Booked this hotel because of the seasonal pool amenity. When I got there I was advised that the pool was closed due to a leak in the pump. Had I known that prior to booking, I would not have booked this hotel.

The only thing that is positive about this hotel is its location. Everything is old and not maintained. The pool was not usable, nor was the gym. The shower the handles were coming off the wall. The property says it’s under new management and I wish them all the best. This hotel is in an excellent location and should be brought up to minimal standards to serve the liberty University students and families.

Overall a nice place but the room we got the A/C asnt working at first the guy next door had tols.me he gad just moced out of it the day before so someone didnt make suee it was working properly before they put someone in there. Good thing was i was able to get another room later in the evening when i reached out. Grandkids loved the pool always a plus

The property has great potential but our room was not up to our standards and I’m sure we will not be staying with them again. The checkin was fine but no elevator, mold on the wall, dirt everywhere — especially in corners and I needed a step stool to just get into the bed. We might have noticed other things but we were just too exhausted.

Outdated and stained top to bottom. It was fine for a night just to sleep, but I never wanted to be in the room otherwise. It smelled like cigarettes and urine, there were holes in the chairs, and stains on the floors and walls. Most of the staff were decent, but there were a few that were rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience for staying whenever we asked a question. We had to get a new key card several times because ours stopped working and the pool was closed due to "unavoidable circumstances" even thought it's advertised online.

The property is dated and in need of some minor cosmetic repairs. There appears to be an aesthetic unpleasantness to the building. That being said, Roxy and the rest of the office staff are five star employees, and they treat you like royalty. The rooms, although dated, were clean. The pool was fabulous.

This place is a dump! Avoid unless it’s the only place available. Check in was smooth and the beds and pillows were comfortable and there were no bugs but that’s about it for positives. The room smelled like smoke, like 30 years worth, nasty! I sprayed the room and then when I woke up the next morning the smell was overpowering. The bathroom cieling had mold all over, the bathroom door looked like someone had a dog that scratched it and it had a hole punched into it. The bathtub leaked out water so no ability to take a bath. All the furniture is super worn out, like from the 90’s. The breakfast was a complete joke. There were little egg patties and sausage gravy, no biscuits anywhere and only 4 measly pieces of toast available. The coffee was basically water. The only thing good about breakfast was the waffles and the juice. We were looking forward to having a pool but it was green and had some sort of froth in it so we avoided it. This place needs a complete overhaul! I would never stay again, only stay if you’re desperate or don’t mind old smelling motor lodges.

It was not a good experience. I was not aware that there was no elevator and I have mobility issues. When I asked if there was a bottom floor room I was told no even though they did not look. Check in service was slow because employee was sitting outside smoking. Room was not very clean but the bed was good.

They don’t even deserve 1 star, our first room the bath flooded we flushed the toilet once and next thing you know water all over the floor, and had black mold. The second room has black mold bed bugs and roaches. When I went back to the office to say something he tried to put me into another room to which I declined.

My room was dirty and not well-maintained. I found two dead bugs in the mini-fridge, and I saw two live roaches in my room. The mounting bracket that was supposed to hold the hair dryer to the wall was broken. I found two dirty washcloths hanging over the shower curtain rod when I arrived. The walls were dirty. Two places on the bathroom wall had been patched, but the plaster had not been sanded or repainted. One of the drawers in the chest of drawers was off the rails and wouldn't close properly. The breakfast buffet was poorly stocked -- on some days, items such as yogurt and fresh fruit were completely gone an hour before the end of breakfast -- and some of the bread items were stale. This hotel has seen better days.

Overall, the hotel met my needs. Convenient location and comfortable bed. However, my room reeked of marijuana. The rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, and I know in general the staff cannot control if people violate that rule until after the fact (by charging them a fee). We found a lighter on top of the A/C unit, so that was missed by the cleaning staff. The room was dated. I did not use the shower, but there was plenty of hot water available from the sink.

Did not have a remote for the tv or a phone in first room. Moved me to other room. Had remote and phone, but the plug in to wall line had just wire hookups coming out the end. Could not snap in. Check out, couldnt find me! Left with no reciept or any paperwork at all. Room past inspection, so i hope no deposit charged! I dont know! Have nothing! Oh, the big window curtain had a big hole in it and smaller ones scattered. Could not open! Glad all I needed was a roof and bed. Low class hotel. No more Wyndham.

It was kind of gross, the room smelled like smoke and there was cockroaches. Also, every time we went back to our room the key wouldn’t work, so we kept having to get new keys which was incredibly frustrating. The staff were unhelpful and kind of rude. We had breakfast once and the batter was sour and the eggs were cold. Overall a very poor experience and I definitely would not recommend going there.

Thin walls. It’s 11:50pm and I’m still unable to sleep because of the TV next door. Room is clean, but smells like old musty carpet. The furniture looks like my grandma’s. AC works well. Shower works well. I still don’t know where the breakfast is served.

I had prepaid for a night at this hotel in February 2025 so I would be assured of a room to attend the Womens Conference in Lynchburg. They sold my room to someone else!!!!! I had to get a room from Econolodge and pay $364.00 for the night instead of the $103 that I had already paid. The manager lied and said that he had no record of my paying in advance. However, when I called the hotel a few days later he admitted that his computer did have my reservation . This ruined my trip!!!!!!!!!!!

I was kinda disappointed the ceiling look like it had mold spots all over it. The chair in the room looked like a mechanic sat in it and got it all greasy and oiled up. The female staff member was great very friendly the male one not so much. Stood in the lobby to check out for 10 minutes while he was in the bathroom video chatting and having a long conversation.

The front desk person talked on her cell phone during the entire checkin process. There was a loud noise that happened every 20-30 minutes all night in room 115. I did not sleep a wink all night. The phone was totally not operational and the volume did not work on the tv. I was very disappointed. I may as well had stayed at Motel 6, except I paid $155.00 for this room.

Was told 50.00 down for pet fee was told would get it back when leave . Then notice they tried to take 50.00 out my card . Then come back said they try to give it back and then said not getting it back and then when I came in to discuss the matter what I was told he told me cause I came Back in he wasn’t going to talk to his manger and was not giving me back my 50.00 . This was not my mistake . Then told me pool was not opened I couldn’t eat my breakfest in my room and had eat in the lobby . Then get there and hardly no breakfest at all . No milk no biscuit no butter . Poor management but nice place .

The breakfast consisted of water down coffee, cold egg and sausage patties, white bread, Frosted Flakes. Air conditioning blew straight onto the bed, condensation soaked the carpet. There was drinking and marijuana smoking outside the room filling my room with the odor. Key cards went blank nightly. Required a note to be left with counter for the room to be cleaned - wasn't honored. Bed comfort was fine.

It wasn’t bad being we just needed rooms for one night. However, the tub still had dirty soap bubble remanence left in it. The food for the continental breakfast sufficed. The waffles were good. Coffee was good for being light coffee. I usually drink dark coffee. But otherwise if it was a quick stay we would probably stay again.

The c staff was fri r ndly and welcoming.The room was spacious and clean.Temperature in room was perfect.I was able to rest due to the bed being so comfortable.The bathroom was small but clean.The water pressure was amazing!Honestly one of the best showers ever.The breakfast was also excellent. Food was hot .Lots to choose from.My overall stay here was rather pleasant.All this place needs is a little updating.I would definately stay here again.
