel. I have just gotten used to hotels and there were several minor problems.

The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. The hotel rooms seem old and dated. Also I did the online check in and still had to give the same info to the front desk Seems like a waste of time to do it online. Everything else was fine though.

The room was spacious. I had trouble figuring out turning on the lights when I entered the room. The shower still had hair in it from a previous occupant. The rest of the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the stay was nice.

The bed frames are metal so we’re a bit squeaky/noisy. I move around in my sleep, so it woke me up a few times. Otherwise, it is clean, a little dated, great location, and excellent service from the employees.

Nice, clean room. Comfy bed. Large fridge. Could use better lighting in bathroom. Otherwise great.

The hotel itself was great. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and maintained. Breakfast was good (waffles/continental on weekdays, eggs and sausage on weekends). Please note that if you're a light sleeper or do not use earplugs, expect to have many disruptions throughout the night - people talking loudly right outside the doors, drag racing on the main road, noisy a/c, etc. This was no fault of the hotel or the staff (they really were wonderful), but it is something to be aware of.

The staff were great! The room had limited storage, and the property is dated. The area around the hotel is nice

I had requested a floor level room. Older people have a hard time going upstairs. 2nd floor it was. It is quiet there. You need a ladder to get in the bed. Very high.

The staff was great! The lady who checked me in was very friendly. The biggest problem is the shower I think. Room had been recently updated and looks great with the new decor, new flooring, new furniture. The bathroom was a different story. Definitely need to update the showers/tub. The bottom of the tub was peeling, it had been painted I assume to look newer but it was not in good shape. I found paint chips later in the day stuck to the bottom of my foot. The stay included breakfast which was pretty good. Price was really reasonable. Overall I would say it was a good stay.

Although I had. ore- registered on line and paid, I still had to register and pay again!!!! Please make sure my credit card has not been charged twice for this.

Staff was friendly. Room seemed recently updated and was very lean. Noise level was a bit problematic until after midnight.

Room was booked for two adults and two children. There was only 3 washcloths and 3 bath towels. I went to the front desk to ask for more washcloths and was told they were low on supplies and was only allowed to put 3 of each in a room. Other then that the room was really clean and the staff was very friendly.

Not fancy but served its purpose. Friendly staff. We had to check out early and they credited me my money back. Thank you

Again it took 15 minutes to check in, and I had a reserv ation, also no receipt wheb I checked out

The people in the room next to me were up all night slamming their door, arguing and then having “intimate” time. I called the front desk to get another room but no one would answer. The next morning I complained to the clerk and asked for a refund of my next night so I could go somewhere else. She said that she would have the manager call me. I received no call. I called later in the day and a different clerk told me the same and atill no call from the manager. It is not just a cheap hotel but poorly managed.

Convenient, helpful staff. Bathtub dirty. Outside and inside needs renovations.

This was my second time staying at Days Inn by Wyndham Farmville. Extremely satisfied with my stay. Convenient location. Very friendly and professional staff.

The ladies at the front desk were pleasant and the sheets were clean. The parking is terrible. The side they had us park on was parallel parking so you cannot park near your room because no one can park correctly. There were a lot of empty beer cans and bottles and other trash on the ground in the picnic area. There is a wide gap under the door. Light, heat and bugs come through. We put a towel under the door to stop the light and bugs from coming through. There were bugs (beetles) in the room. Someone else's old food was in the refrigerator. The remote was missing the battery cover. Cobwebs on the lamps and in the corners. The laminate flooring wasn't glued properly so there were gaps and bubbling in it. The bed my son used was very noisy when he moved. A brace or support must have been broken. The pool was horrible. Looks like it has not used or serviced in years.

Its located in an area whereas i could walk to any local business in less than 4 minutes!!

Nothing fancy but perfect for our overnight stay. Felt safe, the employees were friendly and it was convenient to some restaurants and shopping.

Everything is 3 miles or less from my stay

The room was clean. However, at 8am the next day, the card key entry was reset electronically rendering our car inoperative. We were told that this is automatically done by the system. Check-out is 11am, so why not 11AM for this reset? "Breakfast" was really sad. You could at least offer cereal and milk, and an operable juice machine or boxed juices. A few mini muffins, white bread for toast, and coffee is a very sad offering, The price of the room is not commensurate with such a sad offering.

They have reduced the breakfast to very few items. Waffles are gone juice is gone. A few muffins yogurt toast coffee and milk. Very limited. Not worth even going truthfully but it seems as though that is the plan. The pictures on the site are misleading. Room was clean and no frills. Probably our last stay at this motel.

This is my second time staying here in 3 months and it did not disappoint, again. I didn’t give an overall Excellent Rating because the breakfast is subpar. Don’t expect to get full, plan to go elsewhere for breakfast.

This is not the first time I’ve stayed here and it’s been good each time. It’s clean and comfortable and the breakfast is pretty good.

Carpets need good shampoo and vacuuming. TV remote did not work; Front Desk Clerk found another one for me. Breakfast was mostly cold. Liked location of hotel and room was large and clean.

Staff was friendly. Over priced, breakfast was terrible. Room was okay but shower needs to be replaced, very dated. No plastic cups in room. Very dissatisfied with the motel, I would not recommend or stay there again.

Card key reset at 8 am when checkout is 11am. Better options for breakfast, like cereal, milk and juice. (Juice machine was broken but you could still provide juice another way). Please send me a receipt!!!
