Super 8 by Wyndham Cheyenne WY

They accommodated me and my husband and our cat. Many hotels don’t allow cats. But allow dogs which is discriminatory against guests with cats A pet friendly hotel should be both. Or none at all. This hotel is very kind and so helpful. I’d recommend to anyone. I’m from south Texas and even our hotels aren’t as friendly

Parking is a little tight where I had to park but other than that everything was fine

Check-in and check-out were easy, staff were friendly and helpful, and room was clean and a good size. There isn’t really anything in walking distance, but it’s a quick drive to historic downtown, where there’s a lot of food, shopping, and parks. The hotel is pet and family friendly, but the rooms aren’t very soundproof to the outside—there were children screaming in the hall for most of the evening, which scared our cats. The A/C and the refrigerator in the room were functional, but the A/C was loud and it was hard to maintain a comfortable temperature, and the fridge/freezer didn’t keep food as cold as it should have. The hotel is across from the train tracks, but so is every hotel in Cheyenne, and we didn’t really hear the trains that much; toiletries are not provided (just hand soap and shampoo); and there is no elevator to the upper floors (there is a ramp down to the first floor).

Our second stay there. Clean, convenient and accept pets at a reasonable price. Will use them again.

Very convenient to interstate, dinning & has grassy place for dog.

Bed was fine, amenities were winderful fridge and microwave in the room and anice tv. There was also easy access to ice and guest laundry.

Not very many parking areas due to so many motels being bunched together.

First floor is kind of a half basement - downstairs. Beds are good. Just not super clean in the bathroom and room smelled a bit musty. Parking lot is a bit torn up and not much grass for dogs, but lots of grass at other properties next door for dogs.

The stay was great only thing is they don’t have elevator and there was me and my 2 daughters and our dog staying more then just a night so lugging everything up the stairs was rough.

Super convenient spot in Cheyenne! We stayed here for Frontier Days. Good water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed. They have laundry services and the front desk is very accommodating with making change to use the machines. Would stay again!

Floor was dirty. The whole place was rather dumpy. Breakfast options 👎 For the amount they charged they could do better. I wouldn’t recommend this place!

The floors were filthy. They sweep but never mop. Three floors no elevator.

Sticky beverage rings all over nightstand and desk. Floor was sticky. Hair in bathtub. Towels are awful. Hotel has thin walls and was noisy. We didn’t sleep well. Don’t believe the reviews or pictures. Worst of 7 hotels we stayed in on our trip. Overpriced.

After driving over 500 miles we were eager to check into our room. Upon arriving, we discovered this hotel had no elevator as it was built in the mid 70s. We were located on the second floor and thankfully it was only seven steps up. So we lugged all our things up and settled in for a good nights sleep. My traveling partner pulled back the sheets to begin to settle into bed and thought he noticed a hair in sheets. He got out his flashlight, the room is very dim with little to no light, and discovered lo and behold yes there were several hairs. In addition the top sheet had a stain with a hair connected to it. I’ll leave it to your imagination as to what the source of that stain might have been. We went to the front desk and the manager on duty to complain. She said she couldn’t leave the front desk as she had guests that we’re checking in, but she immediately moved us to another room. My partner went to the other room before we moved all our things and pulled back the comforter and lo and behold yes there was more hair and a hair that was very curly in nature. We worked with hotels.com to get a refund, which I have yet to receive although it’s not been 24 hours yet, and moved to a different hotel. Additionally the floors were filthy and a couple of towels were dirty. Don’t stay here!

It was a good, clean room and you can't beat the price. Super friendly staff and easy to get around the area.

The bedding was clean and updated but the bathroom was disgusting!! It was dirty, bathtub was stained, towels had stains. The room had a awful smell and the curtains had holes in them. Walking down the hall it smelled like urine. Rhe front lady at the desk was very nice.

It was very clean.

The back entry door was braced open with a broom to circumvent the key card reader security. The hallway smelled like urine. The floor in the room was sticky and there were red stains in the bathtub. There were a number of transients hanging around the motel. If we hadn't arrived so late in the evening, we would have tried to find a different place to stay.

The plumbing from other rooms running water or flushing a toilet was very loud, and it sounded like there was a train or something going by outside frequently. Breakfast was minimal, but the coffee was good.

AC was not working properly. Discovered it at midnight. Room.was updated but a/c heat was old

Extremely conveniently located, close to everything you need. Unfortunately, that includes close to a train track and highway, causing some noise. Doors are poorly insulated, there’s a 1/2 inch gap under each one or better which allows lots of hallway noise as well. Good value, clean rooms, very friendly staff.

The only problem was a non functioning TV. The Wi-Fi was good enough that I could watch Netflix on my laptop.

The air conditioner stopped working during the night. This caused me to wake in the very early morning as it was too hot and stuffy in the room. I was told it was because the AC had reached its temp setting. I had it set at 61F and the room was at 73F. Also, I put perishable food in the frig. The next morning all the food had gone bad because the frig was not cooling. I was told the frig was turned off to be more "green". It would have good for someone to tell me that or put a sign on the frig telling me that. It would have saved my food. Lastly, when we returned from an event, our room key would not open the exterior door in the back of the building. We walked around to the front, the fellow seemed quite frustrated and told us our key would open our room but not that door. It would have been good to put a sign on the door to tell the customers that. But, the fellow seemed upset enough I didn\'t tell him.

Friendly enough staff. Room we had was tiny. There was two of us and only one chair to sit on with not much room for anything else. No hanging space for clothes. The place was so noisy. Apart from the rail road outside we could hear conversations and all movement in surrounding rooms so no sleep. This was more to do with thin walls than other guests being too noisy. Would look elsewhere next time.

I liked that the floor in room didn’t have carpet. You can vacuum carpet but the dirt and grime stays in it. It was refreshing to step out of bed onto a clean wood / wood product floor.

Our room was “updated” and the decor was nice, but you could tell it was a “landlord special” type of update. Paint and new cheap flooring but little else. I didn’t expect much for a Super 8, but man, $111 for the bare bones room with a barely functional AC is crazy.

Clean room, friendly staff Cons: noisy

Noisy; an alarm in a vacant room kept going off at 5 a.m.for three days in a row. The clerk would not take care of the problem. T.V. was not connected and the clerk failed to fix it after two requests. No working room phone. No clock. Not safe for elderly and limited guest. Uneven pavement and side walks. No elevator. No safety bars in the tub. Unable to contact the hotel before the scheduled arrival. Then to top off the entire horrible experience, the trains were rumbling, screeching, roar through all night long. Yeah it was cheep - I wish I could get my money back as housekeeping took my personal pillow that I brought with me.

I reserved this hotel due to it being associated with Wyndham. What a mistake!!! At check in I had to pay $200 deposit since I was a Cheyenne resident. There was nothing on the website that told me this. Then at check out they HAD to go and look at the room to be sure I could get my deposit back. I am 74 years Old - What would/could I do to the room??? The bathroom was so small you couldn't open the door if you were at the sink. No Grab Bars in tub for safety. I requested to be on the 1st floor due to the hotel not having an elevator. IT wasn't first floor - it was a garden level with RAMPS to get to it!

Check in experience was seamless. Clerk was helpful with directions to the places/businesses we needed to get to.

Told the woman checking me in about my pet, was charged twice for the fee after explaining that I could see that my card was approved as well as the two charges on my card and being told by another person checking people in that the charge would be reversed it still hasn’t happened.

The hotel itself was okay. The room was clean, and the check in clerk was very nice. However, I was charged an additional $100, after I had already booked and paid online prior to the stay. The night of check in, there's a $100 charge on my account! No explanation, just an additional charge! I don't understand how a business can take your payment, then charge you again.

Close to downtown and museum, frontier days

Conjoined rooms. You can literally hear the person in the next rooms conversation. I even heard when they went to the bathroom. Not conveniently walking distance to places. I say the closest gas station would be a good 10-15 minute walk. Housekeeping could’ve done a better job at cleaning especially the bathroom! Luckily I travel with disinfectant wipes. Didn’t stay for breakfast but like the other reviews say it’s mostly cereal and pastries which is fine. Not worth the price in my opinion. It’s good for a one night in and out stay but I wouldn’t stay any longer than that.

The room had everything I needed - comfortable bed, room for my luggage, microwave, and refrigerator. There were several choices of things to eat for a light breakfast. The location is reasonably close to the I-80 and I-25 freeways. It is a bit of a drive to places to eat, but once there, many choices are available. And the old downtown of Cheyenne is architecturally interesting

Large room, very clean, friendly staff, gas stations and restaurants within driving distance. Nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, choice of cereals, bagels, bread, yogurt and boiled eggs.

The breakfast wasn't anything to brag about but it worked. My husband settled for yogart and some boiled eggs.

Probably the most basic hotel i've ever stayed in. And the continental breakfast was a joke

Pros: Probably the cleanest Super 8 I’ve stayed at. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Cons: Sparse breakfast choices.

Overall a nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, nice staff. Breakfast was ok, no hot foods available. Food selection was minimal. We stayed there while traveling for one night and would recommend staying there. The price for the quality was worth it.

Breakfast was minimalistic

Nice hotel. Can see that upgrades have been made along the way. The room is overall pretty clean, but the bathroom baseboards and walls could use a good scrubbing. Nice staff. Breakfast is basic. Some hot food, but its not in hot trays, so it gets cold fast. I would recommend this hotel.

All was good except for breakfast. Not much to choose from. The bread for toast was stale.
