The breakfast was a ticket that you ordered the night before, which was super convenient and came with a breakfast sandwich, hashbrowns, and other options, which made it perfect to-go. Room was clean and generously sized. Easy check in and check out. Fitness room was not accessible as of Aug. 2025.

This hotel was clean and front desk staff was very friendly. Our room was extremely musty. I don't know if it was from the air conditioner or what but it was hard to breathe. The bed was extremely soft. If you need a firm mattress, this is not the place to sleep. Parking was limited and dark. It looked okay during the day but at night, it felt sketchy. The breakfast has to be pre-ordered and it seemed to be tiny amounts of air fryer food. And I mean tiny amounts. Their "hash browns" were 6 tater tots. If you have food allergies, then they have nothing for you to eat. If you don't preorder the food, there is little available to eat. I think there was bagels and coffee. I don't recall seeing much else. I would stay here again if I had to. It would not be my first preference though.

We came up to Manitowoc to hike the Ice Age Trail. We stayed at this property for two nights with our 1-year-old. The price was fantastic and it was a comfortable and clean place for us to lay our heads at night. We were not disturbed by other guests at night. The air conditioner was loud and the mini fridge would hum or turn on/off periodically but after the first night we got used to the noise. Our 1-year-old slept soundly regardless. The complimentary breakfast was nice – we ordered the English muffin egg sandwiches each morning along with some sides. The portions are small, but nothing was wasted. There is a lovely outdoor seating area off the kitchen and another outdoor patio space in the front. The property was clean, and we liked the nautical theme – very on point for Manitowoc. The location was perfect for us as we did not want to be in the heart of Manitowoc. It’s close to everything you need including the downtown, eateries, and a Wal-Mart. The workout room was under construction when we stayed here. There is a game room with a large shuffleboard also on the property. We would stay here again if the price was the same – it was a great deal. We paid about $93 per night when we stayed in May 2025.

We were able to stay with our two dogs. The property is newly remodeled, clean, quiet, with friendly knowledgeable staff and if you want hot breakfast you order the day before. We felt 100% comfortable with our dogs. Very close to everything. We love Manitowoc and Two River area to allow our dogs to swim. Great place to stay!

The staff (evening & morning) was personable and helpful for suggesting places to eat and sights to see in Manitowoc before catching the ferry. They offered different times for breakfast and selections to choose from that were prepared to order and tasty. The rooms were attractive and up-to-date. There was a large patio in front with comfortable seating, as well as a nice lounge inside. It felt a bit homey, a nice change from the sameness of most franchise hotels.

Our room was quite humid & smelled slightly like mildew. The walls weren't cleaned very well, there were stains throughout room and bathroom. Other than that the room was very nice. Surprising little game room with a claw machine, shuffleboard, dart machine and slot machines. Coin laundry room available. They have a nice complimentary breakfast that you must place an order for. All in all I would stay here again, great value for your money.

The bathroom of the room we stayed in had mold covering the ceiling, parts of the tub finish looked to be chipping, and plumbing behind the toilet looked to be rusted but covered up with paint. It just looked like they covered everything in paint to try to hide the mold and rust. The rest of the room was okay, pretty small but enough space for 2, bed was decent. When we brought up the mold to the front desk staff, their response was just “okay! Well, you booked through Expedia so you’re all set” no apology, no questions, just told us we were good to check out, as if they were aware of it.

We arrived late on Friday night and we were exhausted from driving almost 6 hours to get there so we just wanted to get our stuff out of the car and get into the room. Upon checking in I found out that there was no elevator and I can barely do stairs so my daughter and the guy at the front desk brought everything up to the room for us. When I got into the room all I could smell was mold and mustiness. We were so tired and just assumed that the room had been closed up for a while and just needed to be aired out so we went to bed. We just got into our pajamas and crashed for the night after everything. We were planning on being gone for the entire day on Saturday so we got ready in the morning and then we left. When we came back on Saturday night the room smelled the same even after having the AC on all day. My daughter walked around the room to see if she could find mold anywhere and on the curtains she found lots of spots of black mold and because it's right over the AC it had been blowing the curtains and the mold all over us all night long. They were also lots of hairs found in the bathtub and I took a picture of the corner of the tub where there were a couple of hairs. My daughter went downstairs to complain and they told her they couldn't do anything and that the hotel was booked solid. In the morning they told me the manager would get in touch with me and he never called me. All the other hotels were booked solid and I couldn't afford to change hotels anyway.

The Harbor Town Inn staff is wonderful! They were so welcoming and helpful. Our assigned room was on the 2nd floor and when I realized there is no elevator, I let them know I have mobility issues and cannot comfortably use the stairs. They immediately found a first floor room for us. The young man who checked us in was so personable! The lobby is light and bright and includes a small store. Our room was fairly clean but small and very dated. There is only a bedside table on one side and barely any room to get in and out on the other side. There was a working fridge which was convenient and the TV was ok. The chair was comfortable but the fabric was stained. The outlets on the bedside table did not function and I had to stretch the cord for my C-Pap machine to plug in behind the fridge which was not convenient. The bathroom is TINY. The vanity top is small with not enough room to put out your personal toiletries. The shower handle was wonky and hard to adjust for the right temperature. There was a little mold on the grout. But the water was hot and there was good water pressure. You place your breakfast order the night before and they have a hot breakfast sandwich and other items ready for you in the morning at the time you choose. The Door County Coffee was excellent! I did not want to give a (somewhat) negative review because the staff are so very nice. With a few updates to the rooms this place could be a real gem.

Pros: Free breakfast, clean room, friendly service, convenient location, nice lobby/breakfast area Cons: Bed pillows were too thick, couldn’t sleep comfortably. Limited breakfast options. Breakfast must be ordered in advance, and my order was prepared incorrectly. Room TV does not have smart functions (can’t use Netflix, etc). Weak showerhead; shower water did not get hot (OK in this case given the hot weather)

Ugh this place is so run down. The staff guy was nice. The room was so humid and it stunk. All the plug ins too big so charger cord fell out. Bedside table about 2 feet lowere than bed. Walls and light switched filthy. Internet didnt work and could not cast on TV to watch prime nfl game. Desk dude said yeah thats an ongoing issue. ok. Bed was fairly comfrotable.

The hotel was just eh. Nothing good or bad really about the hotel. Rooms were clean. Girl at the desk was not very helpful. A dog was left alone in the room next to us and barked nonstop until the owner came back later that night. You do have to preorder your breakfast selections and select a time that you want to pick up, which I thought was a little odd. I probably would not stay there again.

They were very few guests staying in the hotel. I never saw another guest but at 2:30 am, a man outside my room was threatening his wife for two hours before I called the police. The front desk told me they were aware of it but the altercation only ended after I called and officers arrived.

Room hadn't been vacuumed - there was visible debris on the floor from prior guest. Cleaning people had left a large humdifier in the middle of the room when I checked in. Night staff was yelling/conversing down the hall at each other at 3 am with no consideration of guests trying to sleep. I got up & checked out. I will not be back.

Great family run business with very good coffee. Added breakfast was delicious. I know they are remodeling and all, but painting the bathroom walls with gloss Kilz paint would go a long way to keep bathroom looking fresh. They should sell their coffee in bags so you can take it home with you. Location was great, near shopping and food. Less than 10 minutes from Marina, lighthouse and quaint town.

Staff were friendly; room was clean and quiet. The pictures of breakfast items online were way more impressive than the actual breakfast. We could only select one entree and one side. We chose the cheese & bacon omelet. Bacon was scarce and the cheese was not real cheese. I chose the mini cherry strudel (emphasis on mini) and although it was flaky, the inside was hollow with a piece of cherry stuck to the outside. We went out to breakfast the second morning rather than eat in. Everything else was fine.

Our stay was pleasant but not exceptional. Here is a breakdown of the experience. 1. Service: The staff was generally welcoming. I would have given this 4-stars if it werent for the breakfast. At check-in you have to fill out a form on what you want for breakfast the next morning. Which is a little awkward. When you go down, there is no clear durections on where to get the food. After asking the woman at the front desk I was directed to walk back to the kitchen, find the cook and ask him for my food. Not gonna lie, it was strange. The food was 1.5 stars, only because you could eat it, you know, if you had to. 2: Cleanliness: It was decent. The room was nice. There were no frills, but we didnt expect any. If you want a comfortable room that feels well kept and relatively modern you will find it here. 3. Comfort: The bed was comfortable, the towels decent quality, and the room was plenty big enough. I honestly didnt see if there were temperature controlls, bacause the room was alrady comfortable. 4. Condition: All-in-all it is a decent place to stay. There werent any major or noticable issues with any of the spaces we were in. It feels up to date and newish. The parking lot is a little awkward and again that breakfast...but I digress. When looking for a place to stay wether visiting the area or as a pitstop on the way to a Packer game you can certainly do a lot worse. I would recommend the Harbor Town Inn, and be willing to visit again in the future.

Love this hotel! Best value in town. Incredibly comfortable bed with substantial bedding. Best breakfast I’ve ever had staying at a hotel. Breakfast sandwiches or omelet with hash browns or a mini waffle. Friendly staff. Oh & amazing tvs. Has walk ability to stores & health facilities! I just wish they’d lower the price for regulars because then I could afford to stay more lol.
