Parking for motorcycles not sure

Only a few steps to our room but steep. Appeared people were living a few rooms away, unkept and nosy.

I stayed here because I got a great price at the last minute. When I arrived, the staff weren’t aware of my reservation and had to call their manager who did immediately tell them I should be on their list. My room was on the second floor…no elevators and I had difficulty opening the door and had to go back downstairs to reception get someone up to unlock my door which he very graciously did. The room immediately smelled of cigarette smoke. The attendant explained that smoke comes into the rooms because people smoke on the balcony outside…but this was more than that…someone or some people definitely smoked in that room. The attendant turned on the ac and sprayed the room…he tried but to no avail. The bed was the best part though…comfy but pillows were a little hard. Bathrooms looked like an original from the 60’s but it was clean and the water pressure in the shower was good. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again because of the cigarette smell. but staff were friendly and really did try to be accommodating

A very spontaneous trip and room booked that afternoon. A true time-warp (in a good way) and the room was immaculate. I would definitely return if I needed a room in Bennington.

It was acceptable for one night, but the key was a little worn and hard to use, the mirror on the door is not usable, and the room smells terribly like old cigarette smoke, mattress had a plastic protector cover, made it hard to sleep peacefully. It’s a quaint historic motel. Fixing these things would make it even better. I feel like it’s a live in motel, seemed a few of the tenants were not temporary.

An older hotel that shows its age a bit, but it was clean and and in good repair. The short walk to downtown makes up for the dated appearance of the room.

Quaint motel. Old but clean. Has all the important things. Bed and bathroom. For the price it’s a good stop.

What a nice, vintage place - yet very clean and not shabby at all! I enjoyed sitting on the porch. A breakfast place is nearby. I thought being so old, there would be thin walls, but it was so quiet! The bed was comfy and the shower was so great, I took a picture of the shower head to get for home. I would definitely stay here again if in this part of Vermont.

Property was clean and off the beaten path. A little pricey for what it was and the beds could use replacing (not comfortable) but overall very clean and owners were nice. Close to good dining and convenient to our destination.

Very clean and comfortable, but if someone is staying in the room above you, it can be loud.

The rooms were clean and had everything you need for a short stay.. The only thing we didn't like was that we took a room for 3 of us with 2 queen beds, and there was barely room for us to walk around them or to open up our suitcases... as well as the shower.. I dropped a soap in a shower, and I didn't have space to bend and pick it up, I had to open the shower door in order to reach the soap... So just keep in mind that it is a bit small but very comfortable!!! The beds were more comfortable then some other hotels/motels I stayed in that had more stars then this! great job on that.

For the price that I paid, this place is in need of many updates. Just be aware of that, as Expedia stated this place was not eligible for refund after booking. It was a bit dated and drab and cramped. Footsteps could be heard from the second floor all night long. So, if you do find yourself staying here, request the second floor.

Check in was easy, desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was old-fashioned but comfortable. Walls were a bit thin; next door residents were loud and audible through the walls. Once they stopped, though, it was silent. Great area, easily accessible from highway. Good restaurants within walking distance. Affordable rate, definitely worth the stay! Would stay again if returning to the area!

The room was small and the full size beds were smaller than standard fulls; they were shorter so not really comfortable for 2 adults. Also the water ranged from cold to lukewarm to warm. It did not get hot, so we could not take a hot shower. I let the office know of this problem when it arose (the morning after we checked in), and they did nothing. I told them again as we were leaving and asked for a partial refund because of the problem. We have not heard back.

Good affordable place, 1hr drive from Ski resort. It has microwave, fridge, easy to stay with kid. Only sink in the room which is missing in the bathroom, don’t get it, but it is ok. Good stay

Very quaint. The beds were full size instead of queen. Comfortable, though.

This place is quaint (actual keys instead of key cards!) and cute. The rooms are fairly small, not that we needed big rooms, but don't be expecting a ton of square footage. The big fridge in the room is nice. Some things could be in better repair. We booked 2 rooms. The deadbolt didn't work in one room, the iron didn't work in the other, and the bathtubs could use some caulk. But overall it's very clean and has everything you need.

This place is an old dump. It's old front entry motel with rooms from the 1950s. Bed was not comfortable. AC unit would not turn on. Had to open the window - street noise unpleasant.

We stayed for 2 nights, staff were very sweet and accommodating. The room was clean, and to us thats priority. It is an older hotel, and very basic which was fine for us. The matresses were a bit too soft for our liking, but we are also use to ultra firm at home so we don't have high expectations for the matresses at any hotel stay. They should note the don't offer a free continental breakfast, although there is a great breakfast restaurant with in walking distance and another about 3 min drive away.

Honest folks managing this property. A valuable was left behind and they saw to it that we were able to retrieve it. Thank you

Not super friendly folks....business in business out. Quiet place...dated, but clean. Not worth the price, but...welcome to motel stays, which i detest anyway.

Convenient for mt snow

Only 2 nights but perfect. Very clean and quiet. Easy safe walk to food, shops etc… Prices were fair. Will definitely be returning when in the area.

Easy to to get to other areas in and around town. Clean.

Quite simply, i would stay there anytime southern vt has snow. Its right off highway and the place is clean. The old decor reminds me of grandmas house, but they mixed in a nice large tv for kicking back after a drive.

Convenient location & early check-in option. Room was too warm ( couldn’t adjust thermometer) & coffee limited to 1 cup per person…

This motel is straight out of 1980. Smoking allowed on walkway outside rooms so smoke comes in to rooms. Bathroom counter peeling, curtain rod falling, etc. Contradictory information on breakfast and key return.
